Grilled Norwegian Salmon "The Works" Baked Potato
    Kizito N.

Would not really recommend (dinner). Stopped by with family for a birthday celebration. I drove up there a little earlier to get our name on the wait list, they do a traditional paper waitlist instead of call/texts so just be aware of that. The wait for 7 wasn't that long and we were seated promptly. It was a bit dark in there for a Saturday evening, also FYI. We were brought out rolls by our server and we ordered mozzarella sticks and toasted ravioli as appetizers. The toasted ravioli was pretty good (9/10) but the mozzarella sticks were okay (7/10). For our meals, we were brought out dinner salads and a complaint that majority of us had was the ranch being too watery. Ill give them points for having bacon bits on the side to add to the salad. I ordered the Grilled Norwegian Salmon with Cajun seasoning and the Works Potato. Also was able to try the Filet Mignon with the Works Potato as well. For the salmon, I would rate it 2/10. It was charred too much to where I couldn't even taste the seasoning. Because it was over-charred, the fish was very dry, I tried using A1 sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sour cream, butter, etc to try to save the fish but I simply just could not finish it. The steak on the other hand was better, the A1 sauce definitely helped but even at medium, it still had a little more chew than suppose to. The Works potato looked like it was going to be star of the show but it seems as if they loaded the top of the potato and forget about that interior area (5/10). One of my other family members said that they got one of their burgers with fries and the fries were a very hard/crunchy. Overall, I probably won't be back to this location. They have another one in Soulard which I heard might be better. Their prices were pretty good for what you got and their service was amazing which is why I keep them at 2-star despite poor food performance. That is no knock to the business at all, just giving my honest feedback.

We came here for family dinner and sat outside. I can attest to the cocktails or the inside but I can say our server was AMAZING as well as the young man who was his busser. My mom didn't enjoy her cheeseburger, said it was dry and didn't taste good. We ordered the steak specials of the night. Ribeye with 2 sides, opted for a Loaded Baked Potato which is $2.75 extra but well worth the upcharge. The loaded portion has cheddar cheese and real bacon chunks with sour cream. We also opted for a side of vegtables which is a $2.75 upcharge as well. The vegtables are seasoned and the portion is large. A medoly of broccoli and green beans. The ribeye was cooked perfectly as requested medium. They provide bread for the table which I didn't get a chance to taste. The nightly specials are well worth a try, budget friendly and delicious.

We had burgers here one night on a whim, and they were excellent burgers! Just a little pink exactly like I asked for, and brushed with a little steak sauce just how I like it. The fries were better than my veggie side, could use better side veggies but that's ok. Our service was excellent and the place was clean. It was one of those really cold nights and we were lucky to be sat right in front of the fireplace, turned out to be a very nice date night. Thank you for the great meal!

Really good visit. I think an improvement actually since last visit. Ribeye special was good and I think a better cut than previous experience. Old Fashioned cocktails were just okay, needs some practice. Baked potatoes were outstanding. Service was great. Keep improving.

Not my first time trying out Tucker's Place, but saw lots of reviews on what they were famous for, steaks. Once we were seated I started to remember my last experience. The setting is a bit dark, a bit crowded as in the tables being close, and there were some areas on the walls questionable of how recently they were wiped down. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were served with marinara. They were hot and had a good cheese pull. Steaks were served with rolls, a house salad, and a baked potato. My first take away was that she was informative about the specials, though when ordering my salad I didn't realize there was bacon on it. It was loaded with bacon when the busser brought it out quickly. The problem is that I don't eat pork, which isn't that uncommon with how many cultures are in the area. I didn't end up eating it because it was hard to pick through. The steak was served and it was hot and had a good charred taste but was a little rarer for ordering it medium. Baked potato hot but nothing more than a normal potato. Only one other time she checked into our table until we asked for the check. It was a good meal, though probably won't come again unless for the bar aspect.

We started with drinks, the circle 7 old fashion and their lemonade, they were both good. The appetizer list had so many good options but we landed in the pickle coins, these were the best fried pickles I have ever had, each was perfectly breaded and fried. For our mains we got the voodoo chicken tacos (with rice and beans) and the garlic lime shrimp tacos (with Mexican street corn). We both loved the tacos, my only complaint was that I wish the dishes were a little warmer temperature wise when they arrived to us. Looking forward to coming back with friends and trying to sit at one of the tables with the self serve beer taps!

Almost couldn't park here when we arrived but squeezed in the very back behind the coffee shop. Started with Grilled Chicken Skewers, a shock top on draft and 2 house margaritas. Margaritas were great and they make their house mix so not super sugary like some can be. Grilled Chicken Skewers were very moist and the sauces were plentiful. Bf says they could be cooked longer and were too tender for his taste. Server was great and brought us an extra sauce, we got a creamy mayo based one a ranch and hot honey... or something like that ;) For dinner we got one order of the Buffalo Trace Bourbon Glazed Burger w/fries and the Chicken Torta Sandwich w a side of the soup d'jour (chicken tortilla) All great just so full we ended taking most of it home with us!

We have food allergies so we were not able to try their mac 'n' cheese. We did enjoy themed cocktails. The server was exceptional (attentive, efficient and knowledgeable about our allergies). In addition to cocktails, I tried a GF hard cider. The trivia itself was hosted by an outside company (not Dirty 20 Bar). I thought it moved too slowly/took too long between questions and rounds for a work night. I need my sleep. However, it was still fun. In summary, we loved the bar and can't wait to return with some friends to place some board games and sip some cocktails on a rainy afternoon.

I read about this place somewhere and added it to the list and we tried it tonight! The patio was empty. I'm guessing it was because it was near 100 degrees. The bar area was pretty full and the dining room was fairly busy when we got there, but we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was pretty new, but she was friendly and gave us some recommendations. The menu looked great so it took us a few minutes to make our choices. We started with drinks and I ordered the Blue Heeler which was nice and summery and refreshing. My husband ordered a beer. We decided to start with the Fried Lobster Bites. We each ordered a sandwich and we split them between the two of us. We got the Local House Burger and the Reuben. We chose fries for our sides. I know the Fried Lobster Bites are popular, but we're not fans. They were too salty, very heavily breaded and the lobster wasn't great. We won't get those again. Both the burger and the Reuben were really good! We ate the Reuben first because the bottom piece of bread was already getting a little soggy (not sure that I've ever had one that didn't get a little soggy). There was a lot of meat on it! The burger was good, but I was already full and only had a few bites. The fries were also very good! We'll definitely be going back!
