I usually come here to drop off returns and never have an issue, but the experience I just had with a new guy at the front desk was incredibly frustrating. Normally, the return process is quick, quiet, and seamless. Today, this employee refused to help me until I verbally responded to him, repeatedly demanding, "Can we help you?" in an aggressive tone. First of all, forced verbal interaction is entirely unnecessary for a simple drop-off scan. Second, it is completely ableist and inconsiderate. I am currently dealing with a sore throat and bad hearing from allergies forcing me to strain my voice just to receive basic service is incredibly rude (was clearly wearing a mask). He was clearly judging me and power-tripping over a simple transaction. Never going back here again. read more

Initial customer service was fine (+1 star for that) then the manager took over and clearly doesn't want to do any real work. When he asked me, "Why are you being so difficult?" that flipped the switch for me and I left. There are other options around here. FedEx got my $2,500 for this shipment. read more

Warning! You must pack each individual item in a separate box with its own packing slip on the box AND in the box. The 'manager' will ban you from the store if you question his store policy. After contacting Amazon, I confirmed it is Amazon policy to allow multiple items in a box with packaging slips attached to each item. To say the manager was rude and unprofessional is an understatement. Find another store to use. read more

I tried coming to here today to drop off two small packages. As soon as I opened the door, an employee with a mask swifty told me I needed to wait outside. There were approximately 4 people in the store. There was PLENTY of room to wait inside. He then LET THE GUY BEHIND ME WITH A HUGE BOX IN THE STORE. That's complete BS. Newsflash - It is almost 2025. Not 2020. Let the pandemic go already, especially if you're going to select who can and can't come in. I left and will never return. read more

I had to deal with some returns at this location and the service was amazing. I made the poor decision of forgetting the return Info and wasn't sure what I needed to bring in and the worker there, Jordan, made it very clear what I needed to bring back and was able to process my return. She was so kind and patient with my naiveness and I didn't feel as stupid by the time I was finishing up the process. She is great at her job and very knowledgeable. read more

Wow. Just wow. While I depend greatly on UPS to handle much of my packages (mostly inbound, small amount outbound), color me SHOCKED when my holiday shipment (already admittedly late and scheduled for delivery to me in late December) was confirmed to deliver...when I was out of town for a trip! The shipper apparently got stock of item and shipped it ASAP, with a delivery during the middle of my winter travels. It was arriving ONE DAY before I returned home. "No big deal" I thought to myself. UPS has "My Choice" and I can easily re-route my package to the nearest UPS store (this location on Bascom Ave, next to the Pruneyard) for hold, up to 1 week. GREAT! I pay the minimal fee of $6 to UPS on My Choice...and schedule it for hold and pickup at the UPS store . It's only one day, after all... So queue my SURPRISE and DISAPPOINTMENT when on the morning of my return date...I see the little surprise on UPS.com that the dully thinking person at THIS UPS STORE decided to **REFUSE** my shipment. Well hot dam. I called UPS customer service to re-route it somewhere else, heck to my house, now that i'm headed home. NOPE. Once it's refused, it goes BACK to the original shipper, and I am (as we say in the late 90s for internet service) A.O.L. WHAT IN SAM H.E.DoubleHockeySticks are they smoking here when you can't do the BASIC JOB of your company name on the front of your store? It's called RECEIVE a package, and HOLD it. Please don't make it harder than it is. and YOU--dear reader--don't think that this location is going to do YOU right either. I used to love coming to this UPS location because it is conveniently located on Bascom, good hours and staff was always nice. However, post-pandemic, this place is just awful. The staff that they have currently is always very unwelcoming and not friendly. They do require masks as of July 2022 which okay is fine but if someone comes in without one, that shouldn't give them reason to be rude, considering it's not mandated anymore. Even if it was, there's a way to politely handle it which they do not do. The 3 person maximum is also a bit much. Never had an issue parking here, it's connected with the paint shop and also there's a covered garage with two entrances, once side backs up to the side street. They get the job done at the end of the day but I would avoid this location in my opinion. read more

I go here a lot to get all of my mailing things taken care of so that should say a lot. Parking is pretty good except that now all of the ones in front is for Sherman Williams lol. But there's a lot in the back and some in the garage. The staff are hard working and reliable. Mostly decent service, not the friendliest but their work is good. I don't mind the 3 people max, but hate it how there were 4 people one time and when one person left, my husband I came in and they made my hubby leave and not the 3 family members together who caused there to be 4 people in the first place...at least be fair with everyone :/ read more

All the store are super helpful and I would recommend going to this location if you are in the area. Easy and convenient parking, helpful and friendly staff. I called and asked when the notary was working. I was told 6. When I came in at 5:15, the 2 men who are notaries said, we can not after 5. Another time the younger guy said, It is not my day to be notary and there is no notary here today. Really, it is not you day. So there is no notary? This store is terrible I would never recommend anyone to come drop off a package here. The manager and associate. Was rude and unprofessional. I asked for help with a lost package. They wouldn't even help me with it. I asked for the store number, email address, store number. Can I leave my contact info with the owner of the store. Since the manager is the owner son he said. Since you're refusing to help me. Then why even work here a this store. If you don't want to help customers. Isn't that ups moto. To have excellent customer and handle packages with care. Like put your self in my shoes. I'm just asking for help to track it. If it was your package lost wouldn't you want help. If it was sent out from this store. *Lost my return* even though I provided them a return label to affix to the package. The tracker showed they never scanned the package at their store despite having dropped it off. There wasn't a crowd in the store, I was the only customer in the store at the time. Pretty much kept my stuff. Also on same day, paid over $140 to send two packages 2 day delivery to the same address. One package *arrived a day late*. Why bother to pay so much money to have it not show up on time even though the packages were going to the same location? My client also had to go search for the second package that arrived a day late throughout the hospital facility that spanned multiple buildings. I also noticed on my receipt that the worker Walter (who claims he's the owner) put my old address in as the sender address even though I specifically handed him a paper indicating my correct address. He basically pulled my old address from the system. Should the package have been returned for any reason, it would have gone to my old address in another city. Terrible service from *this* UPS store. I spend on average $400-$500 a week to ship things for work. If the service is unreliable, it affects my business. I will not be bringing my business to this location. I visit this UPS location when I need ANYTHING done from shipping to printing. I've always had the best customer service here with all the team members and that has guaranteed a long-time positive customer to employee relationship with me. The first time visiting I had a project that I pitched to the team and though some of the project's requirements were out of reach for them, they took the initiative to find out how they can still help. I was needing about 11 (11x17) prints with binding and also with film cover/back. The employees helped out on the issue but were unable to help provide the film cover/back. Instead they suggested that I visited a FedEx or Staples. I could've gotten the cover and back installed at FedEx or Staples, but I insisted on coming back to have one of the UPS workers, who took care of me throughout the whole process, install it for me. It was never a monetary issue, but I was so humbled that the employee didn't charge a cent on the film cover/back installation. In the end, I was very pleased with how my project turned out. I really couldn't ask for a better customer/employee experience. I visited again this afternoon needing help to ship out a present to a family member. I provided my own box and had my items wrapped and taped ready to be sent out. Gary, I believe, was very professional and handled my business sweetly. I was just needing a shipping label and a receipt with a tracking number for the sent present. The process took just under 3 minutes and I was on my way out the door. These guys working at UPS are truly the best and they will continue to have my services. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience every time I visit UPS. read more

Well, I was in a fantastic mood prior to visiting this UPS location, but simply put, I was able to experience the customer service fiasco of "Fernando" the manager with an attitude. I went in for a basic Amazon Return for a pair of shorts. I was not able to print the return address label prior to going to the store, nor did I have an envelope or box for the pair of shorts. This seems like a pretty easy task to handle, especially for a place that ships packages, however, this seemed to be a problem for "Fernando" who from what I could tell did not want to be doing what he was doing. To start, he basically told me that I needed to bring the printed label and showed me someone elses printed label as an example. *No Additional Information Given and that really is not helpful since I just showed him the label I received via email from Amazon. I HAD to ask if I could email the label Amazon sent me for him to print. Apparently that is an option, but it must be on the "Secret Menu" as if I hadn't asked, I don't think he would have offered that option. He then condescendingly states that I'll need a box because he can't put the label directly on the shorts... *Did he really just say that? Yes he did. When I asked him for help getting a box or envelope, he gestured to a wall of supplies. When I asked him again, he stated that he wasn't sure what there was to be helped with and gestured again. When I stated that I had had a stroke and I needed help, he then sarcastically stated "Don't you worry, I'll hold your hand". Again, the condescending tone... Now to be completely honest, I had had enough and this was definitely not my best moment, but there come a time when I am not going to be treated like this anymore... *expletives were given (from me to him). I was asked to leave. I left. I will NOT be going back to this location. I immediately went to The UPS Store at 4750 Almaden Expy., Unit 124, San Jose, CA 95118 and received superior customer service from an Employee (not a manager) who helped me with everything without having to ask and without an attitude. The parking lot for this location can feel a bit overwhelming, but once you find a spot, it's extremely pleasant! I normally use UPS for heavier items, and every single time I've visited there's been no issues - only positivity. Every time I ship, I'm given a receipt, and I've never had an issue with anything getting lost or damaged while in transit. There is never a long line, and the staff here is very efficient in making sure everything is running as smoothly as possible. I've been to one other location that made it feel more like a process than it actually was, so it's nice to be able to quickly get assisted and be on my way out (especially when running multiple errands)! It's also conveniently located near a Chipotle, coffeehouse, and across the street from the bank and Whole Foods! It's in a perfect area to get everything you need done, without driving out of the way to get a bite to eat or get grocery shopping done. It definitely has a 'local' feel for being a major chain like UPS. The staff is always helpful, nice, and I'm always grateful for their dedication and patience. read more

The people at this store are professional, friendly, and pro-active regarding Covid precautions. The store is right next to Chipotle and parking can be tight. However, if you are just going to run in and out, you'll be able to do so. Please don't park on Bascom Ave itself; you will be ticketed. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 stars because sometimes there is a line; that's really not their fault but I don't like standing around waiting. read more

Whatever service we needed they always are quick and efficient. At times they would suggest a cheaper way to ship or mail. Fernando was always making me laugh he has a great sense of humor. I rented a mailbox here from out of state to establish mail service. What a mistake. Even stupidly paid six months in advance. The owner and his disturbed son " the manager" treat customers like absolute garbage. I had a simple question but an important one, relating to different delivery companies. I wanted to talk with Walter, the owner regarding this. The manager became irate, berated me in front of the store and the occupants, stating " you are not going to dismiss me"...owner came out, did nothing about the incident; merely stated " that is my son". I will be pulling my mailbox from this place and will go to Postal Annex. The management at this place is seriously disturbed. No one's business should be entrusted to them. read more

Extremely rude and poor customer service. I've been coming here for years and always felt I was a nuisance with my Amazon returns or any of my shipping needs. It's always the same guy that is beyond grumpy, impatient and short with the customers.... never even as much as a "hello". I don't know why I keep going back (probably because it's the closest to my home) but the last straw for me was when the owner or maybe it's the owners son followed me to my car accusing me of stealing his notary stamp!! WTH????? After I assured him I DID NOT there wasn't even as much as an apology. I was disgusted by his behavior. I will NEVER set my foot inside this store again. I will take my business elseware.
