I hardly ever leave reviews, but I'm going out of my way for this one. I originally wanted to describe how rude the gentleman "helping" me was. Despite being the only customer in the room, he treated me like I was bothering him, and he barely acknowledged me as I thanked him for his help with getting my business filings notarized. He seemed to rush me out the door as other customers shuffled in behind me, but I had gotten what I needed so I decided to let it go. Until today. You see, my filings were rejected specifically because the name he wrote in the notary section did not match the printed name on the filings themselves. This is my first time filing for a business; presumably he does this regularly. I am now paying for rush delivery after spending an additional $60 dollars at a competent notary, who laughed after I told her why my original filings were rejected ("He did WHAT?"). I am crossing my fingers that my corrected filings will be delivered in time and his mistake will not cost me *more* money should I have to refile them. I now plan on taking my new business to such heights that I will be buying the building his business is located in and becoming his landlord. read more

Went here for live scan fingerprinting service on the recommendation of a family member, and the customer service was great. Jason was fast and friendly. Appreciated him sanitizing my ID and credit card, a nice touch in these times and shows they take safety seriously here. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely use regularly. Went in to mail off a large package. Customer service was almost non existent. This was my first time there so I did not know what to do. Guy at front counter had my stand around with my large package until I asked for help. And then once I was done, he had me put my package in the mail off area myself. When I walked out, I realized he never gave me a receipt of tracking #. I went back in to get asking very nicely for it. The guy acted as though this was a huge inconvenience. Eventually I got my receipt and went on my way, but due to the customer service I would not recommend this place unless you were in a pinch and this was the closest place to you. read more

Came here a few days ago and I walked away upset. 1. Parking sucks devil balls! I entered the parking lot on one end behind another vehicle; waiting to park. When the car in front of me parked another parking space became available. While I was getting ready to park, there was another asshole driver in the other side who felt so entitled claiming that spot. He stated he was waiting first and that was a lie. I saw he had entered a little after the other vehicle parked. 2. I walked into Mail Call and the dude was on his computer. I asked him if there were computers available and he quickly point out the computers. He did this in a manner as if he had something better to do. He did not tell what I had to do or what to click on. I tried to start small talk and he ignored me. A little later he rudely called me over and like the little prick he was told me to sign out. But I had no idea because he failed to explain to me what I needed to do. 3. As he was doing my fingerprint, I went on to yelp to read all the comments about how shitty this place was. Dude noticed and his whole demeanor changed. He was suddenly polite and telling me to have a great day. Like how can I when you just gave me shitty service. 4. On my way out, I noticed 2 cars parked in the middle of an already tiny parking lot. I mean the parking lot was so tiny that I'm sure had I farted, at least 4 cars around me would've heard it. Maybe smell it too. What I'm trying to say is.... DO. NOT. GO. HERE. If you do, make sure you are walking in reading their yelp reviews, make sure they notice it, and you'll get good service. read more

If you are in the Hollywood / Hancock Park area and need a place to deliver your Ebay items or if you need a PO Box, this is a great new business with easy parking. They offer: mail box rental, Ebay consign, overseas shipping and passport photos. When I would bring items in for ship, they promptly compared UPS, FedEx and DHL pricing for me and they don't tack on extra charges. The best thing is, I'm in and out in a snap! What I love about independent "mom and pop" places like this is the service. They smile, they care, and they are really organized. Forget Office Depot or Staples. If you are within 10 minutes of Vine and Melrose, this is your place, and I can almost guarantee they will greet you with a smile. read more

I have to say that I had a very negative experience at this business today. I came in for livescan finger printing, based on positive yelp reviews. There were problems getting a proper scan. Jason was brusque and at a certain point told me "you have to take care of your hands" -- implying that it was not just my age (which is indeed a factor) but was my lack of self-care that caused the problems with the procedure. Making a judgment on how a client does or does not manage self-care is humiliating and completely unhelpful in this kind of situation. Excellent customer service! I didn't use any of their services or even buy anything but I still got awesome customer service. I was a few blocks away on my computer having trouble with my FedEx shipping account. Looking for help I walked in and told Jason about my issues. He logged on to my account and went through the process with me to make sure it was working properly. Then i brought in my laptop and he went through the process with me again using his WiFi connection. Turns out it was an oversight on my part. I was thoroughly impressed with his level of customer service. He gave me a few tips that ended up saving me time and money while shipping through my own account. Helping me didn't provide an immediate benefit to his business yet he still took the time to help. Don't see this too often in LA. Jason took over the business from Angie a while back. While I miss the original owner because she was so sweet, Jason is also pretty awesome! Excellent and efficient customer service. He is always helpful, understanding and polite. He remembers your name and is always willing to help you ship things in a secure way. We love having a mailbox here because Jason makes our lives easier. We always get a convenient email when a package has arrived, so we know when to stop by. I recently had an over-sized shipment sent to the store and he hung onto it for a few days while I was out of town even though it took up a lot of space. He was even helpful with assisting me in disposing of the packing material. Jason was very patient with us needing to take two trips to get the furniture out of there. He's always willing to provide a box cutter or some scissors or help you pack your items securely. Their prices are on point with other places, plus they offer lots of cool packaging material for presents. They even have some cute over-sized cards, candles and adorable little gift items. So, whether I am buying one stamp or shipping Christmas gifts across country, I'd rather go to Jason than stand in line at an unfriendly post office. I'll be in and out in 5 minutes or be wasting 45 at the latter. I just wish they had longer hours, but I completely understanding needing a life outside of your business. Only downside is the parking lot gets cramped and street parking is restricted around here. It's also hard to get out on the Melrose side during rush hour, so I try to exit on the Cahuenga side. read more

I have been here a handful of times. I had to ship a box to Texas. It was late afternoon and Jason gave me the rundown on what company would be able to take my package that day at the time I was in the store. He sent it to the post office. He boxed up my items quickly. Jason emailed me a tracking number for the post office around 6p. I was shocked I would get an email so quickly. He runs a good service at Mail Call. They do not give you a receipt when you drop off a shipment. His explanation was "We can't print a receipt for DHL". This is ludacris to me, as I always makes sure to get a drop-off receipt everywhere else I go and have successfully been given one. He could lose the package and there would be no paper trail that he ever even had it! read more
