The owner was nice and it was super cute on the inside, but the chocolate macaron was not good. I've had a couple different macarons before and this one tasted nothing like them. There was no crunch on the top like a typical macaron it was all chewy. And not mention I spent 3.25 on a single one, which I wouldn't mind if the macaron was how I imagined. read more

I had high hopes but it didn't pan out bc service was poor. It was not busy & took nearly 30 min to get a replacement for an item & another 30 min to get the bill after we were done. The soup had potential but it was bottom of the pot salty & came out cold. My tuna sandwich came w a cold refrigerated croissant. When I mentioned that it would be nice to have the croissant to b toasted or room team the server was unbothered & said that's how we serve it. Visited yesterday on 12/19/23. We happened to be walking in old town Spring, headed to Wunsche but was sidetracked by the bright colors of the quaint bldg and the word Tea. Being a tea snob and curious about the menu, we went inside We were greeted and seated by the female owner. The waitress took our order. The service was rather slow,there was only one other table of customers while we were there. At some point while waiting in our order, a tall man came through our seating area and walked to back door with a trash bag. He opened door and left it wide open as he dumped bag in the dumpster. I thought this was extremely rude as it was pretty chili outside. Being first time visitors, I was unimpressed with the food and quality of customer service. The food was mediocre and the small cup of tea was overpriced. Needless to say there are several things that need improving for me to return here. Some of the staff were cordial and others lacked in understanding basic needs. We were never checked on during our meals, such as "do you need more water, or are you enjoying the food, would you like to try a dessert" The pregnant waitress was pretty nice, but the guy who brought trash bag out and left door open right near our table was clearly not a good example of customer service and lacked good decision making skills. If it had not been for us waiting on food order, I would have left and gone straight to Wunsche Bros. to dine. If you want your business to thrive and bring in some value and diversity, then you need to do better! You are clearly lacking in those two areas. read more

We had a wonderful afternoon tea with friends and their daughters. Cute decor, great service, and really liked the food, especially the lavender scones. Our 4-5 year olds had a great time and loved the pink "tea" (lemonade). They were accommodating for those of us who were vegetarian and had peanut butter and jelly, cucumber and cheese, Nutella and strawberry and egg salad sandwiches. We will be back! read more

A really, really great place for lunch! We walked by and decided to be adventurous! Lovely atmosphere and the food was just as fabulous! We started with their 'Old Spring' spice tea with cream! The grilled chicken sandwich was warm and extra yummy because of the avocado slices! Their chicken salad sandwich was perfection with grapes, cranberries and pecans! A week or so ago my friend and i came in to enjoy the wonderful ambiance that Khindra and her staff create, unfortunately Khindra was under staffed when a man i presume is the owner comes in and screams at her because she was closing to get her children and she was understaffed. It was a disgusting display of abuse of authority. Ruined the atmosphere. I come in a couple days ago, no staff, the food was not up to par and the sheer unprofessionalism and poor attitude has just ruined the beautiful cafe. I made reservoir our group about 3 months in advance! We were sooo excited about our visit. We take my little cousin to tea parties when we visit from out of town. About a week prior Kendra emailed to confirm our plans. She was very polite and detailed. When we arrived, she and I hugged like we were old friends. She had reserved a private room for our group of six. The room was adorable. We loved everything about it. From opening the door to paying the bill. The chef is outstanding. The BEST jambalaya (even better than mine) I have ever had. The vanilla bean scone was to die for. We usually go to different places when we visit, but this is gonna be our new favorite. Visited this place with my fiancée for her birthday as she's a tea lover, and we wanted experience a nice, calm and relaxed time drinking some tea. We got there and the place is lovely! We got sat immediately and got our stuff in a fairly quick manner. HOWEVER! The reason for the two stars, is because the ladies in the front are TOO LOUD! The lady in the cashier laughs out loud with a LOT OF FORCE! Also, having private conversations about y'all's dates and what y'all do in them isn't something your customers need to be hearing about... my fiancée and I could barely hear each other! This was a really cute place in old town spring. I tried the full tea service. My first impression of this place is that it looks old, kind of like your old old grandma's house. Most of the customers in there were past retirement age. My group was the only young group in there. The bathroom lights weren't working for some reason in both of the stalls. I had to take a star away for that. We got the old spice and the ginger peach tea. Both were sooooo delicious and very aromatic. All of the finger sandwiches were so cute and is delicious. The scones taste really fresh. I was introduced to clotted cream for the first time. I like it. It was amazing with the fruit preserves. All of the desserts were good except for the cannoli. The best part of a cannoli is the crunch u get when you bite into it. This cannoli was soggy. No crunch here. I think for the price, I was expensive for 2 teas and a few finger sandwiches. Most of the foods were good except the cannoli. The teas were exceptional. But for me to justify that price, I would have liked a prettier ambiance and working lights in the bathroom. read more

The service here was so disappointing. The woman who greeted us was very sweet but the girls working seemed so confused about what was going on. We made reservations weeks in advance for high tea service. When we got there it took at least 15 mins before anyone got our tea order. Then another 20 25 mins before said tea came out. Which means we were literally sitting here without water or anything wondering if they'd forgotten about us. For some reason the food came out before our tea ever made it to the table. For what they charge, I had an expectation for decent service and this was incredibly lackluster. Next time we'll skip the tea and enjoy the wine bar across the street where our presence was actually appreciated. read more

PLEASE READ If you are thinking of having an event here. First, make sure they send and you understand the rules in the agreement before making a decision. If they had sent an agreement in the first place, I NEVER would have chosen this place. The money wasted because of their mistake, the way it was handled, and the way we were treated afterward is just all-around awful. I just hope that it doesn't happen to anyone else, especially on such a special day. This is a long one, but trust me, you'll want to read to the end. I just had my baby shower here, and never would have, had I known the ridiculous fees and rules they impose on you. (mind you, my sister-in-law spoke to them several times before I made a decision, so they had plenty of opportunities to send it over or discuss it on the phone.) After having a cake, cookies, and other food made, they informed us the day before the shower that no outside food or drink is allowed, and that the event HAD to be catered by them. When my sister-in-law informed them that info was never made known, they said they would "make a deal" and allow the outside food, but we still had to order scones (glorified biscuits) and tea for 20 people. The deposit is non-refundable, so she complied. I later learned that THIS COST $300. I never would have agreed to that if it was up to me. please tell me how that's a "deal" on the consumer's end. At one point during the party, I asked them if they had a knife I could borrow to cut the cake. They informed me that they cut it, and there's a $10 cake cutting fee...what? No. I found a butter knife to use, instead. But, at some point, someone came out, grabbed the cake, and when one of my friends tried to stop her, she just ignored her and took it to the back to be cut. And last but not least, the owner (manager?) informed me that Peter Pan (the theme) is racist and misogynistic. This one I actually had to laugh at because I thought I was being punked. Who says that to someone, especially in that situation? As a business owner myself, I know the importance of making the customer happy and making up for your mistake. Neither of these was exhibited. I'm just floored by the overall rudeness of the management/staff here. It's a shame because the place itself is adorable. read more

Pros - it's a cute little tea house that has all different kinds of tea cups scattered around the restaurant - seems like a great place for a bridal shower or afternoon tea - chicken noodle soup was tasty! - different tea to pick from for even just a glass of tea! I tried out The Tea Kettle on a Sunday as soon as they opened. We were able to get a nice table by the window. The decor reminds me of being a kid at my grandmothers house. Very whimsical with lots of lace and different patters. Each table had mismatched tea cups and saucers on them. They have a variety of salads, sandwiches and soups. Our server was super cute and energetic. She gave us some great recommendations and even got me to sway from my usual go to tea to try a more floral version which I loved. Finally made it here after having this place closed multiple times over the years due to special events. I was pretty excited to give it a try when I finally booked a reservation. I wasn't too impressed with the tea selection and I think everything was over priced. I got a date salad with chicken and it wasn't anything too glamorous. Despite it being so small and so few people remaining when we got our food, service was hard to come by. Waitress forgot our waters, food wasn't served at the same time, the people that ordered sandwiches for their orders last (surprisingly). Then one of our team members wanted to look in the kitchen to get our waitress since we were pressed for time for a meeting and our patience ran thin. We've come here quite often over the years, but this visit was very different. First it was very difficult to get ahold of them for a reservation. Phone was just the answering machine or a quick "no not available." Upon our arrival we were seated quickly and asked our order. Waitress wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu, especially the tea. I have been wanting to try afternoon tea for years. My ultimate dream has been to travel to the United Kingdom and try it there, but being a super busy mom of two, that hasn't been possible. We had the tea that had orange flavor in it and I believe it was called old spice? I forget for sure but it was amazing without any sugar and I never drink tea unsweetened. My faves were cucumber and the egg salad. It's about 30 minutes from where I live or I'd be there daily! It's ok beautiful Old Town Spring. I plan to come back when it's cooler weather and browse the shops and do afternoon tea again. Lastly, reservations needed for the afternoon tea. I had made reservations about three months prior to my event, which was a very special birthday party. Que the day of our reservation, we get immediately notified that there was a larger party of about 20 who also made a reservation, and that all of the scones were being reserved for THEM. What?! I don't understand. I had also made a reservation for 5 people. How does a tea cafe run out of scones? I might also add that on the day of my reservation, the cafe was closed to walk ins, which means that they knew exactly how many people to anticipate that day, and they still failed to do proper inventory. I guess my party of 5 did not mean as much as the party of 20. The staff was friendly enough, but it definitely felt like they were understaffed. Most of my party waited a long time to get thier drinks refilled, and we were not checked on regularly. Finally, I might add that I had the full afternoon tea service, and you can look on the website of what that all includes for just over 20 dollars, but when time came for the good to be served, I definitely did not feel like I got my money's worth out of the meal.
