Favorite brewery I have been to. Always rotating beers and have yet to try something I don't like

Of all the many times I have been here, so surprised I have never reviewed Tactical Brewing. What is more funny is that I really thought I had already reviewed it, but in my defense I have a history of writing reviews and forgetting to post them. So buckle in, here it goes! Tactical is a high end brewery with home brew vibes. The beers here have their own unique character and if you are not a casual beer drinker you will really appreciate it. It is located in the ritzy area of Orlando where parking is challenging and rides have is encouraged. Tactical is armed forces and first responders friendly. Tactical has cratf beer, wine and craft cocktails as a rotating food schedule. On thus Sunday just they had a Latin inspired menu. Tactical has both inside and outside seating, a wrap around bar, high seats and tables. I remember it being a little darker. Lighting is always dims and sets the tone for a great drinking experience. Also on my visit was a live guitarist Mike Lynch and he was very talented. Just love the vibe here at Tactical Brewing. The BEER: Noise in the Forest Maibock 6% ABV... really liked this one, easy drinking with a fermented finish Florida Slay Ride Golden Ale 7% ABV... slightly sweet, if you know Golden Monkey, this is a smoother version with a lot more complexity There are some cool sours including imperial, and a pretty diverse selection about 20 taps. I absolutely love supporting veteran-owned businesses, so I'm really glad we found this place while visiting Florida. From the moment we arrived, we really enjoyed the location and the overall environment. It was a great place to relax, have some good beer, and enjoy ourselves. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and genuinely seemed to want everyone to have a great time while they were there. They had a great variety of beers, with plenty of different styles to choose from, especially sours. Now, I will say that their sours were definitely on the sweeter side. I really enjoyed them, but if you're expecting a traditional, tart sour, these probably aren't quite that. That being said, the flavors were absolutely out of this world! They were unique, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. One of my favorite things about the venue was seeing all of the patches from military service members, along with patches representing law enforcement. I thought that was such a cool and meaningful touch and really added to the character of the place. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. Great atmosphere, welcoming staff, and some really good beer. We actually ended up taking some beer home with us--and honestly, that says a lot! I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area, especially if you enjoy supporting veteran-owned businesses and trying something a little different. read more

Tactical is my favorite brewery in Orlando! It helps that it is walking distance for me. Its always very casual and laid back. The drinks are always changing and offer something for everyone! They dont serve food but they do have some snacks available for purchase. They often have a food truck as well. If youre wanting a meal, Id recommend having it delivered there or bring it with you when you go! PS If you need something to do for Sunday Funday, go get a frozen Melancholy (only available on Sunday). read more

Very friendly environment. The local run club seems to be ever present here. Went for trivia on a Wednesday night. They have rotating themes so check on their website before you go. Great beer. Cory and Nick were fantastic bartenders. Speakeasy Burger food truck was there who made great smashburgers. Will definitely go back. read more

Tactical is such a cute little place, everyone was so friendly and our group was able to come in and just sit and talk for as long as we wanted with no pressure. Now I'm not really a beer drinker, so when I went up to order, I asked what kind of seltzer they had and if there's any berry flavored options, the guy helping me came up with a really good suggestion, to at least try. I told him what I didn't like about beer and all of that, and he said alright I got the one for you. So I tried the melon sour and boy was it good! Didn't bring the dog this time, but I have in the past and the patio is a great place for him! Tactical has a great location in Baldwin and everything is so dog friendly! read more

This is a semi regular stop for me, easily my tempting l favorite brewery in Orlando. As a stout/porter and generally flavored beer fan I find this to be the only brewery with options for myself. Many of the brews are listed as sours but don't let that stop you! The flavor always comes through well and you will often be (pleasantly) surprised by the pairings. They also offer some old school video games, run club on Thursdays, food trucks and local charity nights. Easy to spend a whole evening here. read more

This was my first time coming to Tactical Brewing and it turns out they throw events here! One of my husbands coworkers booked the place for a birthday party and it ended up being a lot of fun! Tactical has a rotating list of food vendors throughout the week, and this visit happened to have food from Carlito's Way food truck along with some other small bites that were brought in by other guest. The drinks of course are the stars of this show with them having their own local options along with other familiar names. My go to was a recommendation from one of the bartenders called the Guavango Montoya which has a sweet taste to it even though it's listed as a sour. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone stopping by there! I'd love to be one back and try this place outside of an event to have more of a true experience of this place, but it's definitely a great spot to host a big group if you're looking for a chill local bar! read more

I came to Tactical with a friend a few months ago. We met for a beer as he moved from Orlando to Tampa and had a craving for a specific beer here. I'm not a huge drinker, but decided to give the beer he was craving a try. We walked into the establishment and it was dimly lit, but had huge windows for natural lighting. It had a hipster vibe to it, which I liked. They had televisions, games, and seating both at the bar and tables, too. We went up to the bar and ordered the meloncholy. Seemingly, it was a popular choice, because the bartender smirked. When I tell you that I have thought about that beer ever since and have returned multiple times for more, I'm not kidding. This made a "non-drinker" crave alcohol. Highly recommend the meloncholy. Don't be turned away by the color because yes, it is light pink. read more

Came to this brewery for the first time because a friend was doing a BBQ pop up in the back. The bar is in the middle of the room with lots of seating around it and around the room. There was a long list of beers available as well as some wines and ciders from other businesses. I tried the This is Blue which is a sweeter sour beer that reminded me of the light blue Gatorade which I love. I sampled the Base Lager and that is a good simple lager. Parking in Baldwin is always a toss up for me and had to circle the Publix lot near by for parking. read more

If i could give them six or seven stars I would. After reading some reviews, their tribute wall of service people and first responders inspired me to visit. Many of the beers were not in my wheelhouse (sours) but I enjoyed quite a few including one (nelson hopped pale) that ran out. Sorry no names, but Im an IPA guy and this is a wide open menu. Blond stout was good. Nelson DH pale was great. There were three tenders making the night Excellent. Gabby & Corey were excellent. C man made my night. Funny and hospitable. Garrett on the other hand was a drip. (inside joke but so true JK) It was trivia night and the guy running it, another high top performance. I'm a little "above " trivia (cus i suck st it) but had sooo much fun playing. Im sure you can come to a place and have a great or ok experience, but I feel really blessed that I took a chance & $25 ride to Tactical. Not to mention honoring their honor wall and veteran owned. Love this spot in Baldwin park! Will officially be my new go to brewery when in the area. They have a huge assortment of great ipas and sours. They also have food on rotation. I love that it is dog friendly as the dogs were beyond well trained here. Service is fantastic. You cannot go wrong. Slowly working my way thru their beer menu! I'd love to try this place again because it would have been great had our personal space not been taken over by unattended young children. An old friend of mine came to visit me this weekend to catch up. We came here on a Saturday afternoon. We got some drinks and sat down at the couch area. The staff were super friendly. We were there enjoying our time for about an hour. Then at least 7 children and babies showed up. One of the men came up and said to the other parents, "I'm going to make a diaper station right here." And put a pile of diapers and wipes on the ottoman where our drinks were. The parents dropped the kids off on the remaining couch seats next to us, and formed a circle in by the bar with nobody even watching the kids. How do I know nobody was watching the kids? Because multiple kids sat literally on our feet and on our laps. A child even tried to reach into our pretzel bag for pretzels. This went on for an hour. We tried moving to a corner spot on the couch to give the kids room so they wouldn't sit on us and could play together, and we still were being pestered by them. The parents didn't even bat an eye until a toddler small enough to be in diapers started pushing on my lap to get off the couch. We never got an apology. Did I mention all do these small children were in a bar, sat next to (and on) two complete strangers, with very little supervision? I don't understand how a nice afternoon spent catching up with a friend over beers turned into us trying to keep children away from our beer and pretzels and off of our laps. I am very let down by this and appalled at these parents. read more

We had an absolutely amazing time at tactical brewing on Saturday. This location definitely gets busy and has a lot of foot traffic. They do have events most nights. They have pop up food experiences as well. It just so happened while we were there on Saturday that they had a pop-up food experience and it definitely stayed pretty busy. They have a good selection of beers to choose from several that are collaborations, but overall really enjoyed all of their sours. If you're like me, you may not be a sour beer drinker, but I love that tactical beers do not have that sour finish that most sours have. it almost feels like drinking an adult Capri or an adult version of Hawaiian punch. Really enjoy their beers and definitely will be back.! One of my favorites was melancholy, which is a watermelon sour. It really is delicious and while I get the watermelon, it honestly tasted more like a pink starburst to me. I also enjoyed it's Untappd, which was the apple pie crumble and ice cream sour. Really delicious and for somebody who loves fall flavors, It really started to put the fall spirit in me. read more

Great spot to check out when you're in the Baldwin Park area. They have their own offerings as well as offerings from nearby breweries. We've been here a few times and as always felt like a neighborhood hot spot. You can find parking and immediate area without much trouble. They do have some tables and bar seating as well as a fun little couch area where you can play some video games. They are family and pet friendly. Bartenders are quick to handle all of the crowds and very friendly. They don't serve any food on site, however they are usually hosting a food truck or you can bring in outside food if desired. Overall: A A solid local brewery that you should definitely try out! read more

We've stopped into Tactical Brewing a couple of times. They have a good amount of seating inside as well as outdoor seating available. It's a fun, casual vibe with friendly bartenders. They do not serve food here, but seem to often have food trucks out back or you can bring in outside food. I love the wide variety of beers here and all that I have tasted are really yummy with nice depth of flavor. We tend to go for sours and stouts and usually can find a few options for each. They also have several other varieties and you can purchase beer to take home as well. On our recent visit, we took home a four pack of their Keanu Tumblereeves, a PB&J style beer that was soooo delicious! We also enjoyed live music while having some beers there. It's friendly for doggies and little ones; we saw several of each having a good time. This is definitely one of my favorite breweries in town! read more

Tactical will forever be my favorite brewery. I was able to try their Bumble Z draft beer which is a sour with blackberry honey, blackberries, cinnamon, and vanilla. This was one of the best sours I've ever had! It is very similar to their "Melancholy" (my personal favorite) but the cinnamon gives it an extra twist! read more

Found this spot while on vacation. Hands down the possum rage (rice ipa) was amazing. I brought 8 back to WA with me I liked them so much. I tried a lot of the tap beer they had. I am a PNW beer drinker and the Sours they have on tap I would never call a sour. I tried them all and every single one of them was the opposite of sour and were so sweet, not even tart just sweet. For me it was way to much on the sour game. The other styles I tried were great. read more

It had been on my list of places to try and finally decided to stop by and check out their selection. The brewery is nicely set up with inside and outside seating. There are a couple of game areas and they do have live music on the weekends. It dies get a bit crowded so be prepared to wait to order or get a seat. The staff was nice, attentive and happy to answer questions or make suggestions. I asked for their sours and I got to try 2 of them before ordering which it sure was appreciated. I like that they have a small pour and a larger one, so that you get to try different flavors if you like. We got the pineapple sour (Of the Lifestyle) and the watermelon sour (Meloncholy). The other sours are too sweet and these were a bit less. Wish they had one that was more tangy and much more less sweet. We tried their lager and that was smooth and refreshing. We came here to hang out before we went to dinner with another friend. We walked in and the place was empty except for one other table. We sat down at the bar and met our bartender. I feel bad but I forgot her name. Blonde women, shaved sides. Really nice. We spoke about how she hates when she goes to another bar and the bartenders are stuck up or boring. We ended up chilling and the wife and friend got a flight tasting. I tasted the only sour on tap which was good. My buddy got the purple can that to me was too strong. The place is nice and clean. I'm biased as a long time patron but this is my favorite brewery in Orlando to date. Since 2017 tactical brewing has been pumping out some of the best, most creative and occasionally odd beers in the city and some would say the state. Come for the beer and stay for the people. Cory, Garrett, Ash, Cedric, Dallas and sometimes Aaron are always there to ask you about your day and make you feel like a regular. Come often and taste their rotating menu. No week or day is ever the same so check their website for updated tap list. Events every week from run club, dirty bingo, tap takeovers and plenty of local food trucks. I came primarily for the Speakeasy Burger pop-up and really enjoyed myself here at Tactical Brewing. It's super casual with seating both indoor and outdoor and a big bar in the center. The service was great and bartenders were really helpful and patient with a newcomer wanting to try something new. My usual go-to brews are porters and stouts so, the fruit-forward menu here was a little overwhelming, finally after a few different tastes, I landed on the #16 Lazer Dragon 3000 and 8% ABV Imperial Sour with dragon fruit, sudachi, tamarind, and yuzu. It was a delicious pairing with my spicy smash burger! I highly recommend this brewery especially if you're with proclaimed non-beer drinkers. read more

Tactical Brewing is an awesome veteran-owned brewery in the heart of Baldwin Park. Feeling adventurous? They are known for their unique (and sometimes crazy) flavor combinations, so you're sure to find something new you've never tried on the menu. There's something for everyone on the menu including light beers, IPAs, ciders, sours, and more. This is definitely a spot I recommend to friends who don't like IPAs because there are plenty of other options for them to try. During my last visit, I got a beer flight (4 - 5 oz pours) so that I could sample multiple things, including: 1. Pfefe Hefe (German wheat beer with notes of banana) 2. Stairway to Nothing (New England Hazy IPA with citra hops) 3. Run Jewelius Run (Orange Julius Hazy IPA) 4. Fate's Reflection (Collab w/Freehand Goods - sour beer with pineapple, oranges, and honey) The Stairway to Nothing was my fave out of the four. I don't typically opt for sweet drinks in general, but it was still fun to try the different flavors. They have so many more interesting ones that I'd be down to try. I love all the local collabs they do with other local businesses, too. Always keepin it fresh and exciting! I need to go for Bingo on Tuesday nights -- looks so fun! read more

It was a hot day and we wanted to cool off with some beer. They have such a great selection of beers and sours. The Kolsch I got had to be one of the best tasting Kolsch style beers I've ever had. Love coming to tactical!! They have super fun locally brewed beers. Uniquely named and well brewed! They have so many different kinds with so many different flavors. For example they have a Butter Beer and a blue candy sour! Also a watermelon sour, super delicious. Always a good vibe in here. The bartenders, especially Aaron, are a great time! Pros: Customer service was GREAT! The bartenders are kind and friendly. So please note if you decide to come here you will be welcomed. There was trivia going on on this Wednesday night which was a nice touch. They also have old school video games in the back which my friend and I were able to partake in. Cons: THE BEER CHOICE. Of the 18 beers advertised, there were two that were out so there were 16 options. Which is not bad, but the options were just not there. Maybe this is just me, but I am not a sour beer fan, but of the 16 beers available, 7 were sours. And then Unfortunately, I do not care for IPAs unless I have to drink them. On the menu, there were 5 IPAs. Another option was a limoncello hard juice (which I did not count as beer) So that only leaves 3 beer options a American light lager, German Wheat beer, and a Barley wine. I tried the German Wheat Beer and the Lager and both were just okay. Unfortunately, due to the beer selection, I won't be returning as I think there are other breweries with better selection. But if you are a fan of Sours, this menu is definently for you! read more

We had never been here, but it was a nice experience. The vibe was friendly and fun. There was ample seating and the service was pretty quick. They have some...errr.. umm... UNIQUE??? offerings on their beer menu. Some were amazing, some were the opposite of amazing. They were fun to try, though. I'm always a little hesitant about super pro-vet places because honestly, it's a quick trip from saluting those who serve to a weird almost military church cult vibe at some places. Tactical seemed to have a nice balance. They asked if we served at ordering and are blatantly themed with some military themes, but they didn't seem to treat non-vets differently from anyone else other than a discount. That's a great thing. I thought it was weird that they have a big sign saying NO DOGS, but there were like 20 dogs in there. Which is nice because I like dogs and made a new friend. Love coming here Tuesday nights for Drag Bingo! It's 21+ from 7p-9p to accommodate the event. Come early! The seating area fills up pretty quickly! We usually sit at the bar for the best view and seating when we arrive. The food vendors vary each week. Last week was chicken and waffles. A few weeks before was Cholo Dogs. The venue lets you bring in any food and drink from outside vendors. The beer they brew and have on tap is great! They have a good variety for all different beer lovers. They have discounts for Bugalower key chain holders (same group hosting the bingo). Lovely for the event and just for something to sip after walking around Baldwin Park. read more

Inside there is bar and table seating, and there are also a couple tables on the patio in the front. They have rotating selections of craft beer, usually about 16 or so available. Much gratitude for the fact that this now my local brewery (I've recently moved to the area). I've only been once, enjoying a tasty hefeweizen in their outdoor seating area on a balmy Friday evening while working on my laptop, but I expect to return soon (and often). The only thing I didn't love was that all (or almost all) of their darker beers - which I generally tend to prefer - were pretty high gravity, with a minimum of 8% ABV (and I'm not looking for too much of a buzz when trying to read or catch up on work!) read more
