Khao Soi (Chicken) - already mixed in toppings. Great taste

Came back for the Khao Soi. Great taste but more noodles than soup - needed more soup. No hard noodles either. Still great taste and if you haven't tried this dish somewhere, do so.

This is a solid Thai restaurant. Nice atmosphere, good service and the food is terrific. My partner and I started with soup - a Tom Yum and a Tom Kha, both with vegis. Each cup was chock full of vegis and the broths were delicious. For entrees, we had the Panang Curry (combo - pork, chicken, beef) and the Drunken Noodles (pork). The Drunken Noodles were spiced with thinly sliced jalapeños, which were spicy but could easily be eaten by a spice lover. The Curry was rich, with a delicious peanut flavor. As I said, the servers were attentive and filled our water glasses several times, without us having to ask. A few reviews here comment on small portion sizes. That was not the experience we had this evening.

I ordered delivery of the drunken noodles with chicken, $18.95 before fees and tip. The dish was delivered in under 30 minutes. To say, this is one of the best preparations of drunken noodles I've had would be an understatement. The wide noodles themselves were perfectly cooked, did not clump together, had a fabulous chew and great flavor. The chicken was thinly sliced, tender, juicy, and absorbed much of the flavor of the spices in the dish. The onions, beans, carrots, red bell pepper, and chilies, totally complimented the dish and gave it terrific flavor and texture. I ordered the dish spicy, and the heat level was spot on. A great rendition of drunken noodles I can't wait to try other offerings from Pama Thai.

I highly recommend PAMA THAI at the Park Potomac next to Harris Teeter. Delicious food and a broad menu. Great service from both Som and Patrick. Lovely spacious restaurant. I really like the space between the patrons, the tall ceilings and that there are tables for parties of six.

A hidden gem that I found.. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, nice and cozy. Outside seating available, service was exceptional, food was tasty and flavorful. I will definitely be returning to dine in..

This was our first visit here. Loved the simple but elegant decor. The inside dining is spacious and not packed. They have few outdoor seatings. We opted for indoors. The service was fabulous. Now on to the food. I loved Larb Gai and was happy to see it on the menu. It was definitely spicy, but I loved every bite of it. For entrees, we got the Street Noodles and Red Curry with chicken and broccoli. Both were on point. I didn't finish the Street Noodles, so I had room for sticky rice with mango. Yummy. I ate every bite. We look forward to returning and trying other items.

Pama Thai is a wonderful new addition to the Park Potomac shopping center. I called in my order and the gentleman on the phone was so pleasant. They are very accommodating with your order, I substituted pork in my Pad See Ew and it was no hassle. My order was ready when I got there. I had been once before, but this time I took pictures of the inside. I love all of the Thai art work, statues of different Buddha's, and the beautiful woodwork. They have pillows for your back to make it more comfortable. The house specialty, shrimp pineapple fried rice, is served in a half of pineapple. It has big shrimp, cashews, fried rice, and veggies. It was delicious and granddaughter approved. We also ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. It was very tasty. The shrimp were large and the noodles were soft and fresh. Our next dish, was the pork Pad see ew and it was good. Next time, I will probably order beef or chicken, because the pork was a little over cooked. For appetizers, we had the chicken satay. The dipping peanut sauce was scrumptious. The chicken was a little overdone, but enjoyable. We also ordered the crab Rangoon and it was great. It was crispy and fried perfectly. It had a lot of cream cheese filling and the dipping sauce was a sweet and sour delight. I thought the price point was similar to all of the Thai restaurants in our area. The portions were generous. The service was great. I will be back to try some new dishes next time.

    Pad Thai (11.1.22)

11.1.22 This restaurant opened fairly recently and is located a few doors down from Harris Teeter. I made the mistake of parking in the lot by Founding Farmers. My friend drove separately and she said the lot by the restaurant is for Harris Teeter. The restaurant is more spacious than I thought it would be. Staff were friendly, one gentleman took our order and the other brought our food to us. I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice (signature dish), but asked for the shrimp to be replaced with the combo meat of chicken, pork, and beef. My friend ordered Chicken Pad Thai (signature dish) without bean sprouts and Crispy Duck Ka Prao to go for her husband. When our food was brought out to us the gentleman who took our order included the bean sprouts (it was printed on the itemized receipt) instead of having it removed so she had to ask it to be redone. I loved my fried rice and she liked her pad thai. Her hubby thought the duck was good. He said it was spicy and overpriced though. Compared to other restaurants I would agree that it is slightly more expensive, but IMO it is also one of the tastier Thai restaurants in the DMV area. This is a nice addition to Montgomery County and I look forward to returning for the Pad See Ew, one of my favorite Thai dishes.

When walking in, I liked the cozy vibes of the restaurant. I was greeted kindly and had good service throughout my meal. My mom, friend and I ordered a few dishes including the Crispy Fish, Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Pad Kee Mao. We liked everything except for the green curry as the curry spice was too strong, making the vegetables in the curry taste off. I've definitely had green curry in the area at other Thai restaurants. The other dishes we ordered were flavorful and delicious. Overall, the atmosphere was great and I liked all the dishes except for the green curry. I will be back to try other dishes and see if this place is one I will add to my regular rotation.

Newly opened in Park Potomac. It's next to Harris Teeter. I called in for takeout. Was ready when we got there! Staff greeted quickly and were nice. Interior is nice and spacious. Simple decor but comfy. Got the crispy salmon roll because the pictures of the appetizer on their Instagram looked great. Ours needed some more time in the fryer. It also was mostly rice with a hint of salmon. I'd skip this one. Our red curry was with tofu. Has mild heat, but very heavy handed with the sweetness. It was ok. I would get green curry instead next time. Mango sticky rice was good. The coconut ice cream could do with a bit more coconut flavor and some toasted coconut. I hope they do well in Park Potomac! It'll be awhile before I stop by again though.

This is the second time we ordered from here this week. The quality and taste of the entree's are excellent. We tried the Chicken Cashew Nut, Calamari, and Green Curry Tofu. The second time we tried the Pad Thai Shrimp, Calamari, and Green Curry Tofu. The Chicken was a little too spicy but the Medium spice in the curry was excellent! I may even try it spicier next time. The service was great and friendly.

Surprisingly delicious dishes. One of the best pad Thai in town. I came with my parents and we each got the lunch special. My mom got the shrimp pad Thai ( I tasted it and I'm going to get my own next time lol) with spring roll. My dad got the chicken pad ginger (it's just ok) with fried wonton and I got green salad with thick peanut sauce dressing and green curry-perfectly spiced for my taste. Service was ok. Our server wasn't all that friendly but overall service was efficient. A little more effort of friendliness (wasn't that busy) would have tipped my review to 5 stars. Ample free parking and close to other shops and Harris Teeter is in the same shopping center. Conveniently located to a medical building so for my purposes it was the perfect location ! Absolutely love the decor. Clean and neat. Will come back to try the other dishes.

Not enough good things can be said about this place! It's convenient with lots of parking right out…read morefront and behind, it's beautiful, open, and airy with really nice, earthy light fixtures that gives a natural, grounded feeling, the seating is comfortable, the place is spacious, the staff are all very nice, friendly, and welcoming -- and perhaps most important of all, accommodating of different needs. The food is, of course, delicious, nutritious, perfectly cooked, flavourful, healthy, and great for the entire sensory system. All of your senses will be pleased here! If you want to add a bit of spice, there is a tray of spice mixtures you can ask for that will be brought to the table, too .... Visiting around the Thai new year is especially cool because the staff all wear colourful tops for the occasion! I particularly enjoy the Pad Woonsen that I request and receive vegetarian with no problem. I've been to many a Thai restaurant that would not accommodate this simple request -- or would do so only begrudgingly or sometimes and after a struggle -- so I really appreciate that here, it's no problem and no hassle. The Tofu and Vegetables Soup is delicious, the Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee come in a really cool broad metal cup -- very impressive! It really makes an impression when it comes out and is brought to the table. Sitting there, it looks like the Queen of the table to me! So shiny and inviting, wow! The cup isn't just some regular old, plain boring smooth shiny metal cup -- oh, no! It's hammered into a splendid work of art! The Mango with Sticky Rice has purple rice coloured with butterfly pea flower tea and it's beautiful! There is many a feast for the eye to be had here! I have been coming here since they opened and don't remember every dish I've gotten -- but don't remember ever being disappointed in anything, but rather amazed! I obviously enjoy the looks of things and that's important to me, so the fact that so much care is put into that here really makes a difference in my view. There is clearly care taken with how each piece of tofu is put on my plate so it comes out looking great! I find that makes it much more appetizing. It appeals to me, draws me in, and makes me want to eat it from the moment I first see each dish come into my visual awareness. I find the portions to be generous and think maybe sometime I could even just have the Tofu and Vegetable Soup as a meal if I wasn't too hungry. I enjoy the soft tofu in the soup and the firmer fried tofu in the Pad Woonsen. Besides, glass noodles are just fun! They're cool to look at, they're stretchy, and they taste great plus they're very healthy being made from mung beans and all. I just really like a good mung bean noodle! I'm always disappointed when I can't have it. For me, it makes a big difference that here, I can! The Fried Tofu starter is okay, but not my fave. (Can you tell I like tofu, though? Ha ha! Yes! I am a major tofu-lover, and that place well satisfies that craving!) I should also mention, the rice is perfect! There are big windows that let in a lot of light, so you can see very well while you dine, and cool little touches here and there such as little black rocks stacked up to make a nice little entryway to the slightly elevated seating area farthest from the entrance ... which, by the way, is a very welcoming place! You are greeted nicely here with a warm smile, and feel good from the moment of arrival! Thank goodness! What a relief! It's so nice to be able to just enter, be seated, and rest and relax while perusing the many choices and waiting not-too-long until the meal arrives ... and delights the tongue and tummy! All-around total Yay! :-D

The ka pow tofu was definitely my favorite, super flavorful and came with white rice. Whenever I get regular spicy at a Thai place I normally expect to be hit with a kick of spice that hits the tongue. Except here everything was just so sweet it made me somewhat nauseous. Most of the soup dishes had similar based of noodles, protein and herbs. Unless you enjoy overly sweet dishes this wasn't for me as I'd prefer a spicy yet savory kick in my Thai dishes with a slight sweetness. It shouldn't be overpowering. Papaya salad reg spice was sweet. No kick whatsoever. Just papaya shaving, some iceberg lettuce at the bottom and some halved grape tomatoes. Khao soi noodle soup a sweet curry broth. A bit too sweet. Also got it with a tempura chicken but it was mostly fried wonton skin and barely any chicken. Chicken was also dry and hard. Tom yum noodle soup A creamy yet spicy "tom yum" broth. It has somewhat of a kick but for regular spice level it was still too sweet. Even with all the red pepper flakes. It was also missing the lemon grass scent in most tom yum soups I'm used to. Thai noodle soup The only non-spicy dish. Broth was a clear base that was somewhat better after all the sweet dishes. But a little bland. Thai green tea was good though. Just a bit sweet but need to be drank with ice.

It was pretty quiet when we were there and wasn't overly loud or disruptive. Certainly a very casual spot.

Went on Yelp looking for a Thai place for lunch with a lunch special. Here we are…read more All the lunch specials come with a cup of soup (tom yum with chicken), a salad or a veggie gyoza. We each had the soup, which was seasoned well and had mushrooms and tender chicken. A decent soup. Not the best I've had, but good, and impressive as an accompaniment with the $12.95 lunch special. Several people in the restaurant had salads in front of them - the salads all looked good and were a nice size, with lettuce and carrot. I got the green curry with veggies. I was impressed by the amount and variety of veggies - green and red pepper, mushrooms, carrots and broccoli. The green curry sauce was spicy, but not overpowering. The rice that came with it was steamed white rice (which I'm thinking was over steamed, because it seemed to have absorbed a lot of water and was really boring). Unfortunately, the curry sauce, which was good, couldn't overcome the boringness of the rice. So instead of mixing the curry sauce in with the rice and eating it, I left about half the rice. It might make sense to opt for the brown rice, although it costs extra and might have the same issue depending on how it's prepared. My partner got the Pad La Pow with pork. They said it was very good, but not spicy as advertised. (It's advertised as having two stars of spiciness - the most on the menu). I'll try the place again. The soup was decent with a good amount of chicken, and the green curry was good with lots of veggies. Although I'll probably try something different to avoid the bland rice. The place is very nice inside. The server was excellent. We were seated next to a group where one of the individuals spoke very loudly, and the server came over discretely and asked if we'd like to move, which we did. And his service for the rest of the meal was very attentive (i drink a lot of water, and I judge a lot of service by how many times my water glass gets refilled - great job today) and friendly. The price point for the lunch special - $12.95, is excellent.
