Given that it is located in a sketchy part of town, I have to say, it was a pretty good time. Music was good, (all 80's), descent beer selection, and they do have bar food, fried food that is. What ever you want fry it up, its here. I would have only given this bar 3 stars, because the service was not that great. (you had to go up to the bartender every time. (And its a place, with approx. 75 max capacity. Descent size). However, they do have shuffle board so that makes up for the service. If your in the neighborhood, check it out. Its surprisingly real safe, considering you have to enter in an alleyway door. :) read more

This is like the secret club house for White People in the CD! It's a couple blocks from Garfield HS and the entrance is tucked down an alley, but as soon as you step inside your surrounded by hipsters having a few drinks after doing their part to gentrify the neighborhood. 'Course, I'm a gentrifying white person with occasional hipster pretensions, so this place is perfect for me. Reasonably priced drinks and good bar food combine with a fun-but-laid-back atmosphere to make this a favorite bar of mine. I can't really speak to the perceived politeness of the staff, but the place is always busy, so I wouldn't expect intimate service from the bartenders. They're busy folks, so if you're looking for someone to unload your troubles on, bring a friend with you, 'cause the bartenders don't have the time here. read more

This bar is the best dive bar I have been to in town. It's qwirky from start to finish with the entrance being in the side-alley way to the $1.50 PBR on tap. Twilight Exit has the most eclectic crowd of any bar I have been too since I moved here - which was one of the best features of this place. There is tons of space and a great place to hang out with a large group or that special someone...or a dog...yeah, there was a dog there all night that acted like he worked there. Still trying to figure out this town. Twilight Exit gets two paws up. read more

Possibly my new favorite dive bar, and is greatly aiding my decision to move to Central. Great atmosphere, and the crowd that it attracts seems laid back and friendly. As for the food, go to their website and peep the menu. It is AWESOME. I've only gotten to try a couple things, but so far everything is excellent, and I'm making it my mission to sample as much as possible. read more

My sister had the veggie mushroom burger it was good. The burger was a boca burger not her fav. But very good anyway. I had the twilight burger and it was loaded and delish. It will take me another day to finish it. The bar tender was friendly and helpful with our choices. This was our first time here. It's a bit sneaky to find but worth it. A little loud and dark for us old folk but great for the younger crowd but it was an adventure. read more

The Twilight Exit - Dive Bars Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I come to twilight exit every Friday. It's a great dive bar with cheap drinks and great food. I think 97% of the food is made from scratch. The best part is that's it's pretty hidden so only locals know about it and is never slammed. It's full but you can usually get a table if you want one. read more

Have you ever been to a poor person's trailer when the bar is stocked with good liquor and the kitchen is kicking out delicious food late at night? I didn't think so. The magic happens here at Twilight Exit. A no-pressure setting in which to tip back a few and catch up with old friends, have an adult birthday get-together or just get plowed. I will never tell which one I did. read more

Update: they have the birthday drink again! Even during non-happy hour it's only $40 for 7 drinks with a heavy pour. The only place to celebrate someone's birthday! read more

I'd give it a 4 if it wasn't for how much I miss the old location and menu. No longer the dive that I loved so much with chicken fried bacon, it's still a decent place to grab a burger and drinks. No more pool table and back porch for smoking. It's still a nice place and I might like it better if I didn't expect it to be what it previously was. Oh, and their french fries suck. I end up getting tater tots, which I like but would just prefer to get quality french fries. Edit: they open the back patio in the summer, so you can smoke out back some of the time, but I still maintain that this is a psuedo-dive-bar. read more

We had a great time at the Twilight Exit this summer for my friend's birthday party, and the staff didn't even have a problem when we brought in Ezell's fried chicken from up the street. The outdoor seating is beautiful in the summer time, and there's even some spots to find shade out there if you're worried about getting a sunburn. There are also fun games to play, arcade games and even a shuffleboard table (I love shuffle board). There's also a vending machine with ping pong balls in it in case you want to start up a drinking game. The service was okay, and the in house food was your typical bar fare, but what really put the Twilight Exit over time top as some place I'll almost certainly come back to is that free (free?) gigantic mug of booze that you get for having your birthday there. You even get to keep the mug! That deal is better than anything you're going to find in groupon! read more

LAME AND SMARMY! Wait staff could not give a sh*t about service, always talking with friends smoking outside! rude, and the kareookee guy just let's his friends sing even if you tip him & buy him a drink! What a lame place. The taps are not clean and only one. Local dark beer on tap. It's a really good canned beer joint if you like that sorta dishwater beer,...it will still cost ya though. read more

This place is crowded and dark in a neighborhood that is not the best, sadly it is the only bar in the neighborhood which by default makes it our go to spot. They do have some amazing deals though and happy hour goes til 8 every day of the week which is just crazy. 3$ beer. Plus the tator tots here are so good, not sure why. I hear the rest of the food is good too. Burgers are supposedly quite tasty and there is a vegetarian option which some people I know eat with bacon and peanut butter, strange if you ask me. They seem to have a different soup every time I come as well. I love the mural outside on the wall. Plus the games are fun if you need a break for sitting and talking. Galagas did keep dying in the middle of our game, but it just made us feel cooler to continually keep getting the high score. My friend is a huge fan of dive bars and this is her new favorite. read more

1) It's god the best darn karaoke i n the city 2) It has a non-pretentious vibe 3) they have DEEP FRIED BACON 4) they have the coolest bartenders ever 5) on your birthday you get a giant bowl of alcohol with a can of olympia floating in it 6)it's rock n rol read more

This is the new home of the Twilight and luckily they've preserved most of the atmosphere of the old place. Things have been cleaned up a bit and it's a little tighter seating but a lot of the old art is back on the wall. I'm really impressed how quickly they pulled off the move! They were really busy on opening night so hopefully they'll do well on this somewhat forelorn block. A good neighborhood mix of folks, good drinks and greasy food! read more

I feel like this spot is a haven in the quickly changing Seattle area. A grungy, dive bar that is a comfortable hang and I could only imagine that a mere 5-10 years ago, the vibe was even more different then. A great spot. read more

The Twilight Exit is definitely one of my favorite dives. If you ever need a stuck in the 80s bar, this is it....complete with all the music for your butt rock needs. PARKING: Unmetered street parking. LOCATION: This bar resides in the Central District neighborhood. AMBIENCE/DECOR: If you're a Gen Xer, there will be lots of lights, paintings, and bric-a-brac that will have you thinking to yourself, "I remember this (from when I was a kid)". Most of the time, I'm here it's 80s hair band music that's play. This is a great place for a retro vibe. Or you can go outside. PATIO: This is a fully fenced in patio with no view of anything special. But when you're just looking for a place to soak in that Vitamin E, it will work. There is a bend towards nautical goodies hung around. FOOD: Bar food. But it's good bar food. I gotta give props to the owner. They make alot of their stuff in house. They have rotating food specials. Their burgers are bomb. Their salads are bomb. Their food is good. This is definitely a place to go if you're hungry. BOOZE/BEER: Not the greatest selection of beer here. They have the vitals as far as hard liquor goes. You won't find a weak drink here. Overall, this is one solid dive that has it all. This has definitely worked into my list of regular visits and places to take someone for their first time. read more

Oh Twilight, you are my most favoritest bar ever. How can you go wrong with a full menu served all day, a daily happy hour on drinks from open-8:00, jukebox, patio, huge, clean bathrooms, Big Buck Hunter, and a variety crowd from the neighborhood? When I make a trip to Seattle, I always make sure to stop here. The bartenders remember me, but not my friends, who live more local. It's hilarious every time. Oh, and best bourbon and ginger I've ever had. read more

Not for the suburbanite... Isn't the Central District Dangerous?! Brush past the thugs selling crack out front and enter through the side. The reward: One of Seattle's best kept secrets! An authentic dive bars that serves excellent food. They got street fighter too! read more

I've been here once, on a mid November Sunday night. I ordered fish & chips and it was nearly above average, hand breaded methinks, but not house cut fries. I was confused when the service professional axed me what side I wanted to which I snarkily said "you mean instead of chips? wtf." I want what I want. 95% 20 something hipsters. Doing Karaoke. Karaoke? Hipsters? Whaaaa??? I'll be back to try their weird ass burger with peanut butter on it and play some old skool video games -- I think I spotted Joust flap-flapping in the corner. read more

Divey and AWESOME. Eat their burger - it's the best in the city. - peanut butter bacon or the twilight - go now - and they're famous for their tots! But honestly they have the best salad you'll ever get as a side salad! Wonderful happy hour that goes til 8pm - try the whiskey ginger or Two Beers' amber. Two pinballs, Big Buck Hunter, a photo booth, and shuffleboard -- In the summer the patio is amazing and has ping pong! read more

I personally like all the staff (bartenders and dogs included). It's a shame people aren't able to bring dogs in anymore due to lame ass pussies who complain, but I digress... Back to the bar: food's great, drinks are great and crowd is fun. Outdoor patio and location are clutch (especially since it's a close drunk-walk to my front door). I get drunk and eat here on the regular - keep up the good work! read more

Great dive bar. It is a dive bar so judge accordingly. They have ... tater tots. Did you hear me? Tater tots. Yeah maybe I get a bit too excited about simple things..but really isn't life truly about the simple things? Tater tots are simple and amazing. Go here and eat some. read more

What a hole in the wall this place is. How great. Fairly cheap beer, I think the Rainier's were only around $3. I didn't try food off the menu but heard it was great and they had a decent selection on the menu. If I make it back here the grilled cheese will most definitely be mine. read more

I'd never thought to write about Twilight, but I went there tonight and had such a nice bartender that just that alone made me want to say a lil' something nice. So.... yeah... she was super cool! But I also got to meet the owner of Twilight, who for some reason I never thought of as a real person, and he was cool too! My co-worker and I went out for drinks and were pleasantly surprised to find that they have an outside patio! It's open til 9 out of respect for the neighbors, but HELL YEAH, the patio is so well planned out. Seriously man, I comend you on that one. We have reunions every now and then, and with the patio in order, we will definitely be back. You guys are doing great! read more

Love it! Great drinks (yum whiskey sour... strong and yet tasty) and atmosphere, really fun Sunday night karaoke scene (some people can actually sing... how neat), a cool place with cool people. They also have trivia at 7:30pm on Tuesdays for $3, but be warned, it is strictly pop culture. So if you spent your young adulthood reading Dostoevsky at some bougie liberal arts college and don't know shit about mainstream America, you will probably not do too hot. On the bright side, if you suck, losers get a free drink ticket!! Yes... "free drink" ... what could be better than that?? Well, maybe winning... they get the pot. Also their food is amazingly delicious, particularly for a bar (I guess technically it's a restaurant?). I love their chicken tenders, which are real battered strips of chicken, and their blue cheese burger is yummmyy.... A lovely, dimly-lit dive. read more

It turns out that tater tots can be incredible. Sirloin salads, too. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and video games! Great place to grab a beer and unwind with some seriously good food. read more

I loved the old Twilight, right next to my work. Now they have moved right next to my home (well, almost)! The happy hour drink prices are a super deal, and the menu is great for a dive. Tater tots! Also, chicken fried bacon, which I don't eat, but c'mon. The ambiance is still totally dive, but maybe a tad less dusty. The space seems smaller & louder, which I don't prefer, but is still fun. I never used it, but am sad to see no more pool table, and the games are sorta separated from the general public. Still a great crowd. read more

I love you so dearly twilight exit. I used to live just down the street and needed a bar that I could stumble home from, and checked the map and there was Twilight Exit. So naturally we went there and had a great experience. They have incredibly tasty tater tots. I haven't tried any of their other food, but my friends swear by it. Drinks are stiff and decent priced, the atmosphere was what we like to call "kick ass" and "fun" If you're in the area, stop by, grab a drink and tots and pet their dog. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place has a great menu, great food and a kitchen open late. There's an awesome group of staff and everyone's always been friendly whether I'm with a group or stopping by solo. There's usually a decent size crowd and the patrons are friendly too. There patio is great for summertime. I like the eclectic art and vintage lamps. They have a nice variety of drinks and good deals. I usually go for the food and stay for a drink. :) read more

I went three times with three different groups of people during my week vacation in Seattle. Why? Because it's awresome.. There's ping pong tables in the back. I think Rainier 16oz was a $1? I remember we drank for a while and I'd only end up paying like $12. I mean, dogs are allowed! Come on. read more

Awesome, I totally love the new place. The giant plates of tots, and strong drinks.. Le ambiance is totally sweet. A great little cracker oasis in the c.d. read more

Great food, good drinks, great staff, awesome atmosphere. What more could you ask for? The new Twilight Exit has an incredible menu, I've tried quite a few items, and would order any of them again, including the chicken fried bacon, tater tots, steak salad, hamburger, chicken burger, bleu cheese fries, cobb salad and more. The portions are just right, not so much that when you leave you feel that you've over eaten and not so little that when you're done your hankering for a big mac. The bartenders are sweet and friendly, after only a few times of going they know our drinks and take wild guesses as to what we want to eat. Lots of good bantering back and forth. The whole atmosphere is very conducive to being a fantastic neighborhood pub. The interior is interesting. I can only imagine that this is what my grandparent's 'rec' room looked like in the 70's, the only missing part is the orange shag carpeting. The TE also has a great outdoor area, perfect for those long warm summer nights. Finally they have a GREAT happy hour (s!) from open until 8, draft beer is $3, wells are $2.5, and pbr is $1.5. read more

Now that there is another bar open in the CD I feel that I can comfortably write this review... that being said, I'm really unimpressed every time I go. I feel like I am always bussing my own table in order to find a seat, the bar tending staff is rude to non regulars, and the place always smells kind of weird. I definitely prefer the Neighbor Lady already! read more

This place got the best bugers, once again another one of those bar n grill where u get the most righteous all natural foods served in Seattle. Nothing more need to be added. This is all hands down the best kept secrets bar with excellent food. Ill bet you if you want. read more

The Twilight moved in just a half block from my house in the CD, and the abrupt increase in my neighborhood happiness level was jarring - in a good way. I love having a laid back bar with lots of fun goings-on, a diverse crowd, awesome decor, crush-worthy bartenders, and cheaply priced beer with tasty chow. There is pinball, an A+ Jukebox, and Galaga. Say no more! I have a hard time not ordering the catfish Po'Boy and Dick's Danger Ale whenever I go, but the menu deserves experimentation. read more

Don't let the outside fool you. We needed to kill a few hours before we headed back to Arizona. Read the reviews and decided to give the place a try. We were not disappointed. The bartender, I believe his name is Taylor was very friendly. Compliments to the chef, tasty burgers cooked to perfection. Wish there was a place like the Twilight Exit near us.. read more
