This place is really cute, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. I liked the atmosphere, and I know they sometimes have live bands, which would make it a really fun spot to visit. The food was fresh, and the pesto was really good. I do wish we could've tried more from the menu, since I was under the impression they had a fuller selection. Service was decent overall. The inside felt a little cramped, and the seating wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. I read Yelp reviews about this place during my stay in Fallon, NV. I drove here and saw many locals eating at this restaurant, so I decided to go in and eat. It appears to be family owned and operated and the food was delicious. I ordered the Barbecue Bison Burger and it was outstanding. The bun was home made, it was moist and tasty. The meat was cooked medium and I savored every bite. There was onion, which was fresh, lettuce, bacon, which was crispy, but not overdone. There were onion rings on the burger and I had a side of fries. The fries were crispy, and the meal was excellent. If you are in Fallon, Nevada, stop by, it was great. Cute little corner cafe. Small, very clean, lovely decor and atmosphere. Great offerings on their menu. I had a hot pressed sandwich called HWY 50. It was delicious, but it was "warm pressed" at best. It should be hotter. Also I regret not asking for light on the dressing on the side salad. The greens are fresh and good though. This review was a bit of a hard one as the place is really nice, outdoor seating was a really nice touch and the service was excellent. The problem was the Rigatoni Pomodoro Pasta. The elk sausage and the shrimp were cooked perfectly but the dish came with no basil (listed on the menu), there was no offer of parmesan or pecorino cheese, and there was no garlic bread as also listed on the menu. The overall dish was pretty bland. Also, there was a bunch of fettuccine noodles on the dish which wouldn't be a problem, but it showed a lack of care in preparing the dish. My wife loved her dish and I really, really liked the Brussel sprout appetizer with blue cheese and cranberries. read more

Delicious food. The cook is an amazing chef. The service sucks. Our waitress didn't even ask if we wanted drinks. She dropped water of and then asked for our food order. We had to ask another lady for the drinks and she took her sweet time and I feel like she was drunk. Worst device ever, best food I've had in a long time. I traveled from Cali for a family event catered with two main proteins, chicken with a capered sauce and tri-tip. The chicken was delicious in flavor and was cooked nicely. The tri-tip was was good for the area, nothing different that stuck out in flavor but cooked nicely. They provided enough food for a party of a 100 expected. We were seated outside which was very pleasing. The service was excellent. I would recommend this place if ever in town. read more

First time coming here for lunch. It was pretty quiet consider we were the only ones inside until one other couple came in. I ordered the Gourmet Harris burger it was pretty good had a nice crisp outside non pink inside which is what I like and the blue cheese topping was tasty. Too many onions on the burger it took away from the blue cheese flavor. My favorite part was the fries they reminded me of Red Robin or rally's fries. I got a cocktail can't remember the name but it had vodka and cranberry juice in it. Sad to say I didn't even take more then four sips it was way too strong and very dry for some reason. I wouldn't recommend unless you like a boozy drink at lunch time. Some people do. I believe so what makes you happy! We also forgot our to go boxes on the table so I didn't get to finish those tasty fries or my other half of the burger. May need to stop back in to grab some of their artisan crackers and a couple bottles of wine for home. read more

The food was very delicious. I got a side Caesar salad with mashed potatoes and steak frites. It usually comes with fries but I substituted fries for mashed potatoes. It was a good portion and well cooked. Good flavor on everything I order. The service was friendly and quiet. Small and cute indoors but later I realized there was another part of the restaurant. We sat on the outside patio which was super cute! The beautiful weather helped. Our server was friendly and we both enjoyed the steak and frites with the chimichurri sauce. Both steaks were cooked perfectly (rare and medium) and our fries were hot and crisp, just the way we like them! The chimichurri sauce was just ok but I make one at home that everyone says is hard to beat. We ordered a bottle of the Klinker Brick. The wine glasses weren't dirty but had water stains on them. I know there is hard water in the area but there are still ways to prevent that so I didn't particularly care that those wine glasses were brought out to us. But I also know I'm someone with high standards. They have some great wines on the menu and I just want them to get the appreciation they deserve! My last visit to this restaurant was a lunch take out order and the sandwiches we ordered were delicious. Overall we thought all of the prices were reasonable. Oh and our salads were delicious! A great Brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The menu was simple, and has all the areas (from pancakes to an all American) accounted for. The Huevos Rancheros was delicious and cooked well. Had a overnight trip to Fallon, Nevada and it happened to be National Hamburger Day. Due to the Covid closures it was limited to where we could order a decent burger and not from a fast food joint. After calling a few places, Main Street Cafe had Burgers for dinner. Located in "downtown" Fallon, Main Street has a great menu for breakfast/brunch. We ordered one Cheddar cheese/bacon burger and one Bleu cheeseburger. Both were ample in size with a generous serving of french fries. I thought the burger was a bit on the drier side but it hit the spot after a 6 hour drive. Next time I will try one of their breakfast items. read more

We stopped here on our way home nearly at the end of our road trip. Fallon seems to be a civilized place in NV only a few hours from where I live (near Sacramento) and a reasonable drive to Tahoe. The draw at Maine Street Cafe is the unique menu (at least for dinner). Beats trying to find the best chain, or the one with the traditional menu (burgers, steak, etc) and have a special experience. We had the Elk sausage with rigatoni & shrimp, and a Thai wrap. Good flavors, well-prepared, excellent service. A couple of odd service problems: we wanted to bump up the plain salad to the vegan Waldorf. They sent a full salad over, in addition to the side salad; and, though it was good, we had ordered a different meat in the Thai wrap. Most amusing was the offer to eat on the patio (it was 103F), and we watched as a few people took that option. We're weenies from the Sac Valley and like our air conditioning at those temps. If you lived here, this could become your standard out-to-dinner place. Passing through, you have nothing to lose and will wind up with a nice dinner. read more

I think the food is pretty good overall. The menu is a little bit all over the place which can distract you from the great items. I love good food and my opinion is that it they try too hard to be a higher level culinary experience. They are very accommodating with making changes to their items which I often find necessary. Yeah I'll go again and again, just as I have gone again and again. It's one of the nicer experiences in town and if you're inclined toward enjoying good food, good service and a lovely outdoor dining experience you'll enjoy it too. How have I not reviewed this spot yet!!?! Favorite cafe in Fallon, we come here alllll the time- in PJs from a long drive in before running errands in town. This spot has a lot of regulars, and the owner of the shop (Susan) makes an effort to remember everyone and say hello. The patio in the spring and summer is wonderful. Nobody minds if you hang out for a couple hours. They also make my favorite latte in town, the pancakes are delicious, the bacon is always perfectly crispy, and they're easy about subs or alterations to the menu. I LOVE Maine Street cafe. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because sometimes you can order the same thing and it's cooked differently. I'm imagining that for part of the week they have a different cook than another. They have THE best breakfast burritos in town as far as I'm concerned, but there has been a couple of times that when I order one, it's not prepared the same way. I'm assuming this is a difference in cooks, and one of them is definitely better skilled than the other. Overall though, they rarely let me down. Driving from Reno to St. George, UT on highway 50 & looking for a place for breakfast. Thanks to Yelp, we found Maine Street Cafe. We got there at 7:30 on a Tuesday, and this was the perfect time. There is a high school & middle school next to the cafe & from 7:45 to 8:10 there is a seemingly endless stream of young people com7ing in for their morning sugar & caffeine fix. The only person to help them was our waitress, Larissa. She was wonderful with these young people & they were very well behaved. So we were able to order our breakfast just before the rush. Larissa apologized for the wait for our food, but I didn't consider the wait to be that long. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast & my wife ordered the bacon breakfast burrito. Both were delicious. Without question, I will eat here anytime I'm in Fallon. Larissa, thank you for making the start of the 1st leg of our road trip so memorable.
