You can get your passport photo taken here! Plenty of businesses including the post office, fedex, and ups have suspended their passport photo services due to Covid 19. This place is excellent, and located next door to the 3rd & Western usps. The employees are kind and generous, as well as fast. This place can be an easy access for mail service or other services for all neighbors in Koreatown. It is a decent place to stop by and drop off your shipment or request for service. Personally, just had bad experience with the provider. Previously, I use their service for notary papers. It was alright, even though I had a thought where they might be overcharging. I tried my best to understand with their service and cost. Guess what... I came back for their shipping service (label paid but box needed). In detail, they charged for "taping labor" and CEO or owner kept his comment towards me for additional charges regarding the shipment. Like really... you would charge customer for taping? It is usually free for taping.... (I purchased for their box as well) Additionally, customer service where CEO or the owner was telling me comments about how label was placed in wrong position and all... They make you work for some reason... I think all these service should be assisted. (Because paying for the business = service). Once again, I am not trying to be rude, but the owner or the CEO was unacceptable. I personally believe it should be handled by the service provider. Leaving uncomfortable comments toward customer and letting customer deal with attaching or placing label for the package? I believe why do I need to take action for services that we are paying for? Also regarding their final transaction, they were slow with shipping confirmation receipt. Once you pay them, they treat you like you are nothing. I am repeating myself but, unnecessary comments and charging for the taping? (Seriously.. they charge taping labor over the limit). Highly suggest to go to professional services near by. Lastly, it is truly not a responsible way to reach out to customers even though shipping box/label were paid. I totally understand that it business owners need to make money and make profit, but simply customer service was whack. Terrible and terrible experience. Hate to repeat myself but had to leave a comment and spread the words. Do not recommend for this place. Highly recommend to go somewhere else. I would never use this service again. Learned my lesson to drive up like 1 mile or plus for better service and check Yelp reviews before I go. read more

I originally planned to mail out a return at the post office next door. Post office tried to charge me $50 because I could only send it priority, that's not working. Luckily I remembered there was a small store next door, I had gotten my passport photo taken here. I'm not sure why this nice little "mom & pop" shipping store gets such mixed reviews. I purchased some boxes here and I have also used their shipping services. I found the customer service to be very good, fast and friendly. MUCH nicer than the Post Office next door. The couple who work there were both courteous and helpful. I stumbled on Mail Plus because I needed boxes to ship some Christmas presents. I started at the Post Office on Western and third but the line was thirty people long and there was only one teller. I did a quick yelp check and realized I could walk next door and get what I needed. What a find! Mail Plus is clean and well organized. Jazz music was playing and they had about a hundred different box options for sale. Definitely my new "go to" box & ship place. read more

I've lived in Koreatown for about seven years now and have seen my fair share of rude business owners. This place takes the cake. The man who is there to help customers acts like someone has pissed in his Cheerios every single time I've there. They say they are a UPS drop off spot and get UPSET that you take your UPS package to them Like, what?!? If you don't want this business don't advertise it. I didn't get the name of the helpful & efficient Korean man who assisted me, but I highly recommend this place for all your shipping needs. I had four 10 lb boxes that I was going to ship via FedEx. That was going to cost $150 with signature required. He told me that if we taped 2 boxes together, it would be cheaper. Luckily, there were no other customers in the store, so he did all of the taping. He saved me $50!! After that, I brought in a box of 20 things that all needed different size envelopes & boxes, plus the shipping labels needed to be taped. He guided me in choosing the right size packages and also helped me tape them up and attach the labels -- these were all going via the postal office next door, so he was just being helpful. read more

Husband needed 2 passport photos in order to apply for an international drivers license. Originally went on yelp and found a location that had instant photos judging by the reviews. The rest were an hour wait which I don't have the patience for. On our way headed to the grove location, the husband spotted Mail Plus. Sooooo glad we decided to stop and check them out. We were in and out in 5 minutes. Cost $13 for 2 photos. The owner is a man of few words so if you're looking to chat, this ain't the place. I came here to drop off some packages for FedEx. I have an online business so I have a lot of packages. I prefer to take my buissness local so I went here. Little did I know the man at the counter would be so rude! He was on the phone the whole time! There was a spot in my package that had a small hole. I asked if he could tape it for me. The regular FedEx store does this for me all the time if something is not secure. The man did not reply and continued his conversation. I asked again and he shouted yes and then shooed me away! I mean in a literal sence. He waved his hand in a get out of here motion!! How disrespectful!! I am your customer giving you business. I can't believe the disrespect! I am not a child bothering you. I recently sent a package to my mom overseas and I was worried because it was a fragile item. But today I received a call from her saying how well it was packaged and that the item was not damaged at all. It was absolutely worth it to pay an extra fee for the packaging service!! Its my 2nd year leasing yearly a mailbox and have received packages in different sizes with no problems. Last week i was in line to receive a package and for some odd reason the owner took care of a Korean client who just walked in before me, which I thought was rude. But what do we expect, this is Koreatown. Thats another issue so I am not going to get into it. When the owner decided to help me, he hand me the package and informs me that I owe him $1.00. I asked since when? I asked him if he had a copy of the contract but he didnt. I informed him that no one has ever informed me verbally nor in writing about paying for packages received. Also informed him that since this is not on the written contract he cannot just add fees just like that. He said well this is since the beginning of the year. I told him its outrageous and will be my last year with them. Yes they are cheap but the owner is very rude and does not run his business in a proper way. Unfortunately, he cannot force me to pay. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Honestly so unprofessional!!!! Before arriving, I asked if I could get a return slip printed out for my amazon return. I waited in line for 20 minutes and when I got to the front the owner precedes to yell at me telling me to move my return items off the counter. He then complains that I am making him print my return label. He proceeds to get me out of line and tells me to wait while he takes other customers. I wait another 15 min & to top it off he was so rude about me using his packaging tape to tape up my boxes. You're a shipping and mailing business for crying out loud! Obviously these are normal day to day things a customer would use pertaining to your business. Bottom line, he cares about the bare minimum & treats you like shit. Owner is racist for sure. He spoke and was extremely pleasant to the person and told them to have a nice day. When it was my turn he said nothing and threw my receipt on the counter. I've been mailing packages for years to my children in college and abroad--and everything has reached its destination perfectly. The husband, in his neat vests and perfect hair, is always helpful and personable. He takes great pride in the business, yet is always directing me to the cheapest way to send things!
