Bad customer service. Perhaps it was that the young man who was working there; did not want to be helping customers. From the first moment he was rude to me. Due to recent surgery, I was told not to pick up anything heavy. The box was only 16 pounds, but I did not want to risk injury. I had help getting the box into the store, and put on the closest counter. When I asked if he could pick it up for me, he acted annoyed. Not a good beginning. Now this is a young man probably in his 20s, and I am kapuna. When packaging the box, I ran out of packaging tape, and completed it with electrical tape. I only needed 1 more piece of tape. So, then he said, I have to charge you $2 for 1 piece of tape. I said never mind, and was going to leave the store, but another worker took over and put the 1 piece of tape on the box. I dread returning anything to this UPS store. There has never been a return that is simple or without some type of problem. Most of the time I have to return I have to return one to two more times after my initial visit. I called Amazon recently to put in a complaint. I asked them if there's anyway to know before making a purchase that if I return it...that it will be UPS.. I have to use. They said they don't have that information prior to purchase. If I have a problem again with my next returns I am calling Amazon again to complain about this location. The staff at this location is unfriendly and generally not helpful and always make it a difficult process. I think they are unhappy to deal with Amazon returns in general. The staff there is unfriendly and generally not helpful. I returned a Amazon item - took me 3 tries but they finally took it. First the box wasn't good enough - $13.95 for a shipping box. Next time- don't tape the box. Took it back to repack it. Third time - you were supposed to tape it. $1 more for a piece of tape. It's like every time I went they made it more difficult. I think they don't want to accept Amazon returns. But they don't realize that I have a small business and usually ship through them and buy my supplies. May have to rethink this. read more

I received a message that my package was delivered at the ups store. I got and get it and the lady said my package is not here and I need to wait up to 2 days. I was confused because that never happened before. I checked and it said my package was received by Nicole. So I came back and another employee talked to me. So I showed the proof and he said my package is there but they have not processed yet. I need to come back later. I was looking at my package and he could not scan it and give it to me. ( they have done that in the past) Are you kidding me‍. Very frustrated because it's had for me to make the time and come back. Please beware of using this location for mail box rental services. I recently relocated to Kailua in November from the Mainland. I rented a mail box from this location online. However, please note that once you forward your mail to this location, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FORWARD IT TO A NEW ADDRESS. This is because the US Postal Service does not recognize the address as a rental unit. Therefore, all my mail is being returned to sender and I have not been able to forward my mail to my new address. Please note, that the store will not tell you this prior to signing up. And after notifying them of this, the clerk said, Oh you were supposed to tell USPS that it was a temporary forwarding. This was not disclosed. Also, when I terminated service, I notified them twice in person and I was told I had to notify all my senders of my new address manually. However, when I made a complaint, I was told they could have worked with the USPS to forward my mail. Please do not use this store. Rent from the US Postal Service. Save yourself the drama and the poor customer service. This store has several rude and untrained clerks. I mailed many of my boxes via US Postal Service third class and was not expecting the boxes to arrive for a month. They arrived the day I was scheduled to fly into Hawaii. I received a rude call from the store asking when I was going to pick them up. And when I did go and pick them up, I was reminded again and I actually said, am I paying for my things to be delivered to this store. Is this a problem for you? They were really rude. So please save yourself the poor customer service and find another way to receive your mail. When I made a complaint to the manager, I was told she had to go pick up her kids and could not talk to me. When I called the owner, he made excuses. Please beware - do not let this happen to you! Phenomenal customer service by Nicole and her team today, 11/17/23 during the 12 - 1 pm hour!! (I waited in the store while they laminated my papers, so I had the opportunity to observe how they work.) They are a team who support each other and they are alert to what is going on so much that they jump in to assist each other. They are knowledgeable and friendly. i've been coming to the store for years. It's conveniently located and I wish I would have a better experience with the customer service. I spend hundreds of dollars here doing mailings yet I always feel as if I'm an inconvenience. They don't smile. They seem irritated and annoyed by customers. I wanted to support them but now that there's a return at Whole Foods... I will probably go there and drive to Kaneohe to FedEx instead. read more

I hate coming here because it always feels like you are annoying the staff and causing the workers a headache just by showing up. I can't tell you how many times I've seen them be rude to other customers while I'm standing in line. I just want to get in and get out. Went to drop off an Amazon return for my elderly mother in law. Everything was intact. The only thing was that it wasn't taped. Sister in the front informed us the box is supposed to be "customer packed". You seriously couldn't spare one piece of tape? Of course I was with my impatient husband and he ended up purchasing a ridiculously overpriced roll of tape and gave them business they don't deserve. *Caution* when returning an Amazon purchase. Amazon says no box or label needed. This store charges for taping a box I didn't even have to bring? This is the third time they found something to charge for from me. So box your returns and tape the boxes yourself and if your item needs a battery warning print at least 4 and color them in red, tape them on or you'll be charged for that also. I called Amazon and they confirmed that they can charge $2 which I then recommended be listed on Amazon's website. Time to use Whole Foods instead. read more

Warning. This store has a stated policy that customer service reps in the store NOT wear masks. They are likely the only store in Kailua that services customers not to consider the safety of their patrons. Plus, we paid for 2nd day air, and the packaged was not delivered until 7 days later. The package did arrive on the second day to UPS facility in the destination location but their truck was late to pickup. An online support agent with UPS stated that a refund was warranted but that I needed to go to the UPS store where the order was placed. I did and they refused to gives us a refund, stating that they do not guaranteed 2 day air. Why then should people pay for what is advertised as 2 day air if the product may or may not arrive during their advertised service, especially when they offer lower shipping cost alternatives? We believe this false advertising, breakage of a customer agreement, and poor business practices. read more

Today Jailyn or Jaidyn (Caucasian young lady with short hair) will be the reason I go else where from now on. Went in a couple times for multiple services that they provide (they provide a lot of useful services). Every time I come in I get greeted by friendly hardworking staff. I can't always say that about their customers however. I do feel bad for them when I see them get mistreated by entitled people that come in, I always try to be extra friendly to make up for it. I recommend James when it comes to shipping. He's fast, accurate, and always provides me with excellent customer service. Amazon returns are always quick and snappy, I read the instructions so everything is fluid when I come in. Only problem I had was with an iphone I tried to return. It had a ground label but the lady at the counter told me it is illegal to ship and that I have to contact the shipper for a 2 day shipping label, which was easy, and I got it going soon after. read more

I went here to get a document notarized and: 1) This place is so easy to find. First right when you get into Kailua, it's right across from Foodland. Parking is tight so I recommend going when there's no real foot traffic. 2) The staff was really nice! They recognized me when I came in a second time for my notarization. 3) The notary process was quick and the person who did my notary (Brenda - Store manager) was incredibly professional. She did the job and rang me up in less than 10 minutes. Would recommend seeing her for your notary needs. 5 clerks - THREE working on ONE customer opening up a mailbox; one standing around; one working with a customer who didn't know what "declared value" was; seven customers waiting outside; me waiting inside; no drop box. 20 minutes later . . . Clerk says he can't accept my box with duck tape. He states it has to "only be clear tape". I ask him "since when" since I've used duct tape before. (Even USPS allows duct tape!) He had no answer and looked at me like a deer in the headlights. I leave with my package. FYI - the UPS website states: "Use strong tape designed for shipping" No where does it say "only clear tape".
