I just went to this brewery on Saturday before the soccer game and found that it was not actually closed. They had about 12 local beers on tap. I enjoyed a nice ale from Windemere. I sat outside under a tent, which was a nice escape from the sun. Inside there was live music. I think this place was bought by somebody else and just reopened if you're looking for a quick drink before a game I think this is a good spot. read more

Located just on the outskirts of downtown Orlando, this location could easily be driven right by. They do have their own private parking lot but it's adjacent to a auto detailer so you could drive right by it. Arrived around 3pm on a Sunday after visiting another brewery in the area and found it to be very empty. There is limited bar seating, table seating and some outdoor seating. The restrooms are immediately off the bar and honestly kind of turned us off from this location as the smell was a bit overwhelming. They do not have any food offerings but do have bags of chips you could purchase to snack on. We were told that they get very busy after soccer games as the stadium is just down the street. We chose to have a beer and continue on our way. I chose The Country Road. Light, crisp and easy to drink. We were able to sample a few others, but nothing pulled us in to want more. read more

I came in on a day that was very busy because this is close walking distance to the Camping World Stadium and everyone was on their way to a bowl game - because of this, I can't attest to volume on a normal day - but let me tell you it was busy and everyone was HAPPY! Having fun, enjoying themselves and their ample selection of drinks. My favorite part was the artwork on the walls, it really just wrapped you in and you couldn't stop looking at it! They have draft and can / bottle selections which is nice, AND lots of sours to choose from as well (my fav!) Everything is reasonably priced. I visited this spot recently. It had been on my list to try and when I saw that fellow Yelper and foodie Genesis N collaborated with them on her own beer release I knew I had to try it! I love the ambience here; it's laid back and casual and I love the music art on the walls. The beer names are all music themed also. They have records for sale and board games available to play if you wish. The bartenders were all friendly. I tried the She's Mighty Mighty beer (the release referred to earlier) which was a delicious stout with coconut flavor notes. We also tried Dr. Feelgood, Thank You for Being a Friend, and Until the Red during our visit and all were really good. They do not serve food here, but they do have food pop ups sometimes and I would imagine you can bring outside food if desired (not positive though so definitely check with the bar!) Overall, this is a fun, laid back place to grab some delicious beers and I'll definitely return. read more

Broken strings is a small batch craft brewery with a music theme. Beer and music? How can you go wrong? Sitting at the bar and watching the associates interact with the customers was great. It was clear to me that there are A LOT of regulars here. The staff seemed to know everyone and made those they didn't know feel like they have been friends forever. If you are going to an Orlando soccer game or to an event at camping world stadium, you should consider stopping here!! The beer is overpriced, the bathrooms are clearly cleaned by bearded men, everything has a crazy flavor and an even weirder name, but the bartenders will always keep you coming back for more. A fun tap room outside of the downtown area but easily accessible via private parking lot or you can adventure and take one of the brand new lime bikes. We headed here to meet up with some friends for a couple of drinks before we had to head out because it a little one. the parking lot is easily accessible and has several spots, however, if that's full there is some side street parking as well. Once you're inside there's a few tables and a bar with some tools. The bartender greeted us right away and I grabbed a drink. You can either open a tab or pay as you go. I had some of the sauvignon blanc, which comes in a can, but it is two serving sizes for $9, which is a pretty good deal! Don't let the can fool you the wine is solid. they also have access to the back area where you can see their brewing on site. It's fun to go back and see what's there. They also have a lot of tabletop games if you're interested in killing a little time while you drink. Overall: A I really fun brewery and taproom. Definitely you should check this one out! read more

This brewery was cool. Right down the street from the Orlando City soccer stadium. I know that this is the hangout before and after a game, so keep that in mind peeps! But if you just want to come by and lounge with some good craft beer, this is a great stop! This was the last stop on the tour and it was neat to see the paintings of legendary musicians on the wall! Plus they have a juke box, but the sound for it wasn't great. I liked the flights given, but at this point in the day, I couldn't remember which beer was which. There's a great view of the brewery too. Apparently there's"two" breweries here. I'll have to come back and investigate. read more

Charles the head brewer was so informative. What a highly educated and motivated entrepreneur! He taught us a thing or two about brewing and the background behind the location and the joint breweries. The menu was super fun and had a wide variety of craft beers. I couldn't decide which one to get. They let me sample almost every one, but I didn't taste them all so I'll have to go back. I thought the parking would be horrendous, but it wasn't bad. There are a few street parking spots, as well as the private lot, but if those all fill up, there's another parking lot on the other side of the building next door. Charlie was amazing. She took care of us, too, and checked on us the whole time. Downtown gets crazy and they said after games on the weekends it gets rowdy, but I might stop by to get the experience! read more

Came here for the Triple Bottle Release and stayed for the great people. Charles, one of the owners, is an awesome dude and knows beer better than anyone I've ever met. I felt like a kid in class listening to him talk about hops and flavor profiles. In fact, everyone I met here seemed to be an expert in beer. It was super fun to learn from these guys. The beer itself was spectacular. I'm a stout guy at heart, so I was loving these deep, rich flavors. The limited edition cookies and cream stout was my favorite. The Chocolate Churros was a close second, followed by the German Chocolate cake in third. Charles was nice enough to toss me a beer flight on the house which I really appreciated. It wasn't super packed when I came here but I liked the vibe of this place. It's not a sports bar, so your forced to interact with the people around you and I love that. I was here all of 5 minutes before I met some great people who I'd be happy to share another beer with any day. Very small brewery and very limited amount of beers on tap. Most of their beers are either IPAs or stouts which are not my usually taste. However, they had a Hefeweizen on their menu so I tried that. I found their Hefeweizen to be one of the best I've had lately. The brewery had board games to play, so my husband and I got a table jenga to play while we drank. I will warn you that if you are going on a Orlando City Home game day you prob don't want to go unless you like crowds. Apparently this is THE place for gathering before a home game. The Broken Cauldron Taproom is a collaboration of Broken Strings Brewery and Black Cauldron Brewing. Right now they have two beers on tap of their own, the Black Cauldron Ruckus Red and the Broken Strings Liquid Vinyl Black IPA, with more to come soon in the coming weeks, as they've just opened. They also have a bunch of guest taps. The taproom is nice and open, awesome garage door that opens up to the outside when there's good weather. They have bar seating, three picnic type tables and a couch. Awesome artwork on the walls. This will be a great location for the Orlando City games and they also have beers to honor our local team such as the Ruckus Red and a blackberry saison on the way that will be a purple color. Very laid back, the owners are extremely friendly. Can't wait for this place to get running full steam, as I'm looking forward to all the beers to come and think this place will really do well. Both beers I've tried today are delicious! They have bike racks out front, and if you're worried about the location, like I was, as it's not in the best part of town, don't be. It's actually in a fairly safe stretch of Church St. and they have a nice size parking lot with a gate around it. read more

I'm a big fan of local breweries so I checked this place out for a first date. The beer here is great, and they had a pretty awesome selection. I had the Penny Layne which was fantastic and my date had the Yellow Card which was also very good. They had a selection of games available for guests too! We likely would've had another round if the service was better, but we wanted to get food so we had to leave. The staff also weren't wearing masks, and we're still in covid times so that lost them a star in my eyes. That being said, I'm excited to go back and try more beers once I'm confident that it's safe! read more

I really like the collaboration aspect of this Brewery as Black Cauldron & Broken Strings came together to form this brewery and so between the two different brew styles, there's something for everyone! Also I loved the musical pun theme to the beer names! So this review is a combination of two visits: - The first visit "My Fermentable Romance" won my heart. This was like drinking a crisp, witty champagne in beer form. - On my second visit, the Rind Melon was the winner for me with nice, clean, fruit flavours. I tried some other beers on tap as well, and my notes are below: 1) Ancient Rites - I think I have to be in the mood for this one. For my first visit, I had this written down, "my first taste of the night and the one I like the most. There was a roundness to the taste" and then for my 2nd visit, I wrote that it was "not too my taste at all" 2) Ruckus Red - it was okay, too rough in taste for me but my table-mates were all over this one. 3) Ancient Rites - not to my taste at all! 4) Purple Mane Pale Ale - pretty good, but there are others on tap that I prefer with more fruit-forwardness 5) Rind Melon - 1st visit comments "not overwhelming fruity, but light and I can see this being an awesome base for mixing with other drinks" and then my 2nd visit comments "My fave! nice, clean crisp." 6) Mr. Brunchside - too dark! was expecting it be like Guinness, but it wasnt. What stops this from being a total 5 -stars is the lack of food options. There's nothing to soak up the booze mid-week (like in the form of a food-trucks) and so definitely more of a weekend place to visit. We came here for the first time after going to Wall Crawl right next door for a photo shoot, and we were so pleasantly surprised. The beers were fantastic. I really liked that they had bottled and canned beers of their brews that you can buy and take home. It was a weeknight near closing, so we were the only people in there - the bartender was so friendly and gave us great suggestions. Beer was creative, but average. I did 2 flights. I didn't hate any of the beers, but also didn't love any of them. Seems like a cool place with musical murals all over the wall. A cool place with some nifty beers. I enjoyed the Liquid Vinyl IPA, Pecan beer, and a few others. It was also nice to be able to get beers from 2 different breweries here. I recommend taking a stroll around the neighborhood; most people would this area too risky to walk in, but I really enjoyed the visit. When I came back to the taproom from my walk an hour later, I realized my rental car had been running the entire time. I apparently had forgotten to push the ignition off button, and the engine is so quiet I hadn't noticed when getting out. Luckily it got good gas mileage. Pick up some take out from Cafe Express Homestyle down the street (the ugliest take out shack in existence), and eat it at the outdoor table at the tap room. read more

Great local brewery whether you are coming by yourself, with friends or before or after a soccer game. The staff is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about their brews on tap. They change the selection regularly but still have some regulars :) The space is open and has a nice patio area as well. They have the option to open the garage doors to the outside for a great atmosphere also. They do not have a food menu, but I have had friends use uber eats here. They do have a couple of menu's on hand to chose from. Great walking distance to the Citrus bowl or the new Orlando City stadium. read more

My first visit here unfortunately it wasn't the best of the breweries I've tried in the Orlando area. Wasn't hard to find but the area didn't look the best. I'm not sure if this was an industrial area or not. Parking wasn't a problem but it wasn't very busy. I guess my problem was the bar server. Wasn't the best as he "over looked " me? Since I was the only woman inside besides the "couple" that left I thought that was rather odd? Anyhoo small tap list. It had a choice for most beer lovers. A cool map on the wall which I took a picture of so I could get a better idea if the breweries in the area since I always drive. BUT THEN he OFFERS the map to my drinking companion while I was SITTING RIGHT there!!! Doesn't offer ME ONE! NOT COOL. CHOOO CHOOOOO! You hear that? That is Orlando getting on the craft beer train! Stoked that they are getting cool new breweries popping up - and will hopefully rival other Florida areas with solid brews. It's all love. As long as FLORIDA's beer scene is strong, I don't care if it's coming from Tampa or Miami, or Broward or West Palm. Having deliciously crafter brews a few hours away is a win for me....I mean everyone ;D Also, this is why I love Yelp. Whipped out the app. Saw this "Hot & New" business just 1.1 miles away and headed over RIGHT when they were opening. Would have never stumbled across this gem otherwise. They just opened up shop a few weeks ago and are still brewing small batch. So much so that they couldn't do growlers of the two beers I really loved. The brewer told us that if he did growlers only a handful of people would be able to try them. He rather have it by the glass only so multiple people could taste the goodness. I respect that. The one that might have stolen the show for me was a strawberry beer (was it a wheat?) -- I can't remember the name right now. It was refreshing, light and had a really strong strawberry flavor. Delicious! Blissful Dawn Porter was also super solid. This dark, roast porter is brewed with barrel aged maple syrup. I wanted french toast with this beer. Just thinking about it I want French toast now. Dammit. There was also exceptional service. You can tell how much the brewer loves making beer. He spoke to us about how the brewery came to be and how the name is a combination of two nano breweries: Broken Strings and Black Cauldron. They are now called Broken Cauldron. Pretty cool. The tap room is one of the funkier ones I have seen. There's a really cool vibe - a lot of windows, so it's nice and bright during the day and there's cool music inspired art. There's portraits of famous musicians, in neon colors. They are almost ripping through the wall because they added this cool texture around each portrait. Great beers and friendly staff! My boyfriend and I stopped in on a self-guided brewery hopping date (uberring of course), where it was the 6th brewery of 7 we visited that day (as you can tell by our picture). This taproom is a combination of two micro breweries; Broken Strings Brewery and Black Cauldron Brewing. Which means you can drink beers from two different brewing companies at the same bar! There was only one other couple at the bar, so the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing when we went. However, this taproom is located within walking distance of the Orlando City soccer stadium so it's packed on game days! Great spot for pre-gaming before heading into the stadium. Also, we were introduced to the Central Florida Ale Trail map by the awesome bartender serving us. This is a brochure style map for visiting all of the micro breweries in Orlando (and surrounding areas). Once you receive a stamp on your map from each brewery, the last place will reward you with an Ale Trail growler! We are still working our way through the trail to this day. read more

This place is fantastic! Our beer was served by Charlie, and crafted by Charles. We had great conversation from Charlie and had a blast. The beer was fantastic. The "11 Eleven" stout is fantastically creamy with a touch of vanilla. We honestley enjoyed every beer we tasted. We are brining home 4 bottles of the 11 Eleven and two of the My Fermentable Romanace (MFR). By the way MFR is soooo good. As we were talking with Charlie and Charles we mentioned that we were looking for a particular kind of whiskey. Unbeknownst to us Charles had called different stores on his own volition. When we got to the place they recommended for food (Also amazing btw) Charles had left a message telling us where to find it. RARELY do I find such great hospitality. Go here! read more
