See the one roach to the left - near the receipt. Who knows how many were in the bag. We saw at least two crawling inside!
    Rick M.

We purchased carry out dinner 10/14/2024 - upon opening the bag, we were shocked to discover ROACHES in the bag crawling around. We contacted them immediately to alert them and they credited the purchase amount. Curious if they took the issue seriously - we called to see if they were open an hour later and also the next day. They chose NOT to close and continue to serve food. We will NEVER go there again!!! Never - totally disgusting Rick M. North Potomac, MD

Drunken Noodle, Mussamun Curry Beef, Sticky Rice with Mango, and Tom Kha Soup
    Boris W.

I ordered the following to go: drunken noodle, mussamum curry, mango with sticky rice, and tom kha soup. The mussamum curry was $19 for 4-5pieces of small beef cubes and 5-6 pieces of small potatoes. The taste was good. The curry mixed well with the generous portion of rice. The beef and the potatoes were pretty good. Unfortunately, $19 for a couple of small bites did not sit well with me. The drunken noodle for $14 was very good. The taste was great. There wasn't a lot of oil in the dish. The tomatoes and other spices mixed well within the dish. The chicken added an another layer of flavor. The mango with sticky rice at $10 was definitely problematic. The dish had very small rice ball with 6 small slices of mango. I know it's inflation and all.... But $10 for literally bits is not cool. Thank goodness the taste was great otherwise this dish would have been a 0-star disaster. The tom kha soup was $8. The taste was interesting. The overall flavor profile was rich and complex. There were a lot of tasty elements that combined nicely within the soup. As you all can see in the picture, it was $51 pre-tax, $54 post-tax for a VERY SMALL appetizer, a small soup, a small entree and a decent sized drunken noodle. I guess the restaurant is going for the tasty route because the portions are laughably small

I guess I'm in the minority here as I found Siriwan Thai to be just okay. I found the drunken noodles to not be "Thai spicy" as indicated even though I asked for it to be extra spicy. It was not only mild in spice, but just lacked flavor in general. This dish also didn't travel well (about a 15 min drive home) as the noodles were essentially one large clump when we got to eating it. It came with a decent amount of chicken that, again, lacked flavor. The pepper beef wasn't bad. The beef was tender and thankfully had good flavor to it. The brown sauce was good and I thought the peppers and onions were a nice touch to the dish. I do wish this dish was packaged better for travel though as a good amount of the sauce leaked by the time I got home. Out of the three dishes we ordered, the chicken Thai fried rice was the best. It was packed with flavor and had a good amount of meat in the dish. This was definitely a must if you visit Siriwan Thai. Service was friendly and my food was ready at the stated time. Parking is plentiful in the huge lot. With so many other Thai restaurants in the area, I don't think I'll be back to Siriwan Thai anytime soon.

I stopped by for an early lunch while I was in the shopping center. I perused their lunch specials. There are ten options and each lunch comes with a choice of one of their six appetizers. Their $12.95 lunch specials are only available at that price for dine-in on weekdays from 11:30-3:00 except for holidays. (Note the 11:00 time reflected on the menu is apparently inaccurate.) There is an additional $1.50 charge for to go orders. There is an additional charge of $3 for beef and $4 for shrimp. I decided on the Chicken Pad Z-Ew and Fried Dumplings. Both items were flavorful and perfectly seasoned. My only critique is that I thought that the dumplings were on the smaller size, but you can't beat an entree and appetizer for only $13. I was definitely full after finishing my meal. Granted I was the first patron at the restaurant, the food came out quickly and my server was super friendly. There was a discrepancy in their opening time online. He said they opened at 11:30 and I arrived earlier, but he seated me anyways and took my order. I definitely enjoyed my lunch and would happily return to try their other lunch specials.

Mango with sticky rice, Thai iced tea, Drunken Noodle with chicken (medium spicy)

I ordered delivery from Siriwan Thai and I'm so happy that I gave them a try! I got: -Drunken Noodle with chicken (medium spice level) -Thai Iced Tea -Mango with Sticky Rice The drunken noodles smelled and tasted delicious! It had the perfect amount of heat to it. It had a good kick to it and was not overbearing. The noodles and chicken were seasoned well and cooked perfectly! The fresh bell peppers also added a nice crunch to the dish. The Thai iced tea was perfect. Not too sweet and tasted amazing on a hot day :) And the mango sticky rice, which was for my friend, was great too! She did prefer there to be coconut milk on the sticky rice and the rice to not be artificially colored. Overall, everything was delicious and I would order from them again!

Roaches in my carry out bag!!!!!

This place has a roach infestation and they are not taking the legal or proper steps to remediate the situation. Staff and ownership are aware of their roach infestation and still have not shut down. I found roaches in my carry out food yesterday Oct 2024. Looks like they had a violation earlier this year for the same issue!! Gross. Such a shame because I use to love this place ... not anymore!!! Be safe and do not eat at this place because they are not protecting their customers!

We tried again and this time we got the dessert mango sticky rice! It tastes a little bit salty with coconut milk flavor plus fresh mango,we loved it! They provided decent service. Always provide us utensils for sharing and politely checking with us about the food. My wife likes this place! We would highly recommend it.

Our go to Thai place near home. Restaurant is a cozy little place that's tasteful decorated. Wait staff are very friendly and attentive. Food is consistently decent. Love their larb kai, basil duck, pineapple rice and sticky mango with rice

I really wanted to like this place and I may just give it another shot if I'm in the neighborhood. Came here with my son for dinner.. Pros -super friendly service -food was served quick and hot -decor was very cute and comfortable. We got to sit on the sofa with a table and my son loved that he got to lounge while eating his dinner. -the spring rolls were crispy and pretty basic -tvs for entertainment haha Cons -we ordered pad Thai and the drunken noodles.. Both were very greasy. You could see the oil on the bottom of the dish. The pad Thai noodles were old, all short, broken, and stuck together. The drunken noodles weren't as spicy as most Thai restaurants. It also lacked some flavor. I was surprised to hear the owner was in the back cooking.. As I was packing up the leftovers, I did get a chance to talk with the waitress about the food. She apologized, gave me a small discount on my meal, and thanked me for being honest. I think she handled the situation very well and with that I will return to try them again.

I enjoy eating Thai and cooking Thai very frequently. I came here after work one evening to get takeout, and ordered the chicken green curry. The curry had virtually no vegetables. A few green beans and about two slices of red pepper. The broth was so soupy, it tasted like chicken broth. Not at all the consistency and flavor (ginger, lemongrass, etc), that a Thai curry should have. I am so disappointed with this meal, and I would not recommend spending $13 on a meal that looks and tastes like it should be $5.

Whenever I get regular spicy at a Thai place I normally expect to be hit with a kick of spice that hits the tongue. Except here everything was just so sweet it made me somewhat nauseous. Most of the soup dishes had similar based of noodles, protein and herbs. Unless you enjoy overly sweet dishes this wasn't for me as I'd prefer a spicy yet savory kick in my Thai dishes with a slight sweetness. It shouldn't be overpowering. Papaya salad reg spice was sweet. No kick whatsoever. Just papaya shaving, some iceberg lettuce at the bottom and some halved grape tomatoes. Khao soi noodle soup a sweet curry broth. A bit too sweet. Also got it with a tempura chicken but it was mostly fried wonton skin and barely any chicken. Chicken was also dry and hard. Tom yum noodle soup A creamy yet spicy "tom yum" broth. It has somewhat of a kick but for regular spice level it was still too sweet. Even with all the red pepper flakes. It was also missing the lemon grass scent in most tom yum soups I'm used to. Thai noodle soup The only non-spicy dish. Broth was a clear base that was somewhat better after all the sweet dishes. But a little bland. Thai green tea was good though. Just a bit sweet but need to be drank with ice.

We tried the chive cakes, pad thai, and papaya salad. Great portions that all tasted good! Especially the chive cakes as they weren't too greasy and the papaya salad which was really refreshing. We each had the soup, which was seasoned well and had mushrooms and tender chicken. A decent soup. Not the best I've had, but good, and impressive as an accompaniment with the $12.95 lunch special. Several people in the restaurant had salads in front of them - the salads all looked good and were a nice size, with lettuce and carrot. I got the green curry with veggies. I was impressed by the amount and variety of veggies - green and red pepper, mushrooms, carrots and broccoli. The green curry sauce was spicy, but not overpowering. The rice that came with it was steamed white rice (which I'm thinking was over steamed, because it seemed to have absorbed a lot of water and was really boring). Unfortunately, the curry sauce, which was good, couldn't overcome the boringness of the rice. So instead of mixing the curry sauce in with the rice and eating it, I left about half the rice. It might make sense to opt for the brown rice, although it costs extra and might have the same issue depending on how it's prepared. My partner got the Pad La Pow with pork. They said it was very good, but not spicy as advertised. (It's advertised as having two stars of spiciness - the most on the menu). I'll try the place again. The soup was decent with a good amount of chicken, and the green curry was good with lots of veggies. Although I'll probably try something different to avoid the bland rice. The place is very nice inside. The server was excellent. We were seated next to a group where one of the individuals spoke very loudly, and the server came over discretely and asked if we'd like to move, which we did. And his service for the rest of the meal was very attentive (i drink a lot of water, and I judge a lot of service by how many times my water glass gets refilled - great job today) and friendly. The price point for the lunch special - $12.95, is excellent.
