We went to Thorn during happy hour with a group of 12, and the service was great. They were able to accommodate our large group without any issues, which we really appreciated. The food was good overall simple American-style dishes. Nothing fancy or particularly amazing, but it didn't taste bad either and was solid for happy hour. The drinks, however, were not great and were probably the weakest part of the experience. That said, I would still go back for a casual bite during happy hour, especially if you're with a group and looking for a relaxed spot with good service.

One of my new favorite bars in Miami. Amazing happy hour deals. The wedge salad is to die for and the vibes are always amazing. Staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and have great recommendations. Validated surface lot parking nearby. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Loved it here! Large space & fast service. They have indoor and outdoor seating. A lot of food options. Pizzas are good, croquettes and fries. Parking is the only con as it can be tricky but had a great experience !

I actually love this spot for their very very delicious oysters and cocktails. Take advantage of their happy hour! I haven't been there in a long time but Bridgette used to take amazing care of me and service was always spectacular. Their pizza is also a must have! If you're looking for a nice spot with good music, nice lighting, and even better food & drinks, you can stop looking! 10/10 will be back again!

We went for a happy hour outing with my wife's coworkers, and we were recommended to head out to Thorn. Located in a new condo complex in Bird Road, I was surprised what was hidden in that spot. Thorn felt like something you will find in the beach or downtown a bar lounge with a DJ and full menu. The group ordered chicken wings and pizza and both were very tasty. The waitress was really nice and helpful with our orders.

Stopped by to eat lunch and had this nice combo of beer and meatball sandwich. I was surprised at how good it was and it was a lunch special. I'll be back.

I can't get enough of this spot! Definitely the spot to go to for great music, ambiance and the staff delivers excellent service from start to finish. I tried some new items and it didn't disappoint. I loved the honey truffle siracha, regular french fries that are far from ordinary and super delicious! My friend had the burger, which she devoured and we also had the shrimp cocktail. I'm still in my mocktail era and the reset button nailed it! This place is great and just so you know, they validate your parking for three hours and the post office parking lot is available after a certain time to park there. Thorn does it right. Enjoy!

Thorn is a nice hidden gem on bird road. The drinks here are always good. This time I had the spicy margarita and it was refreshing. To eat, I had the oysters, which were fresh, and the sriracha truffle wings. The wings were okay. They could have been cooked better and you couldn't really taste the truffle. The happy hour menu is decent. The ambiance is relaxing and the staff is nice. Now they validate parking which is a plus. Cry baby is no longer there but Thorn has deserts of its own. I would return here for happy hour.

Love the area even though parking is a pain. I enjoy the happy hour drinks and to finish off to get some ice cream. The service is pretty good. I like that they validate parking. The biggest downfall is parking because food and drinks are great!

This is a hidden gem! The place is decorated beautifully. I tried the tostones rellenos they were packed with flavor and the tostones were crispy and not soggy at all. I had 2 croquetas from dos croquetas and they were delicious as well. The wine was perfect. Bridget was an amazing server. I will definitely be back to try other menu options and drinks! Highly recommend going as a date night or with your friends! Such a cute spot

Good atmosphere, good food, and good ice cream around the back. The only issue is parking if things are busy.

Zero greeting, zero eye contact. We waited almost 10 minutes just to get acknowledged while he was chatting with another customers at the other end of the bar. When he finally took our order, he barely listened. I asked for a classic Old Fashioned and he brought me something that tasted like watered-down whiskey with too much bitters and a random orange slice thrown in. My friend's whiskey sour was unbalanced -- definitely not worth the $18 price tag. I politely mentioned to recommend us another drinks options he just shrugged and said "we don't have that" Not offer another choice or an apology. The drinks were mediocre at best, but his attitude made it worse. He ignored us most of the night and acted annoyed every time we ordered. Zero professionalism. The place has a great vibe but with service like this, is not worth to spend almost $200 dollars there for few drinks. I don't remember his name but he was tall, Latin and maybe from Colombia. We just wanted to report his behavior to management but in a Saturday's night you just don't want to ruined more. Next.

So, let's get into it: I don't know about you, but the one thing I do not enjoy doing is driving and circling around, being lost, just to find an establishment. So, I love that this restaurant is so easy to find with good signage, lots of nearby parking, both street and lots. Anywho, once I parked, the manager Judd was so friendly and kind and directed me to the table where my friend was seated. He overheard that I was kind of speaking loud over the music when I barely had a voice due to losing it from another event, so he kindly turned down the music for us. Once there, service was quick and attentive. I got a Fresh Paloma for my drink and the Seared Salmon for dinner. The drink was a good size and tasted good, no complaints there. As for the dinner, WOW. This was delicious, I would get this again. The flavors were there and the portions were just perfect (not too much and not too little, I usually never get enough or leave with leftovers). Also, not overpriced for Miami in my opinion. Aside from that, I did try some of my friend's off-menu pasta and it was really yummy. Furthermore, they have great weekly specials: (Note, subject to change. Please check Instagram or call for Current Week): Tuesday: Burgers and Bottles, $10 Burgers and Half off Select Bottles of Wine Wednesday: Double Loyalty Points and Fire, Flour & Fizz ($12 Pizzas, $12 Aperol Spritz, $7 Prosecco, 5pm-close) Thursday Ladies Night: Complimentary Bubbly for Ladies 4pm-7pm Sunday: 10am-4pm Bloody Mary Bar Go check it out, I don't think you'll regret it. The music was great and people were enjoying their time. We had 1 cocktail each and went on our way because we just came to check out the spot honestly. I had the fabulous martini which has a purple hue to it, it was very refreshing. I love that they garnish it with a lavender. The espresso martini was made with Don Julio Reposado, and had real fresh espresso as per the menu. It was good but a bit strong too! We had asked for an extra shot of espresso on the side just as a pick me up. But our server told us that it comes cold, which is odd because the menu literally says freshly brewed espresso in the cocktail description. It was fine though, we still enjoyed the drinks. Overall, our experience was nice! If you are ever in the Hialeah area, you should totally check this spot out. They also have bites you can order but we were full from dinner and didn't get a chance to try anything. Definitely have to come back to try some more cocktails and grab some bites!

I started with the sweet-sauce chicken wings, perfectly crispy and full of flavor, followed by a round of tacos, some with beef, others with chicken, fresh and well balanced. I also had the chance to shake things up with an espresso martini or known as RumWake. It had all those rich coffee aromas and an interesting twist from a banana nut texture. It was good, but I still prefer the classic version. Their mojito, which I usually don't enjoy, totally surprised me, bright mint notes toned down the sweetness just right. At Mamey, they call it the "Mint Condition," and it's definitely worth a conditional try. The one drink I liked the least was the Serata, essentially an Aperol spritz with Asian gin blended with Prosecco. It felt watered down and the flavors just didn't come together for me. Overall, Mamey delivers a unique "island-minded" experience that blends flavors from the Caribbean, Asia, and Latin America. Between the beautiful setting, creative menu, great cocktails (with a couple of misses), and attentive service, it's a spot I'd come back to for both casual nights and special occasions.
