I used to be an employee right when the store was sold. The owner wasnt too familiar with how to run things properly and suffiently. Dont get me wrong hes a great guy, this just wasnt the right franchise to own for him. But he ended up selling the store after i quit. From the time it was sold toright now, i have to say its the best ive seen the store in years! The new owner has taken control of everything and is making tremendous improvements. Im very proud of what the store is now. I definitely reccomend going in and checking everything out! So if you ever had a problem here i promise you, you wont be disappointed. read more

UPS made my passport photo for UK. I tried before many places, but nobody know about UK passport photo size. These guys did a great job. I like this place, now this is my favorite ups store. If I could give no stars I would! Don't ever use this UPS! I went to send a package on September 21st at 11:52am. Got my tracking number and my label for my package says it wasn't made until almost 7pm that night when I saw her put it on the package when I was there. My package never made it from that location or left that store it still shows it is waiting to be picked up and it is a month later! I have called continuously and the "manager" said to bring in another package and he will ship it for free! What about my package and money you made me lose after losing my first package! I will not bring another shipment to this location. Terrible. Drop off a shipment and it never left the store and is lost forever! read more

I am a student at CSU Stan and I always purchase my books through Chegg. I've been returning my books through this UPS store since spring 2012. Today I had the rudest person help me!! I always drop off my Chegg box and they tape it up for you. The girl told me it was $3.00 to have them tape it. Really?? I could buy a roll of tape for that price, but I paid ne-ways. Then, she proceeded to tell me that for "future reference" I have to tape my box myself when I have a prepaid box. That's funny I've been going to that store for two years and it's never been a problem. She was so rude and I'll never go to that UPS store again. read more

I have a complaint with this store filed for employee theft. Do not use this store. Especially for access pick up point. I was at the Ceres center where all packages go to first before drivers drop off to the designation points. 1/28/2016. The personnel there started investigating two packages my tracking number said was delivered to the monte vista ups store but they kept saying it wasn't there. The person who signed for my package last name is Russel. So the person at the Ceres center called the store and ask to speak with the employee with the last name Russel. The person who answered at the monte vista store said there was no employee by the name Russel that worked there. So the Ceres employee called the driver who was named as delivering my package to the store and he said there is definitely an employee by Russel that worked there and even gave her first name. So we called the monte Vista ups store again and confronted this employee who finally said there was an employee by the name A. Russel there but she just left. The Monte Vista ups employee was flustered now and kept saying the package was not there and don't send me there. The wonderful Ceres employee stood her ground and made it perfectly clear this was going to become an issue and not let go. She told the employee that "I" the customer was going to call those I ordered from and sent the packages and make a claim that the ups store never delivered my order and give them the full information. Then the owners of that store will be notified what is going on. This happened to two of my orders sent there signed by A. Russel. This is no small deal. This is theft and lying. Plus they wouldn't let a driver (they meaning The monte vista store) the other day who came to my house with an order instead of bringing it to the monte vista store give it to me. He was very confused and said to the store "She is standing right in front of me why cant I give it to her?" They told him no again and he apologized to me. He was very confused. So to sum this all up the Turlock UPS store on 'Monte Vista next to Safeway is shady and unprofessional. Unlawful if just not just plain unethical behaviors are going on in that store. read more

I went to this pathetic UPS store today to ship out a package! I don't like to leave negative Yelp reviews, but this store is horrible! The staff lack training and knowledge of anything that has to do with mail or shipping out a package! First off, I go to ship a package and tattooed heifer does not have a clue about how to ship my package and has to keep on asking the other heifer for instructions and directions to ship my package. Wow, are you serious? This went on for twenty minutes! Lucky, they were finally able to "help"(I use this term loosely, because they were no help at all) and get my package ready to ship. And when I first walked in she tells me it will be 13-18 dollars to ship my box, no biggie, but turns out she completely off and had no clue what she was talking about!! Cost me $35... Wow, needless to say this will be the last time I take my business over here. read more

I emailed them a document to print for me and they charge $1 a copy! After asking to get 15 pages (black & white mind u) No special rates, discounts, nothing! Fedex charges 13cents a copy! I wanted to mail 2 packages before Christmas. One to Alaska, and one to Montana. They said, because of the long distances, it would cost $84 and it would arrive on Monday, several days before Christmas. I asked them specifically, if that was cheaper than US post office, and they assured me it was, because of the long distance. I paid for it, had a second thought (with the help of my wife, haha) and immediately got a refund. I then took it to US post office in Turlock and got the same exact shipment arrangements for $24, arriving on the same day! They are completely dishonest and we'll never go there again. CAUTION! Do not do business here! I sent out a package to a customer on July 23 and was do to arrive between the 29th and Aug. 2nd. After a few days I tracked the package via UPS.com after delivery to this particular location and saw that it had not shipped. I contacted the store and they informed me that it had shipped, a few more days went by and my customer contacted me saying the package hadnt arrived. I called UPS customer service themselves and in fact the package had not shipped, it was never picked up! People, this place is committing theft... Plain and simple, and based on other reviews (which i should have read first) the same is happening to others. Hopefully someone else can avoid such a situation as this by not conducting business here. read more

Just some info for people who use the UPS Store on Monte Vista: If you drop off a package for USPS and they lose it they will not reimburse you for the lost package even if you have a receipt showing they received it from you. Not a store I will be using in the future!!!! read more

I had 35, (some very large), pieces of art to ship back to the artists that were on exhibit at the Carnegie Art Center. Because many of the works were done by famous artists they are very valuable and needed to be handled with the utmost care. Sherry and Linzi were amazing. They worked together like a team and not only took care of crthe labels for all the art but also handled a large number of customers at the same time. They were extremely patient and helpful, (even when I was feeling overwhelmed and confused). I highly recommend this UPS store!!! read more

I LOVE this store!!! I arrived in town late and walked into the store right before they closed. The woman who was running the store, in the most polite and kindest way, ushered me in and assisted me in getting all of my copies made (8 different documents, some color some black and white, multiple pages) and then helped me staple them together. I kept apologizing for keeping her so late but she insisted that it was ok and understood my dilemma (8 am presentation). Outstanding customer service! I took in a packaging and shipped it USPS, got a tracking number, and was told the package would arrive 2 days later. When the package didn't arrive, I checked the tracking and found the store did not ship out the package until the following day. when I inquired with the store, their pickup for USPS is once a day before 10:30..I was not told this or I would have changed the shipping. I asked my wife to ship two packages for me so she went to this UPS Store. I had checked shipping cost before hand an new that it would cost around $35 to ship both packages. I agree that the staff is poorly trained and has no knowledge of shipping. Now to be fair my wife did not have one of the packages boxed. So she was advised by the staff that it would be cheaper to send the items in one box and take the items into the back and package it. When they come back out the items are in a very large! box 4.5 (I did the math) times larger that the two items. As most people know shipping prices are based on weight and size. My wife is quoted $96!!! To ship this large box. That wights 15 lbs. thank goodness she call me and I advised her not to ship it. And then they charge her $13 for the box and packaging. My poor wife felt humiliated so she paid and left. The next day I take their big ass box back and ask for a refund at first I was told that I could not return the box as it was used. So the manger / owner comes out is very rude!!! I am very mad at this point. I explain that I should get a refund due to fact that my wife should have never been sold the box to start with. After some back and forth she rudely says " give him his money back" as she turns her back and throws her arm in the air. I will say the girls were nice and polite as they refunded my money. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE TO SHIP PACKAGES THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! I do under stand that they can not carry every size of box but cut it down to fit and save your customers money! read more

Went in today and the lady was super rude. Like the rudest lady ever. She said I needed my account number for ATT so that she could send in my boxes so as I was calling to get my account number she continued to enter my information. I figured that she realized what I was doing since she was the one who told me I needed the information. She told me that it was too late for the first half of my shipment because she already entered in half of the information and that we would have to keep the receipt in case they didn't associate the boxes with my account. I asked her if she could just cancel and start over since she hadn't finished yet and she got very angry with me even though I was just trying to provide her with the information that she requested. Finally we just packed up our boxes to go elsewhere as I no longer trusted her with them. She got very angry and didn't mind showing us how angry she was. read more

I can't believe the horrible staff and customer service at this store. I shipped packages through this location and the recipient received their Christmas package in a plastic bag. When I went to see what the recourse was I was told nothing. The store owner was in the store and didn't have the courtesy to try to help. They had no problem taking my money and charging a service fee for their service. I wish I had read the reviews before going to this location. I walked in and asked for a quote to mail a 10 lb box to Canada. I was given a good price $30, compared to the post office $70 so I gave them my business. The box was birthday gifts for my daughter, and the date to arrive was right on the day. My ex-wife calls me and says they could not deliver due to unpaid duties and taxes! I called the Canada UPS and had to pay $80 over the phone and they could not redeliver till next day. So because this UPS store did not advise me of any possible extra fees, the gifts were late. I called up the store to make a complaint with the owner, and she has one of her emplloyee's to call me back and basicly tell me oh well, bad luck for me, we're sorry there is nothing we can do. This is bad business, I will never go back to this place and tell everyone I know to keep away from this place. I am a real person, please take my advice and save your money. read more

I am not usually one to write reviews, but I could not help myself after visiting this specific locations for a while now. At every visit (which there is a lot considering that I rent all of my textbooks and am a frequent online shopper), I am always sincerely greeted and acknowledged as soon as I walk through the door. The gentelman who is usually there at every visit of mine, goes out of his way each time to talk to his customers, no matter how busy or slow they are. There has not been a time where I have entered this specific store and not received impeccable service and sincere kindness (which I cannot say about every UPS location unfortunately). I needed to ship out a package from this store and when I attempted to give them the account number to charge the fees to, the employee told me that they do not accept UPS account #'s because of "fraud". I was in a bind and had to get the package shipped out that day so I took her word for it and paid for the shipping out of my own pocket. I spoke to the vendor where the the package was being shipped back to and they were stunned on how much they charged, It was more than a 100% mark up. I understand that businesses are here to make a profit, but this is excessive. If I didn't have to have it shipped out that day I would have gone directly to UPS in Ceres not a UPS store. read more

I have never left a negative review, but the treatment I received at this store---I cannot keep quiet about this. First, as some of the reviews have mentioned, the staff is not properly trained. The employee who helped me, was nice enough, but she had no idea what she was doing. I was attempting to send a priority mail package and I had already printed the label out at home and as such, only needed the priority mail box, which is generally free with the flat rate postage. The employee who was helping me had never worked with prepaid labels before and was confused by the whole thing, but packaged one of my items anyway. Then, she asked another employee about it. The other employee then in a patronizing tone informs me that I cannot get those boxes free as they charge a service fee. She continued to lecture me in her condescending tone, as if I had demanded some sort of service---when in reality, neither her employee nor I knew the store rules. Had I been told of the service charge when I walked in, I would have just gone to the post office, where it is free. When I asked that the other employee not be as patronizing as I had not demanded anything or been rude to her employee. She became even more disrespectful toward me. When I informed her that I would be reporting her treatment toward me, she snootily responded with..."And make sure you tell them I'm the owner." Any owner who mistreats their customers like this, should not be in business. I will never go to that UPS store again and I am filing complaints with UPS and the USPS. I should also mention that in 2010 they lost some certified mail I had sent from that location. This is the first time I went back, and while I gave them a second chance...it is clear that this store has only gotten worse. I had overnighted a package to LA and once the package got there, my cousin told me there was something missing from it and it looked like someone had opened it. The only person that saw me package my shipment was Amy. Once I confronted the lady that was working at the store, she said "she's my friend. I've known her for a long time she wouldn't do that" so then I asked to talk to the owner of the location since they are a private party and not actual UPS, he said he doesn't know what to do since they DO NOT have security cameras. I went back to the store today once I read other Yelp reviews on this lady Amy and how they have had issues with theft, Amy was at the store and said she would never do something like that because she has 3 kids. this is the worst place to use. I have gone to this place 3 times and all 3 times I was very upset and disappointed. They are the cheapest business place ever! They want to pinch money out of the client for any reason!!! Today they wanted to charge me money for adding a small piece of tape to my UPS package!! I took my business to Postal Centet USA on Geer Road. They are fair, excellent customer service, and I was vey satisfied.
