I stopped by this UPS Store to drop off several return packages. When I walked in, I was the only customer in the store, and the employee behind the counter was on a personal phone call. I stood at the counter waiting to be acknowledged until he finally looked up at me. I said, "Hi, I have some packages to return," and he told me, "You can leave them on the counter." When I asked for a receipt, he looked at me and said, "For all of them?" I replied, "Yes," and he proceeded to scan the packages. After he finished, I thanked him and told him I appreciated it. He handed me the receipt, immediately continued his phone conversation, and never said anything else to me. The packages were processed correctly, but the entire interaction felt like I was inconveniencing him. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no basic customer service beyond what was absolutely necessary to complete the transaction. I don't expect a lengthy conversation, but I do expect a level of professionalism that makes customers feel welcome rather than like an interruption. read more

Went to take my passport photo here and the guy and girl were both rude and laughed at me when I was emotional about not liking the photo. I asked him to retake it and he refused. He printed it when i told him i don't like it several times and then tried to make me pay. I asked him to throw it away and he tried to force me to pay several times so I left. He thoroughly verified documents, guided is where signatures and document names were needed and extended his service even 30 min after 5 PM (5PM the UPS office typically closes on Saturday). To formally report an extremely unprofessional and unpleasant experience I had at your UPS location inside the Marriott on March 8 at approximately 12:06 PM. I arrived in a green Toyota Tacoma to drop off seven boxes of bar soap from our hotel, which we are recycling and shipping. I am by myself, no other people in the truck with me. Upon my arrival, the employee on duty--a woman with glasses, medium build, brown skin, and whose name may be Kyona--immediately gave me an unfriendly, dismissive look as I parked in the loading zone. As I carried one box inside and asked where to place it, she pointed rudely and said, "There," in a dismissive tone. I continued bringing in the remaining boxes when she handed me a dolly and asked how many more I had. I informed her there were about five or six left. As I loaded the dolly by myself, I found it difficult to maneuver due to the combined weight of the boxes. To make it easier, I opted to carry two additional boxes separately. She then condescendingly asked why I wasn't using the dolly. I explained that it was too difficult to move with all the boxes loaded at once. As I finally managed to bring everything inside, she instructed me to wait outside and not block the exit, which I understood and complied with. However, I observed that she continued to be rude and dismissive to other customers, refusing to assist with even small packages. When it was finally my turn, she complained about the weight of the boxes, saying she couldn't move them and that neither could the pickup personnel. I found this highly unprofessional, as handling packages is a core responsibility of her position. She then asked me how many boxes there were. I responded that I was unsure, as I assumed it was also part of her job to verify and count them. She then handed me my receipt in an unprofessional manner. When I asked for her name, she rudely responded, "Why?! Why?!" instead of simply providing the information. At that point, I decided to leave rather than escalate the situation further. However, upon returning to my workplace, where I serve as a supervisor, I was shocked to learn that this same employee was calling my hotel to complain about me. She falsely claimed that a "housekeeper" had dropped off "unmovable" boxes, arrived in a black SUV with two men who did not assist, and that she had no idea what my "plan" was. Her call was not only unnecessary but also inaccurate, as I had transported and moved these boxes entirely by myself. If a single person--myself, at 5'7" and 159 pounds--could manage to move all seven boxes, I find it absurd that she insisted they were impossible for her to handle. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had at a UPS location. I find it especially ironic that a sign at the front claims this store has "Forbes #1 Customer Service." The behavior of this employee was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable for a company that prides itself on customer service. If this is the level of service being provided, I strongly urge management to address this issue. read more

Easy drop off & pick up spot for UPS orders! There was no waiting the 2 times I've been here. First time was to pick up a package I requested be delivered there. Second time, I was returning a pair of shoes that didn't fit through the "Happy Returns" process. Super easy and convenient!! read more

Quick in and out. Super small location (literally only two customers can fit) but very efficient! It is in the hotel structure/ lot but follow the signs that direct you to UPS. Parking is free if you leave before 30 minutes. There are clear parking spots designated for UPS customers once you are near the building. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes for a packaged w label and one without. The ladies there were helpful. Definitely will come back again. read more

I had many orders to process, but he remained unphased and helped me navigate the company needs to complete my transactions. I come to this location occasionally to drop off Amazon returns. It's small but not much foot traffic when I've gone which is great for me! There's an Asian guy there most the times I've gone and his attitude is horrendous that it's hilarious but also very sad lol ^^; ... the moment you step in, he immediately gives the vibe that you are inconveniencing him. Without fail, he talks to me like I'm beneath him and adds passive aggressive comments throughout the 2min max visit that kind of throws me off as I'm just trying to quickly and peacefully get my errands done. I could go elsewhere but this location is the most convenient for me. It doesn't bother me all that much since I only there for such a short period of time anyway - but if you have to be at ups for awhile for whatever reason or have questions, I'd suggest going elsewhere for assistance if that's something that would bother you. I mean, I wouldn't wanna be near myself either if that was my attitude all the time too :o I've been helped by a girl there a couple times and she's nice - we don't say much but I'm able to drop off my stuff without a weird negative vibe. Anyway, if you're reading this Asian guy, I wish you the best and hope you find a job/hobby that brings you happiness - I've had my fair share of jobs that would affect my well-being/mood so I honestly get it. read more

If you're looking for this place, drive as if you were trying to get to the Mariott hotel then follow the numerous signs posted on the way. We heard from quite a few people that were lining up behind that they couldn't find it. There were A LOT of signs pointing the way...like every 20 feet culminating in designated parking spots for UPS customers then sandwich board signs leading right to the door. Right now there are social distancing stickers that start outside the store since it's a very small shop. You shouldn't miss it. The employees were very friendly and attentive. One was serving customers in the small area with the register and another would come out to greet to see what services were needed. The employee that helped me showed a lot of concern over whether my packages were packed well enough to prevent damage which I appreciated. I did notice that they have some other services as well including PO Boxes and basic printing and copying. read more

Location is hard to find and get to first off. Secondly two guys working one younger is pretty clueless about how to locate packages without super specific directions. The older guy is extremely rude and not helpful, I would not recommend sending any packages to be picked up here because they will reject it and send back to shipper with no explanations. And the two ladies (the one with the glasses and the other one with blonde hair) were so kind and helpful with my questions and even helped me with my delivery! As others have noted - this UPS Store is located in the Santa Clara Marriott. While staying at the Marriott for a conference, I found I had accumulated a number of things that would not fit in my already bulging suitcase. So I trotted down to the UPS Store, got a box, went back to my room, and packed all of the recently accumulated stuff, plus my dirty clothes, and shipped it off to myself at home - before we departed for the next leg of our trip. First, let me be clear that the staff are friendly and do good work. The location within the hotel can be a bit confusing, but follow the road + signs to the right of the hotel entrance to get to the closest parking spots. I'm giving a 3-star rating because I've learned that the shipping estimator at ups.com can be very inaccurate because as franchises, UPS Store shipping charges can vary from website estimates. That was my experience here and I paid more than the estimate despite entering accurate info and even checking a slightly larger/heavier estimate just to get what I thought was the upper bound for the cost. I specifically came to the UPS Store because of the lower estimated shipping cost than competing services, and didn't have time to go to another location. Had I known, I would have gone to FedEx instead. Sadly, I've provided this feedback to UPS but the responses I've gotten have been unhelpful and show no acknowledgement of this situation being confusing at best, or misleading at worst. I think UPS should either make their web estimator accurate for specific UPS Stores, or prominently inform customers that actual shipping costs can vary significantly from the website estimate. read more

Pros: -Quick in & out in under 5 mins. -The manager allowed me to pay for the shipping label the next day when there were issues with our company credit card and still shipped our package. Cons: -Staff -Store can be hard to find for first-timers. It's located inside the Marriott. -90% of the time the parking gate to exit is broken and you have to call and wait for Marriott security to open it. Long overdue review, but the negative comments about their customer service are true. I went to this location 5 days /week for the last 6 months because work required me to drive to this specific UPS. I managed a COVID testing site and needed to ship patient samples to the lab, but our company didn't allow us to purchase a printer. So I had to print and pay for shipping labels at this UPS. It made no sense financially to keep paying for shipping labels instead of approving the purchase of a printer, but it was charged on the company card so it wasn't at my expense. Not the friendliest crew. Some days the staff would say hello, but most of the time they didn't acknowledge me back after I greeted them. I used to go to this location years ago but stopped because I didn't like the attitude of one of the workers. Always made me feel unwelcomed which made it uncomfortable to go there. This year was my first time coming back since, again not my choice, and nothing has changed. Still, the same employee/now manager works there and is still unfriendly as before. I never understood the hostility of the staff considering I was a frequent customer; most of the time there wasn't a line when I arrived, and I always thanked the staff after each visit despite how awkward it was. Although I didn't experience issues with my packages reaching their destination, I wouldn't recommend going to this location. I gave it 2 stars because this review is the culmination of the 6 months I went here, in addition to my experience years prior because it's the same manager and the same issue. Unless you're visiting from out of town and staying at the Marriott and it's a one-time stop, you're better off supporting other UPS stores. read more

Always an easy and awesome experience going to this UPS Store. I had some documents to be notarized and this location is the best place to go! I've been coming here for years and the owner Jason is always working!! Today, on a Saturday, I was out of the store within 10-15 minutes. People came in to do drop offs or send mail out. I have always had nothing but superb service here. Even when there are conventions going on and it can get quite busy, he is super fast and very efficient with his work. I try my best to support local businesses in my community and with the struggles with our economy and not many conventions going on in Santa Clara, his business is struggling like others. Please support his business!! Jason is such a great guy and we also had great conversation. I've been to other UPS Stores around my area and had the best service at Jason's store. The UPS store is nestled on the side of the Marriott hotel, but was fairly easy to get to as there are many signs pointing to the UPS store. I've been going to this location for over a year now as it is easy to get to, plenty of parking, usually no more than 2 to no people in line, and staff is friendly. There are always the same two guys when I come and they have been very helpful, fast and efficient. If there is a long line, they will multi task to get to all customers in a timely manner. read more

I hate to give this store 3 stars, but there's this one guy who works there who just ruins it for ALL the others! He delivers the worst customer service! NOT friendly, NOT welcoming, totally just business for him. It's almost as if he hates his job and just does it to pay the bills. I don't get why people do that! If not for the convenient location to my house (just nomore than 10minutes away), I would avoid this UPS store altogether, but these days, I try to save on gas! Everytime I turn to enter the door from the parking lot, I'm always wondering if he'll be there and when he is, it's like UGH....just get it done and get outta there! This UPS is located in the Santa Clara Marriott. Its hard to find, as you have to enter the paid parking lot for the hotel, then loop around to the back of the building. The store is in a tiny room next to a service entrance to the hotel, so there are random hotel supplies outside all the time. I wouldnt say this is the best place to ship ever, but I appreciate the hours, and ive never encountered an indifferent employee here. they have several evening pick-ups, so if you miss the 5 pm deadline of most places, you can still get ground shipments off and get them to most places in california by the next morning. theyre not usually busy either. for purely personal reasons, I prefer the UPS store in the santa clara convention center, because the woman who works there has helped me avoid a huge bill and a pesky entanglement with the Indian post office customs agency, which is quite a bureaucracy, let me tell you. The UPS store does not provide validated parking, but the Marriott parking system doesnt charge you for the first 15 minutes, and its never taken me that long to conduct my business here. if you do take longer than that, they have a parking structure operator, and you can harass him on the intercom, and he will buzz you through. read more
