We have been coming here for years, and it is our favorite in the area. We went in last night and it was closer to closing, but it still did not disappoint at all. The outdoor seating is nice and the whole experience has a nice vibe. Inside can be a little bit loud, but that is to be expected. The food has always been outstanding. I used to get drunken noodles but have now tried many things on the menu. My new favorite is the Lad Na, which is amazing. If you like duck, the duck roll is extremely good as an appetizer. We have tried most of the appetizers and honestly cannot pick one over the other, so it just depends on that evening and what we are in the mood for. Service is always awesome and the servers are fast and very friendly as well. If you go on a busy night, like a weekend, or during the dinner rush, parking can be a little bit tricky so you may need to walk a distance, which we are fine with.

    Pad Mixed Veggie with chicken

During my lunch break I decided to order Pad mixed veggie with chicken through DoorDash. It was so comforting on a rainy day, it had just the right amount of saltiness and it balanced well because the rice is not salty. You could drink the juice like soup per say

Finally came around to trying this place and it was good! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Here's what we got: Crispy whole fish (rockfish): 10/10. This was delicious! Perfectly fried and meaty and the sauce they serve it with paired well with the fish. Chicken Satay: 9/10. The chicken was very moist and not dry like most places make them. The peanut sauce was DELISH. Perfect amount of sweetness and texture. Yum! Beef stir fried with veggies: 7/10. The beef is beefy, didn't really like the flavor and it was mostly veggies than meat. Although I wasn't too fond of the beef dish, everything else was delicious and you can really tell they use quality ingredients. Highly recommend if you're looking for a satisfying meal and great service to match!

Pad Thai, Crispy Pork Belly **

Great pad Thai, excellent amount for serving. Spicy Pork Belly was great as well, the spice isn't too spicy but is enough to flare up the nostrils. The portion size could be better, about 10 pork pieces that is overloaded with vegetables. I would recommend this place.

i ordered lemongrass chicken and a cup of ice )i had a can of ginger ale in my car) to go, and it was so good. it comes with rice which is awesome, and the service was very accommodating and good. the restaurant looks nice too, i would love to go back and eat at the restaurant with some friends.

Best Thai restaurant in the area - crab Rangoon is yummy. Curries rice noodle dishes. Been here a half dozen times. The dining area is nice for sit down dining. Trying their seasonal pumpkin (red) curry and stir fry dish.

It had been a while since we frequented Thai Tanium and they were quite busy on Friday night! We started with our favorite appetizer there: the duck roll which is always delicious. I ended up picking something I had never tried before: Khao Kha Moo, which is on their special menu. This is an incredibly herbal dish, so aromatic and fragrant. The meat was tender and delicious. The mustard greens were also a nice surprise. It's a whole day after having this meal and I'm still thinking about it!

We ordered takeout from Thai Tanium and I can say Thai never disappoints! The chicken satay was delicious, shoutout to the peanut sauce! We got two chicken dishes that were also very good! The flavors were there and very on par! The mango sticky rice was also good, the mango was a bit soft though. Overall a great option if youre in the mood for quick thai food!

    Pad Thia with chicken
    Yvonne B.

Order the Phad Thia and a side of Bikini shrimps. The Pad Thai is a little bland, and I was surprised that they didn't ask the level of spiciness I wanted, but the bikini shrimps were delicious, good-sized shrimps as well. My option tonight was take-out instead of dining in, which there are plenting of seating inside. Hiwever, they do get a lot of take out orders thru Doordash and Uber Eats deliveries, and their service is fairly quick. Since this was my first time ordering takeout, I'd like to have the dine in experience and explore other menu options because this is one of the most popular Thia restaurants in this neighborhood.

This restaurant is one of my favorites. We were there for Mother's Day weekend and they had a special for $30. You could get an appetizer and entrée and dessert but the dessert were these fried bananas that were not good. The restaurant was pretty busy and our waitress was nice. we ordered a lot of fun things from fried tofu triangles to satay chicken to papaya salad. I will say the papaya salad was pretty spicy and no one could eat it at the table. I did send it back and received the chicken satay which was excellent. I also ordered the fried tofu pad Thai and fried tofu with string beans. both were really good. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five was, the papaya salad being too spicy and not seeing our waitress for most of the dinner and having to get someone else to help us.

Honestly this place is a good old standby for quality Thai food. They have all the favorites but they also have specials regularly like soft shell crab, crispy pork belly and sometimes whole fish. Typical Asian food service which is not what you go there for but friendly and prompt enough. Our friends are gluten free and it's their favorite. Full bar too so that's always a plus and you can add Boba to the Thai ice tea! PS never skip the mango sticky rice...

    Pad Thai (chicken)
    Angel P.

I scheduled a takeout and they completed my order 20 minutes before the scheduled time. The pickup process was quick and easy. I got a chicken pad thai. It was good, but not my favorite pad thai. I look forward to trying other dishes. I would rate it a 3.5/5, rounding up to a 4/5. It's reasonably priced and better priced than some other thai restaurants around the area. It's located in Kentlands so there's plenty of parking available.

    Drunken Noodles with Chicken
    Tiffany T.

Thai Tanium is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area! I've gotten Pad Thai, Pad see ewe, drunken noodles, chicken satay, and mango sticky rice multiple times and everything is really good! The entree portions are big too and can be split into 2-3 meals. I also really like the ambiance of the restaurant. It's nicely decorated and feels open. It smells like Thai spices and stir fry every time I walk in and that's what tells me the food is delicious. I recommend creating an account for ordering from their website because they almost always send a 10% coupon code after every order.

Ordered the beef combo knife slice noodle soup, pork soup dumplings, pork wontons with homemade spicy sauce, and the pan fried pork buns. The pan fried pork buns were the clear MVP here, perfectly crispy on the outside with that satisfying crunch, but soft and fluffy inside. Super filling too, which is always a win in my book. The beef noodle soup was solid comfort food with good portions, and the dumplings hit the spot. Only minor thing - I wished the "spicy sauce" had more kick to it. Could've used some extra heat, but that's me being picky. For the price and portion sizes, this place delivers (pun intended). You're getting a solid amount of food that actually tastes good. Would definitely order again, and those pork buns are going to be a repeat item for sure.

I got the Scallion Oil Noodles - chewy, hand pulled noodles in a smooth oil dressing. Pair it with the chili oil kimchi for a nice contrasting crunch. My favorite, however, was the Tofu with Century Egg Salad - a small bowl with cubes of soft tofu and quartered century egg and chili oil. Lots of textures and tastes thrown into a tiny little bowl. Be careful - as proof that this place is authentic, their "vegan" vegetable tofu noodle soup is served in beef broth. But once you hammer out the details of the ingredients, the taste is worthwhile. Plenty of others feel the same way - we arrived when they just opened for the day, so we got a seat, but by the time we left, there was a line out the door.
