What a great addition to Fallon! Finally something unique, out of the ordinary and different. I've had their Poboys, Baskets, sides and desserts and everything is fantastic! Do wish they had a different French fry but I can look past that to the flavor. Great service and friendly. Plus they have a monthly special that adds to the mix of offerings.

Bayou Bites' Shrimp Po-Boy. Nicely prepared. Not too much lettuce.

As a native of Acadiana and resident of Storey. County, I had a few hours to kill today and drove to Fallon to try out Bayou Bites. The service was quick, and the shrimp po-boy was really delicious. The remoulade sauce was pretty good, and the shrimp themselves were good sized, fresh, and breaded/fried up just right. Kudos to the young woman who took my order! Bayou Bites is located in the Grid building, with ample seating shared among other food stalls. If you want a fountain drink, a separate purchase from another merchant in the shared space is necessary.

Poutine

WOW ... came out from Carson City NV to eat at Bayou Bites, which is located INSIDE THE GRID MARKET ... Was well worth the drive ... I had the Poutine, (which is fries, cheese curds, andoull sausage gravy), also had side of fried green tomatoes AND last but not least, lemon beignets!!! Totally delicious .. I highly recommend trying them out ... I will be back

Fried green tomato basket

The fried green tomato basket was delicious. Fries were perfect. I was ready before I could finish a few games of pinball. I love quick service.

Poutine!

Krab Kingz - Fried fish. Fries. Hush puppies. So good! Everyone enjoyed this one. (Tasted good as a leftover two days later, too)

First off I want to say this was such a good spot to eat seafood at. It's exactly what I had been…read morecraving especially with the Cajun seasoning and all the extras. It's hard to find a place like this especially in a small town. But it was so good and really fresh. The server was also such a sweetheart. She was kind attentive and made sure to get me everything that I had asked for. I had such a great service experience and she definitely earned an amazing tip. Please try this place out. I promise you won't be disappointed.

New fave. I'm…read moretempted to give a 5, but leaving a 4 for people who are particular with what 5 is. The place isn't perfect with regard to ambiance. I think their cleaning agent is probably the culprit. The dishes looked stained, the floors were clean but sticky, the tables were clean but sticky. And the doors and windows are covered with a really cool logo tint that makes it confusing to find where the door is and can't see in. That being said, that is the only issue. The food is great! The service was great! The prices were very fair! We ordered a cocktail, two types of wings, a platter, and fried fish. All very tasty. The platter and butter wasnt warm. Corn was mushy as with most similar places. Fried fish was amazing. Hush puppies so cute and so yummy. Wings were a hit and miss depending on who you ask. I love wings from all over and these are some of the top rated for me. Cocktail was great. Service was friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go back and try some other things.

Tonight we came out to Js for my husband's birthday…read more The restaurant was clean, dimly lit, and fairly loud. Our waitress was good but not one of our favorites. Our waters were never filled and our non-alcoholic beverage drinkers were never checked on to see if their drinks were ok/wanted something else/need anything. She also only checked on us 1x right after the food was dropped off to see if we needed freshly ground pepper and not again until it was time for desert and the check. For appetizers we had the Thai Scallops and the special Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus. The Thai Scallops are one of our go-tos and they were good; however, they were pretty heavily breaded tonight. The Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus was good but was hard to eat and could have used a bit more cooking. For my main I had the linguine and clams. I was HIGHLY disappointed in this tonight. The noodles were delicious and beautifully done but the "sauce" was nothing but pasta water. There was flavor: no garlic, no butter, no clams-no flavor whatsoever. The clams were also macerated as if someone chewed them up and spit them in the dish for me. My husband had the ribeye with gorgonzola butter and polenta. Everything was cooked beautifully and seasoned perfectly but his chunk of butter (his favorite) was so frozen it never melted-even by the end of the meal. For desert, my husband had the bread pudding and we had the crème brûlée. My husband said the bread pudding was good but slightly dry and cold. The crème brûlée was horrible. We sent it back and got "oh sorry someone new made them-big fail" and laughing. The brûlée was not even close to being set so it was pure liquid. It wasn't even a consistent temperature. After years of loving eating at Js and celebrating milestones here it makes me sad to see how quality is slipping.
