We paid for a "1 day delivery" on a couple documents that needed to get to Nashville. We paid approx $100 for this service and was told very clearly by the store employee that "If this does not get there in 24 hours that you will get a full refund". Of course, the package did not get there on Saturday, UPS closed on Sunday, nothing Monday with them finally showing up on Tuesday. I contacted this store for my "full refund" and was told that they would process it immediately. What showed up was about $75 as they indicated I would still be charged a "fuel surcharge" of approx $25. I contacted Remji (sp?), store manager, and was then told that this was a "UPS decision" and "I am not UPS - I am an UPS Store". I found that to be a disappointing response - especially from the manager. He further explained in a long drawn out response that he had no control over this. I tried to tell him that HIS employee promised us a "full refund" so that I felt he WAS indeed responsible as that employee obviously needed some additional training so as to not make commitments like this to customers. He disagreed. I'm just moving on..but wanted to just make you aware of what i consider to be a manager NOT taking responsibility to do the right thing for a customer. Last thing - I later found out that FED EX has MUCH better logistics to handle 1 day deliveries (especially for Saturday deliveries) so I will be headed there for all my future shipment needs. The parking lot is tiny and people with their large Ballantyne SUV's are crazy so just be careful. It is also a little weird to get in and out, even though it appears like it's on the corner of Elm and Ballantyne Commons, it's actually just adjacent so you can really only access it from Ballantyne (and the exit is just one-way onto Ballantyne). There is a business park you can cut around back from Elm, only there are a lot of cars parked on the side street so just watch for opening doors and people crossing the street. This post office has a lot of PO Boxes too so lots of people probably dropping in and out for services here. I would think they would make a larger building, but I'm not sure how that will help the ever-present line (it may make it worse).

I walked in and explained that I needed documents printed and notarized…read more The employee slid the email address across the counter for me to send the documents to, printed everything, and only then told me the notary wasn't there and would be back in a few minutes. I asked why he didn't tell me the notary wasn't available before printing my documents, and he just smiled at me. When I asked exactly how long the wait would be, he walked to the back, came back smiling, and said 10 minutes. At that point, I said never mind and picked up my papers to leave. His only response was to tell me I still needed to pay for the printing. No apology, no acknowledgment that he should have told me about the wait before printing the documents, and absolutely no concern that he had wasted my time. I had no problem paying for the printing, but the complete lack of communication and basic customer service was incredibly frustrating. I would not return to this location.

So based on the tracking history, I took a chance and headed to the nearby FedEx Ground facility in hopes that someone could help me. What a nice experience I had. Patty (I believe that was her name) answered the intercom, heard my plea for assistance, and let me back to the offices. Then a young man named Austin was able to search for and identify that my package on a truck and requested that it be re-rerouted for home delivery. I'd expect them to run after the majority of people are home from work and/or school. However, for the purpose of this review, I am forcing myself to consider only the people who actually work at this location, not the entire company. Despite my ill will toward the company in general, the people who work here are pleasant and helpful. The clerk who assisted me the last time went out of her way to help me, actually... so, if she's there, try to get in Pam's line! It would make sense if it were more centrally located, but selfishly speaking, it's a straight shot down 51 for me.

They have even switched a delivery to "signature required" just so they could put they couldn't deliver it. Now, whenever we see a delivery is coming with fedex we know it will be AT LEAST a week of back and forth with automated robots, constant BS if you even reach a human, and numerous headaches. Once you finally reach a real person on the automated call, immediately ask for the highest resolution supervisor or you will just go in circles for hours, probably still will. Just terrible.
