Recently discovered this stunning winery, & sad to hear it's leaving the location. It was seated on a lake with a large lawn. We brought our wine glasses out back, sat on Adirondack chairs, & watched the sunset. It could either be romantic or a great party spot. The site also had multiple event spaces, including a speakeasy! You open a mirror & a beautifully decorated large room with sunlight pouring in was there. They had events such a karaoke there regularly. The main wine bar is eco conscious. Many wines were on tap to save on glass bottles. Their bottled wine also consciously use less glass, but still have enough to preserve the flavors of the wines. I personally loved the violet delight red blend. It has a grape in it that was previously thought to be extinct! The winery is picky about how their grapes are sourced as well to fit into their eco views. They had another red based off a doggo, but I forgot the name. It was my second favorite. I highly recommend starting with a flight. The staff is very confidently knowledgeable & an overall blast to be around. They also have charcuterie boards & PeterBrooke chocolates available for purchase. The owner stopped by to say a friendly hi. It felt like anyone who entered instantly became a friend. I came here for the first time today, and I was devastated to find that today is their closing day! This spot is so fun! I'm bummed I can't come back! We came in for a glass of wine. The bar manager was so bubbly and fun. She gave us our wine and kicked us out saying we had to go to the back yard before the sun set, so we ran around to the back. The back is a big space with market lighting overlooking the lake. There are wine barrels and chairs around where you can sit and watch the sunset and listen to music. We had a great time watching the sunset and sipping a good Pinot. I honestly wish I would have found Quantum Leap sooner. I'm very sad it's going away. God speed, QL! read more

A few of us Yelp Elites met at this winery to celebrate our Aries birthdays. We came across this winery while attending Yelp's Celestial Ball earlier this month. We were greeted by Amy (who was one of the representatives at the Ball) and her co-worker, Jasmin. These two were so much fun and made our visit much more engaging and entertaining. Both are very knowledgeable about the Quantum Leap collection. More on this to follow. First off, parking is limited in front of the building, but there is a sign directing you to additional parking at an open lot further down the street (coming from Fairbanks, it's past the winery--4424 Edgewater Drive). After a short walk, you arrive at the winery building. The tasting room is off to the left as the right side of the building is for private parties, entitled "The Cottage on Lake Fairview". The back of the building is a great place to relax by the lake. White Adirondack chairs are available for sitting outside. We spent some time out there on a beautiful afternoon! Now, onto the wines. We order flights to get acquainted with the wines. Jasmin then recommended the "Violets Delight Red Blend" based on our wine preferences and two of us fell in love with this beautifully blended and full-bodied wine (tasted like a nice Pinot Noir). Be sure to ask about the origination of this wine; the story is quite fascinating as to the resurgence of a grape variety believed to have been extinct. The three of us enjoyed a number of nice wines here. Amy then gave us a tour of the private party area as well as the Speakeasy. The private party area held a tasting that day and it is quite roomy and open. The Speakeasy is beautifully decorated, and it held a karaoke event later that evening. Both areas are available for a fee. We also met the owner - David. We discovered that Quantum Leap Winery is very eco-conscious, both in the selection and cultivation of its wines and the bottles the wines are sold in. They want to leave a much smaller carbon footprint than other wineries and that is another story you need to hear. I had such a great time at this cute winery. The staff was amazing!! We were helped by Jasmine! She took care of us all night! She took her time with me explaining the wines and the flavors. First time at the new location. I attended a speakeasy event here with some friends. It was $30 a ticket. Parking is small but they have a grass lot next door. There is a room in the back of the winery. With our tickets we got 2 drink tickets and a charcuterie board. There is seating in the speakeasy area. I think there were more people than there were seats though. The drinks were good. They had some wine cocktails. The only thing I did not like was the charcuterie set up. It was from La femme du fromage. The boards were delicious. They were made to order though. There was only 1 person making them and maybe like 50+ people. The setup was that you would walk up to her and tell her if you had any allergies and place your order. No system to keep track of who has put their order in. And you just come back and pick it up. So we went up there a few times and our boards weren't ready. Then a little bit later went back and she had 2 ready so my friends took them. I ended up waiting another hour for my board. I was hungry. I think if you are working an event like this, a 2nd person is needed or do not make them to order. Other than this event I would come back again. I visited during an event and I was impressed by the friendless and attentiveness of the staff serving drinks. There were a lot of people to serve and they were the real hero's of the night. Personally, I thought their wine was good, but didn't knock my socks off and I stuck with the beer options they had after my first glass. I am by no means a wine enthusiast or someone who really knows wine, so take my wine critique with a grain of salt. What I did not get to see is if they had any small bite food options as the event had a catering service brought in. This winery has been here for I'm not sure how long but it is so wonderful! I love the warehouse a vibe and everyone that works there is so chill. There was a very sweet girl who got me a couple of cups of ice so I could have my own beverage since I was pregnant. It's a great ambience, even kids are welcomed. There was another little baby in there along with my daughter and they were just enjoying themselves. The staff doesn't bother you out and if you need anything, they are there. I heard that the wine was delicious and they have wonderful paintings in there that you can purchase. I had seen this winery when we went to eat at Pig Floyd's and I had totally forgot about it. We had family in from out of town and decided to take them there, they thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be back again. read more

Quantum Leap Winery is a fantastic winery and one of the Little Gems that truly makes Orlando the city Beautiful. Their wines are for the most part exceptional. The staff is friendly and it is an overall cool vibe. There has been a trends to buy local in the last generation or so. This is definitely a positive thing. This is like a little hidden gem! They have wine flights ranging from $7 to $12 dollars and their bottles are super affordable. They also have two different charcuterie boards that you can purchase one for $15 and the other for $25 which just makes us the perfect little girls date night area or a regular date night or with a group of friends. What a fantastic place! Who would have thought grapes and Florida mixed, but somehow this place has found the right formula. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Sarah, I think her name was, told us a lot about their wine and their mission. We got a little tour which was very unofficial, but cool to see their production facility while the event was going on. The patio was very quaint and perfect for sipping a glass of wine on a warm night. The ambiance of the place is very nice. I'd say it's a perfect spot for dates and couples night out. Good pricing on tasting and by the glass. Their tasting menu had a few that wowed us. Their Sauvignon Blanc on the white tasting menu was very refreshing with a lot of citrus notes and the Chardonnay was one of my favorites, almost coconutty! read more

Very nice quiet place to enjoy some wine or beers. Large place that is clean and well decorated. As you would expect the best value seems to be the flights that are offered. This gives you an opportunity to try different kinds of wine that you might not "normally" order. The plus side is that if you find something you really like, you can purchase by the bottle and take it home with you. There were two staff members working when we visited. One was great. So pleasant and engaging. The other unfortunately seemed to busy sitting down at a table talking to other people. He seemed annoyed that he had to get up and go behind the bar for us to order. I was jumping from shop to shop and had just left a store when I saw the SIGN! Winery -- screech, right turn and 30 seconds later I saw the winery! I entered and no one was there! For 30 seconds, and a couple of ladies came through behind me and a minute later another couple. I opted for a cider flight instead of wine and it was delicious. Three healthy pours of traditional apple cider, strawberry cider and pineapple cider. I started with apple- I would say it's mid sweet, a bit dry- but you can enjoy the apples. Strawberry was delightful- refreshing, still on the dry side and not too tart. The pineapple was sweeter than the other two, but not overly sweet. Light and refreshing. The tasting room is filled with art and wine, plenty of tables and a huge bar. They offer charcuterie too- which IF I wasn't going to an event, and if I had a friend to help me snack.... the couple of ladies ordered it and I was envious! It looked scrumptious. Went here with a friend for the Cabernet and namaste Yoga event they had recently. This was the first time I've been able to go despite this location being on my bookmarks for some time now. The yoga event was held in the back where it looks like they do the bottling for their wines. It was a little on the warm side, but it was a great workout and it was a charity event for a great cause. Once the event was over we headed back towards the front where the wine bar is. It came with two tickets for two glasses of wine. I opted for the Pinot Grigio both times, it was awesome. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and very helpful on picking out wines that we would like. It was very busy since there were a lot of people in the yoga class. It is very limited on the amount of seating available. Most people were standing around the bar. I opted to buy one of their cider bottles for my husband so he can have something when I came home. It was made from McIntosh apples from Michigan and it was really good, he enjoyed it a lot. One of the only downsides here is definitely the parking. If there's a busy event like the yoga,y can be difficult to find parking and you'll probably have to go a block or two away and walk to this location. Overall: A Great wine bar with fun events. This winery was a nice surprise. I was searching for things to do and had no idea this winery was so close. They strive to offer quality environmentally wines. The staff was friendly, courteous and knowledgable. They had a set of four wines...red and white for their Thanksgiving offerings. We tried both and enjoyed the whites more. The reds were dry wines which I like but these offerings were a little dry for me but my favorite was a Rose from Columbia Valley in WA. For the whites, our favorite is a little difficult to pronounce. The Gewurztraminer also from the Columbia Valley. The tastings were $5 each. We bought a bottle of the white wine and bottle of a mango cider which will be great for brunch. We hope to come back for one of their events. They also sell some select wines at WholeFoods. Every time I come to Florida, I scope out wineries. This would looked to be unique and it was. What was unique that it was located in Florida, and all of their wine was made by grapes from outside of Florida (CA and Italy). Getting to the winery was a little interesting and the location personally isn't the best spot. But we all have to start off somewhere. You pick out what flight you want to taste. I went with the red flight, wife had the white/red flight. All of the wines that I had tasted were very good. The labels were very awesome. The Panther wine was my favorite. However they were all very good. I would order from here again. That's how good the wine was. I believe we purchased 3 bottles of wine to go. I stopped in with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. They were closing early for a private event, so make sure you check the calendar before you make the trip. We had just finished at the farmers market where I purchased a caterpillar for my goddaughter. The instructions said to not leave the caterpillar in the car... so into the winery it came! No one seemed to mind, thankfully! They offered several different wine flights for $6. The staff was very knowledgeable and the wines weren't too bad either. I like this winery. I've been to several events here and they are always cute and intimate. I have family in town for a couple weeks an they were so excited to see the market. We stopped at the bar before we entered the larger room with all the vendors. I stood behind a couple that was ordering- waiting for my turn in line. There was a pregnant bartender that saw me waiting but proceeded to take the order of someone who just walked up to the bar. "Umm, excuse me, I think I was next". She hesitantly walked over to me to take my order. My grandmother likes sweet wines so I asked which wine was the sweetest. She said, "the sweet rosé". They offered 2 different kinds but I ordered the sweet one (it says "sweet" on the menu). I also asked about the 3 different kinds of ciders that were being offered: "which is better?". "It's a personal preference". Still, she never smiled. The wine was $9/glass and when she handed me the cups of wine- they were less than half full. Literally 3 sips of wine. After my grandmother sipped her wine (the sweet rosé) she didn't like it. I tasted it and it was the most DRY rosé I've ever tasted. I went back up to the bar to try and ask if she had poured the right one and she ignored me.....again. "Excuse me! I think this is the dry rosé". "No it's not". "We'll.....it's not sweet". She proceeded to say that that was the sweetest white they have and never even offered something in its place. She was awful to me and miserable- and she literally never smiled at me once. Not sure who made her mad but that kind of treatment by anyone is offensive and disrespectful. read more

The tasting consisted of 3 samples and was $6. They also have beer and ciders. The staff explained what we were drinking, as well as their wine club. They also partner with the Pet Alliance to help raise money for animals. We went early on a Saturday, so it was quiet. I love that you can either stand at the bar or sit down and enjoy a glass. They do have a few snacks, such as chocolate from Peterbrooke and a few refrigerated snacks. Their venue is beautiful. There is definitely a lot of charm. Their wine selection is nice, not huge - sweets, whites, and reds. It seemed the average price was $18-$25. The staff was friendly. Restrooms are clean. Plenty of parking. read more

Stopped into Quantum Leap Winery on Friday afternoon. I liked the concept more than the execution, with too many misses on the wines I tried. However, do not sleep on the delicious ciders they also make. Quality: Quantum Leap Winery is an urban winery that brings grapes in from across the world where they then age, finish, and blend them into the end product. So, despite being located in Florida, this is wine made from grapes and not tropical fruits. During our visit we tried the White Wine Flight with Pinot Grigio, Cave Block Chardonnay, and Rose, the Red Wine Flight with Merlot, Panther's Tale, and Kaley's Rescue Red, and the Reserve Flight with Lot 43 Pinot Noir, La Laurelia Red Wine, and Cabernet Sauvignon. We also tried both the Pedaler's Hard Cider and the seasonal version with strawberry. My impression was fairly average wines, but very solid cider. Of the wines the only standout was the Pinot Grigio, with the Merlot, typically one of my favorites, as the big disappointment. And as fun as a tasting is, I could not see myself ordering a bottle of any. The cider however was excellent, and it was not surprising to see it pop up at other restaurants and breweries during our Orlando trip. Quantity: Flights came with three 3oz pours, which were a good way to try out the wine. Value: $7 for the Standard Wine Flights. $12 for the Reserve Flight. $5 for a Cider Draft. Ambiance: Quantum Leap Winery is located in Orlando, a little north of the Downtown area. It inhabits a large warehouse space, with the processing area in the back. When you pull up, you see a nice outdoor patio area, where many folks were posted up with glasses of wine. Inside is a very large tasting room, which also showcases a ton of art. The bar is at the center, providing multiple zones for tastings during typical times. Surrounding the bar are different sections with high-tops and tables. I also appreciated that they had a television in the back corner, for any groups with folks less interested in wine. Crowd: The outdoor patio was surprisingly busy on a Friday afternoon. However, plenty of tables were open in the spacious indoor area. Service: Not sure if it was because of COVID, but I was surprised to not get more information on the wines from the staff. Most wine tastings involve vivid descriptions and passion about the product, here they handed off a preprinted sheet and left you on your own. It may also have to do with the product distance created in the urban winery methodology. Parking: The location is a little hidden, but they have a fair amount of spots right out front. read more
