My hubby and kids treated me to a Mother's Day brunch at The Vig in Arcadia, and it was such a sweet way to spend the morning. They snagged a reservation ahead of time, and when we got there, we were seated out on the patio--it was such a beautiful, chill morning. Totally relaxing. I started off with an espresso martini and included the Baileys to make it extra creamy. So good!! For brunch, I went with the avocado toast, and wow--it was absolutely delicious. It came with a side salad that had this super flavorful dressing! So dang good! My daughter ordered the pancakes, and they were amazing too--lots of vanilla flavor, but in a really nice, not to overpowering. I wrapped it all up with a refreshing sangria to finish off the brunch. Overall, such a fun and tasty morning. We'll definitely be going back!

Great lunch experience at the Vig Arcadia. Service was excellent, good lunch specials. Noise can be loud but had a corner table.

Gluten free roasted turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries

I love this Vig location!! It's a cool vibe with half inside and half outside. And it's perfect weather right now for this concept. We had eight of us for lunch - the server was very attentive and nice. The food came out fast and everyone got their meals at the same time. I also love how The Vig has gluten free bread!! So of course I had to order the roasted turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries. SO GOOD. The bread slightly crumbles but it's pretty good for gluten free (I can only imagine how even more tasty this is with the pretzel bread). There was a good amount of turkey, and with the melted cheese, creamy slaw (for some texture), and cranberry sauce... perfection. And dipped into the mustard-y aioli, wow. Not even needed but elevates this sandwich even more. Great textural contrasts, great balance of sweet and savory and acidic. The sweet potato fries dipped into the aioli or ranch, love. Nice and crispy, which is how I like it! A good portion of fries too! I also snuck some of the queso from my friends. Very cheesy and rich queso, and so good when it's nice and hot. This was a huge appetizer, four could share it easily!

I haven't been to this location before but today was the day, as I hosted a couple of colleagues/friends for an Administrative Professionals lunch. We had a reservation and were seated immediately on the shady patio. All of our food was delicious and our cocktails were too. We had a great server and the entire staff was great!

We have become increasing fans of the Vig at multiple locations so decided to try the original. It has the same upscale but relaxed vibe. Drinks are good and reasonably priced. The pretzel was hot with a crispy crust and moist soft inside. pastrami was tasty and not too fatty. The chipotle cream pasta was smooth and silky, not heavy. Service is a little on the slower side, but that's part of the relaxed atmosphere, not really an issue.

Dined-8.22.24 Or just randomly started to storm (monsoon season) and we still opted to sit outside as we knew the storm would pass. The host moved tables around to ensure we wouldn't get wet. Server was attentive you just have to be patient when looking for parking. Food was good, complaints (aside the very limited parking).

First time at this Vig! I got the French dip which was pretty good just a little fatty, but overall great flavor. My wife got the chopped chicken salad which she loves and always gets when she goes to The Vig. For dessert we got the butterscotch bread pudding and it was epic!! So delicious I wanted to order a second! Service was good. Had to ask for a refill of my drink but the waitress was nice.

A dimly lit American styled eatery that has good food and service. I got to try their calamari as an appetizer , the vig burger, and the fried chicken sandwich. Starting with the calamari, it's fried well with a good crisp and flavor; it wasn't overcooked and the squid had the perfect texture. The dip was good, and I enjoyed the pickled onions to add some acidity. The fried chicken was also decent but needed more sauce. I think more hot honey or BBQ sauce would've made it much better. The vinegar slaw was a nice counterbalance and the texture was good, but it needed more sauce. 4/5 The vig burger on the other hand was very good. The cheese, pickled jalapeno, aioli, guac, and fried onions all came together very well to compliment the meat (medium). Both fries were also not lacking in any department. I preferred the sweet potato fries a bit more, but the regular ones were tasty as well. Overall, I had a good experience. Prices range around $15 per app, $20 per entree, and $10 for dessert. Soda is $4.

    Happy hour sliders and tacos

My girl friend and I stopped here for happy hour after work and it was a perfect spot to meet up with friends! Their happy hour is from 3-6 pm which is perfect for post work plans. I loved the chicken tacos and the sliders, together it was the perfect amount of food. The espresso martini was strong but tasty if you love them. Our waiter was so kind, often came by to refill our waters and check on us. I also asked him what he recommended and got the food he suggested - great picks! Will def be back for another happy hour. Great prices and portions!

It was super tasty minus that the bread was burnt. Without the burn, it would've been a solid 5/5 for me. I also am obsessed with their fries, they're those skinny shoestring crispy type & with the truffle aïoli were perfection. The service started off great but slowly slipped as our server got busier and visited our table far less. I'm sure they just have some kinks to work out with the new menu. Overall I still really enjoyed it & would come back again to try their dinner.

It has a lovely ambiance, the food is good, and while we had a few issues with our food, the service was delightful. We also found some fun offers when booking through OpenTable. We arrived to Aftermath for an evening reservation on a Saturday night that we made through OpenTable. The parking spots in front were taken so we drove around to the back where there was plenty of parking. We found a parking spot right by the back door to the restaurant, which we had to pull to open (though that was easy to do). We then walked to the host stand and were seating right upon arrival. Our server Allyn was wonderful! She answered our many questions, gave some great recommendations, and made us feel right at home. We started out by ordering a cocktail and wanted something fruity, sweet, and made with vodka, and while nothing on the menu fit this request, we had Allyn work with the bartender to create a "Bartender's Choice" drink, which turned out to be a Blackberry Mint. It was exactly what we were hoping for. We then ordered Rigatoni Alla Vodka for my wife (consisting of imported rigatoni, Calabrian chili vodka sauce, parmesan, and basil) and an Aftermath Burger for me (consisting of 2 Arizona grass fed blend patties, velveeta, red onion, house pickles, toasted onion Kona bun, and Aftermath burger sauce with fries). We learned that the Rigatoni Alla Vodka has a spiciness level of 2 out of 5, though Allyn put in a request for my wife to get it at a 1 out of 5, and it was perfect. Our only issue is that when my dish arrived, the fries were actually cold and the burgers were barely lukewarm. It was busy at that time in the restaurant, and once I got the attention of someone to assist, they quickly brought out a replacement burger, which was delicious. The fries tasted almost as if they were nuked in a microwave, but they were still a good complement to the burger. Learn more about Aftermath at https://aftermathphoenix.com. They are open for lunch daily from 11-3 except for Friday and Saturday when they are open from 10-3. They are open daily for dinner from 4-10 PM. They have daily happy hour from 4-6 PM and live music every Sunday from 7-9 PM. Open Table also offers specials. The first time you book Aftermath through Open Table, you can get a drink for only a penny. After several visits, you then earn a free appetizer or dessert, and after several more visits, you earn a free burger. While we had the issue with the burger and fries temperature, Aftermath redeemed themselves by quickly replacing it, and otherwise, we had a very good experience. We do plan on visiting again in the near future.

I really love the aesthetic of this place. First of all it's tucked on the back corner of a strip mall. The dining room is kind of a great mixture that stuff it's very industrial working with lots of concrete with open duct work, but it also has a lovely tufted Bank at and crystal chandeliers. The perfect balance and I love it. You can see into the kitchen which I also like. Our server was delightful, and I loved the attentiveness, like making sure to move the curtains when the light was hitting in an odd way. I started with a delicious drink that I think was called Mezcal Orange Fizz. It was yummy! For the first course I chose the Salmon Crudo. It had a citrus dressing and crispy rice chip. It was absolutely delicious, but very tiny. I could have licked the plate because the dressing was so yummy. My friend had the gazpacho, which she said was very good With main course I chose the Garlic-Lemon Scallops and Corn. It was four delicious scallops on polenta garnished with popcorn. What a cool surprise! It was really good! My friend had the short ribs which she seemed to like as well. For dessert, we both chose the key lime tart. It was a little bit of heaven on a plate! I really enjoyed it. The portion sizes were appropriate - - what we probably should be eating rather than the huge portions we normally get. I was able to finish everything, and I left full but not stuffed. I did remove a star because I did not like that they charged a gratuity on a check for just one person. I normally tip a minimum of 25%, but they added 18%. I just left it. I understand the need to include the gratuity with a larger party (somehow the server always seems to get the short end on those larger parties). I don't know if that's a normal thing, or a restaurant week thing because, to be honest, hubby always pays the bill. I do recommend this hidden gem of a place.
