I went into the store today and had a great experience after being helped by a younger man who is tall with curly hair. I was dropping off a package that needed to be picked up at the location. He made sure that I had the best shipping possible and was extremely efficient and had great customer service. Additionally, I was charged two dollars for computer time even though I did not use a computer; I simply sent them the prints. This establishment is taking advantage of customers. No one ever wants to go to the UPS store. A trip here is an errand, which is by definition a pain in the ass. I had to go last week to make a return that I could've made weeks ago, but refused to do until the last possible minute, when I started fearing I'd be stuck with trail pants and two pairs of Tevas in the wrong size. I headed to the UPS store on Larchmont--the closest location to my house--as late as I could get away with, just before 6PM on a weekday. There was an open green meter in front of the store, and I parked in front of it then got out of my car holding my purse, a shoebox, a loose pair of shoes, a pair of pants, and, for some reason, a 600-page hardcover book I was reading. The meter had been green when I parked, but was now red, and since it was still before 6, I had to put in a quarter to park for my errand. I was trying to look for a quarter in my wallet, which was in a pouch in my purse, when a man called over and asked if I was there for the UPS store. When I said that I was, he told me there was free 20-minute parking in the little garage right in front of me, and also, was I planning to mail the stuff in my hands? Because the truck was about to leave for the day, and he could take it and start prepping my package so it made it out on time for that shipment. He came over and relieved me of my burden, and I parked in the garage and met him inside. I'm not going to describe the UPS store, which looked like every other UPS store I've ever been in. I'm only yelping this one because seriously, what on earth was with this amazing customer service? This dude was so nice, and efficient to boot. He was pretty much done packing my stuff by the time I walked into the store. All I had to do was pay. I still hope to avoid shipping errands to the best of my ability, but am at least glad to have a go-to UPS store where I might be surprised with efficiency and kindness. read more

The review has been revised to 4 stars, with appreciation to the owner for taking the time and responsibility. --original content-- I occasionally visited the UPS store in Larchmont Village, each previous time has been pleasant and orderly. It was 12/19 1:40pm, I was 3rd down the line to the counter, having a prepaid label just need the express mail envelop, trying to get a legal document out, which was scheduled to be delivered to Canada 12/21. A guy in UPS uniform was heading out with all the packages so I walked next to the counter, still keeping 6 feet away from anyone, having two masks on, asked the young lady for help that I just need the express mail envelop so that it can go with the guy. The guy was looking between her and me for instructions, then the lady told me that the guy is not for international mail so I returned to my 3rd position and waited another 10min to counter, and, she found out the guy was indeed the last call for the day and apologized. The receipt I got has a 1:53pm time stamp so I thought the store or UPS is going to mail it out since it's before the 2pm cutoff, regardless of the young lady's prior actions. However it never happened. The mail wasn't scanned until 12/21 5:50pm. I ended up with the deadline for the legal document expired and it's still in transit as of 12/29, because the law firm went on vacation 12/23. Originally I was going to rate it 1 star because if someone had verified the schedule for that day this would not have happened, nor did the UPS guy came back for the legal documents, disregard the misinformation the envelop still time stamped before 2pm cutoff. However, it's difficult times for everyone and apparently she was a bit on edge, and I cannot rate the experience on or above 3 stars, so 2 stars. read more

The staff at this UPS store was very helpful and friendly. They helped me with a live Scan. It cost $77. $50 for state fees and $27 service charge for the process. I had to get my fingers scanned a second time around because the organization rejected my first submission. Street meter parking. It's a little difficult around Larchmont, but sometimes you get lucky. read more

Worst experience ever . First they said they don't have my package , then when i repeatedly asked for it and to please look for it they finally found it . Then they asked me for $5 pay each package which they didn't tell me or inform me when I called although I asked beforehand if there is any cost . Said I wouldn't come back after my last experience, but needed to get something notarized & sent ASAP & since this is the closest store, I went. No big surprise here but it was an awful experience just like last time. The guy working who has a very very thick accent says I can't get it notarized because they don't have the person who does the notary there. I ask when they will be back - he says something I can't understand so I ask again, but slightly differently to not be rude - so is it okay to come tomorrow & he kinda smirks & goes "like I said before, no" & can't understand the rest. From the next little bit I do get he says they don't know when someone will be able to notarize documents & might be a week but they don't know. Here's the thing: as an ex New Yorker who is now in LA, I'm no stranger to accents. I have no problem with them, who on this earth would? I do not expect anyone to speak the way I do. My issue though is when someone makes it seem like you're an idiot because you can't understand them. Especially when one person is trying to not be an ahole & be polite when encountering difficulties with different accents. I hate it when "muricans" do it to those who don't have perfect English, & I also hate it when the situation is reversed. This on top of not having a basic service you are supposed to provide & being like "idk" when asked when it's gonna be available again while also combined with my past experience here - I will never come here again. Internet is horrible inside, I wanted to print off a shipping label from Amazon. I couldn't even get it to work with their email. They wouldn't let me use their computer that says you can use starting rate of $2, which I wouldn't have minded paying because I just needed these labels. After 3 attempts to send it to their email, I decided to go elsewhere. Also, I went here 4 months ago to get something copied, and I couldn't use their computer to print if it involved going into my email address. The guy working said that it won't be able to log out. Probably my favorite UPS store in the country for how pain-free and easy it is to deal with them. They have helped me ship everything from guitars, to camera equipment, and have gone above and beyond in making sure everything was secure. I recently went in last minute for a printing job, and they waited for me even though I was late, and helped me print and ship right before they closed. I see all sorts of attitudes and entitled A-holes that come in to get things shipped and treat the store employees like they are personal assistants. Every negative review I have read is because people came unprepared, or they are expecting unreasonable things. A UPS store isn't here to solve your life issues or to make up for your irresponsible life decisions. If I was turned away because I came too late to closing time and they had to turn me away, I would have to accept that. Luckily, I have always been friendly because I have always been treated with respect here, and I live in the neighborhood, so they have taken care of me even if I arrived right before they closed (which I try not to).
