How lucky am I that I can walk down the street to this hidden speak easy bar? Look for the pot shop on the corner, and walk a few feet to the side door and you've arrived. Funky, dark, small bar, but tables inside and outside on their patio. Dog friendly, food offerings, origami paper for you to hone your craft, or watch some sports on the flat screen. Didn't try the food this time, but the cocktails are on point! So is the service. Great neighborhood bar, or if you're on the hunt for speak easy bars- try out this one!

The Toledo would be my go to bar even if Westlake had more to offer! Love the bar tenders and the underground vibe. They often have fun food specials depending on the season. Love their specialty cocktails on a special nice, but always down for a tap pour.

We always see this place walking on dexter but we had never actually visited. It's a small little dive bar with an outside patio. They serve food and speciality cocktails along with your classic full bar service. The Mac and cheese was SO GOOD. The owner is super friendly and provides great service.

Nachos

The happy hour menu is such a steal! $5 draft, $6 well drinks, and $9 wine from 4-6:30 pm!! Got a glass of their Cabernet and it was filled to the brim. The place almost looked like a speakeasy with a small side entrance. But the coziest vibes inside and some nice jazz playing in the background. The nachos were a steal on the hh menu as well! Topped with plenty of queso and guac, I was a fan! Was a nice snack to share with the table and munch on while sipping on some drinks:)

Chill local watering hole. Feels like a hidden gem and will definitely be back. The patio is nice and private and there are plenty of board games on the shelf too. We didn't get any food, but the flatbread they were serving smelled amazing. We got two house cocktails: The Password and The Blind Tiger. Can't wait to try the others!

True dive bar. Nice day to sit outside and we got a table. Brisket sandwich was tasty but tough. The fresh hot cookies were really good.

This was my first experience with a "do it yourself" tasting room. If you haven't seen one before,…read moreyou provide them your credit card first to open a tab and they notice you a plastic card like a hotel key that you use to serve yourself how much and whatever kinds of beverages they have on tap. There is a wall of glasses in different sizes to suit your needs and over 50 beers, ciders, ales, kombuchas. Etc. on tap to explore at your own pace! They didn't have any food to purchase but they were making fresh popcorn available to munch and cleanse your palette for feee. We used the small tasting glasses to try a variety of their offerings and look forward to coming back for more! They have TV's so you can watch the game and the day we were there there was a painting class going on that had the whole room packed. So, if you're looking for a low key way to host a group where alcohol is available they are clearly a great option! Give them a try!

I'm first and foremost a kombucha girly, so I tried a few of them before getting a full glass of what I really liked. I also had a glass of a dark beer that I really liked with lots of notes of chocolate and coffee. They also had an alcoholic lemonade that was super dangerous at like 12% and super sweet. The food selection is lacking, but we did order a pretzel that come with a yummy and spicy cheese sauce. The ambiance is really chill, clean, and has a cool swing set. When we were Yelping where we should go for a light bite and some drinks-- all the other spots around us weren't giving us the vibe that Tapster did. Service was great, it was my first time so they explained how the cards work and encouraged us to try different things and how all of the taps were organized. Don't forget to leave you drink card in the box before you leave!

Came in on a Friday night and learned that Old Stove Brewing gets busy for a reason! All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

They gave us these post cards to write down our individual drinks. FYI - this place requires using your smart phone to scan a QR code for the menu. We ordered 2 apps (salmon dip with pita chips & chips and cheese dip) I ordered fish and chips. Buddy got the meat loaf. Our beer showed up quick. Waiter always checked on us often. Our apps showed up and they were both delicious. Then 5 minutes later our main dish orders showed up. Wasn't too happy with that because we wasted time to taste our beers and snack on the apps. They need to work on their timing. Need at least 10 minutes in between the beer and apps. The food overall is admittedly top notch. Fish and chips FRESH! The fish was juicy and the fried crust was perfection. Pieces were large. They will ask if you want 3 or 4. 3 is enough. If they can work on timing the drinks and food this place would be a 5 out 5, but will deduct a star because of that. The overall vibe of the place was nice. Huge layout with wooden picnic style tables. Outdoor tables if you're lucky to get one. Large tanks to brew beer surrounding the room and a merch table.

They are kid and dog-friendly, too. We ordered an NA IPA (which they have on tap!) and their hop water (comes in a can). Both beverages were absolutely delicious. I love that this place is NA-friendly. They offer some light snacks and free pretzels, which is awesome for a brewery without a kitchen. There is a food truck on site, but it was closed when we visited. No worries, though, you can bring outside food, which is perfect since there are plenty of great restaurants in the area. I asked the bartender if they brew at this location, and he said they've moved all brewing to a different location in Seattle, but it's still super fresh and tasty beer all around. This is a spot worth visiting in Seattle or getting together with a large group for a few drinks. Plenty of choices for everyone!

Smattering variety of beer (1-2 offerings per "kind" of beer, non-alc included), so I'd say this place is more for vibes and location, rather beer-focused. That being said, the vibes were good! Random barrels and umbrellas, as well as maybe 10 or so picnic tables across the two outdoor patios (dog-friendly). Saw they also have private event space off to the side. Plenty of indoor seating as well.

Came here the past couple Fridays to get my weekend started and closing out a work week. The…read moreambiance here is intimate and the music isn't too loud which is great while sipping some beers. There are several beers and some ciders on tap from all around and all the ipa's I've tried here have been pretty decent. from there you grab your brew and have a seat at high top tables within the tap room. Again, the setting is mid-sized good for a couple groups of four and a few two person tables. Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. Perhaps on subsequent visits It will improve, and I can boost the score here, but besides the decent beers and setting, it's just OK here.
