I'd read decent reviews for the place, so I stopped in for a late breakfast. First thing to note is that they only accept cash, so they have a sign letting everyone know, and an ATM in the lobby. There are only 10 tables available, and I'm sure they do what they have to to accommodate large groups. This particular morning, the place was hopping. Most of the tables were occupied, and the lone waitress told me to sit wherever. She was quick to bring the menu and get my drink order while she checked on the rest of the tables. The menu is pretty streamlined, which is a good idea for a place this small. I got the Slinger this time. The food came pretty quickly. It was just OK. The sausage patties seemed tough, but the eggs were good. I like raw onions, generally, but these white onions were super strong, and for me, off putting. Also to note: the restaurant was nearly full, and it was really quiet inside. Almost a bit eerie. But, there are video games by the window, if you have to have noise! This place wasn't my favorite, so I probably won't come back, but it was a quick meal at a diner for a reasonable price.

They are under staffed and they are human. The lady was the only one doing everything. Bless her heart! Had some rude customers come in mocking those that wore masks while introducing their politics in a time of nourishment. Wanted to hold my peace and actually apologized for offending the individual. Been around people traveling from all over the globe leading an recent event. Respected the only staff there the best I could and plenty of parking in the back. Great food and fresh. Nothing pre-made. Thank you

Dirty floor at Dave's and no we didn't do this. The floor was grimy so it's clear they haven't mopped it in awhile.

Horrible service. Floor was dirty and didn't know it until after my meal. The Waitress was rude. She served my daughter chicken that was hard as rock. I could tell by looking at it and as a former waitress myself I'd never bring that to a table. I also don't like that they don't break everything down on your bill. Seems fishy to me then the cashier said I didn't give her enough money (I know I did) I think she pocketed the difference. They also didn't tell someone who was a regular to wear a mask. He was coughing his head off. He didn't have one at all. Very disappointed. I used to like this place, too. I wanted to ask for money back but after the way they acted, I'll just probably never return.

Sunday close to noon at Dave's Diner!

Sunday close to noon at Dave's Diner! I had the breakfast special of 2 eggs, toast, potatoes(hash browns or American fried) plus smoked pork chop. GREAT! Cash only

I was killing time in the area and was hungry. I did a search for diner's in the area and Dave's came up. Seemed like a good place. So off I went. The diner is located in a little strip mall, the lot could use a little work. When you enter there is a bar to the right and several tables throughout the restaurant. Robin greeted me and told me to take any seat. She then brought over a menu and asked what I'd like to drink. I ordered Chicken and waffles with American Fries. Nice sized chicken tender. Tasty waffle. But I didn't much like the American Fries. I wanted to try one of the cakes behind the bar, but I was stuffed. I'll definitely be back, if I'm ever in the area again.

A real 24 hour diner. Fried chicken is great and cheap (half a chicken and 2 veggies for less than $10). Service was fine. I'll be back.

Not that I don't like this place but, it has always been one of my favorites of the fast food…read morerestaurant chains. This being said, after coming from my local venue, I must wonder what happened to the burgers. I can remember when you ordered a Jumbo burger from there, Jumbo actually meant Jumbo. The Jumbo burger itself wad a meal on its own. I just came home with two Jumbo cheese burgers and when I opened them up all I got was two small cheese burgers. Together they would not equal the size of what the JUMBO Burger use to be. In my book, they need to just eliminate the word Jumbo from their menu and just call it like it is. The Itty Bitty Teenie Weenie Cheese Burger. I asked for Onion Rings and got Fries and the 15 to 16 year old behind the counter going spastic all over the place said,I'm sorry sir, I don't know how that could have happened. I looked at him run in three different directions to fill a bag with items and glance up at the order for just a second and I believe I knew exactly how it happened. When I got my onion rings I hit him up with yet one more thing wrong, I pulled out box from the bag and asked him what it was. He said nuggets, I asked him, so who ordered them? He looked at my ticket and stood there just scratching his head. I think he was trying to figure out who really should have gotten them. Well, enough of my visit there. My BIG beef was that The JUMBO Beef now reminds me of an old commercial. WHERES THE BEEF???

My class and I were visiting St.Louis from the University of Memphis, and we decided to come get…read moresome pasta, despite the 2.5 star review. It was great! The service, food and atmosphere were all wonderful. Our waitress was very helpful in recommending me her favorite dish, which I ordered, and she always made sure our glasses were full. (I think her name was Alana, Aaliyah...?) Per her recommendation I got the Chicken Flamingo, which was moist and tender, and a side of red pasta, which was also great. I also got a cheesecake cupcake, which was THE BOMB, in addition to a 15% discount because I am military. I highly recommend going here!

My first impressions of Pasta House weren't great. The sign truly makes me think of Fazoli's and…read morethe interior is as though Applebee's had cheaped out on store design. As it happens, I'd have been happier with Fazoli's since, at Fazoli's at least you know what you're getting. Our appetizer was an order of Toasted Ravioli. I'd say they were about as good as the ones you get on the side of your pizza order. Since they were similarly priced, I wasn't mad. The salads were a more interesting case. We were asked if we wanted salad with our dinner. Two of us went for it. The house salad was a small, relatively soggy plate of iceberg and veg. The Caesar, on the other hand, was a massive bowl of Romaine with a few sodden croutons and a great deal of parmesan. It was at this point that I suspected that there was something I hadn't realized about the salad order. More on that later. Our meals arrived shortly thereafter and we were not at all impressed. The baked Mostaccioli was topped with provel, a cheese whose texture I have yet to gain a tolerance for since moving to STL. The sauce used in this dish could best be described as a cousin to whatever they put into a can of spaghetti o's. We ordered a meatball with it and the dense hunk of meat which arrived wouldn't have been too out of place in that can either. The tortellini in cream sauce was a disaster. The tortellini themselves had a gummy and off-putting texture. This was offset by a sauce which was completely unencumbered by flavor. The bright spot of this dish was the peas, which were reasonably al dente, and the shrimp which was adequately prepared. The Lasagne al Forno was probably the star of the table with a sauce nobody minded eating. Unfortunately, the noodles suffered from a similar affliction as those hapless tortellini mentioned above. What really capped off the meal was receiving the check and realizing that neither of us had ordered a "side salad". You may recall I was suspicious of this in terms of that gigantic Caesar and completely expected the 9.99 charge for that. On the other hand, the $8.19 charged for that snively limp little house salad was really uncalled for. If I never eat at this place again, it will be too soon.
