    Black milk Bubble Tea
    Victoria E.

I decided to pop by to pick up dinner on my way home. I tried entering from the back but it's closed, likely because they closed the dining area. It's just a takeout place it seems. Upon entering, the menus are laid out for you to go over at the counter. Unfortunately the prices are not on the menu and the prices I saw on their online menu are not updated. There's a 5% discount if you pay with cash. I ordered and was told the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes, but I think it was done a lot sooner. The sauces and utensils are on the side beside the counter. I ordered the Szechuan Beef, combination fried rice and black boba milk tea. The food was good but ordinary, like any other Chinese spot. The Szechuan beef dish came with more onion, carrots and green pepper than it did the actual meat; also, it wasn't spicy at all. There's a chili pepper next to it on the menu to indicate that there's some spiciness there but it's ok, I'll just let them know to make it spicier next time. As a boba fanatic, I ordered the boba because any time I see it somewhere, I have to get it. The tea they used tasted like authentic Chinese tea so it was pretty good! Boba texture was also good, but the boba side was small so it definitely could've been a choking hazard. Overall the tea was good but a bit too sweet for my liking.

    Beef and Beef With Broccoli

Ordered a large of beef & broccoli, paid 15 bucks for this small container (looks like a lunch special), and it was not even full. There is more broccoli than beef, taste just okay, price is not justified with portion size.

Loved their chicken fried rice. It was perfectly hot without burning your mouth and tasted so good. It wasn't salty or bland. The honeydew bubble tea I got was a bit too sweet, and when I finished drinking the tea, there was a residual substance at the bottom all over the pearls. I think it's the powder mixed together with the tea, but in a more solid form. It was a bit phlegm-y in texture. Sorry for the graphics. It was not a pleasant texture when I consumed a part of it. The pearls were ok. Slightly firmer than I'd like but it's consumable. This cafe is located across the Japanese restaurant.

Any Marylander of the Boomer and GenX generation knows about O'Donnell's RUM BUNS. I used to come here with family back in its heyday and these were served table side before our meal. How crazy is that, a nice lil somewhat sinful dessert BEFORE some MD crab?! Those were the days! The rum buns are more nostalgia more than anything, I wouldn't say they'll blow your socks off, but hey, nostalgia is nostalgia. Well, I'll need to dine in here for a full and complete verdict, but my quick grab and go visit was a tad chaotic. Service for taking orders could improve - you walk in, there's a seafood counter to your left, bakery counter to your right (both were unmanned when I walked in) and in the middle is a deli section with the cash register where I assume they take orders. We stood there for a few good minutes before getting anyone's attention despite the fact a manager asking staff (not customers) if everyone was being helped. Clearly staff did not know who was waiting to check out, take orders or just waiting for their orders to arrive. So it was just weird. No one greeting you as you walk in either, it just also weird because there's no clear line anywhere you stand. Otherwise, rum buns were as I remembered them. Also picked up crab dip and chicken salad from the grab and go section from the back and they were just ok, not bad, not great. So will come again for a future visit hoping to have a much better meal and experience!

On this visit, we both got selections like what we had around our early times of visiting this spot. I cannot remember what my friend got, but I ordered one of the "Feasty Specials" which had 1/2 Snow Crab Legs and 1/2 Headless Shrimp. It came with sausages (sliced in pieces), 1 Corn (about 1/4 size), 1 Egg, and 2 Potatoes (the skin easily comes off). You get to pick the seasoning and I had Old Bay. What is presented to you is a large clear bag, steamed up and tied, with seasonings and all mixed up. It is served on a metal tray, and they also place an empty bowl on your table for discarding things. Plastic bib was on, bag opened, and I was ready to dig in. The seasoning took me back to my second visit a few years ago. It was when I first tasted their Old Bay mix and became a fan of it. This Feasty Special was just enough and I was glad to switch things up for a change.

Overall, the food is good, and, in our opinion, you do get what you pay for. Keep in mind that they DO charge you if you have leftover food on your table when you are done. Be mindful of that and make sure to let them know as you are finishing up, and want more, to scale down your portion size. There is a 90-minute window to eat. The servers don't really go over the menu much, so if it is your first time for all you can eat, make sure to take notice that the crab legs do come with a few different flavor options. The bad - They started a new policy, which I understand, but do not like. If you want all you can eat, everyone who is at the table must all order it as well, or nobody can. I understand they are protecting their profits, but that has taken us away from this place on more than one occasion to eat elsewhere as some wanted it and another family members wanted to order off the main menu. Also, service can be extremely slow, and I am not sure if it is intentional or not, but we have complained more than once and made them extend our time. Last time we went, they set our first order of food down on the table and as we were eating, the waitress walked by no less then 5 times and didn't bother to ask if we wanted anything else. Then, magically, when our food was gone, we could not get anyone to come to the table for 15 minutes. Upon ordering our next round, it took another 20 more minutes for the food to arrive. They are sticklers about the 90-minute time frame, and we explained that twice this has happened and 60 minutes of our 90 minutes was wasted waiting on a server and then the food took forever. They allowed us one more round of food, which we appreciated and thought was fair. We start a stopwatch now and if we feel things are going slow, we address that with the server and sometimes put in a new order when the food is being dropped off. Overall, we are pleased to come here a few times a year. We only get all you can eat and usually are happy when we leave. The food is inconsistent as we do get the lobster tail with all you can eat, and it is usually overcooked and can chew like rubber, but still has good flavor. The crab legs sometimes come out waterlogged with salt, but most times piping hot. This is your typical "average" 3-star restaurant. If you are prepared to spend the money for all you can eat, you will leave satisfied and full, but never will you think "I wish I could come here every week". I have not ordered specific entrees off the regular menu so I cannot speak on portion size or quality of the food by ordering that way. Staff is always pleasant, but you do need to get on them if they are slacking.

We both said that we were going to try it on our next visit. Cooper's Hawk Winery is an upscale, fast casual dining experience that pairs wine with each of their food entrees. I really like how the chef highlights his monthly specials. We started off with the blackened ahi tuna. It was fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the wasabi sauce for dipping. It brought out the umami flavor of the tuna. I ordered the chef's special very berry sangria. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, but not a noteworthy drink. My main dish was the blackened skirt steak salad. The steak was perfectly cooked and I loved the salad with fresh lettuce, tomato, and crispy onion straws. The ranch dressing was amazing! My friend didn't like her pasta dish and they were really nice about switching her order to jambalaya. We ordered two show stopping desserts. The flourless chocolate cake was phenomenal! The cake was served with fresh whipped cream and strawberry sauce. We were scraping the last bits off of our plates. Our second dessert was a chefs special the summer peach butter cake. It had macerated blackberries, brown- butter roasted peaches, peach custard, and white chocolate almond crumbles. It was light and fresh without being too heavy. A wonderful summer dessert. Our waitress was fabulous and very nice. The whole team in the restaurant works together to meet your needs. We had a lot of fun and definitely will go back soon.

The bar had seating and the bartender Allison C was super attentive, chiming in with those at the bar and suggesting the CHMX wine which was spot on. I met a retired pharmacist at the bar who was struggling with seasonal allergies like myself. By the end of the conversation she had given me real advice for my next doctor's appointment. The kind of exchange that you never plan for but will always remember! Those at the bar and the families in the surrounding booths were engaged in the game. Not super loud but the kiddos with their parents were super excited to watch. Cooper Hawks created a laid back atmosphere where the community vibes make you comfortable talking with those around you. I frequent the Annapolis location but this location certainly made a statement. Certainly a gathering place worth showing up for.

The shrimp (3 large) were good. The spinach had a nice garlic flavor and the asparagus was well prepared - not mushy. The chicken Marsala also was good. The Marsala was light (not thick) and somewhat sweet. Very good. Honestly, the bread service was pretty disappointing. Our last visit the bread was fine, but this basket was pretty dried out and almost seemed stale. The oil accompanying the bread had almost no cheese in it.
