She submitted a print job on Saturday and clearly explained that she needed it within 24 hours for an important presentation. She was told that, because it was Saturday, the order would be ready by late Sunday and that she would be notified when it was ready. She was never notified. No email. No phone call. Nothing. She went to the store Sunday to pick up her order, only to discover that the store had already closed. She returned first thing Monday morning, the morning of her 10:00 a.m. presentation, only to be told that their machine was broken and that her order would not be ready until Thursday. Let that sink in: she was told her order would be ready Sunday, received absolutely no notification that there was a problem, and then found out Monday morning, when it was already too late to make other arrangements, that she would have to wait until Thursday. The machine breaking is unfortunate and understandable. The complete failure to communicate with the customer is NOT. Had she received a call or email, she could easily have taken her print job to another company and been prepared for her presentation. Instead, when she tried to address the situation, the response was extremely rude and dismissive, essentially, "Good luck." As a result, she was unable to make her presentation as planned. I called the store manager, who told me that they had refunded the print job and that their policy is to notify customers when there is a problem. While I appreciate the refund, a refund does not resolve the real problem. The issue was the failure to notify her in time for her to make other arrangements. The staff is also always very friendly, but at times may not be the most knowledgeable, this is usually ok though as they'll consult one another and get the necessary information. However, last time I went I was using a flat rate usps box and when I handed it over I was quoted twice the actual price, I know this for a couple reasons, the first being that it was a flat rate box and the prices are published. The second being that I just kind of said I'll think about it and went to the post office down the road who shipped it for the actual price which was literally half what the postal annex worker had quoted me. Now I'm not sure why their price was so high for the same carrier (usps) other than assuming that he did not quote the base price and instead quoted a price with add-one like insurance, tracking, etc. without asking me. Overall though I have always had positive experiences, and would still highly recommend, just would warn to be a little weary and ask some questions about specifics.
