These people are very disorganized, pushing delivery ordes back when dine-in customers come in. Today I tried the panang, and although it was a tad thinner the I personally prefer the dish as a whole was on point for me. The flavor was amazing and the chicken was good quality. Sorry, but the "fast casual" idea is now getting over on consumers. While it once meant reasonably priced and decent grub, it now means: 1. We don't have to pay for servers/staff. 2. It was fine. The place looks cute. Firstly, the entrees came before the spring rolls and the soup. The spring rolls were poor. Thick rolls and little in the way of flavorful vegetables. It wouldn't surprise me if these were bought frozen and they only deep fried them in house. Little flavor, certainly nothing to be proud of. The soup was fine, verging on four stars. The entrees were ok. While they were piping hot, I was extremely confident that they were microwaved, so, nothing to be siked about. I don't make reviews on here very often. A business really has to WOW me in order for me to take the time to do it. This place did just that. I ordered on a whim when a sudden craving for Thai food came over me. I had never heard of this place even though it was roughly 5 minutes from where I work. The first thing that attracted me was the prices. For ordering on a Friday night, they were definitely more reasonable than some of the other restaurants in town. I ordered the chicken pad Thai which was only $10.99! And the Tom Ka soup that was $4.99. Both portions were easily enough for two people, or in my case some tonight and some tomorrow. I asked for medium spice and it packed a punch in a good way. I have found a lot of places in the DC area don't know how to do the Thai spice properly. It's either too much or not enough. This place nailed it! I 100% will be back soon! The only challenge, is parking. It's right on Wisconsin Avenue and I happened to luck out because somebody was pulling out of a spot. Not really what I expected. I've never been to a Thai restaurant where you walk up and order your food and sit down. Kind of like a chipotle type vibe if you ask me. The food was not authentic, very watery, lacking in flavor and I ended up having food poisoning when I left this establishment. This place just opened up recently and they are getting better at their game! There is enough seating in here. You serve yourself water. We've gotten take out in the past and it was ready when we got here. I think they have the set up right, they just need to move the pick up to go sign over to the counter where take out is lined up and hurry up with check out. We've had their Thai dumpling appetizer which is really good. The pad Thai here is amazing and their tom yum noodles is spiced just right. It's true that it is a local family own place and they do a great job in trying to keep up. Just fyi, the Curry is very well seasoned but you might want to get it to go and just add more rice at home. You also might need to wait for your food but It is so tasty that it is worth it!! Another thing is that they might want to place a container out for dirty dishes. I was excited to see a new Thai restaurant had opened. That excitement quickly changed to utter disappointment after my first visit. On my lunch break, I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, for take out, at 12:36pm. At 1:00pm I inquired about my order again to see if I had somehow missed it? No, I was reassured that my order is still being made. I finally received my order at 1:09pm, over 30 minutes to dish up a bowl of Pad Thai! I asked to speak with the manager, as this is completely unacceptable for a supposed fast casual lunch take out. The manager refused to talk to me, apparently too busy for even basic customer service. Don't order if you work at NIH. I ordered food and the driver wouldn't come on campus. A separate order from my coworker that I wanted to combine, which they didn't read the notes and do, so it went separately. When he couldn't bring it on campus , I called and asked if out of the kindness of their hearts would they add a pad thai since we ordered $150 worth of food and I was about to be the only one without food now. She said she would check. The order came and no pad thai, we had to walk off campus to get it. I get the argument of a third party driver system however as an act of good faith they could have given an extra meal. I have to preface I really like the food here, but DO NOT Order here during COVID-19. They have no standard procedures in place. The person taking the order felt like it was too much to ask for the food to be placed in my trunk and said "maybe" if it wasn't too busy or she wasn't on the phone. After taking the order the woman hung up the phone. I had to call back to ask them to take my credit card over the phone. When I arrived I called the store and they brought the food to my car and placed it in the trunk. The man then opened my passenger door and told me I needed to sign and passed me a credit card receipt and pen WITH NO MASK. I quickly signed just to get the man out of my car. Pretty decent fast casual Thai place which the Bethesda strip was definitely lacking. Whereas the papaya salad was lacking having had the real deal before, the shrimp salad was interesting and tasty, something I wouldn't expect to see on a fast casual menu. The Thai curry puffs were a bit disappointing compared to others I've had before. Everyone seemed to be a big fan of the drunk noodles, though. I've been going to this place for both carryout as well as eating in since it opened. The food has been good enough for me to keep going back regularly, however, today, I had a terrible experience with the lady behind the counter, I know she's not the owner because I know the lady who owns the place and I'd never seen this woman before today. Today I placed a pickup order, and usually, they put pick up orders on the counter with the receipt which has your name printed on it stapled to the bag, you'd then walk up to the counter and look for your name and pick up your order, the person behind the counter says hello and acknowledges the pick up with a friendly gesture and you're done. Not today, I arrived at the restaurant, there was one customer at the counter and a couple of to-go bags sitting on the counter. Without interrupting the customer who was already in conversation with the lady behind the counter, I casually turned one of the bags around to look for my name when in my shock the lady behind the counter almost slapped my hand and verbally accosted me for interrupting her while she's attending to another customer! I hadn't even opened my mouth at this point and even the poor customer was shocked at her aggressive and rude behavior towards me, she actually apologized to me which was very sweet! Needless to say, today they lost a long-time customer and I felt I should share my experience so perhaps they'll read this and learn that this is not the way you treat your customers, especially during a pandemic! read more

Having lived in Asia for 9 years, with trips to Thailand, I was excited by reading the web site and hearing they used authentic Thai ingredients and techniques. We ordered som tum, green curry, Ka Prow, Thai dumplings, Chicken Lo Mein ( Yes I know it is not Thai), Tom Ka and wonton soup. Every dish was sickeningly sweet, unlike authentic Thai cuisine.
