    Guava & Cream Cheese Croissant
    Josiah D.

Finally had the chance to stop by Third Cliff Bakery this morning. I've had a number of friends recommend this spot, so the expectations were certainly high.... And third cliff did not disappoint! I ordered the signature coconut cold brew and a Guava & Cream Cheese Croissant. I was hesitant about the croissant because of the flavor mix, but it was one of the best bakery items I've purchased recently -- I would definitely recommend it! The coconut cold brew was super strong -- no need to add flavors, milks, etc. The staff was super friendly and quick with my order which I appreciated! Beware of the weird hours, they're closed Mondays and Tuesdays! It's evident Third Cliff knows what they're doing. Probably the best overall bakery I've been to in Jamaica Plain (and I've been to them all!). A must-have.

A cute bakery at the corner of Washington Street in JP right across from the car wash station. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to find a quick bite for lunch. I ordered the infamous guava and cream cheese croissant and a peanut butter cookie. The service was quick and I was able to find a seat by the window. The croissant was super flaky while the filling creamy and sweet. The peanut butter cookie I ate the following day and it was still soft with lots of flavor. They do have restroom with fully painted walls of different food, animals, and plants all with eyes on them. Overall, I'd definitely return when I'm in the area and in need of a little pick me up.

I usually see a line outside the door driving by which is what caught my attention to try them out. The line forms quick because not many can fit inside the line once in (~5ppl). I don't have anything bad to say it's an average bakery. Great variety of goods. The croissant I was most excited about but it was underwhelming, crispy yes, flaky no, soft on the inside no.

It is always a good sign when there is a line out the door! This homey little bakery had several standout baked goods! The surprise hit was the vegan cardamom morning bun. Not only was it super flavorful, it was perfectly flaky. No one would know it was vegan! (which is mean as a compliment!). The brownie was decadent and delicious. The chocolate croissant was solid. The pizza pastry was surprisingly good despite being kind of basic in conception. Lots of flavor. I enjoyed the olive oil grapefruit cake. But I love simple cakes. The only critique would be that the grapefruit was barely detectable. I highly recommend this place. Also don't be discouraged by the line or the small footprint. We were able to secure a seat to enjoy the baked goods.

Wow. I was impressed by my first time visit to Third Cliff. Food was spectacular. Kimchi croissant, mushroom chive bun, blood orange chocolate almond cake. The croissant was crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The bun was actually vegan but made no difference and was so tasty. The almond cake was moist and delicious. The coconut cream cold brew was quite thick and creamy. I personally had to dilute it with a splash of milk! You order at the counter and the food is ready while the coffee is made to order and only takes a few minutes. Ambiance is bright and airy, very cozy as in they have green plants high above you and it's a pretty sight to see. Parking is available on the street and should not be an issue. If you're looking for a bakery of high caliber in this area, it's Third Cliff for sure. Now only if they'd serve some hot dishes or packaged sandwiches too, mmmm.

They had two vegan pastry options, one sweet and one savory, and they were both delicious. Their laminated dough is sensational. Everything was perfect. My companions has non-vegan items which they also enjoyed fully. I was told to expect a big line but we arrived before 10am on a winter Sunday and had no issues, but there are stansions to allow for a long and winding line. The locals we were visiting brought a thermos of tea thinking we'd be lined up outdoors for awhile. The employee at the counter was very sweet helping a child in a our group make a decisions between a chocolate croissant and grapefruit olive oil cake - really treated this child like a whole person. Everything we had was perfect and they offer plant milk. Five stars if everything was vegan.

Such a cute cafe with a unique menu! The workers are very friendly and patient if you have any questions. I loved my coconut latte- strong flavor and balanced. The kimchi cheese croissant is flaky, light, and a satisfying breakfast treat! I highly recommend the cardamom bun to everyone- the flavor isn't overpowering and it's one of my favorite pastries in Boston.

I popped in here the other day as I was staying in the area and this place came highly recommended. It's a cozy and warm cafe and bakery with large windows that let in a lot of light. They have a wonderful selection of pastries and coffee/tea drinks. I got a matcha latte and the apple coffee cake muffin and the other person I was with got a cold brew and a plain crossaint. Everything was very fresh and the service was warm and friendly. I would definitely come here again!

Cutest bakery in JP! Immaculate vibes, with tables you could work or read at. Password-protected customer Wi-Fi. I got a vegan apple coffee cake muffin, chocolate croissant, and kimchi cheddar croissant, all yummy!

Best pastries in Boston, no question. They also have the biggest, most stunning monstera I've ever seen. Very welcoming and inclusive environment. Beautiful art all over the store as well!

The line is long but the rewards are great. Guava cream cheese croissant is elite and so flaky. They also have gluten free and vegan goodies. Modern and zen interior with some seating. Staff were friendly. Prices are pretty standard for Boston.

One of my favorite bakeries in the city and a frequent haunt from when I lived in Forest Hills. They serve a broad range of first-rate baked goods made fresh, in-house daily. Offerings run from well-executed classics (I.e. pain au chocolat, cookies and muffins) to more playful and exotic creations (I.e. the guava-cream cheese and kimchi-cheddar croissants). The egg cups are the perfect savory breakfast snack with bright flavor and buttery, flakey pastry. They also offer a full service coffee bar. The staff are friendly and efficient. Seating is a little limited so I typically take-out. If you go on a weekend morning, be prepared for a line but it moves pretty quickly!

Amazing croissant pastries! They are so light and airy with lots of flaky layers. Unique flavors like kimchi croissant and the guava cheese croissant. Didn't feel heavy at all despite eating so many and I would not be able to guess that everything is vegan! The employees there were super sweet, and gave great recommendations.

Some classics including the guava cream cheese croissant and the morning bun

Jadu is a chic wine bar in Jamaica Plain that I had the privelege of checking out for the first time with friends. Located on the busy Centre street, this posh wine bar is something to talk about. Our server Alex gratiously mentioned some of their wine specials. We opted to stick to the menu, which had a lot to choose from. I recommend trying out a few different varietals, your palate will thank you :) I tried their Rose Pet-Nat which was phenomenal and everyone else had something different. Their menu is small, tapas style but yet so delicious and eloquent. We shared their Whipped Feta, Bread & Whipped Butter, Salad and Rice Pudding for dessert. Everything was spectacular! For 4 people we were full, but I could've stayed for more wine. There's never a dull moment when it comes to wine, right! I know that Boston has a ton of wine bars, but Jadu is something special. From the cozy ambiance to their fabulous and fun wine selections, it felt like I was in my own living room. And, maybe that is the vibe that are going for, but nevertheless they are worth a visit. I'd definitely come back to check that out. I tried the hot cocoa and the Maggi. The hot cocoa was delicious, rich and chocolatey without being overly thick or heavy. The Maggi had some really fun and unique ingredients, including avocado, and the tofu was especially well seasoned and flavorful. The only downside was the broth. It was labeled as a soup, but it felt incredibly watered down and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting especially since I grew up eating maggi. The toppings and ingredients themselves were good, but the broth didn't quite bring everything together. My husband got the tuna salad bowl and enjoyed it.

The coffees were pretty run-of-the-mill, nothing to write home about. The flavor in the latte was pretty weak. I added caramel to it as well, but it just tasted like milk; it's nice if the espresso taste or caramel flavor shines through, but it didn't deliver here. Fiore's and Third Cliff are still my go-to's for a good latte. While we waited for the burrito to come out, the chef came and told us he didn't have the necessary ingredients.
