I came in during my lunch break yesterday, there was a line of about 15 people - why!??! A bit long, didn't make sense. Only two people were working the counter. It was an extremely long wait. Service could have been a lot better than it was. Cost $50 to ship a box across the country too. Prices were a bit high imo. read more

I'd give it 0 if I could. I live in a gated community. They have the gate code. I've personally offered mine at this station. Each time I've been told it's not necessary because they have the entry code. They still won't deliver. I've had scheduled deliveries for today and yesterday. For both deliveries I've received a notice of non delivery claiming "no safe place to leave a package at the delivery address." We have a community mailbox with 7 parcel boxes for packages. I checked the entry gate and it's functioning just fine. I attempted to call 10 times. Each call went unanswered until the line disconnected. My only conclusion, after having to deal with this same issue numerous times, is that the entire station is completely incompetent. The clerks at the station are lazy and placating so going there directly usually doesn't do anything to help. So, now I wait until Monday, and then I guess I'll be forced to go to this station one more time to lodge another complaint and attempt to have my packages held there so I can pick them up personally. No easy task when you're disabled and don't drive. This level of incompetence is disgraceful and unacceptable. read more

Went in for passport renewals for the kiddos. 1st time we went in they were not taking walkins. No biggie, that's the risk uou take without having an appt. Went back a 2nd time, same thing. Came back again and we were helped by Erika, she was great! She was so busy the second we walked in. So many people not reading the signs about no walkins on Mondays so she was repeating that so many times. Poor thing! She's a great multitasker. Get that girl a new co-worker, someone reliable!!! When I got there, she walked me through everything in a polite and friendly manner, and was very helpful. I hade made an appointment for passports 3 weeks ahead the original appointment date was on 2/20/2025 . Mind you I was coming all the way from San Jose!!! They call me 3 hours before my appointment telling me that they had to reschedule my appointment because they were short staff , one of them were going home because they were sick AND the other one had to leave early because they started early and couldn't stay. I missed a day of work for this!! I told them I needed an appointment because they were all booked. They told me to come in today 3/1/2025 at 4:00pm here again coming all the way from San Jose!!! I get there to find out it was closed!!! They had a sign stating that they were gunna reschedule who ever had an appointment. I never got a call from them. A waste of time and gas. Luckily I showed the voicemail to one of the employees that work there . That they had rescheduled my previous appointment and now this. He was upset as well saying it wasn't right what they had done. He also told me he was gunna let his supervisor know about this situation. He apologized kept saying sorry even though it was not his fault. I mean if they are going to rescheduling appointments they need to get better workers!!!!! read more

The workers there didn't respect our 1st Amendment right for recording in the building when there are rules posted up on the board which is Poster #7. You guys need to email or send a paper to the Poster Master saying there are rules and laws for recording in public saying that we can and are allowed to record in public. Also, state in the email/paper to all USPS in the United States that, it's the 1st Amendment and tell em' to search up what the 1st Amendment is. This Postal Service is total shit. read more

If you are getting passport to get a appointments online is about 1-2 months out. If you do walk-in be at the passport office anytime before 10:30a on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Approximately 15/16 tickets are handed out. Appointments do come within thru out the days read more

ADVICE FOR PASSPORT SERVICE first let me say the man working at the passport service ALONE on a saturday was so helpful and knew his job very well. no complaints there. however, if you are planning to do a walk in listen up: as of 4-10-21, they are doing walk ins based on a ticketing system usually 15-20 tickets a day from 1-4 pm. HERES THE CATCH: people will start lining up as early as 6 am, the post office will open either at 9:30 (saturday) or 10:30(m-f) and the first 15-20 people in line will be the walk in appointments for the day. they will usually have you come back at 1 because thats when the walk ins start. DO NOT SHOW UP AT 1 PM or later EXPECTING TO GET YOUR PASSPORT DONE. plan accordingly and have patience with the overworked employees. read more

Passport seekers: If you plan on coming on a Saturday, don't even think about showing up 15 minutes after opening. I arrived at 10:15 and waited in line for about 30 minutes without a word being mentioned. A second agent comes out and tells everyone that they are done for the day unless you have a ticket, which apparently the give out at opening or before? My 2 cents - Reject me as I make line, not after 30 minutes of waiting. I would of left happier. read more

This place is absolutely trash when trying to get a passport. do yourself a favor and make a appt with another post office and make the drive. I arrived at 1030 when they opened. 10 people in front of me. There's only one guy to help everyone. Not only did everyone still need to fill out an application, take pictures, etc, but I checked in ready to go with completed paperwork/ pictures/ copies of birth certificate and still had to wait over 3 hours to be helped. Completely ridiculous. Waiting for others to complete paperwork/ get help filling it out from employee/ ask a whole bunch of questions..... every time someone came up to the counter to ask for help and ask questions the worker had to stop what he was doing to assist. Completely un efficient process all together . People arriving around 1230 are being told to come back at 3 and they should be helped by 5. What a joke read more

We decided to go to this location on Saturday, to do both of my sons passports..that was a bad idea the lady at the counter was rude and wouldn't answer any questions. So we ended up going back on Sunday, I'm glad we did because another employee was there her name was Crystal she was super nice and so knowledgeable! At 11:30 a.m. on Saturday April 20th 2019, a really helpful and polite lady actually answered the phone here on tax due weekend. I had called my closest post office on Kearney to ask the cutoff time for mailing and getting postmark for today. But that location had their phones set to disconnect after playing a recoding that asked me to hold for an actual person to further assist me. I let the lady at paradise know how much I appreciated her help but didn't ask for her name.I'm sorry about that. Some people just try harder and act like they are happy which is so nice. I had been trying to submit my taxes online for a few days but kept getting a message that it wasn't going through but that an extension to fix things was in effect.. I was desperate to get my paperwork in on time. (I was a fool to wait) Now I was unable to reach the post office by phone or find what I wanted online. I just hope that what goes around comes around for her and that she receives the kind thoughtful help she gave to me. read more

I booked a passport appointment online almost two months in advance, only to have Erica leave a message on the day of my appointment at 1:26 pm to inform me that no one was going to be available to help me at that time ( 4:45 pm) . She continued by saying that I could call to reschedule or just come by the office before 3 pm! Hmmm. I immediately called the number provided and of course, after several prompts, it hung up . I'm 25 minutes away from this post office, so I begrudgingly drove there to see if I can speak to a live person. So much for positive thinking. When I arrived at 4:45, I was met with a line of about 12 people. Two ladies were at the counter. There was no employee to be seen. After about 10 minutes of waiting, a middle aged female employee came out from the back room . She took another 10 minutes trying to explain why she couldn't find a certain package . Well, I knew then , this facility was a BAD idea! Steer clear of this place . Don't waste your time ! read more

Usps has screwed up so many of my special deliveries just becuase they are using third party drivers that drive private cars to deliver and they care less what they are delivering I have business location for 15 years and never had a delivery issue only usps private third party drivers cant locate us and if you called usps its more then 50 min wait every time I went to the usps location and they apologized for there slacking third party delivery drivers this sucks they are ruining bday gifts and pkg that are for occasions for certain times No more Post office Fedex ups much better never had this ridiculous issue read more

I don't typically leave a lot of reviews but you have to give credit where it's due. Crystal was amazing, I wanted to go through the passport application again just to hangout with her. Seriously so nice and efficient. They added a TV and okay area for kids, I know they decorated out of their pocket. They may have a limit but it's a small office and the people who complain about that need to get off their high horse. read more

Hello! I'm Roxanne and I'm an acceptance agent in this facility. And I'll tell you everything you need to know. First of all, I sincerely apologize that we could only do a limited amount of applications per day. We cover a huge area including and not limited to Los Banos, Merced, and Stockton, since most post offices stopped doing their own passports and applicants are being redirected to this office. This limited amount varies from clerk to clerk and how many clerks we have available that day. To be honest, at most we only have two clerks per day but usually only have one. Now, with that said, it is walk-ins only, meaning no appointments, 7 days a week from 1030 till about 530. BUT it is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE with tickets only given to those we're sure we can process that day. Saturday's, with the kiddos being off school, are the the busiest. Typically lines start forming around 5am to be helped at 1030. Try not to come on Saturdays unless you're willing to wait until we distribute tickets and be told to come back after a few hours. Tuesday-Friday are better with lines starting around 10am and sometimes we would catch up by 3pm and can take more then. Sometimes when it's slow on weekday afternoons, we can help you right away with little to no wait time at all. But just bear in mind, when you come in midday or in the afternoon, you run the risk of not getting a ticket to be helped. We usually don't do applications after 5pm unless you already have ticket from earlier because we have to send out processed applications by 6pm. We are also very aware a lot of you are coming from far away, but there's very little we can do when there's a lot of people ahead of you. Again, I sincerely apologize. Fortunately, if none of that works for you, appointments are available at the Stanislaus County Library. They are usually booked a month in advance so schedule that accordingly. Another really good option is the Stanislaus County Clerk Recorders Office. I believe they process passports Monday thru Friday and they take walk ins as well. IF YOU ARE LEAVING WITHIN THE NEXT 14 DAYS, PLEASE CONTACT THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE, travel.state.gov. They will set you up with an appointment in their San Francisco Passport Agency. Otherwise, here are the things to bring. Required documents for BRAND NEW adult applicants: - Form DS-11. Available in the office or online at travel.state.gov - ORIGINAL/CERTIFIED TRUE COPY of the applicant's US Birth Certificate plus a photocopy. Both will be submitted to the department of state. (Hospital birth records are not acceptable. It has to be either from the state or county. ) For Adult NATURALIZED CITIZENS: the ORIGINAL and photocopy of the Certificate of Naturalization. - Driver's License/CA State ID/Military ID and a photocopy front and back - 1 Passport Photo. We do them for $15 but Costco and Walmart does them for cheaper. Plus having them ready helps expedite the process. - Check/Money Order for the department of state. Prices available at travel.state.gov NOTE: if you've had a name change, please provide an original marriage license or a court order. Required documents for applications for ANY CHILD UNDER 16 (yes, even if they've had a passport before. If they are under 16 right now, this is what they need): - Form DS-11. Available in the office or online at travel.state.gov - ORIGINAL/CERTIFIED TRUE COPY of the applicant's Birth Certificate plus a photocopy and if not in English, also an official translation. All will be submitted to the department of state. (Hospital birth records are not acceptable. It has to be either from the state or county.) - Both parents' Driver's License/CA State ID/Military ID and photocopies front and back. NOTE: for parents with sole custody of their children, please provide an original court order that awards you sole legal custody. If only one parent is on the birth certificate, that parent's ID is sufficient and no court order is required. - 1 Passport Photo. We do them for $15 but Costco and Walmart does them for cheaper. Plus having them ready helps expedite the process. - Check/Money Order for the department of state. This place is garbage the worst service Ever !! Let me save you some time. The line starts forming since 6am maybe sooner no joke. The person who takes the pictures and does the paperwork process will only do 25 applications IN ONE DAY! I don't know why So basically if your there waiting from 6am and your the 27 you'll have to come back another day and try your luck. The person there is very rude, unkind , and disrespectful. My husband and I needed to get our passports for a cruise so that's how we know about this place. We ended up leaving right away ! As soon soon as we walked in he said "IM NOT ACCEPTING ANY MORE PASSPORT APPLICATIONS FOR THE DAY" it was only 12pm It was ridiculous!!! Just FYI they do NOT do pictures at this location!! Not right now at least. I had to go to Walgreens and the employee there said they have been doing the pictures for that location for about 2 months now so just a heads up, get a pic beforehand. Also, I tried calling the 209-574-0146 (# listed on the travel.state.gov site for this location) and NO ONE ANSWERS!! I heard other people come in and complain about it also. Higher up employees (possibly management) came out from the back and said they dont have time to answer the phone. The employee who helped me with my passport though was nice and was doing a good job with everyone and told me to call a # and complain about the managers not answering the phone. Wish they also told me some more info about waiting bc I had to go back later in the day and then still wait 1.5 hours with me 2 kids (under 2) so it wasnt so fun. read more
