Came back for the Khao Soi. Great taste but more noodles than soup - needed more soup. No hard noodles either. Still great taste and if you haven't tried this dish somewhere, do so. read more

This is a solid Thai restaurant. Nice atmosphere, good service and the food is terrific. My partner and I started with soup - a Tom Yum and a Tom Kha, both with vegis. Each cup was chock full of vegis and the broths were delicious. For entrees, we had the Panang Curry (combo - pork, chicken, beef) and the Drunken Noodles (pork). The Drunken Noodles were spiced with thinly sliced jalapeños, which were spicy but could easily be eaten by a spice lover. The Curry was rich, with a delicious peanut flavor. As I said, the servers were attentive and filled our water glasses several times, without us having to ask. A few reviews here comment on small portion sizes. This review is for a takeout order. Easy online ordering, food was ready on time. I ordered Pad Eggplant and Panang Curry. The food was excellent. So food gets a 5 rating. My review is 3-star because of the value. Those two dishes cost $45 without tip. I ordered extra vegetables on the curry and could see nothing extra. So value gets a 2 score. I can get good Thai elsewhere at a more reasonable price. Parking is tough on a Saturday evening because everyone seems to park in the Harris Teeter lot. So location gets a 4. read more

We had dinner on a 'Thursday evening around 7:15 pm. Pama was about one-half to one-third full. The food was good, although management was abysmal. There were only two employees in the front of the house. It took a long time to be seated (yes, I know, that should have given us a clue). The wait time for food to be served was very long and there were long stretches between the servings of peoples' plates. Some of us had finished eating before other's food arrived. The staff was overworked, but pleasant. Again, this was a case of poor staffing management. We won't be back until we know they have solved that. read more

Visited for the first time. They share a lot with Harris Teeter so there is no shortage of parking which is a good thing. The portions are generous and when I arrived there was only one table occupied so I got to pick my seat. Ambiance and decor is lovely. The wait staff kept checking on us which was nice. Typically we receive good food. Tonight one of entrees was not edible. The shrimp was RAW. When we got the bill I asked that the cost of the shrimp dish be removed. They did not remove it. SO the one star. We don't plan on going back to one of our regular restaruants any more. read more

I ordered delivery of the drunken noodles with chicken, $18.95 before fees and tip. The dish was delivered in under 30 minutes. To say, this is one of the best preparations of drunken noodles I've had would be an understatement. The wide noodles themselves were perfectly cooked, did not clump together, had a fabulous chew and great flavor. The chicken was thinly sliced, tender, juicy, and absorbed much of the flavor of the spices in the dish. The onions, beans, carrots, red bell pepper, and chilies, totally complimented the dish and gave it terrific flavor and texture. I ordered the dish spicy, and the heat level was spot on. This was our first visit here. Loved the simple but elegant decor. The inside dining is spacious and not packed. They have few outdoor seatings. We opted for indoors. The service was fabulous. Now on to the food. I loved Larb Gai and was happy to see it on the menu. It was definitely spicy, but I loved every bite of it. For entrees, we got the Street Noodles and Red Curry with chicken and broccoli. Both were on point. I didn't finish the Street Noodles, so I had room for sticky rice with mango. Yummy. Pama Thai is a wonderful new addition to the Park Potomac shopping center. I called in my order and the gentleman on the phone was so pleasant. They are very accommodating with your order, I substituted pork in my Pad See Ew and it was no hassle. My order was ready when I got there. I had been once before, but this time I took pictures of the inside. I love all of the Thai art work, statues of different Buddha's, and the beautiful woodwork. They have pillows for your back to make it more comfortable. The house specialty, shrimp pineapple fried rice, is served in a half of pineapple. It has big shrimp, cashews, fried rice, and veggies. It was delicious and granddaughter approved. We also ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. It was very tasty. The shrimp were large and the noodles were soft and fresh. Our next dish, was the pork Pad see ew and it was good. Next time, I will probably order beef or chicken, because the pork was a little over cooked. For appetizers, we had the chicken satay. The dipping peanut sauce was scrumptious. The chicken was a little overdone, but enjoyable. We also ordered the crab Rangoon and it was great. It was crispy and fried perfectly. It had a lot of cream cheese filling and the dipping sauce was a sweet and sour delight. I thought the price point was similar to all of the Thai restaurants in our area. The portions were generous. When walking in, I liked the cozy vibes of the restaurant. I was greeted kindly and had good service throughout my meal. My mom, friend and I ordered a few dishes including the Crispy Fish, Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Pad Kee Mao. We liked everything except for the green curry as the curry spice was too strong, making the vegetables in the curry taste off. I've definitely had green curry in the area at other Thai restaurants. The other dishes we ordered were flavorful and delicious. Overall, the atmosphere was great and I liked all the dishes except for the green curry. 11.1.22 This restaurant opened fairly recently and is located a few doors down from Harris Teeter. I made the mistake of parking in the lot by Founding Farmers. My friend drove separately and she said the lot by the restaurant is for Harris Teeter. The restaurant is more spacious than I thought it would be. Staff were friendly, one gentleman took our order and the other brought our food to us. I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice (signature dish), but asked for the shrimp to be replaced with the combo meat of chicken, pork, and beef. My friend ordered Chicken Pad Thai (signature dish) without bean sprouts and Crispy Duck Ka Prao to go for her husband. When our food was brought out to us the gentleman who took our order included the bean sprouts (it was printed on the itemized receipt) instead of having it removed so she had to ask it to be redone. I loved my fried rice and she liked her pad thai. Her hubby thought the duck was good. He said it was spicy and overpriced though. Compared to other restaurants I would agree that it is slightly more expensive, but IMO it is also one of the tastier Thai restaurants in the DMV area. This is a nice addition to Montgomery County and I look forward to returning for the Pad See Ew, one of my favorite Thai dishes. read more

Newly opened in Park Potomac. It's next to Harris Teeter. I called in for takeout. Was ready when we got there! Staff greeted quickly and were nice. Interior is nice and spacious. Simple decor but comfy. Got the crispy salmon roll because the pictures of the appetizer on their Instagram looked great. Ours needed some more time in the fryer. It also was mostly rice with a hint of salmon. I'd skip this one. Our red curry was with tofu. Has mild heat, but very heavy handed with the sweetness. It was ok. I would get green curry instead next time. Mango sticky rice was good. The coconut ice cream could do with a bit more coconut flavor and some toasted coconut. I hope they do well in Park Potomac! This is the second time we ordered from here this week. The quality and taste of the entree's are excellent. We tried the Chicken Cashew Nut, Calamari, and Green Curry Tofu. On past visits as dine in customers ,we were charmed by the wonderful, attentive staff; decor that reminded us of the many simple, but wonderful cafes we dined in all over Thailand for years; and the thoughtfullness of the talented chefs to heat levels and dietary concerns. However our last few take away experiences have been disappointing to , yesterday's order, somewhat inedible! The eggplant, once luxurious with Asian eggplants and tender wisps of pork, offered only a couple of serving spoons of both - and more sauce than several cups of soup. Portions are not large in any case, but I find myself happy when I don't have to tote leftovers home. The steamed dumplings show twelve on the menu's photograph, but we received four rather tumbled around ones. The worst experience was the fried duck. It had to be discarded as we could all see dental bills!! The duck was very dry and very tough - and the one that braved a few bites said that the duck was tasteless so not even worth an impending dental bills. I will return to dine in. For take away, I will stick with Two Sisters, a short drive away, but reliably excellent carry out . read more

Surprisingly delicious dishes. One of the best pad Thai in town. I came with my parents and we each got the lunch special. My mom got the shrimp pad Thai ( I tasted it and I'm going to get my own next time lol) with spring roll. My dad got the chicken pad ginger (it's just ok) with fried wonton and I got green salad with thick peanut sauce dressing and green curry-perfectly spiced for my taste. Service was ok. Our server wasn't all that friendly but overall service was efficient. A little more effort of friendliness (wasn't that busy) would have tipped my review to 5 stars. Ample free parking and close to other shops and Harris Teeter is in the same shopping center. Conveniently located to a medical building so for my purposes it was the perfect location ! I have one peeve with my experience. I ordered takeout on my small-screen phone. I ordered an item with a red pepper next to it which to me signals a notice/warning that it is hot. I chose the meat I wanted and quickly checked out. Only when I picked up my order did I see that it was marked 'Not Spicy.' I guess I was supposed to scroll down further on that menu. I am all for customer choice, but when you put a red pepper in the menu, shouldn't the default value be spicy. The food seemed well-prepared but I was left unsatisfied. read more

Great, great new place! Yes, there are many restaurants in Rockville, Potomac, and Bethesda -- but none like this! It's an expansive, richly decorated, roomy interior, with the best food because for one thing, the wait staff and and everyone there are all so nice and accommodating and will make me things no other Thai place in the area will ... such as glass noodles with only vegetables and tofu, for instance! I mean, that is, not without a lot of begrudging attitude about it! Other places, in other words, will make it but give me a very bad feeling for wanting this and make a big, unpleasant deal about it -- not so here! These people are all very friendly, nice, cool and that makes a HUGE difference! Now, of course, on to the food! Yes, before I'd ever entered the doors of this beautiful establishment myself I had take-out from there brought to me and was already very pleasantly surprised and impressed! I cannot tell you how delicious the food is! Even the take-out box my spring rolls came out was unusually cool in its design -- it comes in a sensible, long white box rather than the usual more boxy-shaped, boring square box! Lovely! The tiny little container the sauce comes in is a whole lot cooler, too! This is all not to mention the crispy texture, the heat, the flavour hiding inside the yummy crunchy fried dough! Mmm! So, I've eaten here a bunch of times now -- so relieved to have this place close by, not feeling I have to drive half an hour or an hour anymore to get a GREAT meal -- and one time, I was so tired I forgot what kind of drink I was trying to order, but my waiter knew and remembered! He got me just exactly what I wanted! So cool! The last time I went, I got a coffee with some hot chocolate in it -- perfect and delicious! Everything is served so beautifully, as well. If you're someone who prides themselves on being 'practical' and therefore don't appreciate lovely details such as gold-coloured silverware, you probably don't need the aesthetic touch but I do! I appreciate the little black cup on a little black saucer! I appreciate the look of every thing in this place .... Delicious items I have tried (all vegetarian): crispy eggplant -- MMM! Black rice pudding, tom yum, tom kha, glass noodles with veggies, spring rolls, garden herb rolls, chive dumplings, mango curry (not my #1 fave of all the things I've tried here!), and possibly some things I don't remember .... I've had Pama Thai on my to-try list for forever and can finally write a review! Food wise, I'd say this is solid (I've had better) - BUT, for the amount of food you get, my family definitely has leftovers (and adding an additional star for the volume alone). Ordering takeout is a breeze - you can do this online and I was shocked at how quickly we were able to pick it up. And as a plus, if you go directly through their website, their prices of course are much lower than going through a delivery service such as DoorDash. We got a number of items but my favorites had to be the green curry and papaya salad. While the curry broth was thin, I loved the chunky bits of bamboo shoots and eggplant that were included. The combination pad thai was mediocre, and there didn't seem to be any shrimp in our order either, which was kind of odd. I would try Pama Thai again, but would want to go in person to see if it differs eating in! read more

What struck me most about this cozy nook is the ambience - although I miss Wine Harvest dearly (RIP) Pam's has turned this place into an inviting coffee shop type feel. A new restaurant in town? Definitely had to go an try it! And it did not disappoint! Let's talk about the food first! I ordered the steam dumplings, they came out a bit different than what I'm used to, but the flavor was amazing! The pairing with the sauce made it even more delicious! The crispy fish, WOW! Crispy juicy and with tons of veggies, the sauce that came with it was also amazing great with the jasmine rice! The portion was huge for me. Definitely recommended getting this dish! And finally the Thai tea was the perfect sweet ending. The service was fast, the staff was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed right away. They also approached the table multiple times to make sure everything was ok.. 10/10 SERVICE! The restaurant itself looked very nice and fancy! We had dinner at Pama on their soft opening night. The staff are friendly and attentive and the space is comfortable and lovely. I had crispy chicken wontons as an appetizer and crispy fish, which was tilapia with chili sauce, vegetables and jasmine rice. The food was excellent. I do wish they had thai iced coffee (they have tea), but that's a trivial observation considering how good everything is. We live nearby and will probably eat here at least once a week until we've run through the pretty extensive menu. read more

A solid 7.5/10, losing points mostly due to the value. Prices are a bit higher than your typical Thai restaurant with similar portion sizes. I was disappointed about the volume of my cocktail, I got the lychee sangria and without ice, it was probably like 6oz of liquid. The pad thai had a more delicate and balanced flavor than other restaurants where the sweetness, tanginess, or tamarind flavor comes through stronger. The crispy duck ka prao was good, not great, but not very much duck. I think given its location in Potomac, the prices are maybe a bit more justifiable, I think anyone in the area who is looking for a good Thai restaurant would enjoy Pama. Called the restaurant who said they never recived it, even though we have a confirmation of RESTAURANT RECEIPT of our order via email from Pama Thai directly , and a delivery person even showed up there to pick it up! They never even called us. Only refunded our credit card after we called them, and only threatening further legal action. Mistakes happen, but BRIAN at Pama Thai took NO responsibility whatsoever and entirely blamed Menufy. By then it was 10:00 at night! This restaurant should not be doing online business. They are not reliable nor accountable to their patrons. MoCo has plenty of other restarurants. read more
