It's been a pleasant experience every time I go to ship something. Ruth, one of the associates, is always willing to tape up a package if I don't have tape or there's a rip in the box. Plus they always have a candy basket, haha. The only downside to any UPS store in general (Not this particular one) is that if you want to print something it's $2.25 for a page! A couple of workers straight out of the ghetto. One moment I was trying to return an Amazon package, the next I was pushing back on the lady because she claimed she told me she can't scan the code off my phone "last week". I haven't been in the store for a month. Then she stopped pushing back and just stared at me like she was going to punch me. Suddenly I was being bombarded with heavy cussing, which I gladly retuned. "Manager" by the name Leshay Ingram refused to ship my package bc I taped over the label. I told her UPS would not be liable if my return didn't make it to Amazon. She still refused, then proceeded to call me a bitch & my mother a bitch. So when I walked back to confront her on that she picked up the phone and tried calling the police stating I was harassing her!! The nerve of this woman and the owner who hired her as a manager. Just wanted to thank Chris, he and the other staff members have an excellent customer service! I always come to this store to do notaries and the first time Chris helped he was very kind and helpful. I waited in line for 10 minutes and when I got to the front the brunette woman with glasses said "I don't care that Amazon says bring it without packaging, they lie you need to repackage it nicely before I'll accept it". Stopped in around 6:15 to drop of a package that was being sent back. I did have an electronic mailing label but didn't realize it until I got there. They told me that I should come back after I go home and print it the next day because it's "wasn't like it would ship that night, anyway, because it was too late". Exact words. To add to this statement the man behind the counter told me that he would prefer if I shipped with him but any UPS could ship the package back. Seriously? If you wanted my business maybe you could have helped me print the label. USPS flat rate shipping is the way to go, hands down. read more

It's a UPS store. I've been to a bunch, and they are all the same. I'm not sure if this was specific to this location, or UPS in general, but to ship it to Washington State for a 2-day thing was about 4x the price to ship it ground. I've shipped to Washington from both southern Illinois and Louisville, and never had THAT big of a difference. Stuff was handled well, but was more than I was willing to spend. read more

I had a fairly large piece of furniture to ship a long distance. I stopped in just before closing one day to ask whether UPS could even ship furniture. They told me yes, and asked me to email a photo of the item so that they could give me a quote. The price was OK (a little less than other quotes I had received), but the reason for my 5 stars is the service. They picked up the item, packaged it superbly, delivered it as promised, and even followed up with an email to make sure delivery at the other end occurred on time, and that the piece was undamaged. I think the management at this UPS store is outstanding! read more

I visited this location today to have a document notarized. The first young man I spoke to was pleasant and professional. He directed me to whom I was told was the notary. This guy was quite rude to me and my mother. He reminded us this was his establishment and he didn't need our business. As a tech consultant I have to drop off return equipment for large corporations all over the Triangle, and over the years have done so all over the East Coast in hundreds of UPS and Fedex locations without a problem. This is only the second time I've ever encountered a manager (I assume she was the franchisee) who wanted to charge me for taping up prepaid, pre-packaged boxes. I completely understand charging for packing services if I bring in say a laptop that I want them to completely package and ship and I will and have paid for this. But there's so many problems with charging for a strip of tape, just a few are: -in pre-paid situations rarely, if ever would a tech, customer or otherwise get reimbursed -tape is a overhead, a core supply of the shipping business, it has to be built into your business cost - it would be like me charging a rental fee for my screwdrives on top of my repair fee when I come fix your computer - you are creating ill-will instead of good-will - even if I'm not a paying customer this time I will NEVER come back to ship with you and I will tell other techs the same - I subcontract for Fortune 500 tech companies and this goes in my report because they have to pay me to drive out of the way to another UPS store, so while you may not care about me, UPS may care about them. read more

I brought in a package with a shipping label already printed out. He wanted to charge me a dollar to run a piece of tape across the top. They have recently started charging for USPS drop off. While I understand that if drop offs for another company may be wasting their employees time, it is dumb that it applies to labels that say "UPS mail innovations." If UPS has a hand in it they should still honor it as a drop off location cause let's be real- how difficult is it to just take the box? Also, In all honesty I would have just paid a dollar or two anyways because I was already there today- but the rates they are charging for accepting USPS packages are just stupid. I had a shirt sized box with a USPS label in a stack of other packages with UPS labels and they wanted to charge $7 for it because it was a "large package." It definitely was not. I will go out of my way now to avoid this place at all costs moving forward. I use fax services there almost monthly and ship a decent amount of stuff but will be going down the street to FedEx Office instead. read more

Brought it some books to ship to Amazon (I already had the label printed and the books were in a shoebox). I was going to buy packing tape to tape up the box but the guy who was working simply took the box for me and taped it up himself and I was only in the store for about 2 minutes and didn't have to buy any tape! My first experience at this location was about six years ago when I first started selling items on E-Bay and was looking for a place ship the merchandise. My mother took me to the nearby UPS Store, and I have been a loyal customer since. It is pretty obvious by the faultlessly organized and tidy atmosphere that the UPS store at this location is a well-managed establishment and this is further confirmed by the people who work there. The service is about as impeccable as it gets - the owner was immediately very personable and was able to go over my items with me and recommend the best packaging options for a safe and reliable delivery. The rest of the staff that I came to know (all of two other people!) equally friendly and helpful, taking the time to get to know me while still maintaining formal and professional business practices. I am a huge fan of this personal-but-not-too-personal service. They even assisted me with packaging when needed and were always eager to know whether I'd "sold all of my Barbie stuff yet" and were excited to find out I was a dancer. It got to the point where they would remember me by name whenever I walked in. The pricing is significantly higher than what they charge at the post office, which is why I usually use the UPS Store for bigger and more important business, but I find it worth the few extra dollars even for more informal personal services at times as I am always told that my items were delivered in record time (and with the luxury of online tracking) and in outstanding condition whenever I use this wonderful service. read more

Just had a horrible phone conversation with someone who claimed he was "the supervisor". He told me his name was Brad. I'm shocked he was in a supervisor position as he clearly had not been introduced to even the most basic principles of customer service. He talked over me during the entire conversation about the package I had sent off a week prior that never made it to its destination. We had been told the address didn't exist once it made it to the correct state despite the fact that the address was actually correct and had to be rerouted back. Somehow it ended up in a different state after the fact. I was frustrated and demanded to speak with a supervisor about how condescending his tone was during my complaint. He told me "patience is a virtue" when I asked why no one had contacted me for several days after having been told I would be given constant updates once the package was located. He proceeded to tell me he was the supervisor when I asked to speak with one. Shocked, I then asked who I needed to go to complain about him and his customer service. I was told, "Good luck. I'm the highest one here, and if you try to call corporate, you'll just get an automated message." He told me only UPS stores were allowed to communicate directly with corporate. Just awful personality. He got nervous at one point when I asked for his name, and without answering me, just put the phone down so I was listening to dead air. Then picked back up and refused to answer me. I kept asking and he kept talking over me. Finally, he told me his name was "Brad," I asked for a last name, and he replied that he didn't have to give that out. Stay away from this store! Clearly, they have no common decency when it comes to dealing with upset customers. The package was a birthday gift worth over $150. I had reason to be upset that it was in limbo somewhere in Maryland a week after leaving NC to make it to VA. Just awful! read more

The printing department couldn't figure out how to print a simple print job I ordered online. After two wasted days, I ended up calling Accent Imaging who did the job in about 10 minutes for the same price. Highly recommend Accent Imaging instead. read more
