Last week i came to The Printing Spot with a last minute booklet that I needed printed for our church's Good Friday service. I felt welcomed and encouraged that my project would be done how I had envisioned it. They provided an initial sample for my review and said they could have the project done by the morning. I called and talked to Larry who said he would try to make it work. I was very happy at how easy and stress free the process was. All I did was email him over the pictures I wanted and presto!.. I get a call even earlier than the estimated completion time! I knocked off half a star just because the quality and resolution of the pictures did not come out as clear as I had hoped. Larry however did offer to appease this issue by redoing the prints in another method. I really appreciated this. I have used the service of the Printing Spot, for over 15 years. I used to prepare the advertising mailings for my mom when she owned the Stretch and Sew Fabric Store. Both Larry and Dena became friends with me and always got my projects out in a timely manner. Since that time the store has closed and we all have retired from our careers. Today I brought in a colored flyer for the SeniorCenter Gift shop, I needed 50 copies and the staff copied and printed out a absolutely beautiful handout. I am a fan of this place, there has never been something I've come to print that they haven't been able to do for me. I have to print out different things for my design classes, and I usually bring in illustrator files which usually don't work at staples or Kinko's. But here there is no issue with them, they can open them just fine and print from them. I've gotten things printed on recycled stock which had a tan tint that I was looking for, as well as on crack back sticker paper. The staff here is always friendly and they have me look things over to make sure it's all set how I want before they print it out. I have never felt like I paid some egregious amount which I have felt like at some printing places. One thing I would suggest is that you set up your artwork to save as much paper as you can if possible because they print it out how you have it set up. I could have saved myself a little paper if I had set up my artwork better but that's on me. Overall the friendly staff and reasonable prices are good with me, they also have a giant photo printer which I have yet to use but it looks cool to see when you walk in the door. read more

What a great place! I needed a few DVDs copied of a wedding, Family movies and a Family memorial that I had only one copy left of each left. I called a local Drug store chain in that area and was told they may or may not be able to make copies of them and if they did, it would be $8.00 to $12.00 per copy. The employee there suggested I call The Printing Spot on 1st St. I took my DVDs there what a wonderful, professional staff and gave the price for each copy and was told they could do them and they would be ready the next day. They said it was a learning curve for them, but I had had other work done by them and trusted them to do the job for me. The Printing Shop is awesome. I had one day to get 250 cards printed, and they came through. I had a basic idea and they ran with it and made it better than I could have imagined. Margene, and the rest of the staff, were more than helpful. I wasn't able to get one of the pictures to them until after 11am and yet they were able to complete all 250 cards (5×7 printing on both sides) before 4pm. I had a great experience with this establishment. I was going to order a poster for my dad's birthday through CVS. It was 12.99 plus a fee and they messed up my order so it would've been ready a week after I needed it. So, I cancelled my order and decided to go local. BEST DECISION. The quality of their service and products is EXCELLENT albeit it comes at a steep price if you're accustomed to generic/standard places like Staples or Office Max. I would give more stars but their customer service is hit-or-miss. The Asian family that works here is usually very nice and attentive, but their Caucasian female employee can be very indifferent, bordering on cold. The worst part is that I notice she's very nice to their "regular" customers or people she knows personally but to everyone else she's pretty dry, it's hard to get a smile out of her. If you're going to be nice to one customer, you should probably be nice to ALL of them. I might not be a regular customer, spending as much money as another or someone you know, but I deserve the same attention because I can just as easily go take my business elsewhere. BIG TURN OFF when you see this disparity in treatment of customers. read more
