Seaweed infused fish filet

The restaurant is located on a side street- off the beaten path. We ordered takeout however a small dine-in area is available with basic offerings/simple decor. The lady who took our order was nice and friendly. We ordered the deep fried prawn with salted egg yolk. The shrimp was plump and delicious! My husband enjoyed the home style bean curd since he loves spicy foods. The seaweed infused fish also was good. Crab Rangoon was as expected.

Nice neighborhood restaurant with simple decorations. The service was attentive and friendly, the portions were generous, the prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. Complimentary pickled vegetables were served before the meal: turnips and carrots, crunchy and tasty, really good. 4*Roast Duck 明爐火鸭: juicy, crispy and tasty even without the sauce. 4*Roast Pork Belly脆皮烧肉: lean and soft, very good. 4*Assorted Meat & Seafood w. Bean Curd in Hot Pot八珍豆腐煲: mixtures of ingredients. 4*Seaweed Infused Fish Fillet苔條魚片:crispy and tender at the same time, but it is Hey an acquired taste, not everyone likes seaweed taste. 4*Hong Kong Style Wonton Dumpling Soup淨雲吞: shrimp filed wonton, pretty good.

I didn't know this place existed before this week. It took me a bit of circling around at the Kentlands to locate it. It's on one of the side streets from Main. So it's not really visible from the main street and the signage is barely high enough over any parked SUVS. Color of the signage also blends with the brick color of the building. I stopped by because I had heard that the chef that used to run the Hong Kong BBQ food stall at New York Mart is now one of chefs at Ming's. I've been craving his roast pork so had to go and get some! Still has that hoisan flavor I've been craving. Also got a whole roast duck and it was tasty. Skin was crispy and lots of the fat was rendered. There's a small window that has the roast meats hanging. So you can see/select what you want! It's got a handful of tables for indoor dining. They did have a couple tables outside. Not sure I'd dine in but at least it's got a few parking spaces out front for takeout pickup! Will be going again. Going Chef Mah stays for awhile and will offer roast pig on the weekends! Haven't tried anything else, but heard from others that the menu has changed a bit. With Chef Mah, it's more Hong Kong/Cantonese.

Small dinning room which can accommodate a party of 9 or so.

Looks like your aunts kitchen from 1975 and the staff is welcoming. Great variety as one can go very traditional with Taiwanese Dim Sum, Vietnamese soups, authentic Chinese, or Americanized standards. My wife loved the beef noodle soup. Just look at the rich color of the beef! She also enjoyed the soy milk with fried bread. Although I go purely Americanized dishes, and I started with Crab Rangoon, I went to the one of the authentic areas on the menu for Diced Chicken in Hot Peppers. Beautifully fried small bites of chicken infused with some mild heat and lots of flavor. As a drinker of Diet Coke, only having cans instead of fountain soda was a bit of a downer. Placed behind the old dinner in Kentlands, Ming's is an unassuming gem.

Very bland and greasy food, rather disappointing dinner! But portions were decent but even the dumplings were I overcooked.

Everything. I emphasized how I wanted the food prepared and they totally blew it. And what they prepared was grossly mediocre at best!!!!

Worst place ever food was bad, service even worse. We all had a bad stomach ache and headache after due to the saltiness of the food.

Our food came fresh and so satisfying. We had taiwanese chicken popcorn and braised pork on top of rice. The restaurant offers variety of taiwanese food. I ordered the Taiwanese style "Popcorn chicken" and once it was done, I sat down right away to take a bite. I took three bites and it was so flavorful and all of a sudden I realized when I looked at the chicken it wasn't cooked and raw. I then thought it was just me and took two more bites of the chicken and realized some of the chicken were raw and some were cooked. I was so sad inside. I let the owners know right away and they said would you like us to make you another one. I felt uncomfortable to eat it again and said no thank you I would just like my refund. They asked me if I wanted anything else and I said no thank you. I was just sad because I wanted to really enjoy what I ordered and my stomach felt sick after knowing I ate raw chicken bites when it ate into the chicken. Sadly it was very important for me to write this review because I did get sick from what I ate and have not felt good for the rest of today till the evening. Pleaseeeeee Check your chicken before you order and see if it was done.

But I gotta say, my all time favorite dish is the cucumber salad. OMG I could eat it all day everyday. It is just so perfectly seasoned, spicy, refreshing, ugh I loveeee it. The hand pulled noodles are always so good. We've had the noodle soup which is also so good. Literally everything they make is good And besides Bobs Shanghai, I am certain these are the best xiaolongbao I've had in MOCO! They are BIG, juicy, soupy, meaty and so yummy. I don't like that they always forget to give us the vinegar sauce but we ask for it anyways. Highly recommend!!

Ordered the beef combo knife slice noodle soup, pork soup dumplings, pork wontons with homemade spicy sauce, and the pan fried pork buns. The pan fried pork buns were the clear MVP here, perfectly crispy on the outside with that satisfying crunch, but soft and fluffy inside. Super filling too, which is always a win in my book. The beef noodle soup was solid comfort food with good portions, and the dumplings hit the spot. Only minor thing - I wished the "spicy sauce" had more kick to it. Could've used some extra heat, but that's me being picky. For the price and portion sizes, this place delivers (pun intended). You're getting a solid amount of food that actually tastes good. Would definitely order again, and those pork buns are going to be a repeat item for sure.

We came on a Friday night, and had to wait about 30 minutes for seating. The dining area is basically wooden chairs and tables. Not much ambiance, but that's not why you come here. We ordered scallion pancakes, soup dumplings, eggplant with basil, and noodles with chicken. I never had scallion pancakes. Nothing I would order again. I have nothing to compare, but I assume they're good. The dumplings were fantastic. The eggplant, which comes in three varieties, appeared to be a popular item with other guests. I guess it was good. I'm not a fan of saucy food. The noodles were fantastic. I feel like we ordered wrong, although my girlfriend picked everything except the noodles. This is not a place to visit if you're looking to lose weight. The hard sugar in the eggplant alone was more than I consume in two months. I'm probably not in the best position to rate our dinner as I avoid carbs and sugar. If I were to come back, I'd stick the noodles and revisit the menu to see if there is a solid chicken option. I came here hungry and left hungry as the food was not filling, and the sugar content sent my system into a bit of a shock. Nonetheless, if this cuisine is your thing, you won't be disappointed.

I got the Scallion Oil Noodles - chewy, hand pulled noodles in a smooth oil dressing. Pair it with the chili oil kimchi for a nice contrasting crunch. My favorite, however, was the Tofu with Century Egg Salad - a small bowl with cubes of soft tofu and quartered century egg and chili oil. Lots of textures and tastes thrown into a tiny little bowl. Be careful - as proof that this place is authentic, their "vegan" vegetable tofu noodle soup is served in beef broth. But once you hammer out the details of the ingredients, the taste is worthwhile. Plenty of others feel the same way - we arrived when they just opened for the day, so we got a seat, but by the time we left, there was a line out the door. If you haven't tried Chopin Noodle House yet, you're missing out!
