Night time crew is rude and act as if they could care less what you eat or that you are there. My wife ordered a Breakfast, eggs over easy, the eggs came broken and over cooked. The hash browns were under cooked and had the texture of lumpy mashed potatoes and the bacon was virtually raw. My meal was not any better. I ordered a chili cheese burger with fries. What I got was a plate full of what tasted like 3 day old chili with a small bun right in the middle of the plate. When I dug through the chili to find the burger I found one that was paper thin with the texture of a piece of soggy cardboard. I don't know if there was any fries under all that chili. It tasted terrible, there was no cheese anywhere. The restaurant looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. The waitress/ cashier was rude and obnoxious. I told my 85 year old mother that I saw Dave's Diner had fried chicken. She rarely gets a good hot meal. Needless to say this 1/2 chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and mixed vegetables and chef salad was absolutely not the answer. The chicken was fried the day before, she called they said they did not fry chicken today. The potatoes and gravy seemed very old also. This meal was 20.00 and went into the trash. I'd read decent reviews for the place, so I stopped in for a late breakfast. First thing to note is that they only accept cash, so they have a sign letting everyone know, and an ATM in the lobby. There are only 10 tables available, and I'm sure they do what they have to to accommodate large groups. This particular morning, the place was hopping. Most of the tables were occupied, and the lone waitress told me to sit wherever. She was quick to bring the menu and get my drink order while she checked on the rest of the tables. The menu is pretty streamlined, which is a good idea for a place this small. I got the Slinger this time. The food came pretty quickly. It was just OK. The sausage patties seemed tough, but the eggs were good. I like raw onions, generally, but these white onions were super strong, and for me, off putting. Also to note: the restaurant was nearly full, and it was really quiet inside. Almost a bit eerie. But, there are video games by the window, if you have to have noise! This place wasn't my favorite, so I probably won't come back, but it was a quick meal at a diner for a reasonable price. read more

More affordable than most made to order Bfast places but I have noticed as of Sept 2024 that their prices have noticeably gone up. They are now more in price alignment with franchise places that offer a bigger menu and better location. read more

They are under staffed and they are human. The lady was the only one doing everything. Bless her heart! Had some rude customers come in mocking those that wore masks while introducing their politics in a time of nourishment. Wanted to hold my peace and actually apologized for offending the individual. Horrible service. Floor was dirty and didn't know it until after my meal. The Waitress was rude. She served my daughter chicken that was hard as rock. I could tell by looking at it and as a former waitress myself I'd never bring that to a table. I also don't like that they don't break everything down on your bill. Seems fishy to me then the cashier said I didn't give her enough money (I know I did) I think she pocketed the difference. They also didn't tell someone who was a regular to wear a mask. He was coughing his head off. He didn't have one at all. Very disappointed. I used to like this place, too. Service was excellent. I had French toast and tasted very good like homemade. My husband had Big Dave's breakfast and enjoyed pancakes, eggs over easy could have cooked a minute longer for him but the hash browns were the Best we ever had! So crispy and tasty. Bacon was ok. Cooked perfect but not the tastiest. Coffee was too weak for my taste but Dorcas, the waitress said she would make some stronger for me next time. Prices are very good. I will be back to try their famous fried chicken. Ambiance is basic Old diner. Just basic, nothing fancy. Nice and quiet too. This place is off the road a bit and can be missed but definitely worth visiting. I ate breakfast there and had a breakfast burrito that was quite tasty. The only negative was they only accepted cash but there was a sign informing people of that as you came in. I'd go back for sure. Love supporting diners like this. read more

This place is great. The food is great along with the service. Our waitress Toni, was working her butt off and doing a great job. It has that old diner feel, clean and so reasonably priced. I was killing time in the area and was hungry. I did a search for diner's in the area and Dave's came up. Seemed like a good place. So off I went. The diner is located in a little strip mall, the lot could use a little work. When you enter there is a bar to the right and several tables throughout the restaurant. Robin greeted me and told me to take any seat. She then brought over a menu and asked what I'd like to drink. I ordered Chicken and waffles with American Fries. Nice sized chicken tender. Tasty waffle. But I didn't much like the American Fries. I wanted to try one of the cakes behind the bar, but I was stuffed. I'll definitely be back, if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Dave's has moved to this location and is better than ever. Great service! Sunday's it's a fried chicken special that serves the best in the county. Just a great place for breakfast (I recommend the chicken fried steak and eggs) or a good bowl of chili and a grill cheese sandwich. Went in for breakfast after a friend recommended this place. It was horrible! The food that we could eat was not anything spectacular. Bland biscuits and gravy and microwaved pancakes. The worst part was the hash browns, they tasted spoiled. We didn't finish our meal. We did let them know and were only charged for drinks, but I would never go back. read more

Went in there because I wanted to try the place I live in the area and had always wanted to try the place out I got there and was instantly told that The kitchen was backed up it was going to be about 20 mins for me to get my food I thought OK no big deal I got nothing to do this evening anyways well 1 HOUR LATER I got my food just before I was getting ready to walk out and say screw it however food was pretty good and that's what saved this place from a 1 star I'll probably go back sometime and if I have better service next time my rating will go up read more

Well, the service and the food have gone downhill. Was also hoping they would get with the times and allow debit/credit cards.
