As a proud grandma, I wanted to laminate an 8.5 x 11 sign that my grand daughter made for me. I called and asked if they could laminate it. They said they could. When I got there, they said it would cost $15 bc they have a minimum. I understand that. I asked 'why didn't you tell me that when I called?' They said 'You should have asked' I thought that was rude and something they could have easily told me on the phone. FedEx did it for $2.75. read more

What a disappointment. TL/DR version: I needed personal/business cards for a trip in 10 days. The salesperson, J., said he would email some mockups to me that afternoon. Nothing. Next day, I called, said he was waiting for more info and would get them to me soon. Nothing, called again next day, he said he would email them to me first thing next morning. Nope. It's been over a week and they completely ignored me despite me calling twice. No cards. Bizarre. More details version: I go in Monday morning, have 10 days before my trip, need some personal business cards, very simple, just text, thick cardstock, probably one sided. Have a great conversation with J., very helpful, says he'll email me some mockups to choose from that same Monday afternoon. Awesome. Monday passes, now Tuesday afternoon, and I call, hey, what's up? Oh, sorry, we're still waiting on an estimate for embossing (which I didn't care about as much since they had told me I wouldn't time to do that before my trip.) We'll get back to you soon, probably today. Okay. Next day, Wed., still nothing, I call at end of the day and catch J. Oh, we're still waiting for an embossing estimate. I tell him, hey, forget about the embossing, just send me the estimates you have right now, we need to get moving on this. He tells me, "I've worked 9 hours today, I'm leaving, I'll send them to you first thing in the morning." Okay, fine. It will not surprise you that he did not send them to me the next morning, Thurs. Or the next morning. They never did. Been over a week. I don't go around just submitting bad business reviews for fun, but the way Minuteman put me off and then completely ignored me is a bad sign. Hope your experience is better. (And yeah, I found another printer in Baileys area who was able to do a very quick turnaround for me and save me from Minuteman's fail.) read more

I was traveling through the area and needed some business supplies last minute and Jeff was extremely responsive and accommodating.

They need the total of payment to start working without showing you how is coming along your image. So if after all you don't like whatever they do you maybe won't receive any refund. There's not a parking lot and the thretment and communication are mediocre. Well they're several places that receive the 50% of the payment and the rest when they deliver the final product or job such as "Signs by Tomorrow". In this way customers can see before the final job. So please don't ensure something that you don't know well, don't generalize and don't use excuses to justify nonsense policies. read more

Easily a go-to place for whatever you need. I went to the Arlington, VA location a few months back for a simple project that looked way better and was also cheaper than other print shops I've used. Because of that, I went back to them recently for a last-minute rush project and they MADE IT HAPPEN. Carlos is awesome. I've only experienced great service and great prices here. He was able to design the perfect window sign for my brand new business, at a fair price, and was able to get his workmen out who was also named Steve to apply it to my window in a balanced and absolutely clean fashion. Both were very accommodating with my changing vision . Steve the Installer was just an absolute joy to be around. They were also able to turnaround the product the fastest. They were extremely responsive to my emails and patient with my questions/requests. Color was not consistent on my cards. I clarified my pickup date three times when I ordered, but when I went by it wasn't ready. Nobody communicated that either a) they interpreted it as end of day or b) they would send an email when the job was done. A wasted trip, and not even a feigned apology. read more

I went in because they had a sign outside "Customer service award". They should have an award for excelling at the lack of customer service. I am a new business owner and new to the professional printing world. I went into Minuteman Press with my macbook and a pamphlet file I created in word. Using one of their flash drives, I downloaded the document, the guy behind the counter then uploaded the document onto his computer, saved it into PDF, took my order for 500 color pamphlets, I paid the deposit and returned when they were ready to be picked up. I went to pick them up and the font had changed, the color was much darker and I could not use any of them. A guy from the back came out and told me it was MY fault that I did not get a proof (I was never offered one, and new to the printing business did not know to ask), It was MY fault that they opened the document on a PC when I created it on a Mac. It was MY fault the document was in Word... "You should never create a document in word, it will never print right". In my opinion, they should not accept any job that comes to them in word if they say it can never be printed right. I was asked to pay the balance in full for the pamphlets that were all wrong. I just left them with Minuteman Press because they were that bad. I asked then to correct the problem . Given a few days, they came up with a proof that met my expectations, but was going to charge me 50% off the next order. I really felt they should have been free because they failed to do their job of simply providing me a proof prior to printing my order. I have since used another printer in the Ballston area, and the experience was so much different (better). I have no recourse to get my money back, but I can share my experience and hope to save other small business owner the expense to using this company. I gave Minuteman Press the opportunity to live up to the customer service award that they pride themselves on and all I got was bad attitude and blame for them not doing THEIR job. read more

From start to finish... perfect customer service, perfect workmanship, and (drum roll)... they delivered my orders to my front door (so convenient during these COVID-days). I worked primarily with David, the owner, on a new suite of stationary and marketing materials for our small nonprofit. He was conscientious about our budget, and went above and beyond in helping me get our artwork print-ready. He spent a couple hours one day with my graphic designer weighing in by phone from California, while we went through several rounds of edits to get the colors for our stationary just right. His own graphic designer was working along side, printing out samples of the numerous slight adjustments we needed to make in order to get the right hue and tone for various paper types. Had he and his staff not been so patient and willing to help, I would have been lost. Now that we have everything just the way it needs to be, I trust that Minuteman Press will be able to keep us stocked up on all our basics, capable of making a few slight changes now and then without the need to engage another designer, and we will most certainly return with all of our new projects. I have had a very disappointing experience at this Minuteman Press. I had a large order (1500) of cards to be printed. On first glance they looked great - colors very clear and bright. However as soon as I started going through the cards to package them, I saw that nearly half of the order had imperfections: many had creases, a few had dirt smudges, and others had dings on the edges. I returned these and showed the employee, who agreed with my assessment. He offered to reprint these and told me they would be ready early the following week. Each day the next week when I called they were not ready. By the end of the week I received an email from the owner telling me he could see nothing wrong with them. He said he did find a few that he saw the creases in and agreed to reprint those. He said I could come and get the others that he had deemed acceptable. I returned to look at the cards, and immediately saw the creases again. I showed the employee, who agreed. Then another employee came out and said that the machine did that and even if they redid them, it would be the same. I said I could not give these out if they were imperfect. At this point the employee said it would be better if he refunded me and we terminated our business together. I said that was too bad because they would be missing out on all my future business. Then the owner came in and I showed him the cards. He saw the imperfections but had no interest in correcting them. He said if I looked at Hallmark cards they would be even worse. He did refund me for the imperfect cards. It seemed to me that the owner had no interest in making it right. In my opinion he could have offered me to hand-fold the cards or give them to me unfolded at that point, but instead he just wanted to get rid of me. read more

I accompanied a friend to pick up some note cards that her daughter had designed to be given as gifts to people that had known this little girl and supported her through her long battle with cancer. These are memorial cards made from original work that this amazing child created, My friend and I found many imperfections in the cards made from a roller, some of the cards were smudged. One of the associates was very understanding that these had to be perfect and did what he could to assure us that he understood what my friend was saying about the quality of the cards. She was told by another person, that her cards would continue to come out that way because they are folded by a machine. He made not one attempt to rectify the situation by offering to reprint the cards and give them to her to fold, or even in the best case scenario to have them hand folded to avoid further creasing. YIKES. What ever happened to the old saying "the customer is always right"? My friend was told that the best way to handle this situation was " to part ways". They did give her a refund. I would never recommend these printers to anyone who cares about quality customer service and quality products. read more
