I've been to this Thai restaurant many times. I love the authenticity of their food. I recently took my family there for lunch, and they loved it. The prices are affordable, and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff are amazing.
Haven't been here in a few years. We went during lunch on a Thursday. It wasn't busy with dine-in customers, but they had a lot of take-out. A very casual atmosphere with great service. Most of the dishes we ordered were on point for our palate. I like the Peking duck roll. I enjoyed the wrap/dough they use for the duck roll even though the roll fell apart. The wrap was flaky and had a good amount of duck in it. The crispy basil with squid was very good. The flavor of the basil went well with the chili sauce. The texture of the squid was perfect not rubbery. The beef fried rice was was mouthwatering. The rice was moist but not clumpy. There was a good amount of beef. The dish was seasoned well. The tamarind delight wasnt ba d. It reminds me of an American Chinese dish. The chicken was crispy, the tamarind sauce was ok. It was served with a bed of broccoli and the floret parts soaked up some of the sauce which I enjoyed. An overall good experience.
Still our go to spot for Thai food. The parking can be a bit difficult during high times like Friday night, but if you can get parking and a table, the hardest part of the night is over. The food here is great and not too overpowering. It can get spicy though so I would stick with level 2-3. Any higher and you'll sweat. I personally love the spicy eggplant at level 1-2 and the Plad Ttod with the red curry sauce at level 2 and the Kee Mao noodles at level 2. The Basil Fried rice is also a solid choice at level 2. The one thing I do have to commend to this place is the fact that they did not skimp on amount/pricing in this current economy. We have been coming here for several years now and besides the COVID increase in prices, they haven't increased any further. The service here is good and when it gets super busy, it is understandable to have to wait a bit, but overall great and love the staff. The inside is relaxing. It is a bit small, but it's not that big of a deal unless you're that table with 5 kids and 6 adults on a Friday night. Pretty much took up most of the restaurant. A lot of people tend to do take out here so there can be a bunch of people near the door, but don't be afraid. They might just be standing and waiting to grab an order to go.
When you ran out of time to that meat and cook dinner in a timely manner and want something cozy and warm what do you do? Go get Thai food of course! We're always excited to try a new Thai place (and compare who makes the best Tom Ka Gai) and I love sampling the different spice levels. After reading reviews I decide to start off trying the medium spice (#2 of 4 levels) with extra spice sauces brought out on the side. What we got: Curry Puffs - 5* the dough was fantastic! And it's made in house!! I *kinda* tried to get the recipe, but who am I kidding, I'll just come back and order it instead. We enjoyed doing the puffs into my curry (Gaeng Karee Goong) instead of the sweet sauce it comes with, though that was also good. Tom Ka Gai - 3* make sure to stir the soup before you take a sip! My first sip was pure coconut milk which was not what I wanted. After a quick stir though the soup base delivered a savory flavour. Unfortunately it quickly became too acidic. On top of that, we weren't fans of the chicken (too dry) or mushrooms (not cooked enough). Pad See Ew - 5* the flavour was divine, the broccoli crunchy (wishes there was more), the noodles perfect and the beef well done. Would definitely recommend this one. Gaeng Karee Goong - 5* tried the medium spicy (#2) and that with the temperature level was a glorious combination, runny nose and all. As the dish cooled down the spice seemed to even out. Not sure if I'll try spicy (#3) next time or not. Spice aside this dish was fabulous. The potatoes and onion hit the spot. The chicken still wasn't my favourite but it wasn't as dry as the soup's chicken so a win there.

The food was delicious, from the fresh piping hot spring rolls, pad thai, spicy panang curry, beef pad see ew, to their delicious desserts, the perfectly sweet mango sticky rice, freshly made fried banana roll and Thai ice tea with bubba. Plenty of food to share and take home for the next day. All meat was tender and everything was cooked to perfection.
The food is always amazing and taste to perfection. It is always very flavorful. I got the crispy Basil shrimp, Thai fried rice, Panang curry, and kapow Jae with shrimp soooo delicious!! A must order. Thank you for allll the amazing food
Happen to be in the area for work and jumped on Yelp to find some good eats, grabbed some takeout. Service - was friendly, courteous and food came out quick for pick up. And they will ask you spice level for each item. Food: Curry Puffs - very flavorful and well cooked highly recommend Papaya Salad - it was tasty and good, not the best I have had but solid. Small portions Basil fried rice with shrimp was seasoned well and tasty. I was looking forward most to the Garlic Basil Fried Chicken-- flavor was good but the pieces of chicken were very small and not much meat. Unfortunately couldn't eat right away so it got soggy so I highly recommend you eat in restraint or eat quickly as the steam will soften the chicken.. Large portion
This place is hidden gem off the highway where there's a dearth of authentic Asian food off of 270 between Frederick and Rockville. I was impressed by the decor as it certainly seems like a place that could be found in Thailand with authentic pieces. More than anything, the flavors were solid. The spices were on point as you'll have to ease off the gas pedal with the level of spice. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for lunch if you're in the area and needing hearty authentic grub.

Great Thai food! Small local spot in Gaithersburg, feels very hole in the wall. Busy when we came in so that was a good sign. Food is great and service is great as well. Ordered some Red Curry Chicken, Pad Thai and the Crispy Chicken. Everything tasted great and portions were huge! I will definitely be coming back. read more

If you want authentic, delicious Thai food in Gaithersburg this is the place to go. We got the Basil fried rice with chicken, Pad Thai with shrimp, and Crispy fried duck. It was incredible! Highly recommend! :) also service was great! read more

It's been a while since I've been to Thai House. I forgot how good their food is. I came here with a group of 14. Fortunately, we had made reservations. Three others and I shared the beef pad thai, Crispy Duck (spice level 2), Kee Mao/Drunken Noodles (spice level 2), and the Gaeng Karee with chicken (yellow curry, spice level 2). The pad thai was good, but it was a little too saucy. I'm more used to the dry pad thai. The crispy duck was delicious and crispy, but also very fatty. I don't think I can eat this as an entrée by myself. The drunken noodles and curry were my favorites of the night. The curry with chicken and potatoes was very flavorful. The drunken noodles comes with tiger shrimp and chicken. As usual, drunken noodles was a satisfying dish. Spice level 2 was just the right level of spiciness for me. For reference, I can handle siracha. I wanted to order the custard sticky rice for dessert, but they ran out of sticky rice so I went with the taro and coconut milk. It is a hot dessert. The taro is in mochi form. It was really good. The restaurant is small. It is best to make reservations, if you plan on eating here. read more

2.8.23 I saw that this restaurant had good reviews so was excited to try it. Unfortunately I have had better Thai in the county. I ordered a Thai iced tea, the Heavenly wings, and the chicken pad thai. The Thai iced tea was my favorite as it was sweet just how I like it. The heavenly wings were ginormous, bigger than my fork and as big as my head. No lie, see my photo. The wing was bland and lacked flavor. Also I didn't like that the skin was slimy. I don't think skin is normally still on wings. The batter was crispy and the wings came out piping hot so that was a plus. The pad thai was delicious and flavorful. The chicken and noodle were tender. However, it could have used more sauce. I was so full from lunch that I took one wing home, 75% of my pad thai, and half of my iced tea, which I had for dinner. The pad thai was dry after being reheated so more sauce would have made it taste better. I was surprised to see the lunch portion was pretty generous for the price. You rarely see those prices anymore due to inflation. Our server was nice, but inattentive. She could have stopped by to check on us more often. I had to flag her down twice. It seemed counterproductive to refill my friend's glass of water when we were done eating and ready for our check. All in all, food was decent, but could have been better. Prices are more reasonable than other Thai restaurants in the county. read more

My favorite Thai restaurant! I usually get togo but I was finally able to dine in with a friend. Good customer service and cute interior inside. I got pad thai chicken which was very juicy, saucy, and limely! I got medium spice (level 3) and it was perfect for me since it wasn't too spicy, but I think I'll try spice level 4 next time. Their thai tea was delicious and I didn't find it too sweet or too bitter! Also I liked how I was able to order my Thai tea in a Togo cup so I didn't feel rushed to finish it as soon as I finished my meal. I would say it's an affordable price for what you get and the quality of the food makes it even better! read more

Yum yum yum! We love Thai food and we usually go to one close to our place, but we always get the same thing, so we decided to try carry out from Thai House. We ordered Drunken Noodles with Beef, Pineapple fried rice, Crispy Duck with mushroom garlic chili sauce and Seafood medley. All the dishes were so tasty and delicious! I love the crispy duck because it was so crunchy with a mix of skin and meat! I did make a mistake of ordering drunken noodle for my toddler, but there was no option for "not spicy," so she ended up eating the rice since it had shrimp and chicken in it with the option of not spicy. My husband and I got 2 delicious meals from our 4 dish order and it definitely won't be our last! read more
The only reason I'm giving this four stars is because my honeydew Boba was only half filled. Besides that, this is easily some of the best Thai food I've ever had outside of Thailand. Still as of April 2022, this restaurant is only doing to go orders which you can pick up right inside their main restaurant door. Their food is excellent. The pad Thai is super flavorful and the noodles are very fresh and bouncy. They don't hold back in the vegetables and tofu that they add into the dish either. The Panang curry is filled with tons of good vegetables, and the sauce itself is extremely aromatic and spicy. For those who like spice, I definitely recommend going with level three because it has a perfect balance of heat and flavor. read more

We love Thai House, but this is an issue that bugs us as well. They just don't answer when they're really busy, or if they close unexpectedly, they don't leave an informative voicemail greeting saying so. Sorry this doesn't really answer your…
