There was an older lady ahead of me with multiple documents who definitely needed some help navigating the process, to the point of calling someone at home with questions. Both workers yesterday, Miguel and especially the other one, were incredibly rude to multiple customers. They actually derided an elderly couple (80+ years old) to their face, and then talked out loud in front of other customers trying to justify their position, "cant believe these people come in not knowing how the notary process doesnt work." They appeared to intentionally make the folks feel dumb and incompetent. It was a direct verbal attack and totally awkward for my group, and the others in the store. When helping me with notary work, Miguel was obnoxious and aggressive with another customer we were with. I had to tell him to calm down, and that we are all just trying to get documents notarized. The air of superiority from these two notaries was incredible, and their rude, aggressive approach to customer service has been documented several times on yelp in the past. It was a disgrace to UPS. To the business owner: please check your cameras to review their behavior and take corrective action to prevent others from having to go through that. There were two unsigned documents that he had overlooked, instead of apologizing he yelled at me and insisted that they had not been there For him to sign. Apparently, he could not look up a UPS Store in another state since I decided to mail my package there due to security concerns. I was told he could not do that and that it's up to me to research it myself. So this UPS Store is not capable of handling the request. I decided to ship it to the original address but he couldn't find my account. I've only been using this store since it opened. Miguel was just rude and told me I had a bad attitude. I took my package and left. Obviously, I will no longer go to this store. Why do people tolerate such horrible customer service. dropped off an overnight package to this location before the cutoff time and the package did not get delivered on time. It looks like whoever took my package put it in the wrong location so the early driver did not get it. Not sure why this is so complicated for UPS charging so much money. Understand that this is a locally owned franchise and that employees in SC are hard to find but when the manager will not take responsibility for the mistake it drives customers away. I came to this store a few days ago. I have been in here before, but never had any issues with customer service. Well, that was because I'd never encountered Miguel before. He was helping another customer when I came in and he said he'd be with me in a few minutes. I said ok, no problem. Then another customer came in. She asked if I'd been helped yet and I said no, that I was waiting. She made the comment that they needed a way for the customer to do drop offs easily. Miguel heard her and said, "if you would read the signs, you'd see that we have a "do it yourself" station" He went on (as he was printing out stuff for another customer) to rant about people not taking the time to read anymore. He seemed stuck on that point, so I told him that I read all the time. He came back with, "well, if you would've read the sign, you'd would've known that you could drop your box off by yourself " I replied with, "it would have been good customer service, for you to nicely point out that there was a self serve option if we didn't want to wait. I had been standing there quietly and patient and wasn't in a hurry, so he wasn't responding to my impatience. He then accused me a yelling at him, saying he was raised with women and knew what it was like to be yelled at. It was an awful experience. I really hope Miguel is fired from this store and not allowed to work at any other UPS store. After a year of having a box here I had an family emergency and had to go out of town for a few days and I missed payment to renew my box. I had been paying for the box every 3 months. I called and one employee told me everything was fine and I could come pick up my mail and close my account . But when I got there Miguel totally flipped on me. He told me I was not going to be able to get any of my mail unless I paid him $80 as a fee for holding my mail for 1 week. When I questioned him he became very aggressive and said "what do you think we're just going to hold your packages for free here' I was surprised that his attitude could turn so cold all the sudden. I have been dealing with UPS for many years now and I am always to pleasant the employees and usually treated accordingly. I have been using this store over the past few years for return items to Amazon. The first time visit was when I was using my rolling chair to scramble over the little wall and planting area. Once over, he saw me and opened the front door for my entry. Since that time when I pull up for another return item he see's my car and comes out to get the item. Very rude and unprofessional manager. Bought 30 shipping boxes after calling over the phone. Was told I was receiving heavy duty boxes (this means double walled usually). When I came in the employees helped me load the bundled boxes. Once I was home, unbundled the boxes and started assembling and loading them, I realized they were weak and not the quality I was promised. I went back to the store to return the boxes and recognized the guy who helped me load them (the manager I guess). Manager tried to call me a liar and insinuated I was "finessing" them and the relocation company who was paying for my move. He refused a refund for 5/30 boxes since according to him he "verbally told me the boxes could not be refunded if they were bent or had tape on them" when I bought them. Well I don't recall this conversation and it doesn't say so on the receipt AND they lied about the quality of boxes they sold me so I think he actually finessed me. Long story short, don't go here if you need moving boxes. Uhaul sells heavy duty boxes with handles, double walled, and are still half the price of the UPS shipping boxes. He didn't let me return 5 boxes and he tried to tell me to come back for a good shipping deal lol. I went to fedex for shipping to avoid the UPS stores rude, unprofessional, and sketchy manager / employees. read more

Got asked to leave because I was confusing. I was just getting a passport photo and some copies printed of other photos.

Miguel needs to be fired, he's an absolute nut case. Read all the very poor reviews here on Yelp about him. It's beyond me why the owners are so desperate to keep such a poor representative of the UPS experience that I have grown to respect and appreciate. I travel all over the country and use UPS Stores more often than not to get my mail and have had zero issues until now dealing with Miguel. As I am well aware, these stores are franchises and every store has different policies and prices for picking up mail if you're not a paying box holder. As I always do, I called this store before I had any packages shipped there to ask them their policies and prices. I was told $5 per package. I had several packages shipped here with no problems and paid the $5 fees. The last package I went to pick up had been waiting there for 4 days and Miguel said the fee was $20, $5 per day that the package sits there. $20 is all good and fine if they had initially told me that was their policy, but they hadn't. No big deal. So, I ask Miguel if he can just have it returned to the shipper, he gives me attitude and says yes and chuckles "thats if it makes it back". I didn't read in to too much to what he said or even his attitude, just thought he was weird. I left the store and over the next week ordered a few more things to pick up at this store and this time fully aware that I'd better pick up my packages on time or have to pay an extra $5 per day. And what does Miguel do? He refuses all my packages upon delivery!? So, I call the store asking why my packages are being refused and Miguel says that I need to take my business elsewhere. That's all good and fine but why didn't he tell me that the last time I was in the store? I definitely would have, they are not the only game in town, especially when you're treated so unprofessionally. He also, went on to say that my package was refused because my phone # wasn't on the package, so they wouldn't be able to call me to pick up my package. All good and fine, but why were my previous packages excepted without my phone numbers on them? And, furthermore you never told me that I had to have my phone number on the package in order for it be received. Miguel is super WEIRD and seems to me to make up the rules as he goes. So, I had to spend unnecessary time on the phone reordering and reshipping my refused packages to another UPS Store location. I called Miguel and asked him for the owners information so that I could complain about his behavior and of course he refused. I also had to call back and asked Miguel why my package that I asked for him to return never made it back to the shipper and he said it was given back to the company who delivered it, however, OnTrac said they never received it. My suspicion is that Miguel is stealing packages based on a previous Yelp ad of theft from this store. My recommendation is for all locals and travelers like me to avoid this store until they FIRE MIGUEL! read more

My case: I took in my package to be sent off to the sender and handed the return receipt (included with my original purchase) and package to Miguel. No problem on that day. Imagine my surprise when I received THE SAME package sent to me 3 days later! I went back to the store today (9/30/23) and Miguel was there - I showed him the item I was returning (again!) and asked him how it was sent to me instead of the shipper? He said immediately and defensively "Well, you handed me the return receipt upright (It's as if he was expecting me back because he most likely purposely sent the package to me instead of the original sender!) I said "I gave you the return receipt with the correct sender barcode, not sure how this happened?" He replied with such rudeness "Calm down (I was completely calm, its just a package with a purse I was returning - believe me, I have a lot of purses, this was not going to ruin my life) and he continued " Let's start from the beginning and I will explain it to you" to which I replied "Please do not speak to me like a 5 year old, I just want this returned" He then said, "You do not need to yell" I said stunned, "I am not yelling, and why are you being so aggressive. Can I just get this sent out" Miguel then said "I have a customer here who is a witness and I don't appreciate you being aggressive" Let's stop here. This guy Miguel is passive-aggressive, a liar (I never once raised my voice or was even slightly rude). He then told me he would not take my package, and to leave and go to the post office. Again, I was stunned - not once did he apologize for the mistake he made by sending the package back to me - and here he was trying to play the victim! This was only my 2nd time to this store, a 2nd time back because of his (deliberate?) mistake! It's so obvious that he is very comfortable treating customers poorly and with aggression. The owners ought to be ashamed for having such a nutcase on the frontline dealing with unsuspecting customers. I am middle-aged, nice person who did not deserve Miguels hostility. As I was leaving, and almost out the door, Miguel yelled out "Let me know if you have another customer for us" He had to mock me after treating me badly?! He is a sadistic person in my book who got pleasure from treating me with aggressive and rude behaviour. Disgusting! read more

Disturbing experience: Manager literally yelled at me and associate said "is there a reason why you're raising your voice" because I repeated my phone number (which included area code) loudly because he didn't hear. He kept saying "(831)?" when I said my whole number including area code. Since he wasn't hearing me through my mask, I used a louder voice and annunciated carefully! He then said "is there a reason why you're raising your voice" (uhh, duhh). The manager off to the side then immediately YELLED at me for raising my voice (seriously lol) because I repeated myself because the associate apparently didn't understand some people do not have 831 area codes.. This was as insane as it seems, something was off with the manager, the other guy needs to listen carefully. This is something that anyone who experienced would follow up with, calling UPS to complain. read more

Worst service I have encountered at any UPS store. Needed a Notary Public service. Arrived at 2:30 pm and was told that the Notary had gone to lunch and would be gone for 45 min and that the Notary would be there until 6 pm. I came back at 4:59 pm and was then told by Miguel T (who I think is the Notary and store manager) that notary services end at 5 pm. I pointed out that it is still before 5 pm and that I was told to be back before 6 pm. He still refused and by now it was 5 pm so he argued that rules are rules. I wrote a review on the day of service but for some reason it did not post. Now its about a month post. My original review was much more detailed, as it was fresher in my mind. None the less the guys in this UPS store really do a great job. They went over and beyond the call of duty. We arrived with a big stack of documents that needed to be copied, with all these sections, which needed to be kept together, each with staples to be removed and replaced. We waited in line just a short time, got up to the counter stated we needed copies. Without hesitation a gentleman came straight over to assist. I assumed he would just set us up and we would be left with trial and error waste while we figured it all out (the placement on the glass, the face-up or down) all those things that seem to take an eternity. However, once all the staples were removed this nice, helpful gentleman took care of everything. He had all the documents perfectly copied, in record time. All sections put back together and perfect. I kid you not we were in and out in under 10 minutes. It would have taken us that long just to figure out how to use the copier properly. Plus, it cost way less than we ever thought it would. We paid and were on our way. Happy, satisfied customers. The owner and the workers are so personable and friendly. I have been in here 3 times for important task completion (paperwork notarized, copied and mailed, or documents copied, etc.) Every time I have received professional and proficient service. The owner is very friendly and all the staff well trained. I will always choose this location. read more

I brought an heirloom, hand-crafted jewel case in to have UPS crate and ship it. It cost over $100 to do so. The clerk copied the recipient's address from my phone, so I know I did not write it incorrectly. The item ended up lost, I had to call the UPS 800 number and open a case file on it. Meanwhile, my daughter, who was the recipient, and who lives in Austin, Texas, went out into her neighborhood on foot, and banged on doors until she found the package. The address was incorrect on the shipping label. I would caution anyone sending anything from this UPS store to double check their shipping labels, and if UPS crates their package, stay until they do so, then check the label, even if it means you have to wait. This error caused both myself and my daughter a lot of trouble, inconvenience and anguish. read more

This store is terrible. Plain and simple. I have a hard time believing people actually have positive experiences here and I've give this location several times. I'm struggling to find a decent UPS Store. A while back I was trying to return a package to amazon. The amazon customer service representative told me I would not need packaging and just needed to show the email that they sent me. I go in and turns out it's a label I have to print and I do need packaging. Fine, I could get packaging and print out the label, but the person helping me at the counter was rude and condescending. I understand you are just a drop off point for amazon. I was willing to print my label. I was confused because the amazon rep gave me different instructions. The guy could have explain things a lot nicer. I ended up getting my package ready at home and bring it back a few days later. Worker seemed very disgruntled and informed me I needed to do a better job at taping my package. Again, very condescending. A different time I went in to get a notary done. I've been struggling to get this form notarized. The notary informs me that they will not do it. I asked why. They just said they wouldn't do it. I got zero explanation as to why. Were they too busy? Didn't seem like it, but I'm not really sure. This store also is not following covid precautions well. They definitely did not limit the amount of people in the store. They have mailboxes and I saw a person come in without a mask to get their mail. I would avoid this location. I haven't had any luck with the store on 41st either so if someone can suggest the best UPS store in the county please let me know read more

This location steals mail from people. There is no other way to explain why letters or packages are scanned as delivered to their location but then are no where to be found. If they happen to receive mail for someone that does not currently hold a box at their location it disappears. They claim to have returned it to somewhere but cannot answer any question about who they returned it to or where it may have gone. It is never scanned by any other service after it unfortunately reaches their location. It's just gone. I was a box holder for a year at this location and had packages disappear while I was a customer and twice after. They are unapologetic and unwilling to help. I went into this UPS store to have a passport photo retaken because the one the manager, Miguel had taken the day before was blurry. He was incredibly condescending and kept implying that I wanted a retake because I didn't like how I looked, rather than the blurriness of the photo. He told me I could stay for a "photo shoot" as long as I like but it was going to come out the same. My husband had his taken at the same location two days prior and his is clear so I know that isn't the case. Miguel also followed with, "the only two people who are going to see it are you and the passport agent" and that if I didn't like it I should go to the courthouse to have it retaken. Ugh, again like I was concerned with how it looked rather than my renewal application being rejected because of the quality of the photo. I was really disappointed because he was very nice the day before when he took the initial photo but when I came in for a correction, he was like a different person-very condescending and passive aggressive. In response to the UPS store comment for clarity: you're right, "I didn't have time" for a photo to be rejected and have to send in a new one because the quality of the original was not good enough. My issue overall was the condescension from the manager after addressing the blurry photos. Bummer. read more

I had a return with a pre printed return form. This store took it and even made me buy an extra box. It was a roomba. The tracking NEVER appeared in any system and 3 weeks later vendor did not receive it. Don't leave anything with them. See you in small claims. Thieves. read more
