Such an awful experience at this Postal Annex location. I've had good experiences at other locations, but this one was a complete nightmare. I stopped in to drop off a few return packages since it was conveniently on my way home -- big mistake. Chuck (who I believe is the owner) didn't scan any of my packages, which was immediately suspicious. When I questioned it, he said they don't scan these kinds of packages... yet he ended up scanning the FedEx one but not the USPS one. When I asked for a receipt, he refused and said, "We don't do that here." I had never heard of a shipping place that didn't offer drop-off receipts. I was caught off guard and honestly should've asked for my packages back right then, but I was a bit shocked. I turned right back around and came back to retrieve them and he said no because once packages are "past the counter," he couldn't return them and they're already all mixed up. I pointed out that he didn't even scan my packages.. and I could clearly see one of my packages. I even offered to match my ID, but he refused and was incredibly rude about it. I should've read the reviews before stopping by this location.. that's on me. But now I'm so worried my packages will get lost or never make it to their destination. This is a ridiculous way to run a shipping business. I will never come here again and will absolutely be warning others to stay far away. read more

Do not bring your fedex returns here! I was trying to support a local business but not with the attitude of the guy working there. When I entered the store there was no one inside and he walked in from outside. I took my fedex packages since it said online they accept fedex and I asked if he could provide a receipt since the return was due today. Without saying anything, he brought back the boxes and put them on the table. When I asked what he was doing, he said that they don't provide receipts and gestured for me to take my packages back. Was dropping off some returns. Since it included a 5k monitor, I wanted to make sure the vendor gets it. I asked for a receipt. This was just another Tuesday. I expected no drama. To my surprise, Chuck, the owner, informed me they don't provide receipts. When I mentioned that I've always received receipts at other Postal Annex locations, he abruptly pushed my packages back and told me to take them to the other Postal Annex locations then. I've been a loyal Postal Annex mailbox customer for years at a different location, and have dropped off packages at half a dozen PA locations across the Bay Area, including this one. In fact, this location used to give receipts--just not from Chuck, it seems. Following Chuck's advice, I went to another Postal Annex, where the owner happily gave me receipts for all my packages and was shocked by what had happened at Chuck's store. He even apologized on Chuck's behalf. Chuck's location should be banned from the Postal Annex franchise. Went into ship a small package with a UPS shipping label today. I intended to buy an overpriced shipping bag. His payment console has an Apple Pay/Google pay logo sticker on it. There is no communication anywhere in the store that they accept only cash for certain purchases. When I went to pay with my phone, he rudely stated that this purchase was cash only and that I was "wasting time and resources." Went there to drop off a Fedex package that I'd already put a label on. I put the package on the counter and asked for a receipt. I've been burned before after declining a receipt and then the package got lost. The guy tells me he doesn't give receipts, so then I grabbed my phone and asked if he minded taking a pic with the package? And, as I age, I TOTALLY understand how people can SEEM abrupt, but are actually just trying to get everything done. Making a joke, after a very long day, is what I call REALLY TALKING to your customers, and not just treating EVERYONE as if they were a nameless entity! When you have a line of customers in your store, NO ONE has the time to "coddle" people on the phone, as if they were a five year old! I've talked with Chuck, even about politics (but AFTER his business hours), and though we may not agree (as two INDIVIDUALS might not), he cares enough to talk to you AS AN INDIVIDUAL, and not just another "nameless person", falling back onto corporate-dictated "everyone is the same" attitude! When I go to large chain stores that have this "corporate talk", it's PAINFULLY OBVIOUS that they are told to say the same thing to EVERYONE! To me, that is NOT REAL customer service! It's just "robots", told to repeat the SAME THING to EVERYONE. I have gone there with a long beard, or with a mask, or any number of looks, and I'm ALWAYS greeted by name (from ALL his family)! I walked into this Postal Annex and the older gentleman calmly helped me through the picture-taking and packing the paperwork to expedite my documents to mail. Chuck refused to do it over and insisted that the county of San Francisco is wrong. He went on to show me an example of a notarized form that he clearly filled out himself that was from about 10 years. Since he refused to do it over I asked for a refund and he refused that as well. Needless to say I am currently filling out a complaint form to the Secretary of State to report him. He cannot get away with this and cannot be filling out notary forms incorrectly. They made me cry. People working there are very mean! Nasty service. I had to drop a package today and found this location. The young men who behind counter told me I need tape the return label myself, I asked if he could help me with it, he said ok and put out the clear tape bag ready to help me, I ask if there's receipt he said no, I paused for two seconds, he immediately tossed the clear bag and told me to tape myself. Clearly I don't have a tape as I expected the certified FedEx center who claim to help pack and shipped would do for you. So I bag the person to help me again, he told $2.5 to tape the label which I am ok with it, he saw me pull out the credit card and told me cash only as he just want give me hard time, I said ok. But I was upset at that moment, I asked why he acting so mean, the older guy took over and told me they don't have time to serve me, I left with tears. This shop will provide you a B&W copy for $1, which is an extortionate price at twice what FedEx charges, but this shop is near the DMV and spending the $1 is better than driving to the office and back when your time matters. read more

It is tucked away inside the older mall and you will see it on the left when you are facing the large Korean grocery store at the back of the shopping center. They stock a very wide assortment of shipping boxes and packing supplies. I perused the store and sure enough I found exactly what I needed! The store owner 'Chuck' was extremely helpful and very pleasant to work with providing me with excellent customer service! I would highly recommend you give 'Chuck' and Postal Annex+ a try. After trying to confirm if he can't or won't give a receipt, he said thank you and tried to hang up. So I said, the answer is you can give a receipt but you won't! They stole from a 94 year old WWII Vet who I offered to help and return the package for him. Returned our U-Haul, was told a dent on the back was new (we hit NOTHING). Owner checked it out to us before without doing a checklist, thought nothing of it until we were accused of denting the van. Underneath the dent there was rusted metal so it had clearly been there for awhile. Owner could provide zero photos of the van before, told me the collision waver I purchased didn't cover anything and charged $150 to my credit card without informing me beforehand. Absolute scam.
