I have seen a lot of Asian restaurants run by Asians and one thing I have never liked is the more often than not, run down feeling to the places. This place is well maintained, clean and gives one the feeling everything is brand new. The food is good and reasonably priced. If Fallon was San Francisco The Wok would have troubles competing with "real" Chinese places but I think it would survive. read more

The Wok has continued to decline since I arrived in Fallon in 2014. First was the Sushi and the portions of raw fish on the Sushi roll. Most of their sushi is tempura Style. Today I called for 20 minutes before getting through only to have them hang up instead of putting me on hold. I was able to call back and place a Togo order. I ordered "Three Flavors with Garlic Sauce" I picked my order and placed it in my car then drove to work. When I arrived to work there was a huge mess in my back seat. They placed my order in a single hinged container, there must have been a lot of garlic sauce as it was everywhere. In stead of a thick garlic sauce it was like soup. I can't believe they are so ignorant that they place this type of dish in a container that is not leak proof. If you are looking for Sushi and can go to Reno try Ijji ( eye jay jay eye ) it is awesome and worth the trip. Other Asian dishes go to VN Pho. The Wok needs to improve in customer service and stop thinking they are the only game in town. read more

This place is horrible. Went there yesterday 3/24/14. They seated us and never came back. We just sat there for 30 without any service. We even tried to get there attention numerous of times but no luck. We ended up walking out hungry. Very disappointed. Staff need serious training. read more

This is the only place I will eat in Fallon...period....The Chinese is right on and has a ton of flavor. I know this because I have been eating these flavors for years now. There is a difference between Chinese food and Chinese fusion. And now Sushi menu and all you can eat? In Fallon? I've been traveling the country and Its very important for people to understand that all you can eat sushi basically exist in Reno NV only. Fallon is less then two hours drive from Reno.....Ok so buy it and eat it because the fish only traveled less then two more hours to be served. I would like to also mention that I have had very high priced sushi in San Francisco and the fish was stale. So when it comes to sushi what really matters is if the fish is being treated right and at the Wok I have never been let down. So my favorite attribute of this restaurant is the multi-cultural staff. I always notice younger Fallon peeps working there which I think is great. The restaurant really seems to be playing a role in the community that way. If your getting tired of the norm like sweet and sour or lemon or generals I will recommend some other dishes to try at the restaurant in this list. Otherwise enjoy. I have eaten sushi a few times when I was there. Fish is almost putrid. Dish smells bad. Chefs don't know how to cook rice. And the price comes out just about the same as Reno. Lastly, chefs touch pen, papers, and your fish without changing gloves. So they deserve an excellent 1 star review. read more

a complete great let down. service was good, but food was not at all impressive, i am not even judging from an asian standard for americanized chinese food, just how the taste and texture of their food, even their fried rice was yucky, dry, and only taste of soy sauce and rice. now, judging from an asian standard, their sushi is over priced and worse then those sushi-go-around quality. i understand that fallon is small and it can be hard to get some ingredients. but, just not worthwhile for me to spend my money here. read more

My family and I use to the the wok. We went to the wok rt before the holidays and instead of letting us know that you have to make reservations to sit in the dinning room your wait is 30 minutes then we are told it will be 45 minutes. We decided to order our food to take out . Today my niece and I wanted to sit and eat in the dinning room and told us it will be a 10 minute wait we go use the restroom come out and she sat down a couple at the table. She then said to us we will have to wait 10 more minutes the couple was here before you they are not even in the restaurant when we first walked in. I have always been a loyal customer since I moved here going on 3 yrs now . When family comes to visit we take them to the wok. I have about had it. I am no longer going to eat here anymore. I will definitely make sure you have bad reviews all over social media. I don't appreciate the way you handle your business. The young girl who had blond hair shaved and tattoos behind her ears that girl don't know her name. She could have told us to make reservations. I called them when we left the restaurant heading pist off they said you will not be able to sit down in the dinning room you have to make reservations. Do to that young girl you should have told us instead of serving another couple and telling us we have 10 minutes then another 10 minutes. What is wrong with people today. Honest is the best policy. Best Chinese/sushi in town! Although, that isn't saying much. I only ever had the sushi, which, unless you're willing to drive 30 minutes, it's the only sushi you're going to get. The staff tends to be terrible, in my experience. They are the only place to get sushi and they are well aware of that fact, which in my opinion, is the reason for their less than stellar customer service and overall lack of effort. read more

Just moved to town and didn't think there was going to be a good sushi place in town...I was wrong! They have an all you can eat sushi at night for $20 a person, and its not one of the places that has mass amounts of pre made sushi either, you still get to order off the sushi menu! I'm just visiting and I was a little sceptical about getting sushi in the middle of the desert but it was surprisingly good. I ended up eating the all you can eat sushi and tried a number of rolls. I don't recommend the Cloud 9 roll because it was a little dry but everything else I had was good. read more

The sushi is decent but there aren't any options in town so it will do. The chinese food is the star at this place. Some dishes are better than others. We usually have it delivered so as to not deal with the dinner crowd. The few times we did dine in, the service was great as far as the chinese menu goes. When we did do sushi in restaurant, we weren't sat in the sushi specific area so there was some odd confusion with the wait staff and our service was slow. read more

I have to say for small town chinese food the wok does it right. I don't get the sushi, but my husband does and he loves it! Just make sure you go on a night when it's not too busy otherwise service can vary between good or bad. But other than that I love coming here. My favorites are the lemon chicken and chicken chow mein! read more

But half of our party had Chinese food and they had to wait so much longer than the ones who ordered sushi...I know it happens from time to time but there was almost a half hour wait for their food to come out after the sushi came out....our waitress was great and so was the food. read more

I'd really like to give more stars but the customer service at this place really just stinks! I don't think they seem to get it either. The first time we went we had never eaten the sushi there obviously and sat at the sushi bar, between my mom and I we ate maybe 10 rolls. That's a LOT. And we loved everything we tried except for this ONE ROLL. We did not like the taste of it at all, it wasn't that we weren't hungry anymore, it was just that the roll tasted disgusting and I did not want to finish it. My mom wasn't pleased with it either, so she told me to just leave it. It had maybe 4 pieces left in it. The waitress came by and asked if we were ready for our check and we nodded yes, she picked up the trays and said "I'm going to have to charge you a 5$ waste charge for this roll" My mom stopped her and said, we didn't like it. We shouldn't be forced to eat it nor charged for something like that. I grabbed the tray back from her immediately and said fine I'll just eat it, and my mom grabbed it right back from me and gave it to the waitress agreeing to pay the 5$ but honestly this ruined our experience. How can you not be considerate about this? I can understand if it was a whole roll or two but it was like 4 pieces left on the tray. That's not excessive waste nor worth 5$. Bogus! The Area 51 roll and Happy Roll are amazing. The whole reason you're getting 2 stars. Plus the lunch all you can eat is only 14.95$ that's a great price... Please work on the customer service because believe me, that goes a long way :) read more

Recently came here on a Friday night and made reservations for 4 adults and 4 toddlers. As soon as we got there the customer service was awful! The girls at the front looked at us like we had no idea what we were talking about. Next they take us to a table right smack in the middle of the restaurant so we are clearly center of attention! With four toddlers we were bound to make a huge mess and be loud. Usually restaurants will place tables with kids in the back and away from other people trying to enjoy their dinner. The waitress did not keep any of our drinks full and by the time we got our food most of our toddlers at the table were hungry and being loud. Our food was luke warm and being right smack middle in the restaurant we were being eye balled by everyone in the restaurant when we had two toddlers having complete melt downs. All the waiters walked passed us several times and never asked us if we need napkins or drink refills. Worst experience ever and we will never go back. read more

Everyone I talked to said this place was the place to eat in town. I must admit I had my doubts about a sushi place in north eastern Nevada but I was pleasantly surprised. I ate here twice. The sushi rolls were great. I went with five friends the first time and everyone ordered the all you can eat sushi. I just ate off of everyone's plate. The sashimi was most surprising. It was very fresh. The waitresses were professional. I came back the second time for the sashimi, the fifteen piece ala carte to be exact. The saki (hot and cold) was good too. A month spent in Fallon and this is the best place I ate at. It is a little pricey though. read more

It appears it depends on who the hostess is if a kid can sit at the sushi bar. Sometimes yes sometimes no. Very bad buisness practices, not very consistant. I really like the the Wok except for one thing... they don't serve brown rice! Hmph! First of all, most nicer Asian restaurants are serving brown rice now as science has shown how healthy it is and that white rice is BAD for human health! Secondly, I just like it better! I've asked several times now and it would be easy to keep on hand for customers who want it as it is packaged in several convenient ways these days. So, Wok people PLEASE add brown rice to the menu then you'll get your five stars!!! read more
