Found right on downtown Main Street, this post office is always busy. They have a lot at the side but parking is limited so your best bet is on the side streets. But the parking lot flows out to the next street, which is E. Olive Avenue. Mid-way out, there are mailboxes where you can drop stamped goods. The lines are always long and I will not even mention how they are over the holidays. While waiting, each customer is approached by an agent who asks what kind of service they're in for. They tick off some boxes on a little form and give it to you. This is meant to facilitate their service, which I appreciate. We didn't have that feature back in NYC. You're on your own back there. Anyway, more often than not, it doesn't turn out exactly what you need or want. An agent says this way and another would say that way. It seems that they are as confused as their customers. It would also help if they had a stamp vending machine or a line meant just to buy stamps. Don't you hate falling in a slow line just for a couple of postal stickers? Not everyone has foresight in storing stamps. And I'm talking about my husband. :) read more

I have been calling for the last few days trying to get answers as i work in an office and am not able to leave the office all day everyday. I wait to listen to the whole automated thing that says someone will be with you if you wait on the line which i have done numerous times and all i get is a hang up and have to call again and am not getting anywhere. How does anyone get answers if they never can get through? read more

Every time I have been in this post office, the person at the desk has been exceptionally friendly & helpful. If I ask for advice, I have been given helpful information. When I'm on vacation, my instructions for "held mail" have been carried out as requested. Mailing packages there is much more economical than many other places. read more

I went in to get a money order and the older gentleman working was extremely rude. I had forgotten my physical card so I added my card to mobile pay. For some reason it declined. My phone asked me to verify my identity and I was abou to re tap it when the man says, mam there's a line of people waiting. Why don't you come back when you have money. I was so upset and told him how I have more than enough on my account but I left furious. It was a rude and uncalled for comment. Mostly how embarrassing to say that out loud and humiliate your guest. These people need to learn the first thing about customer service. read more

Went in with a package and told the lady I ran out of tape at home so if she could tape it for me that would've been great. They've taped packages up for me in the past. This girl goes "I can't tape it for you, you have to buy a strip of tape" WHY DID I HAVE TO BUY A SINGLE STRIP OF TAPE FOR TWO DOLLARS?? AFTER IM ALREADY PAYING 8 FOR A LABEL???? And the kicker was that there was a roll of tape sitting on the counter right next to her. Picking and choosing who you're going to give things to in a business is not good business. This may be the worst post office ever in the history of post offices. I'll bet the mail deliver was better in the 1800's with the Pony Express. Funny thing is, way back in the 1800's they were in better communication with their customers. Had a package set to deliver to the office. There is no community mail boxes - it is simply a door to get in to the office. Found that they said that the package was delivered to a parcel box but there is no other information on the location of the box or what box number and nobody knows. I called the 800 number and they cant find it and have to check with the local office. They cant get ahold of the local office so they say it will be a few days to get back to me. I ask for the number of the office and I get it - but when calling, they dont answer their phones at this location. Ive tried calling over 40 times now and they just dont answer their phone. Id be embarrassed if I was the manager at this location (if you can call that person a manager). In fact, id probably quit and ride off into the sunset if I was that manager knowing that I am a complete failure. I dont know what else to say, my local office is pretty awesome as they answer their phones, delivery is quick, I have not had a lost package and again, they actually answer their phones. Time to close this office and terminate the manager if not the employees with no compensation. if you have to mail something to Turlock, do it in a manner that the package will likely reach its destination, a company like the Fed Ex, UPS or even the damn Pony Express if you can find one (funny how a company that doesn't exist anymore can be better than one that does). read more

The mail carrier completely bypassed my elderly neighbors house even though he had mail out for pick up. The neighbor caught up to the carrier and told him he forgot to pick up the mail. The mail carrier said, "It is not my job to pick up mail. I only deliver mail." This guy makes the Turlock USPS look bad regardless of the hard work the Main St. branch does. He also told my elderly neighbor, " I can't get fired." Is this the new USPS letter carriers' attitude? They could hire homeless vets who would treat customers with respect. I don't know why they get bad reviews, I do picks and shipping from here each day and I have developed such a great relationship with every employee at this facility. Honestly I think they expect that you kind of know the hours and at least what YOU want or YOUR own information to help speed the process along. They are always so helpful in teaching me what they have to offer me to make my business more effective, and they will go the extra mile on an occasion when I've had a difficult experience or need extra help. I think we all realize the post office is a public service so if you use patience then it makes it pleasant for everyone there. That's just my attitude. I don't know why all the bad reviews are on here. I've been using this post office for years now and have never had a problem with it. The customer service is great. The staff is friendly and efficient. I send out packages a lot and the clerks are always nice and helpful. Today I had to make a complaint because my mail is getting mixed up with other people's in my building and the supervisor was on it. Gave me his information to get in contact with him if it happens again. read more

iAn employee at another USPS location confirmed that it's not just me and it's not just a bad day: These people do not answer the phone. They disconnect you so that they can ignore you. This isn't acceptable as an all-the-time policy... Especially during a pandemic, when people want to avoid going to places in person. read more

Find some people that don't hate their job to work there! I don't live in the area own a local business, the mailbox keys changed (never received a notice) we have important mail in our mail box including our business license and I'm calling to see what's needed or the process to get the new keys and when you call they hang up, call juts rings and then the dial tone kicks in and finally when they pick up they don't say anything and just put you on hold, I'm writing this as I've been on hold for 20mins on my 5th call in there for just a simple question! Just another example of how people don't want to work and want free money! If you don't like your job then quit or find a new one! Straight bums ! read more

Customer service is great, the lobby is always clean and freshly mopped. Mail in the boxes by 11. Never a long wait. On busy days, more team members support the counter. Long time employees you get to know over time. Our Turlock branch does a really great job. Thank you USPS. read more

What a joke! I send a lot of packages via USPS and that seems ok, but when I am expecting my own, they always give mail to the wrong address. A few years back, I had a package that was transferred to USPS via FedEx and it said delivered and I never got it. We have a community mail box, so I'm sure someone else got it instead and kept my package and it was something that I couldn't replace. I have received someone's amazon package and drove to their house to return it. Now, I was waiting for a package and it showed it was delivered a week before I checked the tracking number. I filed a claim and they called me and left a message that they will talk to the carrier. They called and left a message the next day that the carrier did drop it off and the gps shows it was delivered to the correct address. How can you be sure when we have a community mail box! It would show the same GPS coordinates for all the other boxes on that main box? Call if you have an issue and their phone is constantly a busy signal, like they leave it off the hook. I called back immediately after the second message and it rang and rang because it was technically now after hours and there is no voicemail. They really need to look at the addresses on items before delivering because other people aren't honest and keeping my mail. I'm sure this happens to a lot of people. Great group of people working here. Always friendly and helpful. They are busy but efficient. Best post office in this valley.

Customer service has been fine, however, they no longer have a stamp dispenser which cause unnecessary long lines and they have someone asking what people are needing when they get in line, which is fine, but you need to be properly staffed if you want to do that. Yesterday I was to receive a package in the mail here at work. I was notified by e-mail it had been delivered. I went to our mail box on Regis Street and it was empty. After I left a man came over to my business and told my boss he had found a package out on the lawn in front of his office!!! It was mine!!! Did the postman just throw it out of the truck onto the lawn? because it would of fit in the box!!! I'm very upset over this and it shouldn't happen. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. I ordered a sound machine for my newborn, it said it was delivered by the post office, I checked my mail it was not there and it never showed up but I did receive my neighbors package. I figured she got mine but nope she got a different apartments package ... a couple weeks later I reached out to the company I bought it from and they happily sent me another sound machine at no charge since I never received it. Two weeks later March 1st it said it was delivered once again by the Turlock post office and I still haven't received my package and it's been over a week. I have a video doorbell and nobody ever brought it to my front door. Obviously the post office workers are mixing up packages to different addresses. I reached out to the post office called and even went down there spoke with the supervisor, they were no help to me at all , all they told me was that it was delivered when I know it clearly wasn't I never received my package that was sent to me twice! How is it fair that I had to pay for something I was supposedly delivered and I never received it? If I reach out to the company again and they are nice enough to send me a third replacement what are the chances that I'm going to even get that package? read more

I am so sick of the Turlock Post Office. John my regular mailman John is outstanding but if he isn't on duty I often don't get my mail. Again today I had my flag up yet my mail is still in the box. I tried to call the post office but the line is always busy. I think they may take the phone off the hook. It is a shame that they abuse the elderly! Horrible service! Had to refuse a package. 2 weeks later found out the package was never sent and could not get my refund.

I ordered an item online, hence to say it was never delivered. When I contacted the local branch, the gentleman was very rude. I will never order anything online to be delivered via this Post Office again. Very disappointed. Update:I received the package, it was in front of my garage this morning.
