This is the UPS store nearest to our home, but even if it wasn't - it would be our #1 choice! Joti and her crew are very energetic and totally on their games. They are kind and respectful and are always more than happy to do whatever they can, even when it's a tough issue like the one we recently had. Joti went way above and beyond to get us a necessary refund PLUS some on a failed expedited delivery to our family in CA. I used this location to pick up, pack, and ship an item I purchased from a local auction house. The communication about the process was responsive and helpful. They packed the Singer Featherweight sewing machine with incredible care and it arrived in Texas in perfect condition. The cost was expensive but it was in line with what I had expected to pay to carefully pack the item I purchased and ship it from VA to TX. I would recommend them and would not hesitate to do business with them again should the opportunity be present. read more

One of their representatives gave me an approximate quote, picked up my items in a timely manner, packaged them, shipped them, provided tracking, and an accurate date of the arrival of my package. I never leave reviews but sometimes the service received is just so great I'll loose sleep if I do not let others know. I used Store #4608 to ship 6 items I won online from Ararity Auction. I requested quotes from a number of their recommended shippers; Donald Camden from UPS #4608 responded first and gave the most competitive estimate. Communications with him and his staff were swift, polite, and most professional. I was absolutely floored with the packing job they did with my items. I regularly have to ship items and have received many such items from multiple shipping companies across the country and never have I had such a secure shipment with these large and fragile items. They multipacked(nested) the items to save me money and they arrived in pristine condition. Excellent Service!!! I purchased a large heavy antique radio from one of the local auction houses. I asked the store via email to wrap it carefully. They did an EXCELLENT JOB! with extra bubble on the corners, and a piece of Styroform on the face of the radio with cuts to protect the dials. Love this place! Donnie is super responsive and always happy to answer my millions of questions/provide shipping estimates/etc. This place really takes the stress off of selling things online. Not only do they do a great job packing (as I know from people leaving happy reviews on my online shop) but they do it quickly, and best of all they really make a big effort to find the least expensive shipping method without sacrificing the quality of packaging on an item by item basis. This is one of the few locations in the Alexandria/Springfield area where you can get something packaged and shipped. Trust me, all UPS locations are not full service! The staff was very helpful but no one seemed to smile or show any kind of emotions. Not sure what i was expecting, but I would think they would be happy to see me since I actually found them in the midst of other small shops. This UPS helped me when I wanted to return packages to Amazon. I needed 2 bicycles shipped and the manager named Joti was more than helpful. The first bicycle was already broken down to be shipped and it was easy to get that processed. The next bike was harder because I forgot to bring an Allen key tool to break it down. Joti walked me over to a store where they had the tool needed. Yay! Packages are shipped. Very good! read more

Basically the help is of no help, An AI bot will soon replace the workers at this location. I ordered an item from Leica that cost a fair amount to be shipped to my home. UPS attempted to deliver the package ONCE on Saturday and left a notice that included the normal sign on the back to waive signature, etc. The note also said it would be available at the UPS Store the next business day. I signed the noticed, taped it to my door and decided to go the store on Monday. Person as the counter didn't know anything, etc. At least an AI bot would have been able to tell me where it was located within 3 feet using GPS tracking. All the clerk could say is that it's' not here. Then I checked tracking and the history tried to claim that they tried delivery again! Nope, door bell camera and logs didn't show anything. Leica got involved, talked to their service rep, etc. Supposedly isn't being delivered to my house. Nope! Tracking shows "Returning to Sender The delivery address is incorrect." and the package is now in NJ. So sad. read more

John is super efficient, helpful, and informative. My wife and I went in to mail a package and get forms notorized. There were plenty of other customers in line. Accidentally had to pick up my package over here which not quite happy. Order something to be delivered from one site. They said signature was required by the time UPS delivered, however nobody was home. Therefore, my package was ended up here. I am not quite sure how their delivery process is? First attempt, second attempt or leave the notice with a mark of other options? Seemed like I had no others option, had to drive over 6 miles to pick this up on Friday morning. GREAT!! I didn't mind because I need it. There was one rep! for the entire store which a bunch of customers were waiting in the line. For me, waiting was not a big deal. However, his attitude was kind of weird. When I stepped in, first showed him a receipt, and told him I came for pick up. He asked me back " ID ! " and instead of walked away and waving his hand to call me to follow him because package was on the other side of the store. He was better talked to me! I am a regular customer of UPS, and any others places's customer service is way better than here. Luckily I am not local in that area. Otherwise, I will sick of it! read more

This UPS Store on Brandon Street in Springfield, VA is the Very Best we have ever used! The staff excel in efficiency, helpfulness, and politeness. When moving recently, we mailed family heirlooms to several relatives from Texas, California to Tennessee. John did an outstanding job packing these fragile items, and all of the recipients wrote us about how well the items were packed and that they arrived in perfect condition. Many kudos to John! This store also sells a great array of mailing and packing supplies that are neatly displayed. Close this place down! Idiots! Clearly, they don't need customers. I'm overseas for the govt trying to rent a box for a year. They don't read e-mails sent to them, and if they do, they don't respond to get business done. I call and they still display an I don't give a damn attitude. I called them from overseas for the second time to get things done. They told me the person who handles the mailboxes won't be in until 10:30am. I'm literally on the other side of the world, so I asked if I can do it via e-mail. The response was that I could send an e-mail, but the person won't be in until 10:30. I sent an e-mail 2 days earlier (documents sent a week ago couldn't be opened, but they didn't bother to simply send a response to say the attachment wouldn't open....a challenge, I know), which the help opened while I was on the phone, and now I'm asking to do this via e-mail, which means they need to respond to me. The answer is not that I can send them an e-mail. I've done that and they didn't bother to open it or respond. They quite literally don't give a damn. This is a pathetic business. I can't imagine the store has any redeeming value. I'll go to one of their competitors. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I don't think these idiots are capable of performing the simplest of tasks. I'm being generous to them. read more
