The store is clean and roomy on the inside. They offer P.O. Boxes, notary service as well as the standard service's that UPS stores offer. Absolute RIP OFF! Unfortunately I do not have a printer and an Amazon return required a pre-paid label be printed for return shipping. No problem, right? They would have to print the label anyway, even if I had a barcode for them to scan, so I figured it would be easy enough to ask them to print the label at the store. Well, I thought wrong. Now mind you, I figured worst case I may have to pay a few CENTS for the paper because let's face it, everyone charges for everything these days. But oh no. The greedy owner of this UPS wanted $2.70!!!! For a SINGLE piece of paper that they would have had to print ANYWAY. TWO DOLLARS AND SEVENTY CENTS?!! Are you kidding me? Needless to say, I went to the UPS on 1st Street. They were sane and didn't charge me, so I recommend EVERYONE take your business there. I went to the UPS store to send a fax. I asked the employee for the Wi-Fi password to send it to him. He said the password wasn't working because it took time for the new one to work. At $2.50 per page @ 3 pages yikes! I got in on another business page. After sending the fax I politely asked if I could use the restroom and was informed bathrooms were not for customers. I frown heavily on this since 2 employees were working at the same time and the store only had 2 customers. This place is terrible. I've been here three times and all three times are awful. I came a few weeks ago with an Amazon return and there was no employees inside, three other people came in behind me and the door beeps when it opens. We sat there for about 20 minutes before an employee shows up. I come in today with another Amazon return, wait about 10 minutes. There is three employees there only one was helping customers, one was just screwing around on a computer. The other was just standing around not helping anybody. I didn't have to package up, but I brought the item in it's original box and Amazon says that UPS will package and ship. I've been trying to make an extra effort to support local businesses. I needed to get a package delivered out of state by tomorrow morning, but not prior to gallery opening but prior to the photo shoot, so delivery time was very important. The gal, that was the only person available, appeared extremely put out by any question I asked. When reviewing the accuracy of receiving address on my shipping label, there were multiple errors, including the name of the receiving gallery. I shared where the errors were and she continued to roll her eyes as she attempted to correct her errors, she was unable to correct all of the label errors. After having to go through what should have been a fairly simple process, she informs me that I've NOW created a line for her and I need to step to the side and wait while she takes cares of those waiting. As I move to the side she informs me that her computer is not working and I can't pay or have package sent until she fixes it. I asked her how long that would take and she said she's didn't know. I stood there for a few minutes, then picked up my package and left the store. I drove out of town to a different shipping store, so Gilroy lost my 150. dollar delivery. The Morgan Hill store staffers were kind, helpful, clear in shipping times, weighed and measured my package, and were 100% accurate inputing the label. I won't be going back to your Gilroy store, by your low star rating, seems like a bad experience at the Gilroy UPS is experienced by more than just a few customers. read more

what an expensive, tedious and awful experience. Needed to ship a school device to a family member. Paid all the extra fees etc to get it there safely AND quickly (should have gone to Morgan Hill to Fedex) did everything 'right' and was assured, it will be there no later than wednesday. We watch the tracking and watch and watch, it does not move from the store. We call. Nothing. Finally someone says 'it was forgotten' and gets sent a week later and is now not going to get there for another week. HORRIBLE SERVICE! Just went inside to open a new mailbox. The guy working there was a complete idiot. Didnt know the prices of the mailbox sizes, wasn't sure if the services offered when I had questions about it. Then when asked for 2 forms of Government issued ID, I offered my California drivers license and then I didn't have anything else and all he kept asking for was a passport or military ID. Well I'm not military and I dont usually have my passport on me if I'm not traveling far. I offered my credit cards, bank check, insurance card , everything in my wallet and he sounded annoyed. I asked if there was any other ID I can use or if there was any other way I can open a mailbox and he sarcastically answered "yea I can open one for you and I'll just go ahead and get in trouble". So I said fine , I'll go to the other UPS store nearby. And he said "yeah you do that bye". Total jerk. I see why they had crappy ratings. To print something regardless if you use the computer they charge you $2.50 for "accessing the computer". I sent the item from my phone and still charged me $3 for printing 2 pages. Beware of using this location for your free Amazon returns as they charge you for tape! And if they charged you contact Amazon for a refund. See below I needed to do a return to Amazon and instead of using Kohls, like I normally do, I choose to use the UPS store. I got my return email and code from Amazon, within the Amazon email it said, "UPS will package and ship my item for free, no box needed". So, I took my item to this UPS store in the shipping box it came in but not taped closed. The lady at the counter tried to charge me a tape fee to seal the package! I think taping a package closed is part of the free packaging service!! She then told me to read my email from Amazon that it will say that all items must be closed. I told her that my email said UPS will package and ship for free. She then went on to say that by her taping my item closed it takes up her time and it delays helping other customers. I'm sorry that the owner is so cheap that they can't hire more employees to better service their customers but charging a tape free is wrong. I got home and contacted Amazon and I told them what happened. They gave me a gift card for my inconvenience and said that this UPS store did violates Amazon returns rules: Using a scanned QR code at designated return's locations to make label-free and package-free returns The customer service rep told me if this happens to anyone else to contact Amazon right way! So, if you returned an Amazon package at this location and was charged a tape or other package fees contact amazon and get those fees credited back. Part of the contract UPS signed with Amazon is they will package your items free of charge. If they are losing money on tape, then they need to take that up with Amazon and not the customer. I will not be doing any kind of business with this location going forward. If this store is a representative of the UPS company, no thanks! I will stick with shipping from FedEx and I would not trust this location with anything! read more

I went there to drop off an Amazon return because the Amazon return website stated that a UPS store could package and ship it even without the original box. The owner or Manager said that they might not have the right packaging and didn't want to deal with it as he wasn't going to make any money doing it and if he did he wanted to charge us for doing it as he doesn't do packaging. That is not what the Amazon site said. After some haggling he was able to fit the return item in a box and took the return. We have returned other items through Kohls store and they were very friendly and had no issues at all. I would avoid this place if possible. read more

I've been using the ups store going on 3years. The staff is very friendly and helpful to other costumers as they walk threw the door. As for the CHARGING FOR TAPE... $1 isn't much some codes if not read right do say that packing rates may apply so ready your codes. I used a ups store in San Jose and I forgot to tape my box and was charged 2$ for a piece of tape. So 1$ isn't much.Also,due to the opening up late I noticed a new staff member that is now opening on time are ready to help. If you dislike how this store is run here there are also other options out there. This owner is very kind hearted And just calls it like he sees it. A friend went to UPS store to return ship a package which had arrived by UPS. The item was handicap chair gel battery. The manager of the store refused to take it for shipment back. We had the docs showing it was not a hazardous material. He refused. When we insisted that he must take it back as UPS does ship those. He used foul language and told us UPS does not own this store and started to push us out of office. This big man was intimidating and even came out of store after us and got in my face. We went to this store at 11:30 this morning and were told the notary would not be in until 1:00 pm. So we went home, came back at 1:45 pm and waited in a long line only to be told that they had to go home due to an emergency. This was on Friday Dec. 21st. We, along with the people behind us were told to come back on Monday, Dec. 24th. I pointed to a sign on the wall that said they'd be closed on Monday the 24th, to which the girl said, "Oh ya."
