I sell Ayurvedic organic skin products and growth serum for hair. So far I have not had any issues. If something is returned to me they will scan and send me a email. Meh. This is about how I feel about The Postal Route. It is a convenient stop for me, much more than USPS. However, like lines at USPS, there are lines here. I really don't care for their line setup as well. Basically wait behind a wall waiting for the sign telling you to proceed to a certain numbered cashier. The Good: -They are good for drop off -They are good to buy postage and ship out quickly The Bad: -Their customer service is questionable. 1. One time I was there on behalf of my work and took in several business envelopes - had business logo on the envelopes and we needed stamps as our postage machine was not working properly. The person wanted to hand me cartoonish stamps, to which I said no, just give me the standard flag stamps please. 2. Another time I was there for a personal mailing of a package. I already had stamps on there, but knew I needed more as I ran out at home. I asked them to weigh it to see how many more stamps I needed to purchase. They said they could not do that and I would need to go to USPS for the balance. What? I can't just buy more stamps that I need? It may have been the case of untrained workers, but if that is the case, they are not ready to be working and handling customers on their own. I'll probably continue to go there, but sometimes USPS might just be worth the extra few minutes it takes to get there. read more

The staff is very lazy and do not care. They lose mail that was put into the mail drop box consistently. I have a certified package sent from them that got lost. I went several times to ask them for a status update and the owner looked at me and said not his problem. He told me that I needed to look up the local post office in Florida and ask them. I asked him isn't that his job and thats why I paid extra for his service. He replied not his job to help look for lost packages that was sent from his store. They are the only ones in the area so they do not have any real competition so basically be aware that they will lose mail, packages, and not care. Horrible owner and lazy staff read more

I think this place is great. The customer service is excellent. The staff are super nice, and they always give me multiple options for sending my packages. I've read some of the other reviews, and I have to laugh. Lines? Sure, if you go at busy times. I've been many many times and walked right up to the front of the line. I've never waited long even when there was a line. There are always lots of stations open. As for the line configuration, I personally like having fun things to look at while I wait. I also think it's a nice touch that everyone in line is not glaring at the back of your head while you work through your huge pile of packages! There are also multiple check-out areas if you only need stamps or to purchase something. Usually the line is only for shipping something. As someone else noted, your address and frequent ship-to addresses are on file, so that's easy. Everything you could possibly ever need is there. These guys and gals are fantastic! Always friendly and super helpful. I've sent packages to family in Taiwan and they know the ins and outs of international shipping. They've got a fantastic set up for handling peak times with their waiting system and their location is convenient with plenty of parking. Love the fact they keep your customer info online and can just pull up what's on your profile to prefill the return address on your shipping labels. Only way this could get any better is to have folks enter their information while in line so that customer profile information pops up when your number gets called to a shipping station. It would cut down on a few seconds per transaction but would add up over the peak periods. read more

For a long time my husband swore by this place, but I would always just go to the post office. I was running errands on a Saturday and needed to ship something that I hadn't packed yet. I stopped in because it was on my way, and now I can see what my husband meant. They pack and ship and give you the cheapest option between all the USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL on how to ship! I have tried hard to give them my business, it seems they think mailing stuff is some kind of huge science, everyone that works there says they have to get David to help, he is full of rules and regulations as to why you have to send it a more expensive way (even when every other place just ships the same as is). It appeared when he (David) took the place over years ago he was going to change the reputation of the place, that lasted a minute, they are back to the old way of treating people like they are dumb. This place is the absolute worst. Dropped off a package return to Amazon 3/19/2018 asked if I needed a receipt.They checked the return label and so no it looks good. Package hadn't been delivered by 3/23/2018. So I tried to track the package on UPS. Said had never been scanned into the system. So I open up a claim with UPS and was told to check with facility I had dropped the package of with. Checked back with The Postal Route on 3/27/2018. They said they had no record of me dropping of the package and that they don't make mistakes. I told them to check their video footage. Then was told the cameras don't go back that far. Really, a week... Then was told I was pretty much out of luck for $100 worth merchandise that they mishandled. Very shady if you ask me... Now, if you you think this is just some crazy review from a mad customer, yes it is, but... I'm mad because I was wronged.. I'm not a nobody or a one time customer.. My name is David Kilmer. I personally have never accepted a job that I cannot finish properly. I brought in two medical posters that I needed laminated, they said they could do it. 2 hrs later when they called to say my posters were ready, I was pleased the the job was done earlier than I expected. However, when I got there, while the posters were laminated, they had not been trimmed, all of this ridiculous excess of laminate was obvious. When asked why they had not been done properly, I was ONLY THEN told that they did not have the tools to trim and that they would have to send out to fix and that would cost extra.... note that I didn't even get a discount for this incompetence. I let it slide and thought I could do it myself with scissors and left. They are still not done due to my fear that I would probably jack them up by cutting them unevenly and I am now furious. If you cannot do the job properly, then you should NEVER accept the job to begin with. Incredibly poor service and greed seems to be their game. read more

The have all the special packing stuff you might need for those odd packages and the typical boxes, mailing envelopes, tissue paper you might need. I dropped off a book to be spiral-bound early Wednesday, with the promise that it would be done Thursday morning. The gentleman I left it with seemed a bit distracted and not terribly interested in helping me, noting that he couldn't be sure about finishing at a certain time or being able to answer the phone if I called to check its status before coming by. Thursday morning, I arrived to pick it up, and another gentleman said, "Oh, there's a problem with that book." The original guy had made a mistake and bound the wrong side of the book, requiring him to cut off a large portion of the borders. He was ordering a new book to replace it, which would arrive Friday morning. I was told the book would be ready Saturday morning. Saturday, the book still wasn't ready. Monday morning, my husband went to pick it up for me and it STILL isn't ready, with no explanation other than the man who does binding isn't here. Frustrated now, I called to find out what was going on and was given no real explanation and no help about when it might be done. Alan, who does the binding, should be in around noon or one, but that was it. I finally requested that this be handled as soon as possible on his arrival and that someone call me when it was ready to avoid a fourth wasted trip. No apology, no effort to contact us, no offer to call, etc. Look, mistakes happen and I'm perfectly sympathetic about that. But I do expect a business to go to some lengths to fix it and make it right... without me having to try to work it out. While two of the employees were very friendly, it seems the Postal Route really doesn't care about messing up the order or the inconvenience it has caused. The lack of customer service, sadly, is what has lost them any future business from me. Update: I waited all afternoon for the call saying it was done. No word. Finally called at 5pm, and was told by David that the book never arrived. I'm astounded that Alan never bothered to call me to let me know, and I still haven't gotten any kind of apology. I'm very disappointed and will certainly not be going back there, and basically want the ruined book back so I can go somewhere else. read more

I use the postal route to ship my baseball cards just about every day. The staff is always very attentive, and smiling. Carol is so sweet, I love it if there is a line and I have her as my customer service rep. It is a very smooth running business with customer service being paramount. I have tried other shipping companies in the area and this one is by far the BEST! Their prices are the best in town, unless you would prefer to drive all the way to the post office, however there you will not get your address label typed in and printed out, and that helps my business look more professional. On 6/1/2015 I arrived at The Postal Route at approximately 5:40 pm. When I approached the drop off counter, I engaged one of the employees and asked them if the UPS truck had come yet, and they said it had not. I had a package that needed to be in Texas on or before 6/4/2015 for a charity cook off. UPS ground would have arrived on 6/4/2015 for a cost of $22.27. I pulled the tracking number this morning 6/2/2105 and it was not showing in the system. I called the Postal Route and spoke with David and he verified that the package was still there. He said that the truck had come early on Monday, but did not know when, said that they processed over 100 packages, and said that it's not as easy as just dropping off a package. I asked him to hold the package and I would pick it up. I now had to cancel the original ticket and print a new shipping label for 2 day air at a cost of $89.19. So their error just cost me $66.92. I drove to pick up the package and spoke with David in person. He had the package waiting for me and I applied the new sticker. I then again expressed my disappointment with the way this was handled, and made the point that the whole reason for asking if the truck had come yet was that if it had, I could drive 3 minutes to the UPS store and leave it there as their pickup is 6:30pm. He at no point offered to make it right, other than an apology and an excuse. In today's world everything is about customer service. Without customers, you have no business. They couldn't be bothered with the problem they caused and the money they cost me, so they will no longer have me as a customer. read more
