Found right on downtown Main Street, this post office is always busy. They have a lot at the side…read morebut parking is limited so your best bet is on the side streets. But the parking lot flows out to the next street, which is E. Olive Avenue. Mid-way out, there are mailboxes where you can drop stamped goods. The lines are always long and I will not even mention how they are over the holidays. While waiting, each customer is approached by an agent who asks what kind of service they're in for. They tick off some boxes on a little form and give it to you. This is meant to facilitate their service, which I appreciate. We didn't have that feature back in NYC. You're on your own back there. Anyway, more often than not, it doesn't turn out exactly what you need or want. An agent says this way and another would say that way. It seems that they are as confused as their customers. It would also help if they had a stamp vending machine or a line meant just to buy stamps. Don't you hate falling in a slow line just for a couple of postal stickers? Not everyone has foresight in storing stamps. And I'm talking about my husband. :)

She was so patient, so friendly, and always had a smile while trying different ways to get my document to be clear. At the end, it was successful and we tried four or five times and she never got frustrated with me. She was very kind and because of this, I will continue to go to the store. Hopefully her manager will see this because she made a very stressful moment for me very manageable and I left there with an ease of getting my paperwork in order. My rural mail carrier works out of this office…read more A couple of years ago I decided to invest in a locking mailbox in an attempt to combat the rise in mail theft. Sadly it looks like it was a waste of money on my part. Not because someone broke into the mailbox, rather my mail carrier occasionally (once a week or so) does not push my mail all the way through the slot and leaves it hanging out of the box right alongside the road. You would think mail carriers would be hyper sensitive to mail theft and do everything possible to protect against it, apparently that's not the case.

This is the same location that services the rural route ensuring the daily delivery of the mail to me which runs rather consistently. Parking is very limited here and there is streetside available too. I hope the postal service never goes away. We need it and some things should remain. In my humble opinion.
