At the Campbell UPS store today & when I presented my package to be shipped I was told by the Agent that, Quote "It is now UPS policy to open all packages for inspection before they can be accepted." At first I thought the agent was joking but she was not. No other explanation given just "this is the new UPS policy. So if you plan on shipping anything with UPS be prepared to show them what's inside. Should have gone directly to FedX but USPS was on my route so I sent my package from there only it probably cost me twice as much for postage. At least I wasn't treated like a terrorist at the post office. Edit due to response. I think first of all the agent at UPS store was quite kurt & no explanation was given as to the why for new policy. At first I thought this an attempt at some humor & was shocked when I realized the agent was serious & as I said the Agent only said this is USP's new policy. I didn't connect this with the Austin problem because Austin TX is 1,717.2 miles from Campbell Ca & while their situation was Awful it was reported as local crime isolated to the Austin area. Now that the Austin Texas tragedy is resolved will UPS discontinue this policy, I wonder & were commercial accounts treated the same as the walk in retail? Is UPS now the TSA of the mail, whats next removing shoes & belts at the door? read more

The store changed management a couple of years ago and the staff handles everything professionally. April is always helpful and friendly. The facility is clean, well-organized with very helpful staff. They don't have a revolving door of staff like they did under the old management. Had a document notarized - quick and easy. Have a mailbox here and it's so much better than the post office (still have to wait in P.O. lines to get packages Ugh). With package thieves out in full force the UPS store is great! read more

No matter how busy the store is nor how many grumpy customers are misbehaving, April is always cheerful, efficient and helpful. She's helped me both with fragile packages going to faraway addresses, and with notary services. Dropping off Amazon and AT&T returns is a breeze at this location. This place rocks. They have lots of services. Yesterday I had a document notarized (only $10, a very fair price) and then had this document faxed. They provided me with a fax cover page too. Very efficient, helpful, friendly and they have lots of services. I even took my DMV test for driver improvement school here at the computer they have! I recommend this store to everybody. I went here to get Live Scan done for a volunteer position I'll be doing, and Cassie Santiago helped me. She was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. She was very accommodating and helpful. Even though I came in close to closing, she was able to squeeze me in. I didn't know that some UPS stores do Live Scan so I was a little nervous but she did a great job making sure the quality of prints was up to par and I feel like it was just as professional as other places where I have had them done in the past. read more

I am working with the location right now, it has been a huge process and could have been made a lot easier but... thats not the case. The store did their job of mailing our package out correctly but UPS the company managed to lose it. This was a 1700 TV and the shipping, packaging and insurance were over 200 dollars as well (which is the normal cost of such things) but is a lot of money to pay for nothing. I have talked to the people at the 800 number on multiple occasions and have only called them when I am unable to get a response from the store which has been quite often. The girl who is handling our case comes in at 1pm, if I hear from her I am told it is too late to do whatever it is she has to do so she will have to do it the next day. Unless we contact them nothing gets done. I had my husband drop off the form that the people from the 800 number told us to to start the claim and they stated the store should be calling you asking you for these forms... nope didnt happen. Then last week I called to ask what was going on and I was told.. no joke "i should have gotten a fax from UPS today, guess I should have called them about that today. Ill try to get that done." I said can you call me and let me know how that goes?' Never got a call ever. My husband went into the store to see what the hell was going on and drop off papers, with all the madness and confusion you would expect the owner who was standing right there to walk over, explain what was going on and apologize for all of the inconvenience... no not all. He gestured something to the girl working with my husband and stayed there on his computer the entire time. We had insurance so this should be a snap... ya right. I hear something different from every person I talk to and am always told... well give you a call. Nope. I called yesterday pretty upset. The owner questions how I talked to someone at UPS yesterday when I tell him what I was told by the people at the 800 number. So he is not even aware that this company is open on Sundays which makes everything make much more sense, they are totally out of the loop about the inner workings of UPS all together. After talking to him he obviously called his liason at UPS who had the nerve to call me and tell me I should only contact the store not the UPS 800 number as they have the most up to date info. I told her she was crazy and that I could not get so much as a returned phone call and that it was quite obvious someone is very confused about how this is supposed to work. This woman assured me I would hear from the store on Tuesday and I laughed at her. Really I was to hear from them on 3 different occasions and it never happened and when I call the young girls who work there say hold on let me get neil for you and come back sounding embarrassed and say "uhh hes going to call you back later" Really really he has made a phone call to me once in all of this time once!!!! I have spoken with 3 managers at UPS over the last few weeks who are all amazed at how difficult dealing with this store has been. They have recommended we complain to this 800 number who regulates the stores but I have put it off thinking maybe it was the people at the 800 number who had their facts mixed up but its becoming more and more clear that that is not the case. They are polite and return calls... they all say the same thing. The owner has said more than once that he will not write me a check for our lost package until he has one in his hand, he has no faith in his own company to pay off their claim so how should I. I am at a loss in this situation, I am paying interest on this lost TV everyday that I wait for these people to figure out what the hell they are doing. I have been told by girls in the store more than once, you will have a check on this day.. and then again on this day and nothing not even a phone call. I can see its not 100 percent this stores fault obviously the idea that these stores and ups can work in unison is insane and if you deal with ups the quality of customer service is dependent on the skills of the guy who decides to buy a store, whos to say he knows anything about customer service at all. I told my husband I am done dealing with this shit for him. He has a bad temper and didnt want to go off on these people so he asked me to handle it. I figured as a business owner myself I could manage and be more understanding of the matter, shit happens sometimes and you deal. But I cant deal with rude people and Im done. My husband decided to just give them till today (we have been told today they will finish the claim. now they will not say wtf that means that we get paid that they end the process.... nothing they use all these loose terms to avoid every getting a damn thing done) and then we will just go the small claims route and tack on all the interest we are paying cause its too much of a headache. And trying to get answers from these people is a headache and a half. Do yourself and favor and use FEDEX read more

Susie is also a great asset to this location. Again, making sure that their customers get the best service possible. Do not use this UPS store! Thieves and liars work and run this location. I shipped a package that was stolen from the store the evening I dropped it off. After MULTIPLE conversations with the owner and after a full investigation the outcome still remains that my loss was not important and I was promised full reimbursment by the owner but I was never reimbursed. I was just told that they are now under new ownership but you can gurantee I will NEVER use this or any UPS store after how poorly my situation was handled. I came to this UPS store one day after work to ship out a package that I sold on eBay. I've been to other UPS stores numerous times but never this one. I went in and I purchased a box. I already had my tape and my item and I just needed to pack it up. A young girl helped me to purchase the box. I looked for counter space to assemble and package up my shipment. Some older guy mumbled something to the girl and then the girl told me that if they don't package it up for me then I cannot do it in their store. And they charge a fee for packaging. I thought that was pretty strange because I have done it before many times at other locations. I was very shocked. The store was empty and I was their only customer and there was a lot of empty counterspace. But I was in a rush and they were damn serious about it so I packaged my box outside the store on the dusty floor. I was so pissed that I then took a picture of my belongings on the floor outside. Pretty rediculous right! When I was done I went back in and the girl had a smirk on her face. I paid for the shipping and left. If you have something to ship out, AVOID this location at all costs. They just care about your money and not you. Their professionalism is horrible and I just wanna see how much longer a place like this can stay in business. read more

April and Jasmin built me a box out of 3 smaller boxes which came out to be just the perfect size. The final cost came to $20! I'll ship my items with this store anytime because of my experience! GO HERE!!!!!! Do NOT go to the UPS on prospect....they tried to overcharge me! I happened to call this UPS and April gave me totally different information. I'm so glad I didn't go to the prospect location because it's ridiculous that they'd be giving out random and false prices, and thus stealing from customers. Campbell UPS let me know the other location misquoted me on express shipping. The prospect place literally told me $95 for overnight shipping by 10:45am or 2 day shipping which may or may not get there at a specific time because of the 4th of July holiday for $50 or so. April at this location was amazing, accurate, and really helped me. She stated that this was not accurate. Bc I'm sending to a business, it would have been $40 or so for 1 day delivery. In the end, I got a 10:30 am guaranteed (2 day) delivery for $32. She said it has nothing to do with it being a holiday because they account for that. And express gives exact delivery assurance. Not to mention there is no 10:45 am delivery, just 8:30am, end of day, or 10:30 pm. The person at the prospect location had a very heavy accent, but I made sure he repeated this for me. Sounds shady! If he is up charging and coming up with random prices. Not cool. read more

I've come here a number of times over the past year and my experience has been wildly variable. In general, the service has been great. Most of the times I've come in, the employees have been friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to accommodate my questions and needs. My most recent experience, however, was pretty awful. I went to drop off a bunch of returns for Amazon. The person behind the counter didn't greet me (or say anything to me all for the entire time I was there, if I recall). My items were of varying sizes and weights, so I stacked them on the counter with the largest and heaviest box on the bottom, and the lightest items (padded envelopes) on top. The person scanned the lightest, topmost item first, and then inexplicably proceeded to scan and stack the others on top, which resulted in an inverse pyramid. I was more than a little alarmed that the weight of the heavier boxes on top of them would damage the things in the envelopes on the bottom. After he finished scanning everything and printed out the receipt, he sort of tossed it at me and didn't bother to see whether I actually managed to catch it (I didn't... the receipt fell in a gap between the cash register and the counter, so I had to fish it out with my fingers). I don't want one negative experience to outweigh all the positive ones I've had, but if you come here and see a middle-aged (South Asian?) man with facial hair and glasses behind the counter, er... you might want to try coming back another time. read more

Just got banished from this store because on Wednesday I had bought 4 books of stamps and because I was in a hurry it didn't occur to me that 20 stamps do not cost $14. Do the math, I paid $16.80 extra for the privilege of buying stamps in this store instead of going to the post office. So I return to the store this afternoon, look around to see the no returns sign, there isn't one and ask for my refund. The wonderful employee told me that she needed to call the owner because she didn't think I could get a refund. The owner told me over the phone I couldn't return the stamps, that I shouldn't have bought them and that it is written on the receipt that they can't be returned. I had the receipt in my hand, nothing at all about returning anything. We go back and forth and she threatens to call the police on me, I told her to go ahead. The poor employee was great to me, but the owner was out of line. The owner told the employee to get my name and phone number and to tell me I was no longer allowed in the store and if I ever came in again the police would be called. REALLY? I hope that $16.80 was worth it to you! read more

I went to the store with a very broken key which has no key handle left. Monica amazingly made a perfect working copy from my broken key. She was thrilled when I went back to the store to thank her and make another back up key - told me that this was something she had never done before. I am very impressed with the enthusiasm the staffs showing in their day to day work - their warm and helpful personality as well as the positive energy around the store definitely make us all less stressful. I went to the store to ship out a package. I walked in and bought a box and some bubble wrap. I brought my item to pack up and ship out as well. The clerk asked if I wanted them to box it for me. I said no thanks and then was told that I cannot use their counters to pack my small box. I thought they were joking because I packed my box at all other locations before. By the way I was the only customer there. They told me to go outside so I did that. I kinda felt dumb but oh well and I packed my box on the floor. If I wasn't strict on time I would have gone somewhere else. I think that treating your customers that way is wrong and that anyone reading this should avoid this location and go somewhere else where they will take care of you. read more
