First of all, I had the best time in all of 15 minutes that I spent here! What a wonderful energy flowing. All I did was walk in and feel the cocoa- local wine loving, people sharing vibe. LOVED IT! Kim came up to me right away with her smile - oh she is The Wine Lady. What a total doll, she spent time in CA and knows her stuff. Just ask, you will be provided with Fine Pinot Noir, Delicate Sauvignon Blanc, Gorgeous Rose - whatever you desire. I met some charming people, great smart and fun just hanging around inside. Do not pass by without stopping in! I don't give 5 stars easily, this place is truly special whether you enjoy wine or not. Plug also to Cocoa Village, what a great spot on the water!

They have a wonderful wine selection and you can get a glass of wine to try!

I have never given a Yelp review before but I have found the nicest wine shop and wine bar in Cocoa Village, I felt I should share.

You can tell the owners put love into every detail including picking their wines locally and internationally. You can stop by any day of the week, load money on a card and taste 16 different wines from a self serving tap. My personal favorites were Rioja, Sangue Di Giuda and the Chardonnay. The Rioja is similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, but it also has a fruity character. If you love Cabernet but are also looking for the dominant cherry flavor, this is the perfect wine for you. The Sangue Di Giuda, which means "Blood of Judas", is more of a deep, slightly sparkling and delectably sweet red wine. Chardonnay is my go to when I want a nice glass of wine after work. Although it typically has fruit flavors, it's a dry white wine. It pairs perfectly with seafood or baked chicken. We purchased a bottle of Lumbrusco and we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere and great conversation with the owner. They were right, they made us feel at home. Phillip is a wealth of knowledge and I've learned so much more about wine when I leave the store each time. A lot of great selections, majority from Italy at great prices. The ability to taste the wine on a guided tour of the notes makes the experience even more enjoyable. Worth a stop by to check out, great spot close to lake eola.

We brought our wine glasses out back, sat on Adirondack chairs, & watched the sunset. It could either be romantic or a great party spot. The site also had multiple event spaces, including a speakeasy! You open a mirror & a beautifully decorated large room with sunlight pouring in was there. They had events such a karaoke there regularly. The main wine bar is eco conscious. Many wines were on tap to save on glass bottles. Their bottled wine also consciously use less glass, but still have enough to preserve the flavors of the wines. I personally loved the violet delight red blend. It has a grape in it that was previously thought to be extinct! The winery is picky about how their grapes are sourced as well to fit into their eco views. They had another red based off a doggo, but I forgot the name. It was my second favorite. I highly recommend starting with a flight. The staff is very confidently knowledgeable & an overall blast to be around. They also have charcuterie boards & PeterBrooke chocolates available for purchase. The owner stopped by to say a friendly hi. It felt like anyone who entered instantly became a friend. Their wines will still be sold in other locations, & the processing location is still there.

The bar manager was so bubbly and fun. She gave us our wine and kicked us out saying we had to go to the back yard before the sun set, so we ran around to the back. The back is a big space with market lighting overlooking the lake. There are wine barrels and chairs around where you can sit and watch the sunset and listen to music. We had a great time watching the sunset and sipping a good Pinot. I honestly wish I would have found Quantum Leap sooner. I'm very sad it's going away. God speed, QL!

The starters we chose were delicious! Shared Mexican Street Corn Deviled Egg, Cornbread was amazing along with the the Crab appetizer which was delicious!! For dinner my husband had the Duck. He LOVED it! Had fresh blackberries with a Pomegranate glaze and duck confit hash. I had the Corvina fish. It featured a pineapple salsa along with Mofongo. Amazing. Such a delicious dish. My grandson got the Dirty rice with shrimp and scallops. So good! Absolutely delicious! We finished with delectable desserts which we shared - Key lime pie, Chocolate Pave - so luxurious, and Lemon Blueberry Crumb Cake. What a special night we had. Big Thank you to everyone at THE FAT SNOOK.

Unfortunately a lot of the execution fell a bit flat, especially after both the menu and it's prices had set our expectations otherwise. The amuse bouche was definitely a palate awakener.. a mix of olive tapenade and vinegary mustard. It wasn't for us, but if the goal was to wake up our mouths, it worked. Then hubs had the scallop appetizer with bacon maple marmalade. He thought it was too sweet, I didn't mind it. Scallops were cooked well. I had the mussels from Brussels, a bit clumsy to eat as the mussels were in their shells and the thin Brussel leaves were scattered within/around, all on a bed of pureed potatoes. But a nice flavor and a good portion size. Then i moved on to the beet salad, which was my least favorite. A dish I enjoy at a lot of restaurants, all with different plating/approaches, this one was clunky, the beets were cut thicker than usual, plated with large proportion dwarfing the citrus and the cheese was presented in medium size encrusted balls. It lacked elegance or delicateness, the flavors didn't really meld as they should. Hubs and I then moved to the main course. I had the crispy gnocci app as my main, which was fine, nothing special and hubs had the catch #2 a tile fish that was just ok. We finished our drinks, opted for dessert elsewhere. They've been around a long time, so I'm sure we will try again in another couple years.
