The service is great here and the staff is very, very efficient. My issue was that I was sending out a medium size envelope. The envelope was going to Utah, no insurance and sent 'snail mail' ground. The woman quoted a price of $15.00. She said 'prices have gone up'. I almost fell to the ground as the content of the envelope was probably less than the cost of sending it. I declined and left, went to the post office down the road and mailed it for $1.77. I understand they 'jack' their prices up for the convenience, but really???? I am writing to report a concern regarding the service at one of your locations: The UPS Store #6144, 9935 Rea Rd D, Charlotte, NC 28277. On July 17, 2025, I visited this store to print a document. Instead of using an official UPS system or secure platform, the staff asked me to send the document to a Gmail account: store6144@gmail.com. Additionally, I was charged a $2.95 "File Access Fee" just for retrieving the document from the email. This raises serious concerns about privacy and data protection: * Does UPS authorize its franchise locations to use Gmail accounts to handle customer documents? * What protections are in place for customers' information when documents are sent to and accessed through a third-party email service? As a customer, I expect higher standards and stronger safeguards when handling personal or sensitive documents. I respectfully request that UPS investigate this practice and clarify its policies regarding secure document handling at franchised locations. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! The owner Jay has no clue how to be a notary, is afraid of notarizing a signature (even with I, and is always looking for a reason to not notarize a signature. Normally, when he refuses, I just ask for a different notary there and get it done. But this time the other notary was out of the country on vacation. I had to quickly run to a bank who notarized the document without any problem. Because of Jay's delay, I was late for the courier. I will try to avoid this place in the future. RESPONSE TO OWNER: No, that is not what happened. I myself am a notary so I know not to sign a document until the notary tells you to. The document was NOT signed. I gave it to Jay to ask if he would notarize my signature and he wouldn't. I then had to scramble to go elsewhere where it was taken care of. Do not tell lies. It's not professional. read more

My first experience with the store was on 23 December. I needed to get something to my family in Michigan by Christmas, and the staff at the store offered to drive to a different location and drop off my package in order to make it on time. They had to hold the driver's shipment passed the 8 PM pick up, and did so for me. It arrived on time. That kind of customer service is hard to come by. Tried to get a small box to CA in the next week. They wanted over $100. Ridiculous. Not doing it. Rip off. Will continue to use post office. Will never try UPS ever again. Done. UPDATE: I Was able to send that box by priority mail to CALIFORNIA for $34 it will be there in two to three days. UPS wanted over $100 to send that same box. So not use UPS. THE US POSTSL service can get your package to your destination for a lot less. Of course, if money is coming out of your ears, go to UPS. Maybe UPS should stand for: U PAY SH@!ITLOAD. read more

Went to drop off a return for Amazon. On app it stated 0.00 dollars charge/fee for drop off UPS service. I had the original packaging but not the box it was shipped with. I walked out paying almost $10.00 for their drop off service. Get this, they charged me $3.00 dollars to print a fricken label which if I had gone to Kohl's, they would have scanned for free and a whopping $6 for a box roughly 3*3 (small drone box). I was told it was a "premium" box (crush proof) lol. I left the UPS store in need of a shower feeling violated in the worst way. You're the best UPS. You're a joke. This place is certainly five stars. The manager has to be one of the most helpful people I've ever met. He's constantly trying to let you know what else they can do for you, and are accommodating like you wouldn't believe. I've shipped, had things packed, printed and more here and they're great. They've even taken foreign passport photos here which are extremely specific and a non-standard fit and they did them to perfection. Easy on off main roads, plenty of parking and great hours. This is the absolute best UPS Store that I've been to in the Ballantyne, Waverly and Matthews area. I know of no other UPS Store that is open 7 days a week. They offer all services including passport renewals including taking your photo. All of the staff model the owner who sets a tremendous example of customer service. Parking has never been an issue. Have been to this store several times and never had a bad experience that needed to be shared but things changed today. I went in to drop some boxes and since I had ran out of tape, I thought the store could help with taping the boxes. Turns out to tape three boxes, the guy at the store was trying to sell tape and giving me grief about it taking a long time. Are you serious? He even suggested I pay 5$ to help fill up the box with filler paper so its securely packed. He kept on reiterating that I need to bring the boxes taped several times. Not sure what's up with all the 5 star reviews but I was so annoyed with the service today that I won't be returning here again. read more

All the employees here are great!! I send packages to my son at college and my mailings too. No need to go to the post office at all. They handle all the services needed right here at the ups store, its perfect. Location is great, plenty of parking and best of all no long lines.
