He had to stay at the hospital down the street a few nights, and he did not argue when I wanted to go back. They have French fries, but I didn't get them because I thought they would be cold by the time I got back to my husband's room. The kicker? There is an all the time deal that is buy two sandwiches, get the second half off, which brings the price of two sandwiches to only $9.67 before tip!!! Tip well, you can't eat fast food for this price. This is my most dreamed about sub, ever since Rocky's closed.

You can tell this is a good local spot to go to, because they weren't slammed, but they had a consistent flow of people coming in, and everyone was super patient waiting for their food, which, in today's time, people are super impatient. The customer service was really great. When our orders came up, it was before the time he gave us, so that was great also! The hoagies came out hot and fresh! The bread really does a number on this sandwich, because it is light, airy, has a good chew to it, AND, holds together as you make your way through the sandwich. The meat was seasoned nicely and was tender. I had onions, bell peppers, lettuce and mayo on mine. I think next time I'll add some jalapenos too for a little bit of kick. The fries were super hot too, would be good to have a good little dipping sauce for those. All in all, solid hoagie!

Presentation was nice loved the wooden serving trays. Burgers were nice size as seen on social media. I had the Texan burger with chili and cheese and my wife had Kions classic with cheese. Burgers were great. Meat was grilled to perfection with the chard edges i like. But were a little salty as were the onion rings. It taste like the same seasoning is used for the burger fries and onion rings so it became a little overwhelming. Which was part of the reason fir the 3 star. The other reason was the wait (to order and check out) due to the lack of staff and the other is the price. $66 for 2 burgers, fries and onion rings which the portions aren't worth the $10 price. Then thanking them for taking the time to leave you a review (good or bad) and read reviews with the intent to understand not to respond. We don't know what's going on in your personal life when we enter your establishment just as you don't know what's going on in ours.. you expect us to repect your business upon entering as we expect a level of service and professionalism that makes us feel good about spending our money. If your loss was going to impact your service maybe inform people when they enter that service is going to be a little slow due to short staff. I see your favorite thing to say is "our prices are listed". Don't you think we know that? Don't you think we seen the price on the menu when we ordered? So obviously we're not complaining about the price but more so what we got for the price. Though we can see how much we're going to spend before ordering, we can not see what we're getting for what we're spending until it comes out. And that is what I was referring to.. price vs portion. Please be kind to the workers there at the Cypresswood location. Went in for the free birthday sandwich and was told I had to register for it 6 days in advance. I told them that it sounded like false advertisement. I ordered one anyway and paid. Watched the order taker whisper to the sandwich maker, which made me suspicious. After eating the sandwich I had diarrhea like no other. They had sprinkled a laxative on the sandwich. Wow! how criminal. The order taker was an older white lady and the sandwich maker was a younger black woman. I wish I knew how to catch them and have them arrested. I use to love coming here for the soup and salad... they no longer have soup and the chicken salad, salad is NOTHING like it used to be. I didn't bother because no toaster obviously means they don't really do that. But it's nice that they'll accommodate if you want a grilled bun. They don't have many toppings. Just lettuce tomatoes and onions. I got my 6" "Mike's Way" which includes all of these plus olive oil and some spices (probably oregano and basil but I'm not sure). Good location for an easy pop but traffic can get congested in this part of Sawdust at times. Staff was nice which always makes for a positive experience. They have a rewards club too if you go often enough. Also got some cookies. By volume the big cookie pack and the mini cookies are equal. Price is $4 and change. If they want to improve, they need to: * Make sure staff (especially ownership) are knowledgeable about their own menu * Keep key ingredients like avocado in stock * Improve the quality and freshness of the bread, especially for plant-based orders where the bread plays such a big role in the overall flavor The food should speak for itself, and right now, it's not saying much.
