It's in an old Mexican restaurant in a strip mall. It always seems pretty clean to me. The man that…read moreis always at the counter isn't the most personable, but super sweet. The sandwiches are amazing. I always get the cheese delight, and whatever spices they put on it always have me craving another one. My husband loves the cheesesteaks. He had to stay at the hospital down the street a few nights, and he did not argue when I wanted to go back. They have French fries, but I didn't get them because I thought they would be cold by the time I got back to my husband's room. The kicker? There is an all the time deal that is buy two sandwiches, get the second half off, which brings the price of two sandwiches to only $9.67 before tip!!! Tip well, you can't eat fast food for this price. This is my most dreamed about sub, ever since Rocky's closed.

When we came in this day, one of the…read morecooks hadn't come in, and the owner told us the wait would be about 40 minutes before we could get our sandwich, we said we were ok with, since we had driven a bit of a distance to get to him. I appreciated that he told us up front before we placed and paid for our order. You can tell this is a good local spot to go to, because they weren't slammed, but they had a consistent flow of people coming in, and everyone was super patient waiting for their food, which, in today's time, people are super impatient. The customer service was really great. When our orders came up, it was before the time he gave us, so that was great also! The hoagies came out hot and fresh! The bread really does a number on this sandwich, because it is light, airy, has a good chew to it, AND, holds together as you make your way through the sandwich. The meat was seasoned nicely and was tender. I had onions, bell peppers, lettuce and mayo on mine. I think next time I'll add some jalapenos too for a little bit of kick. The fries were super hot too, would be good to have a good little dipping sauce for those. All in all, solid hoagie!

We've been passing by this place for awhile and today the wife and I decided to meet up after work…read moreand try them out. Upon entering, the place is nice and more spacious than we expected. Very clean and well put together. We we were greeted promptly and told to choose our seat and that she would be right with us. Well.. that wasn't the case. The lady that greated us was the greeter the bartender the hostess and order taker and one young man as a server was all they had. Fast forward past the wait. Our food comes. Presentation was nice loved the wooden serving trays. Burgers were nice size as seen on social media. I had the Texan burger with chili and cheese and my wife had Kions classic with cheese. Burgers were great. Meat was grilled to perfection with the chard edges i like. But were a little salty as were the onion rings. It taste like the same seasoning is used for the burger fries and onion rings so it became a little overwhelming. Which was part of the reason fir the 3 star. The other reason was the wait (to order and check out) due to the lack of staff and the other is the price. $66 for 2 burgers, fries and onion rings which the portions aren't worth the $10 price. Will we return? Possibly but not any time soon. @Manager. First, condolences to you and your family . But I notice you are very defensive in your few responses to reviews. And im sure you're going to take offense to this comment also but it is not to offend you or your business but more-so to help. I noticed you haven't even taken the time to respond to those that have given you good to great reviews. Those people deserve your attention more. And even in the responses you have given, there are more professional ways of defending your establishment. Like thanking the person for patronizing your business whether they gave you a good or bad review (they spent their hard earned money). Then thanking them for taking the time to leave you a review (good or bad) and read reviews with the intent to understand not to respond. We don't know what's going on in your personal life when we enter your establishment just as you don't know what's going on in ours.. you expect us to repect your business upon entering as we expect a level of service and professionalism that makes us feel good about spending our money. If your loss was going to impact your service maybe inform people when they enter that service is going to be a little slow due to short staff. I see your favorite thing to say is "our prices are listed". Don't you think we know that? Don't you think we seen the price on the menu when we ordered? So obviously we're not complaining about the price but more so what we got for the price. Though we can see how much we're going to spend before ordering, we can not see what we're getting for what we're spending until it comes out. And that is what I was referring to.. price vs portion. And my review said some good things also and said we would possibly return.. but that now will not happen. Please just think before you respond to people and remember they have already given you their hard earned money before making reviews of your business good or bad.. so always lead with a "Thank You..."

Taking Gym Food to New Heights…read more I've been a regular at 5.ATE Café for over two years, and the Climb & Dine event tonight finally pushed me to write this review. My son, our friends, and I tried everything on the menu -- and it was all fantastic. The pizza is always a standout, but the special pumpkin and burrata pizza they made for the event was truly unforgettable. Every dish was thoughtful and delicious, from the sliders to the PBJ taco, all served by a team that is always skilled, friendly, and clearly passionate about their craft. 5.ATE Café may be tucked inside a climbing gym, but the food is on a whole different level. Scratch-made sauces, homemade sourdough English muffin buns, and a consistently creative kitchen make this place a real treasure north of Houston. If you're climbing at inSPIRE or in the area, do yourself a favor and eat here. But honestly, even if you're far away or afraid of heights, it's worth the time and the drive!
