Service as usual was extremely fast and friendly and the place is always nice and bright. Hubby and I shared the green papaya salad, slow braised pork and Thai crispy basil pork. The Thai crispy basil port was a bit insipid. It didn't have its usual oomph. It was not crispy and just didn't taste fresh. Picked up Chicken Satay app and Pad Thai w Pork carry out. The restaurant is small but lots of tables and a 6-8 stool bar and separate carry out kiosk. The interior was extremely clean and my order was taken right away. The Chicken Satay was very good and the peanut dipping sauce was needed for additional flavor. The Pad Thai w Pork was outstanding but very very little pork mostly noodles. Overall, it was decent I thought. I got a dinner delivered to celebrate Memorial Day. Here's what I ordered: For an appetizer, I got the E-san Sausage; For a rice dish, I got the Siriwan Fried Rice Combination; For the main entrée, I got the Crispy Basil (one of their specialties); and, for a side dish, I got a serving of rice (jasmine I think). There are so many little things to discuss! First the delivery was OUTSTANDING!! Honestly, it was probably one of the best delivery experiences I've ever had in this area. It arrived 20 minutes earlier than I requested and the food was piping hot and completely intact. AND it was delivered towards the end of the evening which generally, for most restaurants, is customarily on the tail end of quality. Not this time though!! It went through Chownow instead of Grubhub or Doordash, so maybe that was part of it. I was a tiny bit disappointed since they didn't include the utensils I requested. I was a little impressed that they included an extra side of rice. The online menu was very intuitive. (I used the menu on Siriwan's website since it allowed my to schedule the delivery a few days in advance) The dish descriptions were crystal clear, so I knew EXACTLY what I was ordering. Many dishes had 7 spiciness options: --not spicy --mild --medium --spicy --thai spicy --thai extra spicy --super thai spicy My first impression was one of tremendous gratitude, since my few past experiences with Thai food were that it was all forebodingly spicy. Honestly, I don't mind spicy food, just so long as the zestiness doesn't completely drown out the flavor. I didn't want to compromise the authenticity of the dishes, so Just to be safe, I picked "spicy", since that was the middle option. When I tasted each of the dishes, the thing that impressed me so much was also the thing that disappointed me. It turned out that every single bite was spicy, it was very uniform in taste and intensity. This could only happen (as well as the varying spice options), if the spice were applied with a powder or an oil. I'm no expert in cooking or Thai cuisine, but I think authentic spiciness comes from the ingredients, like peppers. It seems fabricated if the spiciness is just kind of added as an afterthought. I kind of chose poorly for the spiciness level. For my palette it was almost the perfect intensity, but not quite. Next time, I'll go with "medium". Entirely my mistake. Anyway, I when I realized the source of the spiciness, I was compelled to ask myself, "what would it taste like if these dishes weren't spicy at all?" So let's go through it: The e-san sausage was very good, it had a nice, yet simple sweetness to it. If this were a main dish, I could see myself ordering it. The fried rice was pretty much exactly what you'd expect, although the cut of the meats were a little large compared to most other restaurants--which I LOVED!! The crispy basil was basically just general tso's chicken coated with several soggy basil leaves (very subtle basil flavor). Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it greatly; no disappointment there. But i was just expecting something more exotic and complex The overall impression for me was this was just Chinese fast food (albeit very tasty) with a few flourishes to make it seem like authentic Thai food. **MINUS 1 STAR** The other thing worth noting is the value. I spent a subtotal of $73.95 for these three-ish dishes. Even with the spiciness I had a fairly hearty appetite. so I think the appetizer was large enough to feed 1 normal person, and the fried rice and chicken were each enough to feed 2-3 people. The side of plain jasmine rice was large enough to feed a half a person; really small container. I mean, that side was $4 and it was about 1 cup. If I went to the grocery store, I could buy a 5 lb bag for less than $7 Though I appreciate the portion size of the fried rice and chicken, I think that the overall quality of all the dishes didn't deserve such high price tags. **MINUS 1 STAR** As I said initially though, overall the food was delicious and I could see myself maybe ordering from them again! read more

If you're looking for great Thai food, look no further. This place has delicious food and great service. I've dined in a few times and have done take out. They pride themselves on using food from all 4 Thai regions and the dishes are authentic. My last visit, me and my guest both had the Panang Chicken. We paid $3 extra for veggies to be added also. The portions was generous and the curry was delicious - warmly spicy, but not overpowering. We also had a Spring Roll appetizers (4 in one order). These were tasty also - not greasy, nicely crunchy. For dessert, we tried their special on the board - it was a fried banana in rice flour and sesame, drizzled with a sauce (tasted like honey). This came with enough for 2 and was amazing. This place it so close to where I live, I'm surprised it has taken me this long to try it out and I'm so glad I did because they have pretty good Thai food. Im interested in coming back to try more things. My brother and I came in for an early dinner, so it was empty and peaceful. As dinner progressed, more tables started slowly filling up. The interior is cute. You can tell they had fun decorating the place and adding eclectic pieces around the restaurant making it unique to their own style. The curry puffs were so good that all I have left in front of me is an empty plate because I surely dig in too fast before I was able to take a photo. The spring rolls were filled with cabbage, which is not my preference, so I specifically would not order those again here, although they were still enjoyable! Let's see - Food - we started with the Siriwan version of Chicken wings. The sweet chili sauce was out of this world! Lunch - Singha Beer (lots of memories in the bottle for sure!). I lived in Thailand when I was a kid, so Singha is Beer in many aspects for me! Green Curry - there are three types of Thai Curry, Green is my favorite. Just found this little gem a while back and it's worth a visit. The inside is very nice, cozy, modern Thai look with a hint of heritage. I ordered the Spring Rolls, Pad Z Eaw, and Drunken Noodles with Thai Iced Tea. All of it was simply put, just amazing. I've been to Sirwan about 3 or 4 times now and I'll say it's good for Germantown to have another thai place to finally provide some company(healthy rivalry?lol) to Sabai Sabai. Some standouts from my visit have been the calamari, the grilled beef salad, kua kling. But my favorite dish might have been the crispy tilapia with the spicy basil sauce. It's a nice numbing spice level, but definitely do go thai hot, if you cannot handle spicy food. The chicken wings could be better. I've had thai chicken wings other places where it's fried and crispy but still doused in some sweet chili sauce concoction. Here the wings were just fried, and you are giving a dipping sauce to dip into. I much prefer the saucy version of thai chicken wings. All in all a good place and addition to the area. I love Thai food so we decided to come here for lunch after watching a movie. Inside, it's decorated nicely with pictures and sayings from Thailand. Our waitress came and we ordered fish cakes, calamari, crispy basil chicken, and crispy tilapia with spicy chili basil/garlic sauce. The fish cakes were really tasty. Slightly chewy but perfect to get your tastebuds going. The calamari was fried perfectly. Not too crispy or rubbery. The chicken was okay, wish it was a bit more tender. The tilapia was awesome and had tons of flavor. Very soft and melted in your mouth. Slightly spicy but the good kind of spicy. Their tables are awkwardly set, so seating will put you unnecessarily close to other tables. 3 of our 4 meals literally took 45 min to arrive (the restaurant was not busy at the time); and our 4th meal arrived 5 minutes later- and only after we reminded our server (it had been waiting under the lamps- she had just forgotten). We never got water refills. 4 (carefully counted) tiny napkins... the waitress/hostess? wore a crop top .. so every time she stoped at our table - her belly button visited with our meals. (Kinda off putting). For the food- the shrimp were large, but there were so few.. and the chicken was over cooked-and dry; but the flavors were good, and portions generous. I've been coming here every so often, and it always holds up. The drunken noodles are usually pretty tasty with some tomatoes and basil tossed in. It's a decent portion, and I typically have enough for a small lunch the day after! The pad thai is really my highlight for the place though - huge portion, noodles always done perfectly, and really, everything about it delicious! The appetizers are also pretty good. The fried tofu is a fun healthy (or at least I feel healthy eating it haha) app, but the moo yang pork skewer is the best!! The pork is always really soft and flavorful, and the sauce with it pairs well with a kick. The moo yang also comes with sticky rice, and if you eat it in-store, it comes in a cute little weaved basket. The curry puffs are my go-to, always crispy and packed with curried potatoes inside. The syrupy sauce that goes with it is also amazing. In terms of decor, it's really comfortable, and the wonderful large windows just gives it a warm and inviting vibe. Great for a casual date, family dinner, or even small group of friends. It's not huge, but always seems to have room for more when we go. Staff is also always really friendly and happy to help! It's across the Wegman's, so when it's warm, I can grab food here, and then walk over to buy things. If not, there's always a decent sized parking right in front of the restaurant. When i came in i enjoyed reading about the reason for the name of the restaurant and appreciated that they recognize and cook are "4 (geographical) sectors" of Thai food. As for our order, we got chicken larb, chicken pad Thai and chicken pad se yew. The chicken larb was super flavorful and not overly fish sauce-y. I was initially expecting the lettuce to be served on the side but it was on the bottom. It tasted good regardless, but I recommend getting rice to eat it with. The chicken pad Thai was a large serving and also well flavored. I really enjoyed the colored bits of tofu. Lastly the pad see yew. I'm definitely a bit of a snob with this dish and don't enjoy it as much when the noodles are too mushy and don't have the char from a wok. This dish delivered and I loved it. Super loved the drunken noodles. This has been one of my favorite dishes for a long time and something I compare thai restaurants against each other. I even asked for them to make it extra spicy or "thai" style. They certainly didn't disappoint there. Super delicious. We also ordered the Pad See Ew which was great with tofu. The part which wasn't the best was the vegetable spring roll. It was alright but could've had more crunch to them. The little bit of duck sauce that came with it was barely enough. My carry out orders are always carefully packaged and always accurate. We recently ordered the beef pad see ew, beef pad Thai, seafood green coconut curry, crispy basil duck, seafood tom yum soup, and pork drunken noodles. Everything was delicious and I love how you can customize your spice level. The currys are a must try. Definitely go with the green coconut one if you want a less spicy option. It was not crowded and the service was good. No problem at all hearing each other talk so the noise level was adequate. One friend brought her 10 year old son with her. My GF and I were in the area to buy flowers for Mother's Day! While we were out, we figured we would grab a bite to eat. After checking out Yelp reviews and reading about the restaurants nearby we chose Siriwan 4 Sectors Thai. This turned out to be a great decision!! I got my usual favorite, Curry Chicken and a side of Curry Puffs. Can you tell that I love Curry? Lol Anyway, everything tasted amazing!!! The Curry puffs were the best I've ever had! The outside was flakey and delicious, the inside was sweet and flavorful! I loved them, easily 10/10 on the puffs!! The Curry chicken was also very good, especially the sauce. Yum!!! Aside from the excellent food, the team here was very helpful and polite. I enjoyed looking at the pictures from the different areas in Thailand. Maybe one day I'll get to see them in person. I called up Siriwan on Christmas Day because I needed to feed a house full of family members. Since I was in the Clarksburg area my sister recommended Siriwan. We ordered two orders of the chicken Panang curry (spicy), the Ka Pow (Thai spicy), and one order of the Basil Fried Rice (spicy). I usually reserve ordering my dish Thai spicy because that means a different thing to different restaurants. Sometimes the dish will light your mouth on fire and other times it's quite bearable. The Panang curry was quite mild and could have been a lot hotter to even be deemed spicy. Because I did carry out I didn't have the luxury of the spice tray either. Okay so if the Panang was mild than the Ka Pow should be intense right? Unfortunately not. In terms of flavors it was all done correctly, the right amount of coconut milk, basil leaves, and perfectly sautéed vegetables. I just wished they had turned up the heat more, after all when I order Thai I want to be sweating by the end of the meal. I will try Siriwan again and ask for extra extra spicy next time. read more

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. My ever favorite shrimp pad Thai was prepared on point. Tasty, not dry nor soggy. I could eat it every meal every day! Our friends tried the pineapple fried rice and eggplant dish. They were yummy too! Our friends introduced me to the original Siriwan Thai in Gaithersburg and that was awesome.
