Came here for a business lunch with a coworker from out of town. It's a great spot to show some real STL local vibes and the frosted mugs for the root beer and cream soda really bring back some good old fashioned nostalgia. The service was fast and friendly the food was tasty with good vegetarian options. I had the falafel burger which was great! The fry's were perfect and crispy. It just hit the spot! It is also fun to watch them bottle up the soda and feel like you are part of the bottling plant. I don't always stop in to this part of town, but it makes a great impression when I am in the area! Wonderful location... Excellent service and hot delicious food. We had a party of 5 and waited 20 minutes but loved the huge floats and bottomless mugs of root beer. All the food selections we tried were hot and fresh. The fries were so crispy and crunchy and hot!! The Coney was perfect. The BBQ sampler was a big hit as well. Can't beat their smoked turkey. Surprisingly delicious food and fresh; good presentation and flavored well! I was not expecting much considering I've only known them for their sodas - too bad I didn't get to see any of the bottling process when I was there for a late lunch/early dinner. The restaurant is big, clean, bar area was closed but appears big as well. The soda bottling area is behind a glass window and I bet it'd be cool for young children to watch while eating their meals. Servers were friendly, polite and honest. Burger dine-in - patty and bacon were fresh off the grill. Fries were hot and crispy. I also enjoyed the crispy battered jalapeño and pickle slices, paired well with the burger on the side for me. Bbq sampler togo - includes turkey, briskets and pulled pork, baked beans and chilli not shown in pic. My husband particularly enjoyed this dish! Even though we've eaten at many bbq joints, we were surprised at the quality of the meats here. Meats were tendered but not mushy, chunky but not chewy, and not dry. Decided to hit up Fitz's SoCo after a movie, showed up with 9 people, which they were able to accommodate easily (we went early). Waiter was great, didn't rush the ordering and was able to breakout individuals/couples for separate bills. Food was good, I had the La Fiesta salad, it was loaded with grilled chicken and tasted fabulous! I tucked into it so fast I forgot to take a picture! Everyone was happy with their meals and the birthday girl ordered a root beer float, she loved it!!! I love Fitz's on Delmar and visit consistently with family and friends. I expected to have a pleasant meal here, as well, when I visited the evening for my friend's wedding party celebration. My friend has survived a stroke in her 20's so this wedding is insanely important to her and us as her friends who love her. The server we had was fantastic. He was kind and congratulated the couple on their wedding. However, I cannot believe what the redheaded female employee (if more of a physical description is needed so she can be justly fired, please contact me) did as it was entirely inappropriate behavior for a service job or life in general. We had finished our main meals but one person was still finishing her ice cream float as we chatted. This employee woman grabbed a balloon from another table, popped it loudly behind the groom-to-be's ear, then started telling another employee to pick up all of our dishes. They also took the half-finished float from right in front of the woman who was still drinking it. We had not been asked politely to leave or told anything like that, as we had only finished our meals and paid about 5 minutes prior. Regardless the behavior was extremely inappropriate for any establishment, from an employee or otherwise. I expected she did similarly to the other tables as three other parties hurried out right after she visited their tables. We debated causing a scene over her disgusting behavior and settled on remaining on the table to talk for about 20 minutes longer than we otherwise would have, naturally. This woman should be gone as she is clearly unstable and unemployable. I will not be returning to either location after this absolutely atrocious service. To the woman who behaved this way and thought it was somehow justifiable: you should be ashamed of how you treated us. Believe it or not, we are people with feelings. We went in a Sunday around 2, were seated right away. The buffalo chicken wrap was ok, it had melted cheddar cheese inside and not much lettuce or tomatoes, it felt more like a cheesy buffalo roll up than a wrap. The sauce is smokier than traditional. The fish and chips were 2 large pieces of crispy fish and fries, the tartar sauce was really good and fresh. The buffalo cauliflower was also good, the cauliflower fry seemed a little dark but was still a tasty vegetarian option. Wasn't crowded, but the restaurant is a little loud no matter when you go. We came here after reading some of the "must-dos" while in St.Louis. The floats and sodas were very good and definitely worth the trip! The floats were very large! Had we known how large they were, we likely would have shared! We did have dinner here as well. The food was pretty decent, but not the best I've ever had. We had the roasted ravioli and each got a burger with a variety of toppings. The toasted ravioli was something we had never tried before, and ended up liking it! Such a fun experience! The root-beer is incredible and there is a huge selection of soda flavors. We tried the peach pop and it was delicious and refreshing. The food was good but the drinks are where it's at. We got the fish and chips and gluten free chili cheese dog. The fish was flaky and not greasy at all and the chili dog was very flavorful with the right level of spice and zip from the fresh onions. This wasn't my first time here and it certainly won't be my last. First of all our server, Rebecca, was super nice, personable and very attentive. I got the patty melt and the only complaint I have is that the burger patty is a little small for the bread. A little tip from me to you, when you receive your hot sandwich right away stick it on top of your fries or flip it around or something because the bottom tends to get soggy no matter where you eat. I did that here, I put the sandwich on top of my fries and perfection. Which brings me to my side. Fries, cooked crispy. They came out exactly as ordered and I couldn't have been happier with them. Add with that the bottomless fountain drinks and you've got yourself a great meal. HINT FROM ME TO YOU: Try to visit Fitz's at an off time. If you go at meal time be prepared to wait for a table. Visited on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago for lunch with a friend. They do have "no wait" so I recommend getting on the list ahead if you can. The wait time we were quoted was about 20 minutes and we arrived around 12:30pm. We were seated at a table and they provided 1 menu, but had the QR code on the table for us to scan to view the menu online. Our server came over after a few minutes to greet us and get us started with a drink order. My friend and I were feeling adventurous and decided to each order a float because, why not? I was really excited to try the Cherry Bomb and I also asked for a water. Making floats can take additional time, so while we waited we looked over the menu and made decisions for our entrees. When our server came over to deliver the floats, we were ready to order. I decided to order the turkey burger (Gobbler) with fries. Food came out pretty quickly and looked great. My Turkey burger was really good and it was kind of big so I only managed to eat half of it. I did enjoy the fries and my friend shared an onion ring with me which was also tasty! I recommend ordering onion rings if you can. Our server came over a few times to check on us and made sure we were good. It was a good experience and the food was good; the floats were pretty look at...but kind of messy to enjoy. Definitely great to see that Fitz's has expanded. It's been awhile since the one in South County has been opened, but I recently went and wanted to share my experience! First, the place is definitely larger. However, I can't tell if the reason is because of the high ceilings or the amount of open space that makes the place look twice as big as the first location (in the Delmar Loop)! Second, the waiter was great and attentive to the details! And the chefs in the back definitely prepared the meals to our table's liking! What we got: The River City Burger with everything on top (not pictured) The Bourbon Burger with everything on top The Bottler's Burger with everything on top and no cheese The burgers were great, not drying! They were flavorful and the toppings were all great except for the very strong and overpowering onions. I had maybe a bite of the onion because I took it out of the burger. If you love more raw onions, then definitely put stick that sucker back in! haha All the dishes came with your choice of side. We all had chosen the fries and we did not regret it! None of us got the floats because we had gone much later in the night (around 8pm on a Tuesday). We have already had a majority of their floats at the other location. For whatever strange reason, I have loved Fitz' turkey burger for years..... Its this weird obsession. Anywho- its great for kids- the floats are the obvious reason, and the food is overall decent. Every time I come here, I am reminded why I do not come here that often. Fitz's make great soda and, by extention, they make great floats here. Service here is good, I've never had a bad experience on that front. Unfortunately, much of the food is overprcied, and either not fresh or poorly prepared. If you want to serve frozen chicken fingers, please don't charge like you are making these from scratch, you aren't and it 100% tastes and shows. My chicken sandwich was dry and stringy, fine if this is fast food, but it isn't suppose to be. We enjoyed our visit at Fitz's SoCo. The dining room is large and features a cocktail bar and ice cream bar. You an also order off menu at each bar. There was a wait but it wasn't too long and the restaurant has a lot of benches to accommodate waiting. We enjoyed our Coney and Slinger. The chili is pretty good, not spicy but more mellow or similar to Cincinnati style chili. We each had a bottomless mug of root beer which includes getting to change flavors. I tried Rootbeer and Black Cherry, hubby got those two and cream soda. The Coney came with onion rings which I enjoyed- crispy and large. Awesome experience! I won a free dinner through Instagram so we had to ask for a manager, he sat us and was super nice! Our waitress Grace was extremely helpful and nice as well. Wasn't super busy since it was a Tuesday so we didn't have to wait to be sat. The food was all very delicious. My boyfriend had the STL slinger and he said it was super good. I had the chicken club asked them to make it fried and add lettuce & tomato, It was so good & it cane with a garlic aioli that was amazing. I enjoyed our visit to this newer location. The burger, fries, and float I had were very good. Our waitress was very accommodating and nice. The dining area was spacious and fairly clean looking. The restaurant is relatively new, but it is not complete. They are doing some construction outside making a patio area and maybe a new entrance. Inside, it looks like some construction is taking place where the soda will be bottled. In addition to the construction, it was a little confusing when I wanted to purchase some bottled soda to take home. The soda is displayed at the entrance which has a counter, hostess, and what looks to be a touch screen register. I grabbed the soda I wanted and took it to the counter ready to pay. The hostess said that I needed to pay our waitress for the sodas and that they weren't set up to sell from the front counter yet. Seems a little odd to open a restaurant that not completely ready. Anyway, hopefully they get all that done soon. The place was busy on Friday at lunch. I think it will do well at this location. read more

What a fantastic place! Love the ambience and the atmosphere. The original Fitz's SoCo was located in a warehouse in St Louis and has now been relocated to its new location here! What once was a Lumber 84 warehouse, is now a bright shiny new penny! The waitstaff and food and company and facilities were fantastic! And the portions are enormous and well worth the price. They make their own sodas on sight as well as homemade root beer and cream sodas. Can't decide on cherry, peach, cream, root beer, or any of their many other flavors, try the variety endless mug for $3.99! The fried pickles were delicious and they fry up the entire jar for one order!!!!! If you are looking for somewhere to impress or just a hang with the guys, Fitz's SoCo is your place! I was recommended the brisket sandwich and I should have known but I trusted the server and it tasted like an over cooked pot roast. Next time I will stick to getting a burger. a friend of mine got that and said it was decent. It's very similar to tgif or Applebees. What you see is what you get. The restaurant is open and spacious and accommodating for large groups, plus it's very kid friendly! This is a mainstay in our house with small kids. They LOVE coming to Fitz's for the bottomless mugs, and so do we! Service here is always great and they have a good variety on their menu and kids menu. Their pretzel sticks app is amazing! Their monster burrito is my favorite and I get it made vegetarian. We were looking for a spot with great food that could accommodate the 12 of us. Lisa was our server and she was exceptional! She had a pleasant attitude as she took our order.
