The Stuffed Chicken Caesar Croissant was interesting to try. I asked for them to bake the croissant a little because I find them too soft here. The cashier told the staff member making it, who nodded yes, then proceeded to make it like normal. The cashier had to say that it needed to be corrected. The salad part was fresh and tasted okay. Apparently LaM has changed their menu and done away with the French dip and replaced it with a beef and provolone drowning in mayonnaise. This was so disgusting that I had to scrape off a ton of mayonnaise just to eat it. Also, the pasta salad was drowned in oil. Very disappointed. Have to find a new lunch spot. read more

Been to a few locations and always have good service and food. Staff are really nice, helpful and patient. This location is in a strip mall/center that I think was only built approx 2-3 years ago. Also the locations seems it is fairly new. The only thing odd is the entrance...and parking lot.. Parking is across from building and the entrance or face of La Madeline is very very small and If your not paying attention when driving through lot you'll miss it. Also the way it is laid out seems backwards from other locations but once I figured out a worker was asking me for my order... Today I had 1/2 French dip and a bowl of mushroom soup! Really really good. My GF had a 1/2 chicken salad and cup of mushroom soup... We also highly recommend the tomato bisque and grilled cheese. Looks like this place was also decorated for fall (see pic of faux fireplace and mantle) also had fall decor all over. Price - about $10 a main entree. 3. Ambiance - this place looks cozy, it looks like a cabin farmhouse. I get a countryside French feel. Dress code here is casual. 4. I've been to this location quite a few times now, and I have to say that I appreciate the customer service and how kind they are about teaching us how to use their systems they have in place. I like that the station for the jam, jelly butter and bread are always stocked and the women who cleaned up after us are fantastic as well because they get the job done very quickly. But I have to say it is pretty annoying to carry the trays and the things if you are sitting far away . I know that's the way that the restaurant is designed, but it is just not ideal. They do get busy quite fast and so it's better to try to find a place close the refill station so that you don't have to Be the one who is constantly having to go up and get things from the station. I do not care for the potato that they have at breakfast time or even the omelet really because it is not anything to write home about. The croissants were good and so is the satcher torte which is the favorite thing of mine that had from here so far. Overall it is a great place to grab a bite to eat but it is just a trusty place because there is nothing very different or unique about it. This restaurant is a rip off , Ordered and paid for a bowl of soup to go. It looked to be too small for a bowl ,but server assured me it was a bowl. Got home and measured it with a measuring cup and it was 8.5 ounces ,which is a cup not a bowl(i.e.16 ounces). You can count on LaMadeleine for consistency and decent food. I dropped by today to pickup lunch for a sick family member and planned to use curbside to hasten the trip. Email says pull into designated spot and follow directions on the sign to have it brought to you but the signs were bereft of those instructions. Having no choice I ran inside where I stood ignored or at least overlooked at the register until my patience was gone and I said excuse me to the gaggle of working teens behind the counter. The food was handed over without as much as a thank you for your business, come again or anything resembling good customer relations. Usually love la madeleine. Its good, quick and consistent- usually. This was awful. Awful awful awful. We had the cafe sampler and the salmon. The salmon was super fishy, dry and somewhat cold and just awful. It was old and nasty. The rice tasted only like bell peppers and the broccoli was completely unseasoned. They were out of potato soup so i got the mushroom soup with my sampler. It was pretty good. The Caesar salad had way too much dressing. The friand was good. What a pleasant experience! Upon walking in, we were greeted by a nice worker. She patiently waited for us to decide what we wanted. The manager was also very friendly and personable! She gave us two small treats after finding out this was our first time there-- she didn't have to do that but that gesture made us feel like they valued us as customers. I will definitely come back!! Unfortunately, the staff (including people handling food) do not wear masks. The last time I visited, the woman packaging my food bad her mask below her chin. When asked to wear it properly, she got an attitude & then didn't even put the mask over her nose. Upon reaching out to management directly, it became clear that there's a culture problem. The lack of response demonstrated that management doesn't take COVID precautions seriously, so neither do the employees. Considering how rapidly covid spreads among food worker, I find this sort of leadership unfortunate and will no longer buy food from La Madeleine. I didn't have super high hopes of a French bakery type place in Texas having just been spoiled by LA's delightful ones but I was pleasantly suprised! I am a sucker for holiday treats and I remembered that I had meant to try their gingerbread creme brulee tart when I'd seen it on their website and forgot... much to my excitement they still had them available AND it was absolutely delectable! No picture because it was that good... and also small so it was gone in just a few bites. I also ended up grabbing a Strawberries Romanoff from the cooler as I walked in since I'd been curious about the dipping sauce after seeing it online. A few negatives... I am not very tall and the bakery/to go register had no one there and they did not notice me at all until I made it super obvious I was waiting by standing on my tiptoes, the strawberries were WAY overpriced (a cupful with a small condiment container of sauce for over 5 bucks!), and possibly the worst thing (and I know they probably have to do this)... they put calorie counts on every item haha! Service once I received it was friendly enough. And bonus a survey printed out on my receipt for a free pastry or dessert! I had planned on coming back to try more stuff anyway so hooray for that. The creme brulee tart was the perfect decadent bite with the addition of a nice gingerbread spice. This exceeded my expectations for how the burnt sugar was perfectly caramelized and tasted exactly like putting creme brulee into a tart shell (um, amazing idea!!) As for the strawberries I was a bit disappointed in the fact that only 2 of them were sweet and ripe while the rest were underripe and sour. For the price I paid I would like to enjoy fresh sweet fruit. Obviously the creamy sugared dipping sauce helped the situation but I found it to be a little too alcohol-y. It could also use some cinnamon on top of it. There was a long line for lunch slightly past the lunch hour so I suppose that's a good sign that they do a good job beyond pastries and desserts as well... at least if I get in that line next time they might see me! read more

I tried to be understanding. The hours for this restaurant have changed due to staffing shortages. Annoying? Yes. Understandable? Yes. But not unlocking your doors when you are actually supposed to be open while a guy (me) and his baby wait in the rain, is very much not okay. If you don't open until 9, that's fine. But at 9 your doors should be unlocked. I told the guy at the to go counter, probably 17 years old, that their doors were still locked and expressed my frustration. "We don't open until 9." So apparently nobody in the restaurant has a clock. Because at this point, when an employee who was taking care of curbside let me in, they still hadn't unlocked the doors. And this was 9:05 already. And honestly, it's not the 17 year old's job, I would assume, to unlock the doors. He probably doesn't even have a key. This is squarely on the manager on duty at 9:05am on Saturday May 22, 2021. I'm giving this location a 1 star review and that's being very generous. This is not my first negative experience with this location. If you want La Madeleine, do yourself a favor and just make the drive to the woodlands or to 1960 and champion forest. I promise your experience will be better. La Madeline at Grand Parkway Marketplace is an amazing, mouthwatering French restaurant filled with all of the favorites. The tomato basil soup is a must have. It's so good they sell it in the jar. Their bakery is second to none. The outside seating area is nice as there's a man made pond and fountain behind it. Their bread is so yummy and you'll have to have some with their strawberry rhubarb jam. I highly recommend it. Everyone will enjoy La Madeleine. read more

The ambiance is nice! Really cozy! It's cafeteria style dining. My dad started off with a French onion soup which wasn't as hot as it should have been. It didn't melt the shredded cheese. But the soup was still tasty and flavorful. My parents and I got the Croque Madame served with spring mixed salad. The Croque Madame was good just needed a little more béchamel sauce but other than that it was tasty and satisfying. My wife got the breakfast croissant which she said it was flavorful and the croissant itself was delicious but it lacked presentation. To complement the meal we got $5 mimosas which was a steal. i went here for the 1st time yesterday and got the country potato soup and 1/2 of chicken riviera, the sandwich was good but the bacon bits on my soup were 100% burnt and too crispy but once i mixed it into the soup i couldn't taste the burntness of it, but otherwise it was good, the whole restaurant is nice, just the entrance was confusing, my mom and i got our food pretty fast and the cashier was nice since it was our 1st time here, will definitely go again read more

Ordered a French dip for my husband and the pictures are attached. The meat was black and there was so little meat that he had to take it off of 1/2 to make a full sandwich. He ordered a side of potato soup which they charge you extra for and it literally tasted like potato water. It said it had leeks, onions, cheddar cheese and bacon. None of which was included. Totally horrific meal. I would be pretty embarrassed if I were them right now and when we complain to DoorDash on a $67 order they offered us a four dollar refund. read more

We came on a super busy post church Sunday. The lack of parking should have given it away. The line was long but moving so we stayed in line. Staff were taking orders in line before we got to the register. I was impressed with how well staffed this La Madeleine was. We never waited too long for the bread to be restocked, plates to be picked up. The slowest element of our visit was waiting for our food to come out. I had a salad from the bar so I had food in hand but my son's food had to come fresh from the kitchen. When it arrived they dropped off 2 orders not 2. We were confused. His Kid's Chicken Pasta dish was truly delicious! I mean we have had many kid pasta dishes but Even I would eat this. Creamy and slightly peppery. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. Who's back there anyway? Giada de Laurentiis? After I was able to flag down a manager he said once food reaches a table, it's no longer able to be served to anyone else, they will throw it away. So I was welcome to keep it if I liked! Wow! Very nice of them. I think I'll coming here on a less busy day and see what the feel of the store truly is like. La Madeleine is probably the best-known and largest restaurant chain bringing French food to the masses. Never been a big thing for me, but I stopped in to try this location the other day. It is very well-staffed with helpful people. I went with the Chicken Parisienne sandwich and a pasta salad side, finishing with Sacher Torte for dessert. The sandwich was well-executed. I had high expectations for the baguette, and they were met--nice and crusty outside, tender in the middle. The chicken was reasonably tender. The flavor was OK, better if you like cheddar more than I do. The pasta salad was disappointing. The tomato-basil sauce on it was very refreshing and tasty, but the penne pasta was kind of chewy and gummy. I didn't end up finishing it. The Sacher Torte had just a little hint of fruit in it (in classic form it's a chocolate cake with an apricot filling). Fine by me, I think it was a good chocolate cake. The "frenchness" of the place is sort of cute but gets a bit cloying. Soup is "soupe". But you know what you are in for. The bathroom was clean and ready when I went in.
